Trucks Only Sales Reviews (49)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I signed the paperwork on 2/28 but did not receive the truck until 3/7 due to repairs required.  I have text correspondence from Trucks Only employee [redacted] where he used the term ‘bulletproof’. I also have text correspondence with [redacted] regarding the ‘bulletproof’ statement being false. I declined the warranty because I feel it is another scam by dealers to get more money.  In my opinion, Trucks only does not check out their vehicles before selling them or the warranty would be more than 15 days.  I bought into everything Trucks Only employee [redacted] told me.  I  thought he was a standup guy and that Trucks only was a good dealer that would take care of their customers .  At no time was I loud with anyone at Trucks Only.  In fact, the majority of my correspondence was done by text.  I have proof of all of my complaints by text in writing by [redacted] my salesman who works for Trucks Only on my phone dated and time stamped. I also have pictures sent to me by [redacted] of a part that would be changed during the ‘bulletproofing’ process.  I was assured over and over that I was buying and very strong truck.  This was 1 of several items I had asked to be fixed off of an estimate from a 4x4 shop early on. I gave a copy to [redacted] in Trucks Only’s service department and asked for those items to be repaired.  Trucks only gave me a receipt stating the hub was changed (I also have a copy) of both the estimate from other shop and trucks only.  The hub is one of several items that they claimed to have fixed but did not.  I have at no time ever threatened or bullied anyone at Trucks Only. I believe this is their way of trying to discredit me. I never raised my voice at any time.  Again, most of my conversation had been via text so I would have a written record. Trucks Only has no way to test the 4 wheel drive at their location.  I have never taken the vehicle off road because the 4 wheel driver hasn’t worked from the start.  I did not test until I was on my ranch and needed it for work and yes it was months after my purchase.  As screen shots of my text messages will show, I was calm and polite (saying please and thank you) when I brought it to their attention.  Again, I have never threatened or bullied anyone.  I just want Trucks Only to deliver a working vehicle as promised.   I did post reviews regarding my issues with my purchase on [redacted] and on review websites for the dealer.  I guess it’s the opinion of Trucks Only that dissatisfied customers shouldn’t be allowed to give reviews regarding the service they received. The requested repairs are the same repairs I have been asking to have fixed since I purchased the vehicle.  Their claim that it has been months later and all of a sudden I want them to fix my truck is ridiculous. The truck was used in my back yard, at the horse ranch I live on. Never once has my truck been off road for recreational 4 wheel driving as they claim. Again all I have proof by text with times and dates I am working with [redacted] to get a print off to show you. I also have attached a copy of the receipt from Trucks only and the estimate I gave them from the other shop of items that needed to be fixed. I also have photos of the hub Trucks Only claims to have changed. No way was this changed at all. It is all rusted and the bolts were hard to get off from rust. If the repairs where done this would not have happened. This axle broke during normal driving conditions.  Seems that the locker which is part of the hub was also broke and kept the driver side in 4wheel drive which, as you can see by the photos, did not have a good result. If Trucks Only did the repair and checked the 4wheel drive as stated on their receipt this would have never happened. My truck is used for pulling and not recreational 4 wheel driving.  The one thing I admit I should have done was demand to take the vehicle off road during the test drive.   I was told by [redacted] we could not do that.     I would like to add that they had covers over the lockers on the front axle and I was not told the truck had these. During the test drive when I thought I was testing the 4 wheel drive by the switch inside (only shifts the transfer case which was and is working fine)and  this switch does not lock in the hubs. [redacted] in the service department told me how it was supposed to work but it did not work.   It’s my opinion that the covers and failure to mention the lockers was another way for them to hide the fact the 4 wheel drive never worked. Coincidentally, I ran into a friend of the person that bought the truck before me  He took it back a week or later due to all the issues with the vehicle.  This further demonstrates that Trucks Only knew about these issues and did nothing to reconcile.   I am not asking for a new vehicle or anything more than what I paid top dollar for which is a working 4 wheel drive vehicle.Regards,[redacted]

