On November 24, 2012 I paid $558.25 to have 4 new tires installed on my 2009 Mitsubishi outlander. 3 days later I had to put more air in one of the tires. This went on for months as it was easier for me to top off the tires than to take the car back in for service. In July I finally took the car back in because the valve stem broke off. Understandably, they charged me to replace the broken valve stem. I also had my brakes replaced while I was there. The total bill on July 2, 2013 was $596.85. Shortly after, a different tire was leaking slowly. I did not wait this time. After almost four weeks of going back and forth with them, they decided it was another valve stem. On my July 27, 2013 receipt, they state "RF TIRE STILL LEAKING. THIRD TIME FOR THIS REPAIR ! ! !". However I was still charged for the valve stem that was clearly damaged when they took off the tires to replace the brakes. After much discussion, manager [redacted] agreed to reduce the price for the valve stem from 119.80 to 69.06, their cost. I was not very satisfied with the arrangement, but was tired of wasting my time. Today I went back to get two new tires put on. I told [redacted] that I would not be paying for any valve stems that his employees damaged today, including slow leaks that I do not currently have. He would not agree to that condition. Apparently, incompetence is part of the experience at National Tire and Battery.

While NTB was responsive in rounding up the tires I needed, their free brake check appears to be simply a scam to prey on unaware customers. Your free brake check declared that my car needed from brake pads and rotors. My mechanic verified that I would not need brake pads or rotors for another 30,000 miles. Plus your "deal" was the same price as lifetime brakes and rotors from the dealership!!!!

In August 2016, my wife's car stopped running while she was driving on the highway. Almost getting hit, she was lucky enough to have someone stop and help push her to the side. We have had good experiences with NTB in the past and they were the closest place for her to get towed to. The tow truck driver was convinced it was her battery and or the fuel pump. Simple enough fixes, so we had it towed to NTB. A week went by and we get the car back, $1200 poorer too. A week goes by of her driving it and she has the same exact problem. So I call and they agree to replace the pump again saying it was probably just a bad pump. It happens, things can arrive DOA. So they have the car again and fix it. This time when we go to pick it up, our car has 8k more miles on it, food spilled on the seats, the car smelled like oil and gas and it was running weird when I drove it home. 3 days later, same exact problem. I call the store where I took it and the manager was rude and a total [redacted]. I called him out on everything and he denied it all. Of course he did, right? I then asked if they even replaced the battery and fuel pump. He insisted they did but I find it hard to believe that we got 2 bad fuel pumps in a row. I called the CEO and left him a voice mail to call me back. He had someone from his staff call. Which they setup for our local Mazda dealer to fix the car on NTB's expense. OK fine no problem. Well now it is about a month later and we are still having issues with our car. Ever since NTB touched it, it has not worked right. I called NTB's CEO the day after Thanksgiving and have followed up with 3 more calls. All of which they have not returned or attempted to reach out to me. The most recent problem with our car happened while my wife was driving down a busy road and the car just stopped because of the faulty fuel pump and sensor. She almost got hit by a truck with both of our kids in the car. I called the CEO a 5th time yesterday and he has yet to contact me. I will be getting a lawyer involved and will be suing to the max allowable in the state of PA. Stay away from NTB at all cost.

I bought 4 new tires from NTB in July 2015 along with the Hazard warranty. I did successfully used the warranty twice: once for a replacement (had to pay the labor cost) and another for a plug (no cost). In June 2016, I came in because my back tires kept losing air. They took my car back right away without letting me know it would be a 1 hour + wait. I wouldn't have minded if I had just known. Then they came out and told me I needed new brakes, new rotars and a new set of tires. Ok, I knew about the brakes and wasn't surprised about the rotars, but why do I need new tires and why am I losing air? They told me my rear tire had two nails in it so it couldn't be patched. Oh, and my tires hadn't been rotated regularly enough so I needed all new ones. I informed them that I was very upset that they wouldn't have told me that my new tires needed to be rotated at every oil change AND if I would have just brought them back to NTB, it would have been a FREE service! This was my first time buying tires and I guess I just expected better customer service. So, back to the nails. It's under warranty. They just acted like they couldnt help me so I left. And called corporate to complain. They said the store manager would call me and I told them I never wanted to deal with that location (Union City, GA) again. So a district manager emailed me and asked me what the problem was. I explained all this and never got a response. I didn't expect free tires. I just expected them to give me a reason to have all that work done with them.
NEXT - I ended up going to a mechanic who specialized in my make of vehicle. He replaced my brakes and rotars for same cost as NTB. He looked at the back tires and found two nails in the one tire - but only one of the nails had penetrated the tire and one nail in the other tire. He plugged them both for $10. AND he informed me that although I do need to rotate my tires regularly, my tires were fine and did not need to be replaced.
I will NEVER return to NTB and urge anyone else to do the same. I was hoping that this was isolated to one location, but I guess they were just following company standards.

