great serviceTop Movers moved me from my bedroom townhouse in VA in two bedroom apartement in New York in AprilI got few quotes before choosing them, the price was not the lowest but somewhere in the middle, but Bill was very detailed and professional over the phone and I felt more comfortable to pay a little more and have a move done by professionalsEverything went smooth, the crew were really hardworking guys who didn't even took smoke breaksUnfortunately I don't remember their names, the foreman, Russian did all the packing, I never thought that someone could do this so fastI don't know probably it was late and they wanted to go home, so they work so very fastI guess it took even less than two hours to load my bedroom apartmentI would have spent whole day doing that by myselfDelivery was the next day, again very prompt and professionalNot a single bad wordHighly recommended

I had originally hired a different moving company to move my belongings from NYC to CTWhen they were four hours late on the moving day,and no one picked up the phone when I called I decided to hire someone more trustworthy and called Top Movers, although they were not at the top of my list as they charge quite highlyI asked them if they could send some movers right nowThey couldI ended up paying a fair price for high quality move with a good company

We did not receive a loss/damage claim form from the customer We are sending the form to the customer right nowThe customer can either fill out the form and return it back to us, or contact [redacted] (claim department) to file a loss and damage claim

Top Movers helped me to move from my bedroom house in CT to Florida last monthIt was a very big move and I spent few days surfing the internet for the right companyI hesitated about Top Movers as they are not a big company, and I already booked the move with United Van Lines agent, who charged a lot more by the wayBut finally, I felt like Bill from Top Movers was more professional and I read some complaints on United Van LinesSo I decided to book with Top instead The move went very smooth, the crew was nice, hard working young guysThe customer service was helpfulNothing to complain aboutI hope I won't have to move again in my life, but If I will, I'll go with Top Movers again

I am rejecting this response because:
It was the way in which your movers chose to pack our belonging that the number of items increased not the total amount of cubic feet those items took up For example I had two tables noted on the estimate Your movers packed them as two items each, one for the table and one for the glass, for a total of items rather than My sofa was taken apart and marked as two items rather than the one item it was All of my cushions for our outdoor furniture were marked as a seperate item than the furniture in the quote If you are going to count one way for the estimate and another way for the moving of course the number is going to increase I have countless examples of this including some boxes that had two numbers on them When you double count a box then yes it will be twice the amount of boxes needed
On top of which when you delivered us our items they all fit within cubic feet very similar to the quote and not nearly the amount that was deceptively packed into the truck originally Again I'm happy to pay for the amount of cubic feet you delivered but I'm not willing to pay for the amount that you tried deceive us into believing we had
I have already filed a complaint with *** I have already stopped payment on the credit card charges I'd like for you to simply refund my credit card charges and call it even Unfortunately by continuing you drag this out you are going to force me to file a consumer fraud action against you in court as the behavior of your employees was blatantly unethical and illegalIn addition I will file for legal fees along with a bill for my time and effort spent dealing with you on this matter and the additional storage space I'm not stuck renting as you lied to me about the amount of cubic feet my items really took up
Please help me end this quickly rather than drag out the time and paperwork for both of us because I will not give up until I'm satisfied with the result

Excellent services! This was our first experience with movers as we have always moved ourselvesThe crew was very professionalThey finished half an our earlier than was expected, so I left the guys extra tipsWe will definitely use them again in the future!

DO NOT USE THIS "COMPANY!" They are unprofessional, dishonest, and lazyI had to get the police involved, twice, just to ensure my own safety and that of my belongings
The sales rep who did the estimate was fantasticNever reached him againThe movers showed up lateOur estimate was for hours of labor, and they decided they didn't want to work that late at nightThey asked us about an hour or two in to split the move into two days, put them up in a motel, buy them dinner, and add gratuity to the billWe called their office, the manager told us that is absolutely not their policy and that she would make sure they finished the job that day, because otherwise we would have to pay for overnight storage and other chargesShe said "it's fine for them to unload at night, they finish the job, that is what you are paying them to do." She also called the foreman to make sure this was communicated to him as well
When the truck was over an hour late to our destination, I called the foreman to ask where they wereBy then, the office was closedHe said "our boss told us to go to a motel for the night." He only brought the truck to our place because I told him I would call the police otherwiseHe was yelling at me and threatening me, so the police did in fact comeWhen I mentioned that he was doing exactly what his boss told him not to do, he said "I am the boss." The police got all of his information and made sure he came back the next morningAt that point he demanded money for storage and several hours of additional labor, in cash, before he would unload anythingThe police once again had to get involved and explain that they would arrest him if he drove away with our belongings.The police officer had to stay and watch while the truck was unloaded because the foreman threatened to just stop working and leave otherwise
The officer then wrote the amount of money that I signed to authorize - I agreed to pay the balance from the estimate after my deposit at the time, but any additional charges would need to be a separate bill, that we could dispute in courtThe movers dumped everything on the ground floor and would not re-assemble or move anything into other roomsThe foreman waited until the police officer was gone and then yelled/threatened even more until I signed the paper saying what time they leftMy card was charged for more than the amount I signed to authorize, to include hours of labor they did not put in and overnight storage I did not agree toHe started cursing me out when he finally left
This whole time, no one from their office would return my callsTheir website is hacked with rather alarming images that mimic a terrorist organization (I sincerely hope it's just an impersonation)I cannot reach their office to file a complaint through their "company." I will be disputing this charge, and either suing or counter-suing depending on their responseThis went beyond a contract disagreement and I am just thankful that I had witnesses and a police presence thereDO NOT USE THIS "COMPANY!"

My experience with Top Movers was outstanding! From the beginning of the move to the end. My furniture was delivered the following day, on time and very quickly. Everything arrived in excellent condition. I highly recommend this company!

When they were four hours late on the moving day,and no one picked up the phone when I called I decided to hire someone more trustworthy and called Top Movers, although they were not at the top of my list as they charge quite highly. I asked them if they could send some movers right now. They could. I ended up paying a fair price for high quality move with a good company.

Just want to say thanks to Top movers who did a move for me on May 1. I was so impressed with the work they did, Tim, Dan and Eddie are real professionals. I've never seen a crew working so fast. They loaded my 2 bedroom apartment on the truck within 2 hours! Unbelievable! In three days I got my furniture in Florida, safe and sound.
Thanks again guys. Now I know who I call on my next move.

I am rejecting this response because: Part of the problem with the hourly rate had to do with several of the movers sitting around and doing nothing for hours but scratch their head while trying to decide how to squeeze belongings onto the truck.  Also spending hours taping pieces of furnishings that didn't require it.  They also charged us for overage because the truck wasn't returned before midnight (see above standing around comment and the fact that the truck arrived 2 1/2 hours late).  At 5:00 pm the movers told us they were almost done and that everything would fit.  At 8:00 there were still many things to be loaded and that's when they said it wouldn't fit.  The leader of the group surveyed all belongings at 2:30 and said it would all fit.  There was included in the original estimate a very large refrigerator (36" wide) washer and dryer that were taken off the inventory.  Lazy and slow workers added to the hourly rate.  After the determination was made by the leader, hours were spent with nothing being done.  The movers sat in my front yard while the leader tried to contact someone from the company.  Business statement that they offered to come back for the same hourly rate is untrue.  They quoted us $1100 to come back the next morning for a load that took 2 older people (my husband and myself) an hour to an hour and a half at most to load.  The cost for us to move the remaining belongings was $170 including gas for the UHaul truck.