[redacted]:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.this resolution is unacceptable due to the fact this was all discussed in Detail with [redacted] the sales rep. I was going to not purchase the vehicle when I was told that I needed to put 6,000 down. It was [redacted] who offered to split the deposit over 2 pay periods. We shook hands and we made an agreement that I would pay the 6,000 down split over 2 payments and the trade in and we had a deal.  [redacted] said my trade in would be paid in full and my MAX out of pocket was the 6,000 not one penny more.  It makes sense now why they rushed me through the signing did not want me to read any of it. It sure is a bait and switch and I do not accept this offer and I am considering legal action.

Regards,

In regards to the customer's desired settlement, I couldn't agree more. He certainly deserves to have a good conditioned, solid running truck. I am investigating the issue with our service department and will provide the customer with the follow up information once I have it. Thank you.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. On or about February 28th, 2014, [redacted] purchased a [redacted] from Trucks Only. I signed the paperwork on 2/28 but did not receive the truck until 3/7 due to repairs required.  At no time were any statements made about this vehicle being "bulletproofed," nor was anything put in writing that attested to that statement.  I have text correspondence from Trucks Only employee [redacted] where he used the term ‘bulletproof’.   In fact, at no time did [redacted] ever bring up this accusation about bulletproofing until his latest complaint with Trucks Only.  I also have text correspondence with [redacted] regarding the ‘bulletproof’ statement being false.  At the time [redacted] purchased the vehicle, the vehicle was sold "AS-IS" with the state Implied Warranty only. [redacted] signed the Implied Warranty statement saying the "seller hereby warrants that this vehicle will be fit for the ordinary purpose for which is used for 15 days or 500 miles after delivery, whichever comes first."  Additionally, [redacted] was offered an extended warranty which he signed off that he declined. (Proof of both items included with reply.)  I declined the warranty because I feel it is another scam by dealers to get more money.  In my opinion, Trucks only does not check out their vehicles before selling them or the warranty would be more than 15 days.  I bought into everything Trucks Only employee [redacted] told me.  I  thought he was a standup guy and that Trucks only was a good dealer that would take care of their customers .  After approximately 2400 miles were put on the vehicle Trucks Only made some repairs to [redacted]'s truck, largely due to his loud complaining and for customer goodwill. Later, approximately 6 months and nearly 5000 miles after purchase,  Trucks Only fixed a driver's side hub bearing on the vehicle. This was again due to [redacted]'s bullying and threatening ways. I have at no time ever threatened or bullied anyone at Trucks Only. I believe this is their way of trying to discredit me. I never raised my voice at any time.  Again, most of my conversation had been via text so I would have a written record.  At that time, the vehicle was operational and functional to the customer's satisfaction, otherwise I can assure you that [redacted] would not have accepted the vehicle. Now, 3 months later after the latest repair and 9 months after original delivery and purchase, [redacted] again wants Trucks Only to fix his vehicle. He again wants to use bullying and threatening tactics.  Again, I have never threatened or bullied anyone.  I just want Trucks Only to deliver a working vehicle as promised.  In which to accomplish this. Trucks Only adamantly refuses to adhere to these types of threats. [redacted] has already trashed Trucks Only and its employees with bad reviews, attacked other satisfied customers on social media and continues to make slanderous claims and accusations that are completely unfounded. Trucks Only is in fact examining our legal rights with counsel in regards to the slanderous statements made by [redacted].  I did post reviews regarding my issues with my purchase on [redacted] and on review websites for the dealer.  I guess it’s the opinion of Trucks Only that dissatisfied customers shouldn’t be allowed to give reviews regarding the service they received.  It is completely unreasonable and unrealistic to expect Trucks Only to continue to make repairs nearly a year after purchase  The requested repairs are the same repairs I have been asking to have fixed since I purchased the vehicle.  Their claim that it has been months later and all of a sudden I want them to fix my truck is ridiculous.  , particularly when the customer by his own admission is using the vehicle for off-road use The truck was used in my back yard, at the horse ranch I live on. Never once has my truck been off road for recreational 4 wheel driving as they claim.   where breakdowns and repairs are far more likely to occur. Again, this is WAY outside of the implied warranty period and the customer declined any type of extended warranty. Trucks Only adamantly refuses to make any further repairs to [redacted]'s vehicle and will take legal action should his slandering and bullying continue. Trucks Only has done nothing but tried to help [redacted] over and over again only to be repeatedly bullied and berated by him. As far as him never purchasing from Trucks Only again, I can assure you that the feeling is mutual and we will never wish to sell him a vehicle again. The contract has been canceled and there is no valid contract in place on this deal. All documents are kept as a record, but the contract is void. As far as a settlement is concerned, I would need to get a receipt of the money spent on the muffler. The customer was well aware that this deal was subject to getting the vehicle in the shop and checking for issues on the truck. It had higher mileage so certainly this was a possibility. I will offer to send $250 to resolve all matters, and not require any further documentation, but that will be the best, last and final offer.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted].  Receipt of a check in the amount of $149.81 would be a satisfactory resolution for me; however, I do dispute the business's recollection of what transpired.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

