We ordered new rims for [redacted] They are already here from being shipped; I sent him an email letting him know thatWe’ll make an appointment for him to come inJust to let you know, [redacted] picked up his rims

I am emailing in response to your email today regarding complaint submitted on 4/16/2015 against Jack Maxton Chevrolet, Inc.. I was under the impression I had two weeks to respond which would fall on Tuesday, so no the issue has not been resolved. Your email today indicated that if further assistance was needed that I could send an email. My response is as follows:Jack Maxton is not responding to the actual issue at which I have described and is squirting the actual complaint in an attempt to avoid responsibility associated with inappropriate action on their part.1. Jack Maxton took three weeks to generate a complete report (the first and final report are attached as evidence). 2. The final report was due at the ***e of service on 3/9/15, but was refused by Jack Maxton to be generated due to the ***e in the evening when their "inspection" was complete and an employee needed to leave to pick up his daughter. When GM Executive Team (customer service) indicated for me to arrive at Jack Maxton to obtain said official report on 3/25/15, [redacted] the service manager without cause called the Worthington Police to indicate I was trespassing and that he refused to provide documentation I had the legal right to obtain. It was only received on 3/25/15 via email after the sales manager from [redacted] Chevy, my selling dealership, contacted [redacted] post incident and told him his actions were illegal to withhold said documents3. My complaint is of inappropriate use of authority in an attempt to terrorize a customer in which they did not want to help, because Jack Maxton was not the selling dealership. I was told serveral ***es that I should return to my selling dealership, which was not possible due to being in MA. It was also illegal to withhold the documents and not produce them at the ***e of service, which is a concern in regards to the integrity and honesty of the service department; were they attempting to hide something? Was the right report generated? I imagine a lot of vehicles are looked at in a 3 week period of ***e and it would be difficult to recall information appropriately. In epidemiology they would refer to this as recall bias.4. Terrorization not only occurred for myself but also against another consumer who was startled by the police and backed into their SUV, causing an unnecessary accident at the hands of Jack Maxton. In an arbitration meeting against GM for the actual problem with the vehicle on 5/14/15, the arbitrator asked GM why Jack Maxton would have called the police and their representative [redacted] testified that [redacted] must have felt threatened by me. I would like to indicate that as a 5'2'' 150 lb caucasian female, I am not remotely threatening to a man of approximately 5'10'' and 200lbs. Not to mention that in the state of Ohio, in regards to self defense, an unarmed man is inherently threatening to a female regardless of her weapon status. Thus if anyone was threatening in this situation it was the service manager [redacted] at Jack Maxton Chevrolet, which proves that his action in calling the police were inexcusable and 100% unnecessary but is a demonstration of the gross mistreatment of female customers which has been documented in other consumer reviews.I have requested and yet to receive a written apology for the gross mistreatment. I have also requested that a donation to the Worthington Police Department be made in my name as a result of Jack Maxton wasting my tax dollars in misuse of the department.Once again, Jack Maxton has yet to touch on the actual complaint nor accept responsibility for their actions. They have chosen to reply with statements that they have no evidence to support, as their statements are incompletely true. Yes, I have admitted that I refused to sign the incomplete work order, but I was never in person offered a completed work order/invoice in which to sign. I refused to sign the initial document, because I was worried if I signed the incomplete work order, that I would never receive a completed one. Jack Maxton has yet to comment on any need for terrorizing a consumer with the police, because there was no reason to contact the police, as the Police Officer indicated, I was not causing a disturbance and I left peacefully when they asked. The only disturbance cause was by ***, who created a scene with the police that startled many customers at the bay.I am further disturbed by this company in their inability to take accountability. I have not asked for anything unreasonable and refusal to apologize makes me fear for continued mistreatment of future female chevy vehicle owners.

Here is the response to this casePlease let me know if there is anything else I can do Signed AS IS purchased agreement

We are trying to reach the customers of complaint * and their number is disconnectedDo you want to reach out to the customer and let them know we have their duplicate title. We tried 614-***
We do not want to just mail it without them knowing we have it because we
can only get copy made

Mrand Mrs*** purchased a Ford Ranger with approximately 140,this past January. Just like any vehicle we have, any customer who comes in has the opportunity to look at, test drive, and even take to a third party to have inspected before making a purchase. The ***’s looked at, and test drove the vehicle. Being a 1999, the truck was 100% and the customer signed as such. (Although when they went home we received a phone call saying the vehicle did not have a jack for the spare tire which we purchased for him with no questions asked). Nine months later we received a phone call from the daughter of the couple stating that the vehicle was not in good condition and unsafe to driveShe questioned our integrity by saying that the book value is way lower than they paid and felt we took advantage of her parents. I offered her half off our labor rate of $per hour to have any repairs made at her convenience. She stated she wanted a full refund or for us to pay 100% of the vehicles repairs which I politely declined to do. The title was sent to the customer in late JanuaryWe will provide the customer with a duplicate title

