Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved Sincerely, [redacted]

I signed up with Try the World on October * Received a message, after my payment hit, that within *business days I would receive a tracking number for my first box and delivery would be *business days from October * Here it is October [redacted] and still nothing I'm due a second box (signed up for a three month subscription) next week I have sent them email messages and also tried a live chat on their blog All I got from those attempts was a reply which read " [redacted] ***" I also went to their Facebook page, sent several messages and finally got a response from Diego with a whole mess of excuses All I want is what I purchased and if it's not going to come, refund my money

Review: Try the World is not honoring my request to cancel service. I followed the steps on their site (send email to [redacted]) on April 20. I received no confirmation. On June 4th, I was charged for another box, which was mailed in late June. I emailed the same address on June 22 to again request cancellation, and a refund. I received an autoresponse. I then commented on their Facebook wall and submitted the identical request through the email form on their site, requesting that they acknowledge confirmation and refund my payment by Monday, June 29. I have not heard back. I emailed them a final time this morning saying that if I did not hear from them by noon today, I would file a complaint with the Revdex.com because other people on their Facebook wall had similar customer service/refund issues.Desired Settlement: I would like Try the World to confirm my cancellation and refund my payment. I would like them to institute better policies so other people don't have the same problem moving forward.

Review: I ordered a box from Try the World. It was a trial box and showed in my account as "trial" and not "subscription." To be safe, I emailed them to cancel my subscription, as I am supposed to do. I received an email that sounded like it was cancelled so I didn't think of it again until I saw I was charged for another box. I emailed again and they sent me the same email. I emailed them again when I realized at the bottom it told me I had to click a link to confirm that I wanted to cancel my box, I checked to cancel my box and they still didn't refund me. I got the box. They have a guarantee so that if I am not satisfied I can return the box for free. I emailed them again to request a return label. They again wanted to assure that I wanted to cancel, the multiple other emails were not sufficient. I again told them yes I wanted to cancel and return so they sent me another email stating that they sent me a return label but I never received it. I sent them an email stating I didn't receive it so they sent me an email saying they resent it. I again did not get it, emailed them stating so and I haven't heard bad. They will do anything to keep you subscribed. I've been trying to cancel my subscription and not get this box for the last two months.Desired Settlement: I want the refund I have been asking for for the last two months.

Review: I purchased something from Try the World. Their website says I can cancel at any time. I could find no phone number on the website to cancel so I e-mailed them. I e-mailed them on 4/24/15, "I would like to cancel any future orders. I enjoyed the boxes I received I just don't want anymore boxes or anything else charged to my credit card." They responded on 4/27/15 by e-mail sending me a link to cancel. I followed the link and directions to cancel. On 6/4/15 my credit card was changed again and on 6/20/15 another package arrived. (My statement says that they charged it on 6/3/15 but it did not come out of my account until 6/4/15. I added this because I am unsure of what date to put for purchase date later in this complaint form.) I should not have been charged anymore and I should not be receiving anymore products from this company. They have a phone number attached to the charge on my statement [redacted]. When I called the number an automated system said that to contact them I would have to e-mail them. I already e-mailed them to cancel and it did not work.Desired Settlement: I want a refund to my credit card for $39.00 which is what they charged me on 6/4/15 after I had already requested to have the account canceled. I don't mind returning the item. It is unopened but I do not want to pay to ship it back to them. I also want them to cancel my account so that they can no longer charge me.

Review: I placed a Paris box gift order on September 18th, 2015. Try the World's website states that gift orders will be shipped within 10 days of order. As of October 2nd, 2015, my order still has not shipped but my card was charged long ago (I placed the order now 14 days ago). I submitted an order inquiry through the company's website on Monday, 9/28 and got no response (and still, as of today, haven't gotten a response to that by the way). I posted on the company's facebook page that night and they told me to private message them with my email address connected to the account. I did so via facebook and and asked them what was going on with my order as it had been more than 10 business days and I hadn't heard a word from them. They told me they would ship my order by the end of this week and I still have not heard back from them so am assuming my order has not shipped (and I've followed up with them on facebook since then with no response from them). This is the worst customer service I've ever encountered and I feel like they are a scam. I want my order canceled and a refund immediately.Desired Settlement: I want a refund immediately.