We have consulted with the manager from the [redacted] Road location. The customer had come in and discussed the matter with the manager. We had scheduled an appointment in our service department to address the concerns the customer had. The customer did not show for the appointment. Further, the manager made no less than ten follow up calls to determine why the customer had not shown for the service appointment, to no avail. Trucks Only had every intention to resolve the customer's concerns but we have been unable to make any contact with the customer. We will await further information. Thank you.

First, to address some of the comments stated by [redacted]:1. Trucks Only does not feel it is unrealistic for dissatisfied customers to review and voice their opinions. That is the point of review sites. However, we do take issue when the customer DIRECTLY responds to other customers' reviews that had an outstanding experience by saying negative things to them. This, in our opinion, IS using bullying tactics and involving customers that had nothing to do with [redacted]'s situation. That is flat out wrong.2. The customer that returned the vehicle prior to [redacted] did so because they were unable to secure the financing needed to buy the truck. It was not due to mechanical issues. Any accusation that the vehicle was sold knowing of pre-existing problems is completely false. If the problem was pre-existing, why was the issue not addressed until 2400 miles had been put on the vehicle? And if it wasn't fixed properly after that, why was it not brought back in until another 5000 miles were put on it? It's not like these issues came up one after the other immediately. Rather, months passed and thousands of miles were added to the vehicle. Remember, the implied warranty in the state of Arizona is 15 DAYS/500 MILES, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST.3. The fact that the customer declined an extended warranty "because it's just another way for the dealer to make money" is ridiculous. The extended warranty is offered so there is coverage to have repairs made when these types of situations occur. If the customer declines that extended coverage they should take full responsibility for all future repairs, instead of trying to get the dealer to fix their vehicle every time something needs repair.Obviously, both sides in this matter feel very strongly about their position. In the interest of trying to resolve this matter, Trucks Only will make a one-time, non-negotiable offer to at least try and meet the customer halfway in this situation. The customer stated the repair was about $1000. Trucks Only will offer to split the cost of that repair and send the customer a check in the amount of $500 and he can have it fixed at a shop of his choosing. This will release Trucks Only of any future obligation of this or any other repair based on the length of time the customer has owned the vehicle. In addition, [redacted] will refrain from posting additional negative reviews and cease contacting other satisfied customers on review sites. If this settlement offer is agreeable, we will need a current address and will send the check immediately. This shall conclude all future dealings with [redacted].

