Two Men and A Truck/Denver Reviews (41)

There is no doubt that we were the cause of all the issues [redacted] has listed in her complaint However, [redacted] was provided men 5/5/at an agreed hourly rate of $per hour Due to the personnel issues that day [redacted] was only charged $per hour for two men [redacted] also accepted a $discount off of the bill 5/5/as resolution and compensation for the aforementioned issuesAs [redacted] stated, the issues and time frame it took to complete her project were indeed our responsibilityThis is why [redacted] and our manager agreed that there would be no additional charges for all services we provided 5/and 5/7, a total of hours of laborPrior to any services being provided, [redacted] herself chose to reject the option for full replacement valuation coverageShe herself chose to limit Two Men And A Truck's liability for damages to cents per pound per article Being that [redacted] readily accepted all of the time credits, discounts and waving of fees to address the coordination issues, we will not be offering any additional compensation outside of the contractual coverage for damages [redacted] herself chose [redacted] has already been compensated, and agreed to the compensations we offered for her complaints ***'s damages will be honored at the contractually chosen level she chose We will not offer any additional compensation in addition to what [redacted] has already received

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and also in the spirit of good faith agree to accept the offer Sincerely, [redacted] ***

We have come to an agreement with [redacted] that we are going to reimburse her $towards the cost of a new dresser Trying to repair it turned into an utter fiascoHowever, ***'s Check was sent to the wrong address last week I swear we will have this all sorted out by next week at the latest

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I am going to address each issue stated by Two Men and a Truck1) Booked Jobs: a) First Job Pack Basement in December b) Pack Old House in February 17, c) Move Old House and Garage February 18, 2) The Garage was included in the moving date of 2/18/until we signed a contract with Garage Experts to do our Garage floorThat contract was signed on 01/21/ At that time the Garage was severed from the 2/18/16, move and was scheduled for 2/22/Two Men and a Truck were notified at the time the contract was signed.3) My Husband's health was never mentioned as a reason to stop the moveIn my Husband's best interest the move was needed to be completed on the 2/18/date Instead because the movers chose to leave my Husband had to return to our old house and move one of the TV's to our new house so [redacted] could do installation on the 2/19/Again my Husband and I NEVER stated to stop the moveOne of the Movers stated he had a family issue and needed to leave. Also Two Men and a Truck Movers stated they knew their schedule and would returnI did not ask them tooNor would I presume to know how to schedule MoversWe did make several attempts to Contact the Office and ***Never got a return callOur schedule was very tight for our moveWe had scheduled to have Painters and Cleaners in the house on Monday and TuesdaySo why would I ruin the schedule for painting and cleaning of our old houseWe had to delay both teams by a full day so that Two Men and a Truck could finally complete our moveIf we had know that the type of contract that Two Men and a Truck offered was an open ended contract we would never have agreed to hire them as our MoversWe in good faith believed that they would honor their moving date and complete the jobInstead they left a 72"x15" piece of equipment in our home and numerous toolsI did not agree to thisWe paid them and they did not complete the job on the stated date and time frame Sincerely, [redacted]

Since this complaint was received, we have sent a professional vendor, who picked up and repaired the item in questionThe item has been respired and returned to the customer

The customer came into our office to confront our manager ***The conflict was resolved with a hour (217.50) reimbursement to the customer, which they accepted as a full and final resolution for all complaints and damages

I have attached some key documents that [redacted] himself signed, stating to have fully read, understood and agreed to the terms outlined therein.First and foremost [redacted] didn't just move from across the streetHe moved from a 4th floor to a third floor apartment buildingWith stairs, elevators and other dynamics evolved with moving in downtown [redacted] , the project was daunting enough for [redacted] to decide on his own accord it was beyond his ability to do aloneHad he done so, it would have taken more than hours. Now, had our men thrown his belongings off his balcony, and piled them into the back of our truck like refuse, an hour to an hour and a half would be a reasonable expectation to complete the project However, most of our customers don't want us to treat their belongings like trashSo we pad wrap and move these items with careWhich is absolutely more time consuming that the aforementioned balcony method.Time is money, especially when you are on an hourly rateThis is why we provided [redacted] a "Pre-Move Confirmation Letter" 9/28/Just as the attached documents show, [redacted] 's Pre-Move Letter included an estimated total of $to $This was the estimated total cost of his moveThis is actually why we try really hard to impress upon our customer's that it is actually important to read the Pre-Move Letter. On the attached sales order, [redacted] signed the specific section stating and I quote; "I have read and understand the Pre-Move Confirmation Letter and Moving Services Agreement." All customer facing documents associated with [redacted] 's move and estimate clearly state an estimated time frame of 2.5-hours, reflecting a cost of $to $ [redacted] 's actual total was $571.25.The only way that [redacted] could ever believe that his estimated move cost was $300, would be if he didn't read any of the documents that he signed stating that he both read, and understood what he was signing.Unfortunately, if he signed something without reading it, that is no one's responsibility but his own We will not be offering any sort of compensation or discounts to [redacted] because he refused to read the information we provided to him Additionally for the benefit of our hardworking and dedicated employees we too would appreciate it if [redacted] called another mover in the future

