Review: I have been trying for over a month to get in Contact with Ron S[redacted] the owner of tri-state public adjusters, I have sent hi 11 text messages numerous phone calls , he tells me he will call me back but never does never .

He was to show me papers on lost from a fire I never seen them or did he go over then with me . I know he is doing very bad practice. I am not a happy customer. I just want to be treated fair and I know and feel I made a bad mistake

unless he changes his ways , I do not have much I need everything I can just like everyone else.

My insurance gave me a 10 , 000 advanced with that they took out 35000 for the hotel that we have to live in .

I think that's illegal if anyone knows let me know , it has to be some sort of fraudDesired Settlement: To speak with me on a regular basis, to explain what he expects to get from the insurance company. To return the money he took from my first advance from my insurance company to live on while in the hotel .

I only want to be fair , that's all I want and don't try and screw me .

I have to do this because he will not return my calls very bad business

November 13, 2014DATE OF LOSS 9/30/14 - FireIn regards to the complaint ID of [redacted], we will try to answer as best as possible. Also we have spoken to [redacted] today and also explained how this works. It seems that the main complaint [redacted] has is that he received an advance, for his living arrangements and we took out 3500.00 out of a 10,000.00 check. From the day of the fire our company has put [redacted] in a hotel which is being billed on our credit card, Even with the 3500.00 that we put towards his hotel invoice, we at this moment have a balance of almost 4,000. 00 and that amount will continue to grow. Before anything was done with that advance our office spoke to [redacted] and both our office and [redacted] came to an agreement that we were going to take out a portion towards his hotel invoice and [redacted] was going to receive the rest. Even though normally that advance is supposed to go to his living arrangements since his insurance was not going to take over his hotel. Also we have supplied [redacted] with our estimates, the insurance companies estimates and any thing else that was requested. At this time we are waiting for the adjuster to get the final authorization for the numbers, I have enclosed the copies of the invoice from the hotel for your file. Please do not hestiate to call us if you have any additional question. Very truly yours,Ron S[redacted] Public Adjuster

Anthony and the TriState team did a fantastic job I will definetky be recommending them to my friends as I already have... I'm very pleased with Tri States service, great job !!!

Review: On June 30,2014 I had a fire at one of my properties located at [redacted] Pa. [redacted]. I do not live at this address, but other family members do. Someone had unknowingly left a pan on the kitchen stove, and left the house without turning the pan off. The pan caught fire, and the fire department was called by another member of the family, who came home later. The fire was contained to the kitchen stove; cabinet & ceiling above the stove. The front door had damage, due to the fireman gaining entrance. The walls in the kitchen and the dining room had light smoke damage. No windows were broken out, and there was no structural damage. The fire really was not that bad.

When the fire department left, a public adjuster RON S[redacted], representing (Tri-State Public Adjusters) offered his assistance to me with dealing with my insurance company. I asked him what the fee would be and was told 15%. He told me he would send some people around to clean and wash the walls, and I told him that wouldn't be necessary because my family would do the cleaning. It wasn't that much to do, and I wanted to give the teenagers in the home something to do in-order for them to make a little money. All other damage was going to be fixed by myself and friends who are in the building business.

I continued to take a trip to Washington DC which I had planed to do before the fire ,to visit a sick friend of mine. When I returned, my family in the house tells me that Ron S[redacted] had sent other people to clean the house, and had received permission from me, to do so, which was not true. My family could not verify that I gave Ron S[redacted] permission because I was out-of-town.

According to my family members, 3 people (1 male and 2 Women ) worked in the house cleaning 3hrs the first day and the second day (2 women)came and worked about 2hrs more, and left. Four or five fans was also brought in and left for 2days. For that non-permissible service, I was scammed $4420.00. If that wasn't enough I was scammed out of $1975.00 for some other made-up charge, he then adds HIS fee $2073.28 for a total of $8468.28 UNBELIEVABLE Ron S[redacted] has jut scammed me out of almost Half of my check 42%, when he was to receive only 15%. This type of thievery must stop. I now don't have enough money to pay and have the fire damage fixed. Ron S[redacted] did not even let me sign the original check from the insurance company even though the original check requires me to see and sign it with him. I intend to check with my insurance company concerning the amount of the check.