On or about July 13th , Mr [redacted] purchased a 2007 Chevy Silverado from Trucks Only. At the time of purchase, Mr. [redacted] was made aware that the vehicle had recently been traded in and would require shop checkout and maintenance. Upon receiving the vehicle in our shop it was determined that the...

vehicle had numerous existing problems as well as potential future concerns and issues as well. It was determined that it would be in both parties' interest to not sell this vehicle to Mr. [redacted]. It is never our intention to sell a "bad vehicle" to a customer. I do apologize about Mr. [redacted]'s lost time and would be willing to send him a check for $100 that should cover any fuel and other expenses that were incurred with traveling back and forth to Trucks Only during this process.

Review: On June 27, 2015 my fience and I purchased a 2008 Ford F-150 from Trucks Only in Mesa, AZ. Upon purchasing the vehicle we were notified that the vehicle would need a tune up and emission. Inturn we agreed to receive delivery of the truck on June 29, 2015. We arrived at Trucks Only on the afternoon of June 29, 2015 with the notion that we were taking delivery of the truck. When we get there they informed us that they "found more things wrong with it" and the engine needed to be replaced. On June 29 we called Trucks Only 6 time to get information on an update the the truck we purchased. We no answer from the dealer along with no call back after we left messages. On June 30, 2015 we finally received a phone call back about an update on the vehicle in which the parts were ordered on June 30, 2015 and received the parts on July 1, 2015 and the vehicle would be ready for delivery possibly on July 3, 2015 or the latest July 6, 2015. We did not received any notice or update on our vehicle on July 6, 2015. On July 7, 2015 we called Trucks Only to find out if our truck was done and we were notified that it was not done and it would be done July 8, 2015 or July 9, 2015 the latest. On July 9, 2015 we arrived at Trucks Only to finally receive delivery of the truck we purchased on June 27, 2017 to find out that our truck was not done by Trucks Only mechanics and had to be taken to [redacted] Ford in [redacted] because of a check engine light that they could not fix them selves. It is now 13 days after the original purchase of the 2008 Ford F-150 and we have not gotten delivery of the truck from Trucks Only and have not taken pocession of the truck from Trucks Only nor driven it off Trucks Only dealership property.Desired Settlement: My fience and I do not want to deal with Trucks Only in any way shape or form with anything to do with this vehicle including the extended warranty purchased through Trucks Only and any maintance with Trucks Only. We would like our deposit off $1000 returned or taken off the purchased price plus our $1000 deposit.

Response:

Unfortunately we ran into multiple mechanical issues with the vehicle purchased by Mr. [redacted]. These repairs took much longer than originally anticipated. We have spoken with Mr. [redacted] and given him the option to cancel his deal and receive a full refund of his down payment. He has selected this option and we will be refunding his money today and canceling his contract per his request.

Regards,

Unethical business practices here. Read before you sign anything! I bought a vehicle for cash and told them I did not want my credit report pulled. They assured me they would not pull my credit report, but told me I had to sign a form that titled "credit application" due to the patriot act. They pulled my credit anyway and lowered my credit score after promising not to. Found out later this is a common scam of car dealerships. Don't believe them when they tell you they will not pull your credit! [redacted]

Review: Purchased a 2011 dodge charger from trucks only understanding that the car fax had reported an accident but trucks only had performed a saftey check 14 months after purchase had car in for warranty and the dealership found no passenger air bags in car trucks only claims this is not there fault so I worked out a deal with trucks only to purchase a new vehicle they gave me less for the car than I paid and then Now screwed up my plate refund from the dmv costing me more money again its not there problem due to there lack of safety check my family could have died in a wreck but its not there problemDesired Settlement: I want my 102 dollars lost in registration and for truck onlybto change there safety inspection practices

Business

Response:

