As a longtime car collector, I have been having cars transported for about 20 years. My experience with Top Knotch Auto Shippers has been the WORST! Their representative indicated that they have trucks and she dispatches, as she provided a "low ball" transport fee; this wasn't true. She also indicated that they could only accept a deposit through Zelle and not the traditional credit card companies that all reputable auto transport companies accept. After signing their agreement which provides for a return of the deposit if they have assigned a driver within 10 days they are to refund the deposit. During the intervening time period they were impossible to communicate with. They would not answer the phone or return messages. They would not respond to text messaging, and the emails I send "bounced back". They did not provide any transport carrier. Of course, they did not return the deposit. The FMCSA Motor Carrier site indicates that their insurance is pending cancellation. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST USING THIS COMPANY TO TRANSPORT ANY VEHICLES.

Vehicle transport
Upon acceptance of my request, Top Knotch issued a contract specifying a pickup date of my vehicle in Darien Georgia beginning December 31. I made a "Zelle" payment to *** of $137 which covered their brokerage fee and $42 in "tolls". THe driver would receive $400 upon delivery.
The driver never picked up my vehicle...they contacted me saying they had another drive who could pick up right away, but it would be $100 more...I, reluctantly agreed. That driver fell through as well...I contacted him and he said he had cancelled. ***, from Top Knotch, said she'd get another one. She said she had a new driver yesterday...today she provided me with the driver's contact info...I called him and he said no, he was not picking it up and to contact them...I just called *** again, and it went to voicemail.

Desired Outcome

Deposit I paid to "***" as the "deposit and tolls" for my shipment. It's been over two weeks now, and no confirmed driver for my vehicle...despite a $100 increase in the original contract price.

The agreement in writing I had was for a COD payment of $500 to the driver. The vehicle was picked up in Darien Georgia with a bill of lading specifying a $600 COD payment to driver upon deliveryI had not approved this...they have NO signed agreement nor a verbal authorization, even, for this additional amount. Top-Knotch swindled the operator into believing they had a $600 fee, but KNEW they only had a $500 agreement from me. When I discovered this, only after asking the selling dealer in Darien Georgia about my vehicle, I contacted the trucking company whose driver had my truck and advised them that I had not authorized the $600 amount and for them to contact Top-Knotch...Top-Knotch would not take their calls. I believe Top-Knotch calculated that they had me "between a rock and a hard place" since the driver had my vehicle. They have lied and not honored the contract between us. My next step would be to file a police report for fraudulent theft, since they have tried to exact an additional $100 out of the deal in order to get the vehicle pickup dispatched. They should kick in the additional $100 to the driver from the "fees" they have already received from me.

Basically called and said they have a driver on the phone but they need my info, gave it to them not knowing that they did not have a driver and only wanted it to put it on the carrier search board. The only time, out of countless phone calls, that they answered the out me I on hold for 30 minutes. No replies to emails, texts or calls and I found through other brokers that they kept increasing my quote without my consent. I had left voicemails, text and emails requesting them to remove me from their system and even had an increase in price in my posting after doing so. This ruined my chance if getting a carrier in the time and price that I had available to me. Initial text said she was a dispatcher, then later said she had to talk to a dispatcher.

Desired Outcome

Remove me from their posting to move my vehicle, causing problems with finding a carrier at my real budget.

I did not contact Top Knotch, they received my phone number from a quoting web site and told me that they had a carrier on the phone ready to move my car. They then asked me to give them the addresses and that they would call me back, that never happened and instead posted my information on the central dispatch board.
They never called me back and have increased the amount that they told me it would cost. I have left countless emails, texts, calls and voicemails requesting them to remove me from their board posting with no answers or returns. I need them to simply remove me from their system so that the company I am actually working with can properly and within my budget get me a carrier.

*** from Top Knotch called yesterday and I let her know that all that I want is for Top Knotch to remove my vehicle from central dispatch. She inquired about details from someone named *** that works at top knotch, but there has been no conversation or agreement with anyone named ***

All that I want is for Top Knotch to remove my vehicle from their central dispatch listing and we can forever be done with this.