I wrote the complaint in short form, I have much more to say.

If this complaint isn't settled with your office, my next step is the District Attorney's Office, and Small Claims Court.

Sincerely

,Desired Settlement: I would like you to take these made-up charges off this invoice, other than your fee and send me the rest of my money.

Review: I have engaged Tri State Public Adjusters to assist with an insurance claim with [redacted] for an incident that occurred on November 8, 2013. On December 2, 2013 [redacted] sent an initial settlement check made payable to both Tri State and myself directly to Tri State. Tri State has not sent me my portion of the settlement that should be in the amount of $2,211.99. In addition, Tri State negotiated an additional payment from [redacted] in the amount of $500 which has not been paid yet.

I have attempted to contact Tri State several times and demanded payment to no avail. In addition, Tri State has not followed up on the additional $500 payment from [redacted] as I have requested several times as well.Desired Settlement: I would like immediate payment of $2,211.99, which is my portion of the initial settlement with [redacted]. The total that [redacted] has sent so far is $2,949.32. In addition, Tristate needs to send me the additional $500 that was negotiated with [redacted]. I do not feel that they are due the 20% commission due to their borderline illegal business practices.

Review: We called Tri state public adjuster after hail storm on thursday 5-22-2014. We have roof and 3 vehicles are damaged by hail storm. We were told by [redacted] that we have 3 calender days to cancel and when we called to cancel we were given a long talk of how we are making the wrong decision and we tried explaining to the guy [redacted] that we have heard absolutely nothing from tri state in 3 days and would like to cancel. We have no cancellation form because they kept page 2 of 3 pages that [redacted] had given us on Thursday when he came out to the house. [redacted] hung up on us.Desired Settlement: We just want to cancel agreement. We are on the 3rd calendar day that they said we can cancel.

May 29, 2014To [redacted]In response to the complaint, [redacted] from the above, we really are at a loss to explain how much more we could have done. [redacted] signed with us late on May 22, 2014, only for home claim we do not deal with vehicles which he was told. The claim was processed on May 23, 2014 which was a Friday. As [redacted] states in his complaint he spoke to [redacted] on Sunday and than filed a complaint with you. Being that Memorial Day was Monday the office was closed. We withdrew from this on Tueday when the office reopened. I have enclosed a copy of letter and fax confirmation for you.Again, I really don't know what we could have done different.Very truly yours,

Review: [redacted] PUBLIC ADJUSTERS CAME TO MY HOUSE AFTER A HOUSE FIRE NEXT DOOR AND I HAD DAMAGE TO MY HOUSE. I DON'T SPEAK GOOD ENGLISH AND THERE WAS A LANGUAGE ISSUE. I DID NOT KNOW EVERYTHING I WAS SIGNING AND THIS COMPANY MADE THE TERMS OF THE CONTRACT APPEAR DIFFERENT. THEY BROUGHT IN/RECOMMENDED THEIR OWN CONTRACTORS TO DO WORK ON MY HOME, THEY STARTED AND LEFT MY HOME A MESS AND DIDN'T RETURN THE NEXT DAY, THERE WAS TRASH ALL OVER MY FRONT PORCH, WHEN I APPROACHED THE PUBLIC ADJUSTER ABOUT IT, HE TOLD ME TO GET IN CONTACT DIRECTLY WITH THE CONTRACTOR TO NO AVAIL.

I NEVER SIGNED A CONTRACT FOR MY DRYCLEANING SERVICES BUT THE CONTRACTOR BAGGED MY CLOTHES UP AND THREW THEM IN THE BACK OF HIS VAN.

MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS WERE SUPPOSE TO BE CLEANED, PACKED UP AND STORED AWAY BEFORE DEMOLISH BEGAN BUT IT WASN'T ALL MY STUFF WAS THROWN IN ONE ROOM ON TOP OF EACH OTHER AND DIRTY, THE DUST FROM THE WORK WAS ALL OVER MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS.