In regards to the purchase of the Charger, this transaction occurred in October of 2012. Mr. [redacted] was fully disclosed that the vehicle had been in a prior accident where airbags had been deployed. It was known to both parties at that time that there could have been issues related to that accident. Mr. [redacted] was given full opportunity and even highly recommended to have the vehicle fully inspected prior to purchase. Trucks Only even put the vehicle on our own hoist and Mr. [redacted] inspected the vehicle on his own. Approximately 15 months later, Mr. [redacted] advised Trucks Only that he was not happy about the situation with the car and the airbags. We worked with him to get him into another vehicle where he received almost full value of the car back in trade, even though 15 months had passed and the car now had an additional 15000 miles. Mr. [redacted] was happy with the deal we made him. At the time that deal was made, the trade-in vehicle was not on site. We advised Mr. [redacted] that we would charge him the full amount for the new plates and he could turn his plate from the Charger in to the state and get the refund from that. Once the trade vehicle was brought in, the plate was removed from the Charger and given to Mr. [redacted]. He was again told that he could turn the plate in. Mr. [redacted] was provided a plate to his new vehicle and has been in possession of the old plate the entire time. Now, three months later, Mr. [redacted] expects Trucks Only to be responsible for the fact that the plate was not canceled. It should be noted that Mr. [redacted] has purchased 5 vehicles at Trucks Only over the past several years. Each time, he has received a very fair deal on the vehicles he has purchased. At times, Mr. [redacted]' demands have been outside the scope of a fair deal for both sides. Nevertheless, he has always been given exceptional, personalized service, and we have always attempted to meet or exceed those demands. In the interest of proving our commitment to our community and the Revdex.com, Trucks Only will send Mr. [redacted] a check for the amount he feels that he is owed. In return, Trucks Only will kindly ask that Mr. [redacted] explore other options for the purchase of his vehicles in the future. Hopefully his new dealership will be willing to provide the same fair pricing, value, personalized service and honesty that Trucks Only has always been willing to provide to Mr. [redacted]. We will send out the check immediately.

Review: On January 24th 2013 I purchased a used Hummer H3 from trucks only in mesa. Originally I was given an interest rate of less than 2%, I believe it was 1.75% which seemed to good to be true but the sales manager who is the owners son told me he called a credit union in california and they had agreed to this rate. It turned out it was all a lie. I need a copy of the final paperwork after the deal had been financed by the bank so 2 1/2 weeks after the purchase date I called for the paper work and they told me the deal had not been financed, due to the bank not agreeing to such a low interest rate. 2 1/2 weeks of not getting financed and nobody had called to tell me. So of course by now I was getting late payment notifications because they hadn't paid my trade off yet. So they told me I had to come down and resign the contract for more than double the original interest rate, and for some reason I did. I waited a couple of weeks and called again for my paper work and they informed me yet again the bank had not financed the deal, but still no one had called me! So for some dumb reason in march now, after having the hummer and they my trade in I signed again for an third interest rate near 7%. All the while all three contracts had an extended warranty in the deal which I have in writing.

So July comes around and I need some service done on my hummer so I call my warranty company and they tell me that the dealership had canceled my warranty ($1,800) and they got the refund from the warranty company, however neither me or my bank have received the money or notification of the warranty cancellation. So last week I call the General Manager [redacted] at the Mesa location and let him know of my issues. He said the deal looked weird and would call me back. He called me back later the same day and said yes we owe you the warranty and will take care of it and call me back to confirm. Well three days pass and I finally call him back and he said he would call the warranty company and call me back. He calls back and says its all squared away, and the warranty is as if it was never canceled.

Today I called the warranty company and they show my contract still canceled and the dealership had received the refund. So today I called the dealership yet again and had to leave a message with the General Manager. Yet to be called back yet.Desired Settlement: I want my warranty that I paid for if not a better one for the same money. I have spent countless hours dealing with these reoccurring issues. I also want the owner of the company notified as the General Manager dosen't seem to care. He didn't fix the issues as he said he did and didn't offer me even one cent as compensation for all the times his company has screwed me over and now has stolen $1,800 from me and the bank in the form of my warranty refund. Also if they reinstate my warranty I don't want it retro'd back to when I signed the contract because I've been paying on this 36 month contract for 6 months and in fact haven't even had the warranty.