Top Knotch failed to provide service and stole my $200 deposit.
Top Knotch agreed to tow my 2000 International Freightliner that broke down in Binghamton, NY. The company sent me a link to submit a $200 refundable deposit through Zelle with ref. "Odalys Cabrera". I paid the deposit and NO ONE showed up. I had to call a company affiliate trucking company, as I am a trucker, to store my truck with them until I could make the trip back home to Georgia. The money was transferred on November 8, 2019. It is now almost a month later and I have been calling the company for a refund. Initially, I was told I would "get a call back from their billing department". No one has called me back and when I call myself, I am sent to voicemail (they are screening my calls).

Desired Outcome

I would like my $200 refunded immediately. There were no issues on end, the company received their deposit but no service was rendered. No other towing company was called, I handled everything myself.

Top Knotch stole my $200 deposit and did not provide any services.
This is my second Revdex.com complaint. After numerous attempts to contact the company for a refund of my $200 deposit to tow my truck when NO ONE showed up, the rude woman answering the phone at the home-based business lies and states that she will "have someone from their accounts department contact" the customers to refund their money but no one calls. A scam. I have gone through my bank and the only other option is to sue this company.

None. Litigation is now in process.

The business did not offer a solution. The business stated I "double brokered" but I did not. Top Knotch uses this lie, as evident with the other complaints, to justify scamming defenseless consumers out of money they never intend on returning. The company sends a link through Zelle to pay a deposit, which I have done happily. There was no double brokering, the truck was scheduled to tow on a regular business day, it was not a holiday as they claim. This posting will be included in my court proceedings.

Scheduled a car pickup and paid deposit. Car was never picked up and now no one will answer my calls or text. All we want is a refund on the deposit.
Scheduled a pickup with them on 10/23/19 to get car shipped on 10/25/19. Paid Deposit 10/24/19 via Zelle. Waited for pickup on 10/25/19 and no one showed. Texted and called both numbers and was never responded to. Waited until 10/28/19 to find another carrier. Once new carrier was secured, reached out again to Top Notch and was told the quoted price had to change to $900, but they could not tell me when they could move the car? As of today 11/12/9 have still not had any further correspondence. They are denying my and my fathers calls. We paid $137 deposit and would just like it returned as my parents are disabled and a vet on a fixed income. Was quoted $800 and ended up having to pay $1050 with new carrier as Top Notch was not able to secure driver for quoted price.

The contract signed was for $837, this was inclusive of the $137 deposit. They then told me they couldn't move if for the original quote, they wanted me to pay $900. I did not agree to that amount and made it clear, keep the original amount or refund my deposit. I did not double book as they did not ever have a driver to move the car. I've previously provided evidence requesting they do it for the contracted price or return my money. They are con artist and thieves. Please see attached. They knew moving the the truck was of high importance and they tried to finagle more money from me. I've attached the conversation saying do it for contracted rate or return money.

They were aware this move was time sensitive. After failing the first attempt and attempting to raise the cost to move the car the next time I told them to refund my deposit as they were not reliable. They avoided several text and calls from both my Father and myself. They knew, as did other brokers, that they had under bid the job and would not be able to move it. This is their attempt to take money from people for poor business decisions on their part. I am happy to reach out to the company who actually moved the car and have them make a statement regarding the under bidding. This company should not be allowed to steal peoples money for services they did not and could not provide. If they are that hard up for $137 then clearly their business is tanking. That money is needed for my disabled mothers prescriptions and doctor visits, which she nearly missed because Top Knotch decided moving my fathers car was not a priority. It saddens me that people are so heartless.

Company got 2 DEPOSIT payments by error on day of order to ship my car. Lady on company phone said I will get my 150 back same day but now no refund .