Review: I've had several issues with this company, namely:1) horrendous response time to inquiries--I had to email a few times and wait WEEKS before my complaint was recognized. No suitable resolution was provided.2) one of the products that I was led to believe would be in the box (a tin of coffee--which was present in every blogger's box when they reviewed it and was a major factor in my purchasing this box) was altogether missing. I was told after the fact that there was no guarantee of contents in each box, but this was not apparent prior to purchasing.3) one product that was included (a box of pasta) had been OPENED and PARTIALLY USED! I verified the weight of the product compared to the weight on the box and it was off by several hundred grams.4) only while consuming another product (mushroom sauce) I tasted grit in the product, which was absolutely disgusting. In wanting to return the box, I found this policy "Try The World commits to refunding the first box if the subscriber is unsatisfied with the product. In order for Try The World to refund the box, the customer has to ship to box back to Try The World (address below), and the box has to be in perfect conditions: the packaging and the products need to be new and non-opened." I knew if I attempted to return the box, with one product already opened and the other one already consumed, they'd refuse the refund. Also, how am I supposed to know that the mushroom sauce would be unpalatable if I didn't taste it first? 5) I tried to cancel my subscription but no acknowledgement was made of my email. I did notice that my account was finally canceled, but no one responded to my concerns as to why I was canceling.Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of this service and in particular, the absolute lack of adequate communication.Desired Settlement: For the excessive amount of trouble this has caused me, I feel the only just resolution would be a full refund of the cost of the box ($39).Thank you,[redacted]

Response:

Thank you for bringing this very important issue to our attention. We are deeply saddened to hear about Ms. [redacted]'s experience with Try The World. We would be more than happy to address all of her concerns for you.She first highlights the issue of lengthy response times. On the following pages you can see a history of all Ms. [redacted]'s commu nication with Try The World. The grand majority of her emails were answered within 24 hou rs if not sooner. However, there was one instance in which she had to wait four days to receive a response. This is truly not typical of Try The World. However, at no poi nt did she have to wait several weeks for a response as she indicates in her complaint.Second, she states that she felt mislead due to the fact that due to the fact that she saw a blogger review that contained coffee however, this item was not included in her box. This statement is in fact true yet; we are very upfront with our customers concerning the fact that we work with small prod ucers. Due to this items vary from box to box because of inventory constraints. This is very clear on our website upon sign-up it is also indicated in the box as well. Please see photos on the following pages. To address her third concern, all of our prod ucts go through an intensive inspection process multiple times. This happens before we pu rchase the product, after it is shipped to our facility and finally just before it is put into our box. Due to this fact there is no way that an opened item with a portion of it removed would be included in a box. She also has no mention of this in any of her email correspondence with Try The World.Fourth, Ms. [redacted] expresses her distaste for a prod uct in the box. Unfortunately, this is completely out of our control. However, there was nothing wrong with the prod uct in any sense. In order to return a box a customer must send it back in good condition with all prod ucts unopened which is standard in the industry. Finally, Ms. [redacted]'s cancellation was handled in a quick and speedy fashion and was even offered multiple discounts.Thank you very much for bring th is concern to our attention and taking the time to read our response. Have a great day!Sincerely,Try The World

Review: I ordered from this company on a trial basis. I ordered a box that was suppose to include a free box. Three times they claim they sent the box to me I never received it. Then they charged me for another box without my permission! Then when I complained about their poor service they tell me to send the other box back! Why should I spend more money on this crap never received properly. I told them I was not satisfied and wanted all my money back. They also take weeks to email anyone back.Desired Settlement: I want my month back for both boxes since I never received all I was suppose to received and I did not authorize the second box...

Review: I purchased a 3 month subscription on 6/22/15. I have never received the item. I have called their phone many times and there is only an automated message that directs customers to their email address. I have emailed them more than 5 times asking for a status update. Once they emailed me that I would receive a tracking number and that my item would be sent out for shipping 10 days after the purchase. It is now past 10 days and they are no longer replying to my emails asking about the status.Desired Settlement: I filed a claim with my bank which is fighting for a refund. From Revdex.com, I think the company should be notified of its actions (there are many complaints of false advertisement and people not receiving what they paid for).

Review: Ordered on 8/20 paid in full on 8/21 shipping stated WITHIN TEN BUSINESS DAYS. I have attempted to get an email response but it is auto response.Desired Settlement: Deliver the order

Review: I have tried repeatedly to cancel this service to no avail. I have jumped through every hoop required by them but they continue to bill me.

These are the only two names or emails the account could be listed under but they tell me neither of us have an account with them, but they continue to bill us!Desired Settlement: Cancel this subscription completely, never to be billed by them again.