Business

Response:

Unfortunately, there was in fact an error in processing the warranty when it was originally purchased. Once Trucks Only was made aware of the issue by [redacted], it was immediately reinstated, on or about July, 17th. This was prior to him filing the complaint with the Revdex.com. He believed that it had not been done because he had the wrong contract number. He should reflect now that it is active. Unfortunately, the warranty must be reinstated to the date of the original sale. Trucks Only has no influence on that as the warranty company requires the contract to reflect the original sale date. However, had there been a problem sooner, the issue would have been rectified at that time and reinstated, so in effect there has been warranty coverage since the date of sale. We are sorry that [redacted] has had an unsatisfactory experience with Trucks Only. We truly strive to provide the best value as possible with all our customers. If there was a way to mend the broken relationship with [redacted], we would certainly make an honest effort and listen to all reasonable requests to do so.

Review: I purchased a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado z71 4x4 from Trucks Only in [redacted] on Sunday, July 12, 2015. At the time of purchase the truck had the check engine light on, which they did not try to hide that at all. That means that they had a truck on the lot for sale with out a mechanic even looking it over. We landed a deal on a price that I felt comfortable with. I also purchased the warranty with my contract which includes an "in house" warranty. Upon our agreement on price the employees at Trucks Only stated that whatever the issue(s) is to get it "road-safe" and that any issues they found, they would fix it. I scheduled an appointment for today, Wednesday July 15, 2015 where I dropped it off at 8:30am. I did give them the wrong number, so I called to give them the right number. my sales man, mitch, called me back a few minutes later to let me know that they will be unable to fix it due to the numerous issues with the truck that will cost them at least $3000.00. they stated that they are not going to fix the truck because it is too much of a cost for them to fix with the amount of money that I had paid for it. not only did they sell a truck that no mechanic had inspected first, they are not honoring the upfront agreement to "fix what ever issues are needed".Desired Settlement: I want exactly what I promised, as far as the truck being fixed up to safe and "road ready" standards and to have the issues fixed. I have a 2 year warranty through them, which I want to be reassured that if/when an issue comes up in the future for the two year contract that the company will not pull this again with me and will honor the contract and warranty and I want it in writing. and since I took almost a full day off work to come down and look/ buy the truck on sunday, if the contract is broke I want some sort of reinbursement for time and money lost.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I am seeking $200 because I bought a new exhaust muffler for it and had it installed. I am seeking 5 hours of pay for time that at missed at work at $23/hour for the total time it took to locate the truck, purchase and complete paper work then also the time I took to bring it back and find a ride home. I am seeking $100 for gas which is a combined total of $415. Also, the contract that was given to me upon purchase of vehicle was left in the truck's glove box which I never got back nor did they contact me to let me know I left it. They never gave me any type of form or paperwork showing they "cancelled" the contract they just stated they "shredded" and they said "we'll act like it never happen" so at this point I really don't know if I have a contract with them or not.

I went there looking to trading in my car for one of his vehicles. I test drove three cars and I was deciding between two vehicles and had a mechanic of mine come by to check out the cars and he was pointing out the costly defects on the vehicles and the sales man became irate. He then proceeded to insult my vehicle and then my personal life because we were finding what he was trying to hide that was wrong with the vehicles.(I didn't even get a chance to have my mechanic look at the engines in the vehicles) I left there upset but glad he didn't have a chance to rip me off. Thanks for listening I'm glad there is someone to help so he doesn't do this to someone else.

