June 26, Response to ID # [redacted] Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaintWe are a PennDOT Third Party Certified Testing SitePlease see the picture #1- it is a copy of our license to testI have also attached picture #with a copy of the three State Certified Examiners that are posted on our wall.PennDOT allows us to offer test two days in advance vsthe average six week wait the State DMV sites may haveHowever, the two days are business days and they don't allow us to include weekendsThe complainant came into our office on the 12th of June to book a driving test for her sonHe failed his test on the 9th of June at the state DMV and he is years oldDue to his age and already failing his test he has to wait one weekThe earliest he was legally allowed to test is the 16th of JuneI am not sure why they did not schedule for the 16th but we did schedule him for the following Monday the 19th of JuneShe stated the problem occurred on the 18th when it occurred on the 19th.I would like to address the complaints separatelyAppointment in one week - This person's son that was signing up to take their driving test with us just failed at the PennDOT DMV SiteUnder the PA Law all individuals under MUST wait one week to retestHer son was under We are a PennDOT certified site and all routes have been approved by PennDOTI have attached pictures of the intersection where her son failed the testPlease see below for a description:AThis is a picture of the road where the stop line is clearly visibleUnder the PennDOT testing rules you must stop behind the stop line when the light is red.BAs I was standing there waiting to take a picture this vehicle pulled and obviously stopped as required.CAgain, the next red light, the first car stopped behind the white line as requiredNo problem seeing the white line.DThis is a vehicle I stagedThis is where her son stopped in the intersectionHe was so far past the stop line he could no longer see the traffic signal as it was above the vehicle.EThis corner is also marked with a "No Turn On Red" sign and he was looking down the road to the left trying to make a right on redToo much traffic so he was unableThe complainant expressed how unhappy she was when her son failedWe don't write the rules but we do follow the PennDOT testing rulesShe asked that the President of the Company call herShe also came back the next day requesting to talk to the President of the Company who was not inI, the President of the Company, returned her call within hours and she was unhappy with that as wellShe felt I took too long to call her back.When I did talk to her she disagreed with the white line rule PennDOT has and said you can't even see itThe pictures prove you can see it and I apologized she was unhappy but honestly even if you couldn’t see the white line her son stopping UNDER the traffic light is a driving problem for him.I offered to give her PennDOT's phone number and she said she already called them and there was nothing they could do.I think she is missing the bigger picture here and that would be her son driving safelyWe feel bad anytime a student doesn't pass but we don't fait them, the students not following the rules of the road fail him.I have also included a page from our web site, www[redacted] , it has our prices listed, it states right on there it is $for the test and $for a retestThe fees are not hiddenPicture #3We are not offering a refund as we provided the services she paid forIt is unfortunate her son did not pass his driving test.Please don't hesitate to contact us with any additional questions or if I can be of any further assistanceSincerely,Transportation SolutionsBrenda [redacted] B [redacted] , CDt, CDRS PresidentAttachements:

Examiners that are posted on our wall.PennDOT allows us to offer test two days in advance vs. the average six week wait the State DMV sites may have. However, the two days are business days and they don't allow us to include weekends. The complainant came into our office on the 12th of June to book a driving test for her son. He failed his test on the 9th of June at the state DMV and he is 17 years old. Due to his age and already failing his test he has to wait one week. The earliest he was legally allowed to test is the 16th of June. I am not sure why they did not schedule for the 16th but we did schedule him for the following Monday the 19th of June. She stated the problem occurred on the 18th when it occurred on the 19th.I would like to address the complaints separately.1. Under the PA Law all individuals under 18 MUST wait one week to retest. Her son was under 18.2. We are a PennDOT certified site and all routes have been approved by PennDOT. I have attached 5 pictures of the intersection where her son failed the test. Please see below for a description:A. This is a picture of the road where the stop line is clearly visible. Under the PennDOT testing rules you must stop behind the stop line when the light is red.B. As I was standing there waiting to take a picture this vehicle pulled and obviously stopped as required.C. Again, the next red light, the first car stopped behind the white line as required. No problem seeing the white line.D. This is a vehicle I staged. This is where her son stopped in the intersection. He was so far past the stop line he could no longer see the traffic signal as it was above the vehicle.E. I, the President of the Company, returned her call within 24 hours and she was unhappy with that as well. She felt I took too long to call her back.When I did talk to her she disagreed with the white line rule PennDOT has and said you can't even see it.
