Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The vehicle was brought in ONLY for the repair of surface scratches and nibs on the paintThe work order my fiancée signed DID NOT have instructions to install the XYLON onto the vehicle as I had specifically spoke with the Body Shop Manager, [redacted] , and told him that I DID NOT want the XYLON installed until after I was satisfied with the repairs of the surface scratches and nibs on the paint of the vehicleWe had a lengthy conversation about the paint issues and how I wanted it repairedHe assured me that nothing else would be done except the repair of one of the nibs, which would be done with a small sanding machine that was a size of a dime and the buffing of the surface scratchesOnce one of the nibs was repaired, I was supposed to have inspected it to see if I wanted them to repair the rest of the nibs I found on the paint in the same mannerWhen we went to pick up the vehicle, which they held for almost a week, the body shop service person (I do not recall his name, but his desk is the first desk on the left when entering the body shop office and he drives a motorcycle) was not able to explain to us what work was finished on the vehicle because when I pointed out that it looked like nothing was done he said that he could not explain because he did not knowHe could not find the work order and Mr [redacted] was not in the office to assist us I do not know what work order they are looking at or claim to have because there was never an appointment sto install the XYLON Regards, [redacted] ***

Customer [redacted] did bring her vehicle in on 1/22/for a Manufacturers Recall on her Saturn VueThis recall included the replacement of the ignition lock cylinder and keysWhich was the only repairs performed on vehicle at that time [redacted] returned on 2/26/with a concern that horn goes on and off on its own with horn relay in placeWe did agree to look at vehicle at no charge After inspection of vehicle we determined that the cause of failure was the horn contact in the Air Bag assemblyThis failure was unrelated and not caused by the replacement of ignition lock cylinderElectrically and physically these two components are not related (Air bag assembly not removed during repairs.) There was also no damage externally to Air Bag assembly that would have caused failure Determination was that failure of Air Bag assembly was not in any way caused by Ron Baker Chevrolet [redacted] Service ManagerRon Baker Chevrolet [redacted] Email: [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Look I understand all that but I never went into that body shop to ask for his personal opinion at all, of course my car is going to have miles it is a and thanks to his "personal opinion" comment the insurance company paying to get my car fixed used that as a crutch and reason to conveniently not fix thatI honestly don't care if one of your technicians inspected my car nobody asked you to and it is your job to do so, so please do not try to make it seem like you're doing me a favor and "its all about the customer" because its not for you its all about the money and [redacted] made it very clear on that on the 27th when he called and told me to pick up my carI asked why hadn't he given me any updates at all about repairs when he had clearly given me paperwork stating it would only take about days to complete, his answer was "oh we were waiting for a check from the insurance it arrived today so we processed it and you can take the car now" Yeah thanks a lot for caring about the customerHonestly the only reason I took the car there was because at that specific time I was literally in the area, next time I would rather pick [redacted] Chevrolet or any other body shop around the corner as a matter of fact, not only do they give you more respect than this place with better ratings and reputable work too] Regards, [redacted]

Ms [redacted] purchased a Chevrolet Equinox on May 1, Ms [redacted] purchased this vehicle with a day option contract seeking her own financial banks funding, Navy Federal Credit UnionMs [redacted] returned to the dealership only to notify us that she was declined by her own bank do to credit performance and other issues that are privateTherefore, the finance department at Ron Baker Chevrolet reached out to multiple financing institutions to secure financing as the original contract was written for Ms*'s purchaseThe financing that was secure and approved based on the original contract was also based on the current employment status and other current financial statuses that Ms [redacted] presented to the dealership on the credit application on May 1st, which she did SIGN a credit application for processingThe financial institution that approved the loan for Ms [redacted] conducted a final welcome call and financial verification process to Ms [redacted] only to discover that Ms*'s situation had changedOriginally, Ms [redacted] was employed with the US Navy, which Ron Baker Chevrolet has the up most respect and pride for being in a military town here in San Diego, however she informed the bank representative during this call that she "quit" to become a studentAt that time the bank would not provide financing to Ms [redacted] since she no longer had a secure source of income.Mr [redacted] , Ron Baker Chevrolet's Finance Director of years, contacted Ms [redacted] promptly upon notification of this news from the possible financing bank to come to the dealership to discuss this matter privatelyWhen Ms [redacted] arrived Mr [redacted] tried to consult Ms [redacted] of the financial situation and discuss possible solutions; co-signer, other income, or other bank options of her ownMs [redacted] denied all solutions explained that she was denied by all other banking opportunities and did not have a option for a co-signerAt this point there was no other option but for Ron Baker Chevrolet to resend the contract do to lack of financing optionsMs [redacted] left upset in the vehicle that would have been her trade in on the original contract but was returned to her (in the same condition) at the time we that we exhausted all financing opportunities aboveAbout an hour or so, Ms*'s and her "boyfriend" (in military uniform) came back to Ron Baker Chevrolet to discuss matters further with Mr [redacted] Immediately MsC's boyfriend became very aggressive and confrontational using profanity next to our customer lounge and children's play area causing a complete disturbance of the areaMr [redacted] asked both Ms [redacted] and her boyfriend multiple times to refrain from using aggressive behavior and profanity however he did not do soAt that point Mr [redacted] asked them both to leave the premise Unfortunately Ron Baker Chevrolet could not obtain financing for Ms [redacted] at this time but hopes possibly obtain her business and secure her as a customer in the future under different financial circumstancesAgain, Ron Baker Chevrolet goes above and beyond to facilitate and maintain customers, especially the military and their familiesThat is why we pride ourselves in our new tag line, "Come Join the Family!"Sincerely, [redacted] President

