As of yesterday Monday, March - she has not received a refund check and I have checked her mail and she said she has not received a check

Did finally receive the check for $on Saturday. I do understand that business are in business to make money - however they did not provide any services except deduct money from checking account - and being a senior citizen and on a fixed income you would think they would take this into consideration. I and everyone I know will be told do not do business with True Auto, and will give them a very negative report.

I'm sorry for the delay, but as stated in your policy book, refunds are processed within days of receiving the letter of cancelation in our office. We received your letter of cancelation on
1-4-16. You will have your refund check by Feb4,

Mrs***, The refund check was mailed to your moms address atn *** *** ** ** ***. Have you checked with her to see if she has it? As stated in the policy, your mom had a day review period to cancel for a full refund. Also, at the end of the phone call that she made to us, she was read a disclosure statement and was told about the day review period. Since she bought the policy on 12-29-and canceled on 2-10-16, the refund check is pro-rated for the amount of $62.56. If you don't have the check by Monday the 14th, please let me know so I can stop payment and issue another one to her

Yes I have checked with her and have gone through her mail and nothing has showed up as of yesterday's date. As far as only receiving a refund check for $62.56 - when over $was deducted from her account for a service that she did not use - as soon as I saw the booklet that was sent to her and also the dollars that was deducted from her account I did call and cancel this service which was on 2-10. - days beyond the day review period for a service that she did not use and does not remember signing up for and being a senior citizen and on a limited income

First I would like to say I'm sorry that your mother has dementia.  I would also like to say that there is now way for us to diagnose this over the phone.  Your...

mother called us on 10-20-15, 1 full year ago, to purchase the policy for her vehicle.  We did not call her. Your mother provided the VIN #, current mileage, and payment information.  In no way can we bully someone over the phone to provide all that information.  Again this was purchased 1 full year ago.  Had you called to cancel this within the first 30 days, then your mom would be eligible for a full refund, but as stated in the policy, after the 30 day review period, then a pro-rated refund will be issued.  Legally we can only cancel the policy for the policy holder unless a relative like yourself sends us the POA, which you did, and then we canceled it for you as you requested.  If we cancel a policy for just anyone that calls in and a claim is filed then we are liable for the claim.  That's why the POA is required.  We faxed the Letter of Cancel to you on 10-12-15, once we receive that back in our office, we will mail the pro-rated refund to your mother.

I am rejecting this response because: I am writing about my claim with True Auto LLC. I understand about the 30 day 1,000 miles waiting time. I only drove the car 433 in that month and it broke down before I could get the 1,000 miles. I had 45 days when the car stop. They still wount me to pay note on coverage, and I can't get my car fix. How do they think I can get 600 miles more on the car when it broke down before I could reach the miles. If you can cancel it for me. The True Auto Policy.Thank you for your help

I am rejecting this response because: Unfortunately nobody asked for POA papers and I witnessed a 20 minute conversation where your agent tormented an 89 yr. old man over and over. All he wanted to do was cancel his policy and Daniel berated  and belittled him still trying to coerce him into keeping the policy. It was heartbreaking to watch him shake and become fearful and confused. There's no excuse to put a little old man under that kind of pressure. When the funds arrive I let you know.

Well after continued talking with [redacted] he referred me to a [redacted] who continued to insist I had a pre-existing issue.  Finally I was advised to talk with a woman named [redacted].  Finally someone who was listening beyond what the inspection report listed.  After speaking with [redacted] and she listened to my side of the story and I listened to her side of the story and she thanked me for this being my second contract with the company.  In the end we came to a mutual agreement that left me satisfied with True Auto.Regards,

Sorry for the confusion but we did not deny your claim, as we are not the claims dept.  We are an agent for Interstate National Dealer Services, they are the insurance company that backs your policy and they...

approve and deny claims.  I contacted them for you and spoke with their claims supervisor and he agreed that the claim should be paid.  He has approved the claim and called the shop to authorize the work.  If you have any other issues please call us directly so we know what's going on and can help you with the situation.

calls but we only mail letters.  So your calls are from another company. I am rejecting this response because: I did not have the contract for 15 months.  I made 13 payments from October 27, 2015 and 12 of those payments was for $134.58, and one payment for $147.00 in August.  My contract was to pay for 24 months and the last 3 years would be free.  Yes you were rude to me for no reason, keeping me on the phone telling how much of a stupid mistake I am making for cancelling my contract.  To get you off the phone I had to hang up on you.  My exact words were wait for it and then I hung up the phone.  Constantly over talking me, after telling you to cancel my contract. We would not even be going through this if you had given me a print out of the charges when I asked you nicely for it.  Instead you chose to be rude, to me for no reason.

Mrs. [redacted], The new refund check was mailed out on the 15th of March, and was check # 6398.  The old one that you never got in the mail was check # 6375, and we have stopped payment on that one.

Mr. [redacted],           Your refund will be there in 3-5 days.  I'm sorry you feel our agent was rude Mr [redacted], however, he was just doing what is required by law.  We must have the POA papers to cancel a policy for anyone other that the policy holder.  Your policy was a active insured policy.  If we cancel it for anyone other than the policy holder, and then there is a repair after the fact, then we are liable because we canceled it without the policy holders permission.  We were just following the rules. Regards,[redacted]True Auto LLC