These people are thiefs and liars! I have tried and tried to talk, text, email them ...on phone when I get through they put me on hold then hang up after 20 miniutes!!!! No reply by email or text and I sent copy of bank overpay to them!!! I have sent PROOF of this company getting 2 deposits when they are only due 1 of 150 dollars..
Why have I not got my second deposit back ,sent by accident ,on ZELLE ACCOUNT..I even sent SNAPSHOTS. Was guaranteed to get my vehicles picked up by a certain day because the auction left them outside the gates for them but they did not get them!
I was solicited by top notch and they told me they had a driver in the area and also asked if I had a contract with anyone else, I said no and I did not. They told me my vehicles were on the board and for me to call the 2 companies that had them listed, she supplied me(top notch employee) with the numbers of the companies and told me to call them and tell them to remove them off the board because it was illegal to have them listed, I was concerned so I called the 2 companies and left messages because they did not answer the phone. Top Notch called me back and said they had a driver and my price went from $695 to 2350 because I had 2 vehicles. But top notch said they can get them much cheaper, so after the other companies removed the listing top notch said I have to sign a contract with them to get the driver to get them, they told me they could pick it up on saturday so I told them I had to call the auction company to see if they were open, they said they were not but they would leave the vehicles with the keys in them if they would pick them up on saturday they would be safe. I called top notch and they said they would pick them up saturday, I got a call from the driver on saturday night said he tried to contact top notch to get another driver because he had truck issues but they put him on hold for 25 minutes and never returned to the phone. I was worried about my vehicles and called, left text messages and still no answer. Finally they answered the phone on Monday and said the driver broke down but my trucks sat there the whole weekend. I text top notch and said cancel my contract I need to find a driver before my trucks were stolen or vandalized, as soon as I text top notch calls and said I could not cancel even though they told me they were guaranteed to be picked up they told me I was bound to them for 10 days, 10 days passed *** I could start the process of getting a refund but when I call they put me on hold, tell me I had a contract with another company, which I did not sign or have a contract with anybody but top notch. They have lied from the beginning and am to the point where I will use every resource I have to shut them down. They cannot take advantage of people who do not know any better the first time around. The sales Rep was *** and will say everything you want to hear to get the contract and is all downhill from there.

I am wanting my deposit back but I am afraid they will extort more money from me or give my CC information out, I do want my full deposit back though!

They are not telling the truth and are trying to get out of giving my deposit back, I did not double book, she said I would get my deposit back if the driver could not pick the trucks up, she said he broke down I called her back and she said she is getting another driver, she did not respond again. Please show proof that I double booked! Read their other complaints. They are lying and are very deceitful. They stated they would pick them up and if they did not after 10 days my contract was void! I contacted a driver myself and had them picked up after the 10 days. Again look at their track record I will advertise for them every chance I get via social media, twitter, craigslist. They did not pick up my vehicles and were left outside the gated area and if they can show me that I double booked I would more than be happy to stop pursuing the issue!

They did not render a service like they claim! I did not have a contract with another company and Top Knotch did not pick up my trucks. They said they sent a driver then the driver should have picked up my trucks. I asked specifically will I get my deposit back if they did not pick them up because they were left outside the gate and *** who claims to be religious, karma will catch up to her for lying so much, but anyway she said yes I would get my deposit back. She now says I double booked, show me that please, they are trying to get out of repaying me my deposit. She brings up text messages, see if she finds all of the text messages of me asking where is the driver she supposably sent, another lie. Look at your track record Top Knotch, you are terrible business owners and I will contact congressman to see if they can stop you from ripping people off.

I purchase vehicles from auctions and have them shipped to me all the time. Krystal always takes care of me and gives me great rates and my vehicles delivered on time. I highly recommend Top Knotch.

I contracted with Top Knotch Auto movers to my car from Sarasota FL to Sumter SC. They never showed!
I contracted with Top Knotch Auto movers to have them transport my 1962 Studebaker Hawk from Sarasota FL to Sumter SC. On Friday, 28 June 2019. Not only did they fail to fulfill the contract, but to this date, I have received NO explanation, NO apology and in fact NO communication. The car still sits in Sarasota Florida and I have received no communication from Top Knotch either prior to or since the scheduled date of pick up. I have called approximately 15 times both before and after the promised pick up, and was able to talk to some one on only two occasions prior to the scheduled pick up (none after!), and despite assurances that the promised pick up would occur, none did!

