I recently had the pleasure of working with [redacted] and his guys at Toledo basements. I spoke with [redacted] numerous times on the phone before inviting him out to view my project. At such time he had availability but I was waiting for another contractor to finish before he could start. Although the other contractor delayed, and the guys availability became more restricted and limited, they were able to pick up where others had fallen short and finish the project on a truncated timeline, without penalizing me in any way. They came early and stayed as late as needed to fulfill their word. Throughout the project if even the smallest of concerns was raised everyone worked to eliminate stress from me.

From my experience working with others, the biggest issues when dealing with a contractor of any type, is they simply say one thing to get the initial contract signed and then do another when they get it. At Toledo basements this is the opposite. They worked to state exactly how things would be, then worked hard to over deliver on those promises. This was in every aspect of the job from quality of work, timeliness of completion, and most importantly in the way they respected my house and family as they were here. One nice touch is when the owner ([redacted]) calls or texts daily to check in and make sure EVERYTHING is going smooth and perfect, if not he will work tirelessly to make sure it is!!!!! Moreover, when something came up after the job was complete, they came back and took care of even the smallest of concerns, just to make sure I was happy.

In the end, my only regret is my next project is not one that is in their area of expertise. I would not only recommend them to family and friends, I would gladly invite them back to take care of any additional project I had.

Where do I begin? Toledo Basements is a first-rate, top-notch organization which my husband and I highly recommend for anyone interested in seeing what their basement could look like to bring added enjoyment to your family! Realizing we needed extra living space for our three growing children as they move into the teenage years, we bit the bullet and interviewed companies to finish our basement. Toledo Basements stood out as the most hands-on and excited contractor by far! The owner literally stood in our unfinished basement and gave us a diagram of what he could do with a price of what we could afford! The construction process was efficient, the foreman and crew were friendly and eager to please, and the materials were top quality. Anything we threw at them, say electronic stadium theater chairs or varying ceiling heights or dimmers on all the ceiling lights, was met with professionalism and expertise! We have been very appreciative of the work ethic demonstrated by the owner and employees. When water spots appeared on some ceiling tiles, the owner stopped by personally to replace them (and now we get a personal phone call twice a year to switch our house humidifier on and off with the change of seasons!) lol Quite honestly, we have utilized Toledo Basements for more projects other than the basement because of their integrity and expertise in all areas of home improvement. We give Toledo Basements our full recommendation and are willing to talk to anyone about how excellent our basement turned out and changed our lives, and if you want to see it, we would be happy to schedule a time to show it off!