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: weeks before ***tmas the dresser was picked up by men and a truck to repair the damagemen and a truck delivered the dresser weeks ago to my apartment - I reviewed the repair with the drivers and told them that the repair was unacceptableI could not believe they delivered the dresser is this condition and expected me to be satisfiedIt was bumpy, not sanded correctly and looked worse condition than when they took it for repairThe dresser also had additional scratches on the bottom sidemen and a truck sent an employee of theirs (I believe his name is ***) to view the dresser and he was disappointed in the job as well [redacted] came to my apartment last night to attempt to fix the dresserHe worked on it for hours and told me he would have to come back to complete the repair at least more times Sincerely, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and appreciate the response and attention However I feel that my request for a refund of $(hours x $145) to be reasonable Sincerely, [redacted]

We do not dispute this complaint at allHowever, we will require some time to investigate the claims thoroughly to offer any resolution I cannot promise the full amount requested, but will advocate for the highest amount possible in hope of customer retention My name is [redacted] , [redacted] , [redacted] I will have an answer and resolution in place w/in the next 4-business days I appreciate the opportunity to make this right

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: There is no truth in what is stated by the BusinessMy husband was home at the time and he agrees that no such statement was made by me or him*** one of the movers stated that it was late and his wife was expecting him home and he had family matters that needed his attentionThey stated that they would come back on FridayThey left part of their truck and their tools in our homeI signed off on a form because the Movers stated it was required by their Boss that each day the form must be signedNothing was ever stated to me or to my husband that the job was completedThe move was to take place on the 18th and be finished on the 18thWe were left with pictures on the wall, part of our bed on the floor, as stated previously tools, part of their truck and lots of packing materialIf the move was finished why did they leave their tools and part of their truck in our home? We all agreed that they would return on Friday to finish the moveI have a text from Will stating he was running late and had contacted their Dispatcher to arrange help for usNothing followedWe were never contacted by phone on the 19th or 20thI will be happy to supply phone records for confirmationWe paid Three Men and a Truck in good faith as requestedBut, they failed to complete their part of the contractThey have breached the contract by failure to complete the move on the agreed date

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/09/23) */
I personally Spoke with *** *** in regard to her complaints and damages
*** was under the impression that her "estimate" was a "quote." We, however, do not give fixed or binding, or not to exceed pricesRather, we charge a flat
rate for travel, and an hourly rate for loading and unloading time
Prior to services being provided, *** signed a REVISION TO ESTIMATE, stating that based on her preparedness, the total move will take longer and therefore cost moreThis form is signed by *** acknowledging this fact
In regard to her damages, In a phone conversation I had with ***, she stated that she would be having her drapes cleaned, and asked if I would approve for her chair to be cleaned, and reimburse herApparently she did not have the chair cleaned, and we have been waiting on said bill to offer final settlement
I spoke with *** last Friday 9/18/to follow up and was informed the cleaning never too place
We have offered *** a total reimbursement for all complaints and claims in the amount of $
We are simply waiting for her to respond

We were under the impression that a vendor was in possession of and in the process of repairing the wedding jug In the event that this has not happened, Two Men And A Truck will be willing to compensate Mr *** in the amount of $for the damaged item

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the consumer in reference to complaint ID .***, and find that arbitration is necessary

*** *** contracted moving services with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK 3/12/2016. Per the contractual paperwork customer's have hours after the completion of their move to report damages *** did not report damages, and filled out our paperwork stating that specifically. The first
contact that was made to report damages was 5/25/ It was explained then that the claim was being made outside of the contractually agreed window by a 3rd party and therefore, could not be honored It is our customer's responsibility to inform us of damages To date, *** has never reported damages to his belongings or property We will not assume liability more than months after a move based on heresay