*** *** *** *** *** did discuss with the customer about fixing damaged rim, professionallyWhen the customer brought the vehicle in to get the rim sent away to be restored, the rim was mistakenly handed off to our service team to fixIt should have been sent out to the wheel medic
and that was a communication error on our endThe Jack Maxton Chevrolet Service team did work on the rim and drove the vehicle to make sure there were no vibrations coming from the wheel The customer called back and was unhappy with the job performedWe offered to take the rim back, send it to the wheel medic and get it professionally restored while giving the customer a loaner vehicleWe do apologize for the prior miscommunication and would like the chance to get the rim restored like previously communicatedWe would also provide a receipt to the customer proving that we did send it to be professionally restored

Programming the remote cannot affect the actuators.  The actuator is inside of her drivers door.  We simply programmed the transmitter to talk to the actuators.  As she states the rear doors work fine.  The passenger door does not work at all and the drivers door actuator is very...

sluggish.  These issues were not caused by us.  I am sure if she takes her car to a Chevrolet dealer in her area and explains what we did and the issues she is having now they will confirm the reprogramming isn't the cause.

Unfortunately, the transmission is giving me trouble again. I hoped the repair they performed in August would have lasted longer. I would like them to look at it again, and if it can't be repaired economically, then would they please work with me on a trade.

The consumer spoke to the used car director, Jason, and agreed to reimburse him $300 for the air condenser replacement. We also offered him a free oil change.

Please review this recording of the phone call when we set the appointment.Although we did sound optimistic that her issue would be covered, at the endof the conversation we did advise her of the $96.00 charge.  I will alsosend you in a separate email a copy of the repair order where she...

At Jack Maxton Chevrolet, we try very hard to make sure every customer is happy with their entire experience. Although a warranty is recommended by our finance director, at the time of purchase, Jerome decided against any kind of warranty for his 2006 Impala. Unfortunately, shortly after purchasing...

the vehicle, the check engine light came on. He called his Sales Specialist and explained what the car was doing. His Sales Specialist told him to bring the vehicle in to be serviced. His Sales Specialist was in constant communication with him through texts providing details about the services being performed. (Text Messages are documented and can be provided.) His Sales Specialist explained that we performed the work per our diagnostic trouble codes in the computer. Our customer is welcome to call his Sales Specialist to set an appointment to bring his vehicle back. Jack Maxton Chevrolet is willing to look at the vehicle again to address the service issues first communicated by the customer. The service department will again be looking at the diagnostics and will be servicing the vehicle per trouble codes only.Thank you.

Not acceptable, not only did they do unauthorized work, they also damaged the wheels more than they were. Then they passed the vehicle back to me as if agreed repairs were made, if I had not taken it back to the tire/wheel place when I did, I could have had a blow out and been seriously injured or worse. Bottom line is they were not authorized to hammer on my wheels and they caused worse damage to them by doing so. In addition to their misleading practices they were also negligent! Also, it was not only one wheel. Below I've sited 4 references on the danger of what jack maxton did to my rims.Attached are the service record copies, img 5 and 6 are the before and after work orders after jack maxton hammered on my wheels1. "Back in the Dark Ages, when men were men and wheels were all steel, a good mechanic could take a bent steel wheel and pound it out with a hammer. This technique offered zero precision, and could usually not do anything about vibration, but could bend the steel back to the point where the wheel could make contact with the tire and hold air. Some mechanics will still offer to “hammer out” bent aluminum wheels. Never, never allow anyone to hammer out your aluminum wheels. as the most likely outcome is a cracked or destroyed wheel. Even if the wheel does not crack, the alloy will be damaged and will never be the same."reference: http://tires.about.com/od/wheel_safety_maintenance/a/Wheel-Str...  "If the crystalline structure of the wheel is not annealed, the fractured structure makes the wheel weaker at the point where the bend was, and subsequent impacts can more easily cause the metal to return to it's previous bent position, or “snap back.” We say of this condition that the metal has “retained a memory” of it's previous state, which is why erasing that memory by annealing the inner structure of the metal is such an important part of the process."reference: http://tires.about.com/od/wheel_safety_maintenance/a/Wheel-...  "Wheel straightening technology was originally developed for steel wheels around the beginning of the last century. When aluminum alloy rims began to become popular in the United States, many people tried to fix the using steel wheel technology. It didn’t work and usually causes even worse damage to all rims. Many people in the auto business still consider it “common knowledge” that aluminum rims cannot be straightened once bent, or that bent aluminum wheels can simply be hammered out. Neither is true. Rims get bent everyday by impacts, usually caused by potholes and curbs. We use our proprietary technology, which uses heat, hydraulic pressure, customized tools and metallurgical skill to straighten aluminum alloy, magnesium or steel rims to factory specifications. Our process is both an art and a science, requiring literally hundreds of hours of training before a straightener is qualified to work on customer rims. Although several different techniques now exist for straightening alloy rims; our proprietary process is superior in several way; methods that do not use heat such as cold roller technology typically leave the affected are weaker than before."reference: http://www.certi-fix.com/wheelStraighten.aspx 4. "Uncorrected vibrations caused by out of round or bent wheels, will cause uneven tire wear, extra heat and pressure, which will require costly premature tire replacement. Worse, this can cause a tire blow out during high speed driving. Beyond tire damage, these vibrations can also cause serious damage to both the steering and suspension systems of your vehicle. This untrue rotational mass can also be a safety hazard due to the contact patch changing dimension and location with every revolution of the wheel."reference: http://www.calchrome.com/Repairs