I visited Trucks Only and found a vehicle I felt would be suitable for my price range and need. We agreed upon a price and I took possession of the vehicle. At this time I felt the deal had been completed and the vehicle was mine, however that is not the case. I was contacted 2 days later and advised the bank they were using did not approve the loan and asked me to come in to re-sign paperwork for another bank. When I arrived to sign the papers, I was advised the deal they were now offering was roughly $200 more a month. This was an “offer” I felt was outside my financial means and would not except. As she reviewed my file, she quickly found that my income that was submitted to the bank was roughly $10K less than actual (they had a hard copy of my most recent pay stub in the file). She then said she would re-submit using the correct amount and said there should be no issue. Later that week I had made an appointment with this dealership to have one of the door locks repaired. While dropping the vehicle off, I stopped by her office to make sure everything was good to go, and she advised they again denied the loan. At this point I’m quite frustrated as I didn’t receive a call from her and it was 2 days later. Once again I found myself sitting at her desk trying to understand how a legal contracted deal can be made and a week later tell me they can’t find a bank to finance this deal. At this time I asked her to consider one of two of my credit unions and she told me I should contact my banks myself. I wasn’t very happy as I thought this was her job as a finance manager. I contacted her again the next day to see if she had any luck with another bank and she advised she or the dealership were no longer pursuing banks to finance the vehicle. It was completely on me at that point. After two weeks I decided this was not working and took the truck back and pick up my trade in. I waited a full hour for them to drive my truck from the back lot to the front (roughly 50 yards). While waiting this hour, the “salesman” I originally made the deal with expressed to me owner [redacted] did not like the deal the manager had originally made me, and was ok with me bringing the truck back. Furthermore, the owner asked the manager why they didn’t try selling me a truck that had been sitting on the lot longer than the one I wanted. This whole time I just kept asking for my truck. I observed the employees during this time and was amazed how they all just sat around. They had a lot full of potential buyers and made no effort to greet them or assist them. After waiting this hour I walked to their back lot myself with the lot attendant and pointed right at my truck. He brought it around and I walked around it. They had attempted to fix one of the door panels and left it apart on the inside. I was able to put it back in place but it should not have been touched. I also found my keyless entry key fob was missing from the key ring. I again went back inside to the manager. They said they would look for it. At this point I didn’t want to wait any longer but I did as this should have been given back with the truck. I was then told by the manager and salesmen “they had lost it”. I held up the keys and said if you lost it you would have lost the one key I turned in with the truck. The key fob had to have been taken off of the key ring. I asked what they were going to do about this and they just looked at me speechless. I quickly left before I proceeded to tell them exactly how I felt about them. Needless to say, I’m quite unhappy with this experience and extreme lack of customer service in all. I am amazed there are company’s out there that actually treat their customers like this. I have worked in customer’s service for 10+ years and would have never treated anyone like this. I truly expected the owner to step up once involved and attempt to turn a now un-loyal customer into a happy customer but they did not care to lose my business. I cannot understand how this company stays in business with such a lack of customer service and lack of customer appreciation. How can the Revdex.com stand behind these crooks? I would not send my worst enemy to Trucks Only. Because of my experience, I have and will continue to tell my friends, family, and coworkers do not waste your time with Trucks Only!

DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT! These people will lie directly to your face to get you to write a check for a downpayment, makgin promises they can't keep, and change the contract that you sign with them! We purchased a 2002 Chevy Silverado with these is, we put money down, they promised us the warranty for the live of the loan. They did not come through with ANYTHING. Weeks after we take the truck home, they call us and say they can't get it financed. WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU LET SOMEONE DRIVE A TRUCK OFF YOUR LOT WITHOUT FINANCING???? Then they try and change our payment, they wanted ANOTHER $1,800 additional to what we gave them originally, AND the warranty that we got for the life of the loan? They lied and the warranty was only for 36 months. These people will lie and cheat their way into your wallets and be a giant pain in your [redacted]. I have NEVER been so appalled at horrible business practices in my entire life. I work in the sales field and this behavior is absolutely atrocious to cheat people this way. Horrible business, horrible people. You will regret ever going here.

