having with your manufacturer's [redacted], hot water heater. As you stated, in your complaint [redacted] from [redacted] informed you that your hot water heater was not covered under warranty. We informed you that [redacted] provided us with the same information and we advised you prior to sending the plumber, and that you would be responsible for the labor. [redacted] would pay for your parts if any were needed. You agreed to sending out the plumber, and we informed you all payments are due upon completion of the job. We also stated what our service charge and our labor charges, upon your request. Our plumber, did come and complete the job, and he did not request the payment at that time. Not because of what you believed it was free or under warranty, but because he was under the impression that it was covered by another hot water heater company, in which the customers do not pay anything. However, immediately after we discovered he did not collect from you we tried calling you and you never answered and/or returned any of our phone calls. At that point, we called Mr. [redacted], and he would state he was not aware of anything and he would have to speak with you. This went on for several days and/or weeks of follow ups because we were not getting any response from you. We never received questions or concerns about the amount charged, but it was always about  the warranty. We mailed you a bill at your husbands requests, and several days later you came into our office to pay the bill.We apologized for our plumber not collecting the payment when he completed, which made the transaction confusing. We are pleased to know that you do have hot water and your hot water heater is working properly. We believe the concerns you have about having to pay and the malfunction of a relatively new hot water heater, should be addressed with manufacturer, and not Roy's Plumbing, Inc. Sincerely,Roy's Plumbing, Inc

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] No I have not heard from Roy's Plumbing and secondly, I am not satisfied with the company's efforts to resolve the matter. Explanation: The company states that the service fee would be charged regardless as to whether or not the job had been completed. This is not true nor was it agreed on. The agreement was that the service charge would be included in the completion of the repair, if I agreed to having them do the work, which I did. I have used Roy Plumbing in the past and know that this is their policy. The plumber walked off the job that had been approved for completion. Roy Plumbing is trying to collect on a contract that they defaulted on. This is why they are not entitled to the $50 fee.  If further proof is needed, my tenant can attest that my statement is true.   [redacted]

[redacted] [redacted] First of all, they DID hang up on me, of course they deny it, it makes them look bad. They still didn't address the the fact that the plumber had to leave my property to get parts without telling me that. Had I known he was going to leave for an hour, I would have had him put it back together with the old parts. It was not a job I was willing to pay $475 for. They didn't give me an estimate until I asked for it, over an hour into the job. I am the one that checked up on him, wondering where he was for the past hour. At no point before I checked up on him did anyone tell me it was extra expensive or time-consuming. As far as the rescheduling goes, if they had told me there was a death, I would not have minded a delay. They simply told me "They weren't going to make it today" twice. I stand by my complaint; in the very least they were repeatedly unprofessional.