MY INSURANCE COMPANY MAILED EMERGENCY FUNDING TO THE PUBLIC ADJUSTER FOR ME TO USE PERSONALLY AND THE PUBLIC ADJUSTER SAID HE WAS GOING TO SEND THE MONEY WITH THE CONTRACTOR, THE CONTRACTOR SHOWED UP EMPTY HANDED. WHEN I CALLED THE PUBLIC ADJUSTER, HE SAID HE FORGOT AND HE WAS GOING TO OVERNIGHT ME THE CHECK. THE NEXT DAY, NO CHECK.

I ADVISED THE PUBLIC ADJUSTER THAT I DIDN'T WANT HIS SERVICES ANYMORE AND I WANTED TO CANCEL THE CONTRACT, HIS RESPONSE WAS THAT 3 DAYS HAVE ALREADY PASSED AND I'M LOCKED IN FOR GOOD. HE SAID HIS COMPANY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG AND MY ISSUE WAS WITH THE CONTRACTOR, NOT THE CASE! HE REFERED THE CONTRACTOR BUT DIDN'T WANT TO BACK UP HIS WORK, ALWAYS WANTED TO PASS THE BUCK. I HAVE YET TO RECIEVE MY EMERGENCY FUNDING, I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT IT WAS SENT OVERNIGHT YET AGAIN.

I TOLD THE PUBLIC ADJUSTOR I WOULD AGREE TO PAY THE CONTRACTOR FOR WORK COMPLETED SO FAR PLUS HIS FEE (WHICH IS 10%) AND THEN I WANTED OUT OF THE CONTRACT, HE CONTINUES TO RESPOND SAYING THERE IS NO OPTION BUT TO STAY. IT'S HORRIBLE THIS BUSINESS TREATS A RECENT FIRE VICTIM LIKE THIS, THEY SHOW UP AT YOUR DOOR STEP THE DAY OF THE DISASTER ACTING LIKE THEY'RE A KNIGHT IN SHINNING ARMOR AND THEY'RE NOTHING BUT TROUBLE, AVOID A PUBLIC ADJUST WHENEVER POSSIBLE. HIRE A GOOD RELIABLE, RESPECTABLE CONTRACTOR AND LET THEM WORK ON YOUR BEHALF.Desired Settlement: I WANT THEM TO AGREE TO CANCEL THE CONTRACT FOR VARIOUS REASONS, SUBMIT A BILL TO ME FOR HOW MUCH I OWE THEM AND NEVER CONTACT ME OR MY INSURANCE COMPANY AGAIN.

July 15, 2014[redacted],Please excuse the delay in getting this letter back to you. We have been working with the insured and from my understanding have come to an agreement with them. This should be resolved within two weeks. Please do not hestiate to call us with any questions.Very truly yours,

Review: January 2013 I obtained Tri-State Public Adjusters, Inc., which was referred to me by [redacted] Roofing and Siding, to assist in the appeals process on the decision that my homeowners insurance made in regards to the repair of my home.

Their employee, first name [redacted], last name I do not have, took 2 unsigned checks that was sent to me by my insurance company, totaling $2087.00, and was to proceed to move forward in the appeals process. It was after that, I had not heard from [redacted]. I called Tri-State Public Adjusters a few months later and found out that [redacted] no longer worked for Tri-State. I inquired about what happened to the checks that he took and the receptionist informed me that she would look into it and get back to me.

Now, current day, I called my insurance agent to see if the checks were still outstanding. I found out at that point, both checks had been cashed. I called Tri-State Public Adjusters and spoke to the owner, **. [redacted]., who informed me that [redacted] never worked for his company yet I was told, a few months back, that he did work for the company at the time, but was no longer there. **. [redacted] stated that in fact, [redacted] worked for [redacted] Roofing and Siding and that I needed to go to them in regards to the checks. He informed me that he had nothing to do with it. He then proceeds to tell me that he denied moving forward with my claim and shredded the paperwork once the decision was made.

