Dear [redacted]:
I have reviewed this account and see that we obtained
verification from our client that this account was paid. Our client posted the consumer's payment in their system on September 6,
In response to Ms[redacted]'s complaint, she was not being
double billed for her son's account.
When we received this account on September 1, 2015, the consumer's
payment to our client had not yet been posted and her account was still past
due
When we receive a consumer call such as this, we send a payment
verification request to our client to see if the account is paid. In a great many cases, our client does not
show payment and if we can provide proof to them, i.e., the date of payment,
method of payment, copy of a cancelled check, etc., this can help us resolve the
dispute for the consumer The consumer
is under no obligation to provide us with this information, but in many cases
it can help us more quickly resolve the dispute for them

client, or had this been a case of a missing or misapplied payment, then this
account could ultimately have been reported as an unpaid, disputed account,
against this consumer's credit report
Payment in full has now been posted to this consumer's
account and nothing was reported against her credit reportHer account is paid

to take the time to file a complaint with the Revdex.com but wouldn't take the time to
help us investigate and resolve her dispute

This account was assigned for collections on 3/1/13 and our initial notification to the consumer, mailed out in March 2013, informed the consumer that he had thirty (30) days to dispute the debt and request validation.  This was never done by the consumer.  THE FDCPA does not suggest that...

validation must be done a year and a half later if the consumer did not request validation during the initial thirty day period. However, in an effort to help the consumer resolve this debt, I have requested validation of this debt from the original creditor today and will forward to him upon receipt. Also, when the consumer disputes an account with the credit bureaus and we reply and/or mark his account as being in dispute, this is in compliance with both FDCPA and FCRA requirements.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I never received any invoice from the original creditor or TSC. I am requesting any information, documentation be mailed out immediately so that I can verify any alleged charges and their validity. If none exists, please remove any reference to this account from all three credit reports.
Regards,
[redacted]

Review: I have emailed the company regarding an item on my credit report on several occasions without response. I have no information on the alleged debt and without verification of its validity, I must insist the item be removed completely from my report. I have never received any invoices from the original creditor or from TSC stating the alleged amount owed. Without validation in writing of the original debt and without a response from TSC, I will consider that tacit agreement that there is no justification for the debt and it should be removed from all three of my credit reports without delay.Desired Settlement: Remove all reference to alleged debt from all three credit bureaus

Response:

As stated in our initial response to this complaint, we have replied to all credit bureau inquiries regarding this account. Our records do not show that we have received ANY communications from the consumer directly about this debt.

Response:

We have replied to multiple online inquiries of dispute from the credit bureaus asking us to verify the data on file. We have replied, confirming the consumer's name, date of birth, Social Security number and debt as being accurate. I show no record of any communication from the consumer, either via email or telephone requesting validation of the debt.

Review: I was double billed, by both a collection agency and the doctor's office for which TSC, the collection agency was collecting on behalf of.

I received a collection letter from TSC two weeks after I had paid my son's medical bills in full. Upon direction of the collection letter, I called TSC to let them know that I was disputing the validity of the debt, as instructed in their letter, and when I was told that if I didn't send them a copy of the cancelled check, they were going to report the matter on my credit report. I told them that their issue was with the medical office that hired them, not me, and that I had no obligation to prove anything to them, as they were in the wrong, there was no debt, it was being contested, and that was the end of it. The man I spoke with on the phone was rude, obnoxious, demanding and threatening and frankly, a bit abusive. I have a problem with abusive men, and when I find myself on the phone with someone who is making threats to me, I refuse to continue the conversation.

I was told that I had better work with them, because my doctor's office may not provide them with the proof of payment needed in time to prevent them from wrecking my credit.

Really?

That sounds like extortion to me.

I want them to stop contacting me, and most importantly, confirm that they are not going to fraudulently report paid debts on my credit reports.Desired Settlement: If they have reported this debt of $48.71 to a credit reporting agency, I want it rescinded, immediately.

Complaint #:[redacted]

Dear [redacted]:

I have reviewed this account and see that we obtained

verification from our client that this account was paid. Our client posted the consumer's payment in their system on September 6, 2015.

In response to Ms. [redacted]’s complaint, she was not being

double billed for her son’s account.

When we received this account on September 1, 2015, the consumer’s

payment to our client had not yet been posted and her account was still past

due.

When we receive a consumer call such as this, we send a payment

verification request to our client to see if the account is paid. In a great many cases, our client does not

show payment and if we can provide proof to them, i.e., the date of payment,

method of payment, copy of a cancelled check, etc., this can help us resolve the

dispute for the consumer. The consumer

is under no obligation to provide us with this information, but in many cases

it can help us more quickly resolve the dispute for them.

As for the credit reporting concerns, we do report unpaid

accounts to the credit bureaus and we are obligated to inform consumers of

this. If there had been a delay in obtaining payment verification from our

client, or had this been a case of a missing or misapplied payment, then this

account could ultimately have been reported as an unpaid, disputed account,

against this consumer’s credit report.

Payment in full has now been posted to this consumer’s

account and nothing was reported against her credit report. Her account is paid

in full. As a footnote, it’s interesting to me that this consumer was willing

to take the time to file a complaint with the Revdex.com but wouldn’t take the time to

help us investigate and resolve her dispute.

Review: I have sent several letters to TSC Accounts Receivable asking for debt validation on 5 that is reporting on my credit report because I believe that they are reporting inaccurate, unverifiable and erroneous information. According to FDCPA Section 809(b) they are not allowed to pursue collection activity until the debt is validated. They did get at least one of my letters because they have changed the account to report "in dispute." According to the credit reports I have been getting from the credit reporting agencies, they state that they are verifying the information with TSC Accounts Receivable but they have ignored me and have not given any proof to me. I need your help to get them to remove the inaccurate data from my credit report. I also noticed on my credit report that they continue to report payment history by adding a KD in the months that I am disputing this account and according to FDCPA 15 U.S.C. 1692g(b) they must cease ALL collection activity during the investigation period and a KD is considered collection activity.Desired Settlement: Since TSC Accounts Receivable has refused to provide me validation on this account and they continue to violate FDCPA laws, I request that this account be deleted from my credit report.