Desired Outcome

I made a $137 Deposit with Pay Pal through American Express and have placed that amount in dispute. Since NO service was provided, I expect immediate repayment.

After submitting my complaint, perhaps in response to the Revdex.com complaint, I received an apology of sorts from Top Knotch Auto shippers.

As of this date, Top Knotch refunded my $137 deposit. No explanation was received from Top Knotch as to their poor communication, but evidently they were unable to locate a transport vehicle, and thus could not meet the date and time on which they had agreed to pick up my vehicle.

Why I was not called and an explanation provided, I do not know. This was my first experience in attempting to move a vehicle, and from what I am led to believe by other transporters as well as from other Top Knotch Reviews, this was not their first similar problem.

In my case, at least Top Knotch did refund my money.

I provided a deposit for auto transport services. 12 days have elapsed since the date of agreement. No driver has been provided.
Terms were greed to on 06/01/19 to transport a vehicle from MA to MT for a fee of $837. A deposit of $137 was provided on same day. I was told that a driver was available for 06/03, 04, and 05. We agreed to 06/05/19. I was told I would receive a call on 06/04 from the driver to schedule the pick up. I never received the call. I later received notification that Top Knotch actually posted my job on the National Board for $1,100. I made several calls to Top Knotch to discuss their tactics. My call were repeatedly disconnected when I told them whom I was. It has now been 12 days since we agreed to terms. Per our contract, I am allowed to cancel the order for full refund of my deposit after 10 days. The company continues to ignore my request for refund for services not rendered. This is a clear case of Bait and Switch. Additionally, their Customer Service is horrible. This cannot be allowed.

Simply immediately honor the contract and refund my deposit of $137.

I would like to provide additional information following contact with Nikky from Top Knotch today, 06/18/19. *** claims that my deposit is non-refundable since she said I "double booked". This is another fraud tactic by this highly unethical company.

I would like to clarify the timeline related to my contract with Top Knotch that shows evidence of their Bait and Switch scam:

- Contract agreed to on 06/01/19. Terms were that a driver would call me on 06/04/19 to arrange pick up of my vehicle on 06/05/19 for transport to Montana for a fee of $837.

- I provided the required deposit of $137 on 06/01/19.

- I never received a call from a driver on 06/04 nor on 06/05.

- I made numerous calls to Top Knotch to question what was going on only to be placed on lengthy holds or was repeatedly disconnected.

- It was clear that they were not going to honor the contract after several days of attempted resolution. I therefore contacted other transport companies for quotation.

- I was told by all companies that I contacted that I would never get a driver to do this job for the quoted price of $837. In fact, one company actually sent me a screen shot of the National Transportation Board that showed that Top Knotch posted my job on 06/06/19 (5 days after my deposit and contract) for $1,100 ($263 more than the contract terms). So it's clear that they low balled the quote to lure me in.

- Top Knotch later contacted me on 06/11/19 or 06/12/19 claiming they had a driver for $1,400. This is $563 greater than the contract terms. I refused to pay that price and asked for return of my deposit. As stated in the contract, I am allowed to cancel the contract without penalty after 10 days of failed service.

At no time did I agree to an alternate contract with any other company. In fact, no other contract would be accepted by a competitor as they know double booking would not get bids by truckers.

This is simply another tactic by this unethical company to defraud consumers. If Top Knotch is making this claim they should be asked to disclose which company I double booked with so they may be contacted to request evidence of the contract with them.

Thank you *** for the Revdex.com's continued support in this case. The response from Top Knotch is completely false. As previously communicated, at no time did I sign a contract with an alternate transport company while under contract with Top Knotch. Furthermore, the signed contract between Top Knotch and I expressly documents contract terms that Top Knotch clearly and intentionally breached. The timeline and screen shot that I provided is indisputable evidence that Top Knotch never intended to honor the signed contract terms and had operated in a deceitful and fraudulent way.