Review: I have tried to cancel this service and they continue to bill me. They have not responded to my request to cancel the service.Desired Settlement: I want them to stop billing me and to return the amount that they have billed for.

Review: On Oct 19th 2015, I wrote an email to Try The World regarding my subscription. I did not realize it was a recurring subscription service, and attempted to cancel the subscription online on the renewal date (the 15th of October, 2015). I have been unable to contact any employee to confirm that my subscription was cancelled, or to get a refund of the subscription. I emailed Try The World ([email protected]) two more times until the 27th of October, customer service representative Angela told me she couldn't help me, but would forward my information to someone else who could. It is Oct 30th 2015 today, with no response. I called the 1-800 number, which advertises a "quicker" response on their website. The number goes to an immediate voicemail. I still haven't been able to contact a representative of the company.Desired Settlement: Contact from a customer service representative confirming cancellation of my subscription, and a refund of the renewal, $105.00 USD.

Review: I ordered a box from this company and got it pretty quickly for my first month of the subscription and got a discount along with it for signing up. I was very pleased and I subscribed to I believe a year. The second box was supposed to come in July. When it didn't come I asked where it was and got a very prompt response that it would be on its way soon. Then I got an email saying it shipped and delivered on August 6 2015. It never came and I have been trying to get a hold of someone ever since. No one is responding to my emails, facebook posts and there is no number to call. I went to their facebook page (you may want to check it out) and they have dozens of people with complaints. So I wanted to cancel and emailed them and have yet to hear back about canceling. I am now furious and have never had a retail experience quite so unprofessional. To be honest I am not sure that this isn't a scam. Anyway I would like answers and possibly most likely a cancelation but I cannot do that with no response on their end. Please help me and the others! Thank you so much.Desired Settlement: It really depends. I would like my missing box and every other box in the future to actually arrive at my house and if there is a problem I would like there to be someone to talk to, if this can't be guaranteed I want a refund and a cancelation and no further charges.

Review: An email signup page said free box and had an email sign up area. The page had no statement that restrictions apply, that subscription is required, or any other restriction or condition.Desired Settlement: The business changing their email sign up page(s) to include a statement like "with subscription" that conveys that signing up for a subscription is necessary to receive the free box. *I would not like to see charges filed against this business if they make this change. I would only like to see charges filed against this business if they have been given a reasonable amount of time to change their pages after receiving this complaint AND any legal orders by the Revdex.com, then have failed to do so.

I do not want a free box as this is not what they are offering. I want them to clarify what they are offering for future customers.

Review: I ordered a package program from Try the World on May 30th. The company charged $39 immediately and did not send a tracking number or any information until June 18th. When they shipped the product they also mailed it to the wrong address and then did not respond to my requests to fix the issue. I have emailed them over a dozen times now and called but there is no actual phone number for their company. I also contacted them via social media with no luck. The company has yet to refund my money or send a package of products.Desired Settlement: Please refund $39 to my bank account and end my membership immediately.

Review: I paid my account subscription of $198 in full. On June 28, 2015, I decided to cancel my account. I received confirmation from "[redacted]" at 4:08 p.m. on the same day that my account would be canceled. I never received a tracking number for any box (as the policy is that you must cancel prior to 5 days before a box is shipped). I did not receive a box until over a week later, thus I certainly cancelled in time to ensure that a box was not already in transit. I cannot get a response from anyone, despite follow up emails, facebook posts, etc.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the full amount of $198, plus the costs of return shipping for any boxes that are or have been sent to me, as they are being sent in error.

Review: Received first box late and 90% of items damaged by broken containers with spilled rotten food.Desired Settlement: I would like a credit for the $39 I spent for that months billing cycle OR an undamaged Argentina box as replacement. I would require this to be sent to me within the next 10 days. would like that agreement in writing by email or via this complaint form. If crediting me I expect the entire $39 for that month since my "Paris box" was to be free. If any more boxes are received this way I will cancel membership.

Review: I purchased a $5 try me box from them. I then emailed them right before I received it stating that I did not want a subscription and that I want to cancel. I got an email with a link to cancel and I followed said steps. I thought I was all good. Well I got billed again by them 2 days ago for $39. I tried to contact them via phone, their #doesnt work, and again via email and via Facebook to no avail. I followed their policy of canceling at least 5 days before renewal so they should have never rebilled me. I want a response, but there are many others out there having the same issues. I had to cancel my card and I am trying to dispute the charge with my bank!Desired Settlement: I want my money back!!!!