I contacted my home insurance company and obtained all the copies of the paperwork that was submitted to them by Tri-State Public Adjusters and learned that they in fact did not deny moving forward with my claim. They submitted a letter stating that they were representing me and wanted to move forward with the appeal. What I did find in my file, which should not have been a part of my file, is that Tri-State submitted a letter of withdrawal of their services for another client with a totally different policy, to my insurance company.

Once I received the paperwork from my insurance company, I saw the copy of the checks. They had been signed by their employee and cashed at a check cashing facility, called [redacted] Check Cashing a couple of days after the paperwork was completed back in January 2013, but no service were ever rendered on my behalf, nor should those checks been cashed to begin with.

I was horrified with how the owner was treating me. Telling me that it wasn’t his problem. [redacted] did not work for his company, but for the roofing company and he even told me to contact my insurance company and have them cancel the checks. It was then that I told him that [redacted] came to my home with Tri-State paperwork and the owners name written all over it, representing his company in my appeals process. So the problem lies with Tri-State. I told him that I can’t have the insurance company cancel the checks because they have already been cashed and that his company was to be held liable for that. The checks were in both my name and my ex-husbands name and should not have been cashed to begin with, without our signatures as well as proof of ID shown to the clerk to verify legitimacy.

Here I am battling Breast Cancer and Leukemia, trying to maintain my home and a company comes in leading me to believe that they were here to help me, only find out that they were here only to help the**elves to innocent bystanders’ money. They took advantage of me and who knows who else.

This company needs to be investigated on their business practice. Are they filing clai** correctly according to the guidelines that are set in place for Adjusters? Are they stealing money from not only homeowners, but the insurance companies? Double dipping? Are they following the proper policy and procedures and business protocols when it comes to handling insurance clai**. Why would they shred paperwork for a client that they are supposed to be representing? Aren't they supposed to hold on to the paperwork just in case they need to refer back to it for any reason, regardless if they took the case or not? Why would they cash checks from their clients without their signature, at a check cashing store? Aren't they supposed to hold the checks until a final decision is made by the insurance company and then discuss with their customer/client on how they will move forward, monetary wise? And wouldn’t the checks then be deposited into a business account.

This is horrible that a business is allowed to work like that and I am asking that they be audited and investigated on their business practice to avoid innocent people and other businesses to be scammed like this.Desired Settlement: I'm looking for the business to be held responsible for their business practice as a whole. From the moment they meet the client, take the claim and process it through. Just like with any other insurance company, be it auto, home, or medical insurance, there are guidelines that a business is supposed to uphold and follow and I feel that was not done with Tri-State Public Adjusters, Inc.

I feel they need to penalized and placed on some type of audit plan, for example, 3 years, they have to provide all the proper paperwork need to file a proper appeal to the insurance company, how they are to handle any insurance checks that was given to them by their client/customer. It see** to me that the owner needs to take most of the responsibility in how his business is being ran. I feel that he needs additional training on how to manage his business, customer service (on how to deal with a client when they are faced with something that was not done correctly, opposed to pushing it off on some-one else). He needs to take ownership and accountability, which has not been done at all.

I'm all about improving a business, not closing them down and I feel that his company is in serious need of re-education and training for better management and understanding of the policy that they are to follow.

**. [redacted],

In regards to the complaint ID [redacted] we will try to explain as best as possible,

**. [redacted] is correct that we were refer to her by [redacted]. We were out there to see if we could help her with her claim that she had with [redacted]. **. [redacted] had received an offer and drafts from [redacted] before we were involved in her claim. Trl-state's name was not on checks nor did we have anything to do with cashing them, **. [redacted], from our understanding, had spoken to **. [redacted] about doing the work for her, **. [redacted], not Tri-State, again from our understanding from **. [redacted], received her checks. After reviewing her claim we unfortunately decided that we could not be of assistance and let [redacted] no that.

At no point in time did Tri-State receive anything fees from **. [redacted], nor did we tell her that **. [redacted] worked for us. **. [redacted] only refer clients to us . We had no knowledge that **. [redacted] had even came into agreement with [redacted] until **. [redacted] told us,

We spoke to **, [redacted] and explained our position as best as we could. We will try to help **. [redacted] anyway we can or answer any other questions that might arise,