We did exactly as we told the prospective customerTheir license and registration was mailed to their addressWe unfortunately have no control over the [redacted] and their systemWe have had a few items take much longer than it should have due to problems at the post officeWe mailed their items to them as we said we wouldHopefully they will show up in their mailbox.I do not feel that we are responsible for the replacement items they ordered

Ron Baker Chevrolet understands the customers frustration and concern in the length of time the repair took Under no circumstances do we ever intend to have a repair go this way For reasons beyond our control the length of repairs was due to the availability of parts for the customers year make and model of vehicle The Insurance Company wrote the estimate and instructed the repair facility on how they wanted to repair and pay for the repairs Ron Baker Chevrolet performed the repairs per the customers Insurance Company The vehicle did not have to stay in the shop for the entire duration but the customer chose to leave it The final seat trim cover is in the shops possession and we have left messages for the customer to retrieve the piece

WE contacted the customer and they came into our dealership on Saturday April 1stWe unwound the deal on the truck that they purchased and sold them a crew cab truck on the same dayAs far as I know they are happy nowIt was a pleasure handling the complaint and making sure they were satisfied customers of Ron Baker Chevrolet.Tell us why here

The car buying experience at the dealership has been excellent. The car itself has been excellent with no problems. If reference to the above complaint:The service contract and the Gap have been cancelled with the providers and the refunds will be comingAs the customer stated, *** at RonBaker Chevrolet told them it takes to weeksIt has only been weeks so they will be arrivingWe are at the mercy of
the GAP and service contract companiesWe are not the company holding the poilcy.As for the XLILON, it was installed on the customers vehicle on repair order #*** dated 12-26-We did other work to the purchased vehicle at the same time so we provided the customer with a rental car at no chargeSo to sum up the consumer complaint, the GAP and service contract refunds are being processed by the respective companies and as soon as we get them we will send the customer a checkThe XZILON was installed per the customers rerquest.Thank you

On Dec27, *** called *** *** to inform her that the vehicle was ready for pickup. At this time A*** asked *** if the alignment was checked. *** in in professional opinion said that the damages and area of impact did not warrant an alignment. A*** then
informed *** that someone from the Insco said its going to be needing an alignment. *** then explained that it was not on the original or supplement estimate and to call the Insurance person that said this and have them call us with an approval. On Dec28, *** received a phone call from the appraiser of the Inscoasking *** to road test for the alignment and to let him know. *** road tested the vehicle and called the Insappraiser and informed him that the vehicle had a right pull at freeway speeds. The appraiser asked *** to send in a supplement request so that the InsCocan review for approval. *** at no charge to the customer had the vehicle inspected by a front end technician( see attachment) Shop found wearing of the tie rods and ball joints due to wear and tear according mileage and year of vehicle. On Dec29, 2016 a different representative of the Ins Cocame to the shop to inspect the vehicle's front suspension and at that time he denied approval for the alignment. This representative said he would inform A***. The vehicle was picked up on Monday 1/2/

[Thank you for your response, however, if Ron Baker Chevrolet is not responsible for the length of time of repairs and subpar workmanship, who is responsible for the following:- 3/arrived to pick up the vehicle, however the 3rd row seats were unable to be removed due to a malfunctioning latching mechanism in the replacement seatsIn addition, the "new seats" had broken plastic seat panels and mix matched upholstery(attached photo)-4/arrived to pick up the 3rd row seats again, however, they had broken plastic seat panels and un matching upholstery(attached photo)-5/arrived to pick up the 3rd row seats, however, there were additional broken plastic seat panels (attached photos)If Ron Baker is not to blame then who is? Frankly, your lack of accountability and blame shifting is unacceptable! ]

[ If from May 1, I was approved under my conditions with a day option contract and I choose to take that one not due to being declined by Navy Federal, but to take the better option, then why did this bank contact me for more information weeks afterAfter telling the dealership that I was receiving an HONORABLE discharge on 14May2015, they still applied to to a bank that they knew I didn't fit the criteria forTo say a service member quit is disrespectful, the way my boyfriend was treated in uniform after asking questions and Bill became upset was disrespectfulThey wanted me to lie to the bank, they didn't uphold an honest and upfront car sellsI as the customer told them my situation, they lied, disrepected my family and humiliated me in front of employees and customersMy month old son cried and was sick while I by myself transferred things to my car because they did not tell me during the phone call before I arrived the situationI want this matter handle before I take farther action with the military side]
