Vehicle Information- *** *** ***. Last digits of VIN ***. Last digits of my credit card ***The barnacle was place on my vehicle on Wednesday, January 31, at pm at *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** * *** ** ***The Barnacle was returned to *** *** *** *** *** *** Teller St in Arvarda at a drop off box. As I dropped off the Barnacle I called 303-548-7624 and spoke to a woman who I believe was Kathy to let her know that I had just dropped it off.I was charged $over the phone to remove a Barnacle from my windshield while I was visiting my parents’ homeAfter the payment was made over the phone to a pre-recorded message to get a code which released the barnacle, the pre-recorded message said that another $deposit was charged to my account which totaled $The pre-recorded message said that the $deposit would be credited back to my account as soon as I returned the device which I did on Feb 1st. It’s been over two weeks and the money has not been creditedI tried contacting the company but they are refusing to return my depositThey are claiming that the device was returned five days later which is not true. The woman said that they had a GPS tracker on the device if this is true, they know the barnacle was in fact returned the following day. Please let me know if there is anything else that I can do to solve this issueI greatly appreciate your time and help

This customer received the Barnacle on his vehicle for parking in a Handicap parking space with no Handicap placard or plate. The device was placed on his vehicle on July 14, the customer paid through the automated phone system to release the device from his vehicle. The phone system clearly states it is his reprehensibility to immediately return the device. A return station is on this property approximately feet from where the customer parked. The customer never called to inquire where the return station was. Two days later the customer proceeded to park in a space designed for resident parking that required a valid parking permitThe customer was found parked in this area with a fraudulent parking permit and the Barnacle in the back seat of the car. The customer paid again for the removal of the device followed by a phone call asking where to return it. The return of the deposit money is not granted as the customer kept this device for days keeping our company from utilizing

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:First and foremost if you weren’t so rude and hateful by hanging up on people they wouldn’t have to call back to get an issue resolved. That is a poor way of doing business. I understand you were the complaint contact person for a previous company at this same address called [redacted] that was owned by Don H[redacted], so one would think that since that company is no longer in business you might have learned by the mistakes that company did. Revdex.com has complaints against this company for all to read.  The complaint I submitted states he admits he was in the wrong. That’s not the whole issue and concern behind this complaint. It’s the way your company and employees do business, it’s the way you talk to and treat the public and it’s the allegations, accusations and attempted fraud you tried to commit for this incident. It’s the fact that you refused to give back the $200.00 deposit, because you made the accusation he never returned it when he in fact did within a few hours and you made the accusation that he threw it in a creek. I find it interesting that you don’t address what I requested in the complaint.  I want the complete GPS tracking report for the dates in question. The barnacle company said that was something you could provide. Why are you refusing to give it to us? You personally told me as well as the apartment complex manager and two other witnesses that the barnacle unit was never returned, which in fact it was within a few hours in the barnacle box he was instructed to leave it in. The picture of that box was attached with the initial complaint.  The apartment complex manager even stated that something was not adding up. She never sided with you about the fact that the unit was not dropped off. In my opinion you were trying to defraud us for a deposit that we were entitled to. You also didn’t address the fact that you personally made the accusation to me that he threw the barnacle unit in a creek, because there are creeks by that apartment complex. Who makes that kind of statement?  Is this something you have done in the past so you can collect the insurance on it or not give others back their deposit refund?  Here’s the biggie the public needs to read:  You also didn’t address the fact that had we NOT called the barnacle company requesting the GPS tracking report for the dates in question, which they advised we request from you, we would have never received the $200.00 deposit back for returning the unit we were entitled to. You tried to rip us off for the deposit and defraud us. To date you have refused to provide the GPS tracking report to me. I am still requesting that information so I can provide it to Colorado Attorney General Office as well as the Colorado Public Utilities Commission.Your policies, procedures, honesty and ethics of running this business are on the sketchy borderline of attempted fraud in my case. You state you can do what you want to people and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Well it looks like complaints are already starting to roll in about the way you run this business and the way you treat people, so let’s let the public continue reporting you to the Revdex.com, as well as the Attorney General Office and Colorado Public Utilities Commission. Let’s let these complaints speak for themselves so these agencies can be the judge as to if you are legally running this business and whether you are defrauding the public.

If I could please get a  Date, location in which the vehicle was parked when the Barnacle was deployed, and license plate number of the vehicle which was deployed upon. The automated phone system clearly explains that a $250.00 deposit is help to ensure the prompt and safe return of...

the device.  The customer has a chance to talk with a live person at the time on the phone to find out where to return the device.  I will need the above information to investigate this further.

Please find attached photo of where you were parked.  it is clearly a driveway and not a designated...

spot.  Also attached is the credit card receipt showing you have only been charged the $100 fee.  If you have proof of a $300.00 I would love to see it so we can compare where the disconnect is.

This dispute must have fallen through the cracks.  Here is my response. As I has explained to the customer on every one of the 25 phone calls that were places to my phone over a period of 2 days.  I explained that the process is in place to enforce the rules.   The mail boxes are across the parking lot from where your son was parked.  He was parked in a Handicap Space, where directly next to where your son parked was several available parking spaces.  He chose to use the Handicap spot instead,  he does not have a valid handicap placard therefore a Barnacle was placed on the windshield.  A lengthy email is not necessary as this has been explained to you and your son by myself and the Community Manager of the Complex.  Your son violated state law and received a Barnacle with a release of $100 instead of a very expensive tow and trip to Commerce City to pick up his vehicle from the impound facility, this would have cost $321.60.  We wish you the best but a refund cannot be refunded as your son violated the law and community rules.

In order to property reply to this complain I will need more information.Make, Model, Plate and last 6 of VIN.Last 4 of Credit Card. When and where was the Barnacle returned Upon receiving this information I will be able to properly respond.

In order to do a complete investigation we will need your vehicle description and the last 4 of your credit card. Thank you for assisting us with the information so we can assist you.