I am rejecting this response because: That is not the correct phone number. It is 614-[redacted] which is clearly printed on several sale documents. Also, this repsonse does not address the other three concerns listed in the initial complaint.

Regarding Business Complaint ID [redacted] on 10/01/2014
Jack Maxton Chevrolet has provided documentation attached for the accusations regarding ‘services not performed’ and ‘warranty coverage’ on the 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt. On 05/02/2014 the customer brought the vehicle in to...

inspect the hub bearings stating there was “rub type noise” from the front. The Jack Maxton Chevrolet Service Department checked the customers’ concerns and saw no issues with the hub bearings (RO Number [redacted] Repair Order and Service Sheet provided). The Jack Maxton Chevrolet Service Department did mount and balance a new rim on the left front and replace the sensor, replace sensor on the right front, relearned all sensors, and replaced the power steering motor - per recall (Work performed stated on RO Number [redacted] Repair Order and Service Sheet provided).
When the vehicle was purchased on 05/29/2012 the odometer read 63,459 miles. The Mileage Plus warranty contract signed visibly states the coverage plan was for 48 months or 60,000 miles. The vehicle currently has over the 123,000 miles allotted, making the warranty void (copy of warranty attached).

We absolutely apologize for the poor customer service in the parts department.  It is an issue that is presently being addressed.  The parts warranty for GM parts is simply that the part is replaced if it fails. We can refund the $50 as a goodwill gesture.

Thank you for reaching back out to us. At Jack Maxton we strive for excellent customer service. With that in mind, we met with you and discussed your desire to purchase the Tahoe. We were given the impression that the most important factor in the purchase was getting the lowest monthly payment...

possible. We certainly respect that. And to that end we felt you had two options: [redacted] and [redacted]. Being self-employed, [redacted] required 3 months of bank statements.  Because enough funds hadn't been deposited into the bank account, unfortunately, the bank statements did not meet the requirements.  [redacted] did not require any income verification. However, we stayed in touch with [redacted] trying to work out a solution. Some miscommunication happened when you were talking to different [redacted] Representative than we were. Regrettably, the agents were not sharing the same information. In any case, after submitting additional qualifying information to [redacted], we received the final terms.  They were at a lower rate but you were only approved for a 48 month term. [redacted] approved you for 72 months with a lower payment. Therefore, the financing was submitted through [redacted].  We apologize for any missteps which may have caused you any dissatisfaction. We hope the enclosed Complete Vehicle Detail and 2 Oil Changes makes up in part for this.   It was a pleasure working with you. If we can ever be of service to you again, please don't hesitate to contact us.

My service manager has contacted the customer and left a voicemail stating that he will make arrangements to have someone pick her car up and get the recalls handled and then have someone deliver her car to her. The customer has not yet responded to the voicemail. If you have any questions let me...

know.Thanks

We ordered 3 new rims for [redacted]. They are already here from being shipped; I sent him an email letting him know that. We’ll make an appointment for him to come in. Just to let you know, [redacted] picked up his rims.

We first want to say that we are sorry you are having issues
with your 2002 Avalanche. At Jack Maxton Chevrolet, we inspect our vehicles
very thoroughly before putting them on the lot for sale. In this instance, your
vehicle was driven an estimated amount of 11,000 miles in 8 months. We...

never
want a customer to feel like they were not taken care of and that is why we
waived the diagnostics cost on the vehicle when brought in for service. As a
goodwill gesture, we would be happy to talk to you about giving you Internal
Pricing on servicing your Avalanche. Attached with this response is 3 documents
– a Warranty Disclaimer showing you bought the vehicle As-Is, a We-Owe slip
that shows there is nothing that we owe you after the sale of the vehicle and a
Buyers Guide explaining further what an As-Is warranty encompasses.

Here is the response to this case. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do.  Signed AS IS  purchased agreement.
