The work was completed in two days when I was told it would take three and I know whyThe installers left holes, chips and gouges in the drywall along with dirty scuff marks around every windows but one The outside of the windows had large gaps on top and bottom with caulk and extensive stucco repair When I noticed a window not finished on the outside, I called the installer who told me he was too busy to fix it and to make an appointment to get it fixedI had painters four days later come and pressure wash prior to paintingGuess which window leaked? And it didn't just leak, the water poured into the houseLuckily, when I called for service George was good enough to send two guys over to fix itThey fixed that window and also noticed the window next to it was not finished either(The person answering the phone could not find my purchase or installation information even though it was done just a week prior and they had just cashed my check) My neighbor was nice enough to recommend this company to me and was totally appalled by the damage done to my home since he did not have a single issueHe and I have made many phone calls to the company but I have yet to hear back from themI have also emailed pictures of the damages done but those have gone unanswered It is an embarrassment to have people come into my home and see the mess left behind by the installersAny money saved on electric is going to be spent on drywall repairs and painting
Kenny K***, service Manager for Desert King Windows, was at our house to perform a routine maintenance job He did a very good job fixing the lock and was very professional in his approach He also spent time answering other questions we had on the Windows and sliders that we had installed one year ago We have confidence that should we have other issues with their products, they will be taken care of efficiently and thoroughly *** *
We had all windows in our home replaced by Desert King The original install was done completely wrong and the windows leaked When they sent out someone to repair the damages and install the windows correctly, he stated that he was a sub contractor and not an employee of Desert King, but he'd done lots of work for them because the employees always did poor work In addition to the windows being installed incorrectly, the water damage to drywall and stucco caused us to incur plenty of time with our house being torn apart in order to repair They took out a section of wall about 12'x8' and had an open wall in our house for nights...during the summer Once the drywall was fixed and windows were installed correctly, they left us to clean up the mess, paint all of the rooms and paint the exterior of the house The owner, Ron Shortt, stated that if we wanted them to do any more work at our house that we'd have to take him to court We did take them to small claims court and the judge awarded us $for our time and expense Ron cut us a check that arrived just last week The check was for $- and stated that it was of This shows the type of man he is Consider before you work with them if this is the type of company you want to do business with Just be warned, if anything goes wrong - they will not stick around to make it right and you may have to see them in court as well!

On February 12th, I had a sale representative coming to my houseI put the dogs away and get the keys to unlock our new security door to invite him in A few month ago, we invested in a professional security door via a screen door which has a huge different in priceThe rep seemed very impatient as caught on security camerasHe came in and looked aroundTherefore I pointed out the patio sliding window to be changedHe immediately replied "Can I at least put my stuff somewhere" I thought it was a rough approach but always give the benefit of the doubtMy husband made room on the kitchen table where he dropped his briefcase He then asked what Windows we are looking to changeI informed we would like to replace the sliding windowHe proceeds to correct me with a smirky smile "no, it is a door" So, he measures it and said "you know it is going to be expensive like thousands...it is a big door!" I recently purchased three fairly large replacement windows for my home from Desert King Peter, from their service department, came to my home to personally measure my windows He clearly presented information about my most cost effective options and explained how the entire process would be handled if I chose to proceed with Desert King This was not a high pressure sales pitch like I got from other companies My windows arrived in the time that I was promised, and I was able to get installation scheduled fairly quickly On installation day, Peter arrived to do the installation personally He arrived on time, and with all of the tools and materials that were required He had many years of experience, and it showed in the professional manner that he handled every aspect of the install On most window replacement installations, there are unexpected challenges Our case was no different Fortunately, Peter was able to overcome those challenges, and we are very satisfied with our new windows
