Trulia provides a rental fraud warning on all rental listings, this includes warning against wiring money. Trulia does not take responsibility for the actions of our consumers. This listing has been removed.

We license the information about sold and off-market homes. Our data provider compiles public record information from local assessor, tax collector, and recorder offices across the United States going back for a period of 10 years. When public record data is compiled by the data provider, homes are assigned parcel numbers that contain the property information. There are some cases where property information provided to us are in-congruent with the respective parcel numbers. Trulia understands this is an issue, and we are working on improving the way we receive information from our third party data provider. At this time, we are not able to change the information we receive until new data is provided in the next data collection cycle. To clarify, data collections occur one or twice per year. 
 
As mentioned, Trulia will continue to operate separately from its parent company, [redacted]. Because of this, we do not share the same tools and capabilities to update public record information for Off Market homes. Our developers are currently working to consolidate the process to manually edit public record data. We do not have a timeline when this project will be complete, but we assure our consumers this is only temporary. Once we have the feature to manually edit data for Off Market homes, we will notify the consumer.

my co-marketer. There Terms and Condition were changed prior to us setting up our new 12 Month leads campaign on 3/30/15 and were not disclosed until 4/20/15 when I received an email announcement from Trulia about the changes. Trulia also agreed to refund the automatic billing error from the old XXXXX campaign because they automatically renewed it at a much higher rate without our authorization. I have the email to prove it! My co-marketer received his part of the refund but Trulia must have canceled the refund of my part because I never received it. Probably because I filed this complaint on Revdex.com about their fraudulent ways of doing business. If they were not in the wrong with the auto renewal, then why did they refund my co-marketer and not me?
Trulia obviously misrepresents their products intentionally just to get a credit card from any unsuspecting agent, then the billing nightmare begins. If we would have known about the changes, we would have never signed up for a new 12 month campaign. Trulia is still charging my co-marketer (which he is having to dispute with his CC company) and threatening to send me to collections because I have not updated my credit card information with them.
It is VERY CLEAR that Trulia is frauding hundreds and hundreds of unsuspecting agents all over the country. Just look at their Revdex.com Rating (F). The complaints are all very similar or the same as my complaint.
Trulia needs to do the right thing and process my refund as promised from the XXXXX campaign, cancel the 12 month campaign and refund myself and co-marketer for the unauthorized charges made and are still making to credit cards, and STOP SENDING ME EMAILS!

I have not received any refunds from Trulia to date. Trulia also refuses to cancel the 12 month contract that they misrepresented to myself and co-marketer. My co-marketer is still being charged for it. I had to cancel my credit cards to stop them from charging me for it. Trulia does do not want to resolve the problem and keep calling me and offering me discounts to keep the contract going. I've told them several times "NO" but don't want to listen. It is useless trying to get Trulia to do the right thing!

After reviewing the property page, the square footage has been updated to show as 2833 square feet as seen in the screenshot provided. Ultimately, this information can not be edited directly by Trulia. This information is sent to us through third party data collectors that obtains the information from the county and automatically updates on Trulia when the discrepancy is identified at the next data cycle.

Business respond “The color spectrum not only considers the amount of crimes located in a given radius, but also the severity of the crime. This means it is possible for a certain radius block to have more crimes and be a lighter shade on the crime map.”
I have checked 2 addresses both in the same street, actually they are exactly in front of each other. First address is [redacted] and the second address is [redacted]. When I searched for those 2 addresses on Trulia I found is the following (Please see attached screenshots)
1- First house [redacted] ave showing three crimes (Jun 20, 2017  Jun 19, 2017   and Jun 19, 2017) and marked in the dark green (lowest crime)
2-Second House [redacted] is in the front of the first house  showing same three crimes (Jun 20, 2017  Jun 19, 2017   and Jun 19, 2017) but marked the area is marked as light green (low crime)
3- Same area same date will give you different number of crimes. (Please see attached screenshots)

Trulia is in the business of providing information, which is done by means of a public website on which they post information regarding the property owned by other individuals. As such, they assume an ethical obligation to post truthful and correct information.
 
Trulia continues to attempt to shirk its responsibility for the false information by claiming that it relies on a third party to supply the information. However, the false information is on Trulia’s website, not the website of a third party. Therefore, Trulia owns the false information and is responsible for it. Trulia claims the information is updated by a data feed “once or twice a year.” Why will they not give me a specific date? I have no way of knowing if the next update will take place in one hour or in 15 months. In addition, since the data on my property was updated incorrectly in the past, I have no confidence that it will be corrected in a future update. What will Trulia do to remove the false information if it is again false after the next update? Trulia is simply using this “update” story to stall and avoid removing the false data.
 
Trulia’s entire business is their website. I DO NOT BELIEVE them when they claim they do not have the capability to manually remove the false information about my property. I am certain that ,if one of their advertisers had a problem with information on the website, it would be corrected immediately.
 
My request remains: immediately remove the false information about my property or remove entirely the page showing my property.
 
I have provided to the CEO of Trulia a document from the County Assessor that proves the information on the Trulia website is false. Trulia has acknowledged, in the latest response to my complaint, that the information is false. Therefore, since they have removed neither the false information nor the page showing my property, they are knowingly and deliberately posting false information. This is highly unethical.

means to publish frequently updated data in a consistent data format. In the Trulia Listings Feed process, it's an XML file that transmits your listings. Typically, a Web master or software developer will set up the feed and submit it to Trulia. Trulia does not pull listings from different websites.
 
The changes the homeowner is requesting to their listing on Trulia will need to be updated at the source of the listing. We do not have access to [redacted] - [redacted] to make edits. The real estate agent should be able to easily make these changes, or will need to contact [redacted] - [redacted] to make the changes on his or her behalf.
 
If the agent experiences technical difficulties, they can contact [redacted] and one of our technical account managers will be able to assist.

I know the conditions of the contract. I called in and only wanted to renew one of my accounts with them and gave them my new cc# to pay for it. I only wanted the one account to continue on that card, not any of the other ones and I was not locked in. They just failed to cancel the other accounts and charged me for them. I want that month as a refund which would total $324.14 as per our contract I was able to cancel.

Please note the first attached file is from the San Diego county tax Accessors office that proves my square footage is 2,833 and what they have on file. According to the Tax Accessors office, they do not sell information to [redacted], etc. I believe if they had, the square footage would have an accurate reflection.  
 
Note: The second attachment is what I sent Trulia, showing the appraisal performed on my house in Feb 2017 that shows my square footage, pictures of my home, showing all the rooms, bathrooms, etc. that shows the house is much larger than 1,833 sq ft and how that number was a typo but they still would not update their file.
 
The Tax Accessors file is more recent as I had to go to their office and pay for the confirmation of characteristics proving my square footage.
 
I simply want my square footage updated to 2,833 as it should be.