My request is that Top Knotch immediately refund my deposit of $137 for failure to meet contract terms.

once again the dispatch fee is non refundable. thats the brokers deposit. we dispatched a driver out but *** hired 2 companies at the same time which on the contract it states he cannot. and even so we dispatched a driver out. waynes deposit is non refundable. we did our part. he shouldnt have double brokered

These people are a complete scam. They quoted me 847 dollars to ship my vehicle. Included in that 847 was a down payment of 147 dollars to lock in the 847 price that they claimed to guarantee. They never answered emails and a week after paying them the 147 deposit with a sketchy pay app I had to call them to finally get through. It is then that they informed me they had a problem and that I would have to pay an additional 1300 dollars for them to ship the car. When I asked why it had gone up when I already signed a contract for 847 they got extremely hostile. The 2 females *** and Michele took turns tag teaming over the phone using foul language. They have been very rude and very hostile every time I've dealt with them on the phone.

Refund I know that I wont get my 147 dollars back but I would like to make it aware how easily they will say what you want to hear just to get you to give them money. I'm a hard working soldier. the customer's vehicle was oversized and inoperable and we needed a different carrier to transport his vehicle. here is signed docs and dispatch notice with driver's info

Be cautious with this outfit! They give you a low quote to pull you in, agree to your shipping date, then require deposit up front. Then the bad business begins..
They give you the runaround on a driver (waiting in drivers insurance..), then finally tell you there's an issue with the drivers insurance. However, if you check the board (central load board) your vehicle has never been accepted by any driver..?? Then they (Top Knotch) tell you they had to expedite the order (raise the offer to a potential driver). Then when they finally get a driver (after they missed the shipping date) they tell you it will cost more because the driver wanted more, and of course they won't honor the quote given in the beginning. Then if you tell them your not satisfied with the service they note you will forgot your deposit if you go with another provider..! Crazy!!
On top of that their communication very bad. They (*** and ***) will note they will call you back and never follow up. If you want info (in attempt to get an update) you have to call them, and get additional runaround. In my case they missed the coordinated pickup by three days, and it cost almost double. Beware!!

If I could give a negative rating that would be it. Not only did they make it complicated to get the cash the following happened.
1. They wouldn't take a credit card
2. They told me the pickup would be 2 days later after they got my money they did not return my 12 phone calls and 4 texts to both the owner and the dispatcher. I was calling to confirm/inquire what time on tuesday they were picking up. First time I actually received a phone call was 3 pm on Tuesday and I was on my way to airport.
Needless to say - it was a god awful experience other than they were the cheapest bid. BE AWARE.
I did find another that has a great reputation, knowledgable , speaks english & helped me through the process for 250 more than the 837 in my opinion money well spent. This is soo disappointing . Thank goodness my bank filed a claim and gave my 200 back that they wouldn't.

I was contacted by *** at Top Knotch Auto Shippers online and by phone because we needed a vehicle shipped. She quoted the best price so we went with them. I signed a contract and was told to download the cash app and pay her that way because she could not take my credit card number. I paid her $100 as broker to find driver to get our car shipped. She never secured a driver or contacted us back to set up vehicle transportation. We would not return our call email or text and our money was taken with no service. WE continue to try to contact *** and she hung up on my husband and put me on hold for over 10 minutes and never picked up.

my driver was dispatched to this order. the customer had the vehicle full of household items which is against fmcsa rules and regulations not to mention the vehicle was inoperable and she didnt say that. on the contract it states if the vehicle is inoperable theres a $150 -$200 inop fee which can go for a dry run fee due to loss of time and fuel. the customer only had $100 towards their deposit

the car was operable and there was nothing in the car . We were never contacted by this company to set up a driver we had no contact with a driver to even look at our car we hired another company to pick up our car and they drove it up on the truck no issues we contacted this company and the next day we had our car after waiting 2 weeks on top knot he the company we used out of Florida could not even find top
Knotch as a real company no one has ever heard of them I have all the documentation it was drivable and did not have anything in it we want our money back and we questioned this is even a real business

there is nothing I left out because there was no contact with this business. The company who did pick up the car can verify that it ran and there was nothing in it. The past statements cannot be truth. We were never contacted to set up a driver and waited 2 weeks before we had to contact another company to pick up our car.
Does Top knotch have any proof or documentation to back up what they are saying? The right thing is to return the money.