Had my Tires replaced. Balanced and the whole deal. In and out in great times.

I really don't know why my husband put up with them!!! EVERY single time we've been there they "fix" something and we come back for something else that they messed up from our 1st visit the VERY next day. The real messed up thing about it is they charge us to fix their mistakes!!!!!!! Yesterday, the same thing happened; my husband paid over $120 for the serpentine belt, drove home 7mins and the power steering is out!!!! Now we have to go back and deal with their bull AGAIN! They did the same thing with my car once. I stopped going there and my car stopped having "problems" after mechanic work. I plan on notifying the world of this [redacted] company until no one goes there. Enough is enough!

First, a simple oil change at the tire kingdom in Apopka, FL took over two hours. Second, the staff managed to loose the KEY to my ignition, taking another 20 minutes to find it. Finally, rude staff LOST the hub cap to my rim and has yet to find it. General manager [redacted] and store manager [redacted] were extremely rude and did not seem to care that their staff LOST my hub cap. General manager [redacted] said to me that "I do not need your business" illustrating the poor moral and customer services that plagues this store.

I took my 2010 Honda Pilot for new brakes and to even the roters. Spent well over $700 and had to take the car back more than 5 times after the job was "done". The breaks would kick back up, the wheel was shaking, my car was not like this when I took it in.
They ended up fixing it on the 5th visit, but they were rude, upset to see me again. I just wanted my vehicle and paid job to be done correctly.
They gave me a card for a free oil change that the manager approved for all my troubles. When I went back to get my oil change the card was not accepted since the guy did not work there anymore. The manager turned it down. Just a horrible place to do business, they are rude, deceitful and unpleasant all around. Go anywhere else!

Brought car in to NTB at South Loop in Houston because it was having difficulty starting. Brought in at 6:45pm so had to leave it overnight. Was called at 8am, needs new battery. After battery was put in needs new radiator hoses. This is a 2008 Nissan. For the diagnosis, a new battery and installation, an upper and lower radiator hose and coolant - $670. That's almost 700 bucks for $200 of parts and fluids. They wanted to do an additional $600 of work which I declined. This place is the king of upselling and ridiculous labor charges.

Buyer beware, it's gonna cost you.

I bought 4 new tires from the Tire Kingdom in Land O Lakes, Florida approximately one year ago. I also purchased a lifetime warranty. I choose Sailun brand because the store promised me that they would always carry this brand in stock. The tires had less than 6,200 miles on them when I noticed that my van was pulling to the right, and the front left tire had an enormous aneurism. I called Tire Kingdom to have it replaced, and they told me they no longer carried this tire at any store in the state. I was told that they would contact the manufacturer and call me back. I called the cooperate office and, amazingly, my Tire Kingdom store had one available for me in one hour. I went to the store that same day to have my new tire put on. I have a custom 1980's aluminum one spun set of rims with Ford caps that are now impossible to find for my vehicle. Knowing this I removed it the hubcap of the tire to be worked on and hid it in the back of my van were no one should have any reason to go. The technician still managed to find it, and then proceed to break it as he put it back on. The technician also swapped my custom stainless steal valve cap for a stripped plastic one. It should have been obvious to the store manager that I was already an unhappy customer prompting him to put his best man on the job, but this was not the case. Maybe he did put his most experienced man on it which only goes to show the poor quality of work they are capable of at this tire store. Either way I feel like I have been lied to, stolen from, taken advantage of, and treated as if I am of no value as a customer. Needless to say I will never be going to another Tire Kingdom for any future needs. A company's reputation is associated with all of its affiliates so this cooperation should care about the poor quality of products, work, and customer service delivered by their stores.