Review: I received a letter Dated Sept 17,2014 that stated account balance of $285.37 for "down payment". I contact [redacted] at Trucks Only and was informed it was for the first payment that Trucks Only made to the loan company.

I [redacted] informed [redacted] that if Trucks Only accounting Dept. made an error that would have to be addressed between them and the loan company. That I made no verbal or written authorization for them to act on our behave.

Also that they deceived me with original cause by stating account down payment balance. That I was never involved with the decision to make any payments on our behave. [redacted] stated because it took so long for Trucks Only to process the loan paper work that they decided on there own to make the payment..

That is there problem not mine.

On Oct 23,2014 I discovered that trucks only removed $150.00 from [redacted] account. I called [redacted] and she did not do it and would look into it. I received a phone call from [redacted] in recovery/collections. I asked him three times why the money was removed and for what it was owed for, and [redacted] could not answerer the question. [redacted] stated that he can remove money from anybody's account any time he feels like it and to read the contract. He stated that if I did not like it I would have to take them to court and implied that they have great lawyers..

In reviewing this I found the following that may or may not apply.

[redacted] law prohibits debt collectors from engaging in a range of deceptive and intrusive tactics when collecting money on behalf of a creditor. [redacted] also requires collection agencies to be licensed. The [redacted] law is similar to the [redacted]), a federal law that protects people who owe money for consumer debts from abusive collection practices. However, because the [redacted] law is a criminal statute, unlike the [redacted], it does not allow individuals to sue collection agencies for violating the law.

[redacted] law defines “collection agency” as anyone who is “engaged” in collecting alleged or actual debts, including anyone who owns a business but collects payments from customers under a different name.

[redacted] law also requires that collection agencies be licensed and provide a bond. All employees of a collection agency must “deal openly, fairly and honestly” in conducting their business. Licensees may therefore not “engage in any unfair or misleading practices.” In addition, the law forbids “oppressive, vindictive or illegal” collection methods.

Under this umbrella, [redacted] law prohibits these specific practices:

• sending any written communication that imitates any form of judicial process from a court, government entity, or lawyer

• representing that the debt collector practices law or maintains a legal department unless the collector is, in fact, also licensed to practice law

• attempting to collect any collection fee, attorney's fee, court cos,t or expenses that the debtor is not legally obligated to pay

• misrepresenting the amount of the existing debt or falsely stating that if the debt is not paid, the debtor will incur additional attorney fees, investigation fees, service fees, or any other additional charge, or

• giving the impression that the debt collector represents the State of [redacted] or that the state government or any state agency has endorsed its activitiesDesired Settlement: I firmly believe that they acted as a collection agency, gave misrepresentation on four different occasions, and was vindictive, intrusive and bullied us my taking the founds from our account.

I want the $150.00 returned by check to made out to [redacted]. I want no further action on collection from them and I do not want them to contact the loan company so we do not end up with an extra payment.

No adverse credit reporting.

Response:

On or about July 31st, 2014 [redacted] and [redacted] purchased a vehicle from the Trucks Only location in [redacted]. Their loan funded with [redacted] on August 20th. At that time, [redacted] withheld the proceeds of the first payment that was becoming due within 10 days. The customer received a credit to their loan in the full amount of that payment. When this occurs it is understood that the customer is to make their payment to the dealer that had the payment deducted from their funding. The customer signed a promissory agreement that explicitly states "by signing I authorize Trucks Only to run my credit card for any past due monies owed, even if less than total amount due, and up to total amount authorized by cardholder's bank." In this instance, the first payment owed represented past due money owed and therefore Trucks Only is entitled to run the card. After the $150 payment that was authorized, and other credits the customer had to the account, the remaining balance to resolve the matter is $135.37. This is money that the customer 100% received a credit for and is expected to pay. We would hope for a quick resolution to this matter. All documentation that supports the facts stated above are included in this correspondence. Thank you.
