On 2/14/I had T [redacted] heating come out to do a renewal on my oil burner contractThis included a regular maintenance checkThe Tech arrives at 08:as scheduled, comes in sees unit and says "wow this is old, you should look into getting a gas conversion." My response “no we aren’t looking to spend or more to do that at this time." He then proceeds to do his job I go upstairs in my house and after about hr hear a bang soundI ignored it figured its part of what he’s doingHe comes up some time after and asks me to come down stairs he needs me to take a look at somethingI go down and he tells me to look inside the igniter hole and to see if I can see the white lining that fellI asked him was that the loud noise I heard? He then says to me what noise you didn’t hear a noise todayImmediately lost trust in the company because I know what I heard and it was loud enough that I’m sure he did tooSo then he proceeds to tell me to fix this it’s going to cost way over $

Very positive experience from estimate to installationKnowledgeable techniciansVery conscientious office staff and great follow up!

After final review of this issue, we have found the refund given to the customer to be fair and just The customer made the following statements in his complaints; 1/12/“I called Tyler HeatingLLC and complained about thisThey said they will refund me a partial amount of money” 1/17/“I did receive a partial refund and I agreed that this would be good” 1/17/“partial refund that they provided on 1/12/2016.” As promised we refunded the agreed amount on 1/11/ Since a resolution was offered and accepted, we cannot offer any additional refund Russell D*** General Manager Tyler Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration

This was absolutely one of the best most professional services I have hadI called to have tech come out and I had called a few places who wouldn't service me or return my call but they gave me a hr window, arrived in the first hour and serviced my oil furnaceThey where extremely fair with pricing and the tech was very pleasantI will continue service with this companyI am grateful I had to deal with no heat in the middle of a blizzard but now it's up and runningThanks

We used Tyler Heating when we converted from oil to gasFrom the first call to their great office staff to the day of installation it was a positive experienceThey were prompt, efficient & highly professionalThey wore boot covers whenever they entered our home & put floor coverings down when they installed our boiler & water heater which is working greatWe received follow up calls from both [redacted] & Tyler and we let them both know that we were very pleased with our decision to use their company and would highly recommend them

On 12/21/we received a call from the customerRequesting maintenance on his 17-year-old oil fired furnaceHe said he was unhappy with his current HVAC companyHe asked our dispatcher if she liked working here and explained that he was a mechanic that works on carsWith the information that the customer has an older unit, our dispatcher advised the customer the following: We have a maintenance contract available which can save him up to 15% on repairs This contract could enable him to receive up to a $discount on a new piece of equipmentAn appointment was set up to perform the maintenance days later 12/23/The technician that arrived and performed the maintenance advised the customer the following: All the parts on the furnace looked to be original The furnace is “Worn down and needs immediate replacement” The furnace needs a transformer Primary control Oil pump Burner motor The customer should get a price for a new furnace to compare repair vsreplacement At that point the customer asked for a ballpark price to repair vsreplacementThe technician verbally gave him the price to repair, then called a salesman to get a ballpark on replacementBoth prices were presented to the customer verballyI confirmed this with the technician and the salesmanThe customer stated that he would call the office when he made his decisionThe second time we heard for the customer was weeks later Friday 1/6/at approx8:22PMOur technician arrived at 8:and left at 10:(PER GPS) The technician spent approximately hours fixing and testing this customers furnaceThe bill was $A portion of the bill was the trip charge ($189) and a portion was for adjusting the electrodes ($144)The technician confirmed the original technician’s diagnosis and offered the same solutions, repair or replace the equipmentThe customer said that he had not decided and he will contact the office on Monday 1/9/***It should be noted that the technician adjusted the electrodes to the maximum allowable adjustment per manufacturerThe root cause of this is due to the weak transformer (which we recommended) [redacted] The third time we heard from the customer was one day later 1/7/He called in to the dispatcher stating that his furnace went down againHe stated that he watched some [redacted] videos and ordered a set of electrodes for $from Amazon to perform a repairIn the meantime, he made some additional adjustments to the electrodes to get it up and runningHe stated that he wanted a full refund The Dispatcher spoke to me the same day and I authorized a partial refund of $The customer stated he was happy with that solution and would call on Monday to speak to a salesman The customer called on Monday and asked to speak to a managerHe left a lengthy voicemail and I promptly returned his callI was shocked to find out the customer was extremely upsetI apologized numerous times to no avail The customer’s complaints to me during that conversation were as follows He stated he never received a quote for the repairs during the initial visit He stated he never received a quote for a replacement after the initial visit He stated he was never contacted by the office to set up a sales appointment after the initial visit He stated that he worked on his furnace to get it running by watching you tube videos He stated that he bought parts from [redacted] to repair his furnace for $ He stated that we should have “told him he had to repair the furnace” and “ordered the parts right then” during the initial visit My response to these complaints are as follows1+The verbal quotes were given at the time of the first visitI have the call logs from tech to salesmen that were confirmed with GPS and phone recordsThe customer received verbal quotes for repairs and replacement during the initial visitOur office called the customer to set up a sales appointment to give a firm quoteThe customer never responded4+ We DO NOT condone, non-professionals working on HVAC equipmentNot only can they put themselves in danger, but they can endanger the lives of others in the home and their neighborsThe part the customer was working on has a ten-thousand-volt capacity and could cause instant death The moment the customer worked on his own equipment he voided all warranties and contracts(as stated on our contract) Also, if he didn’t get a ballpark price from us like he states, what is his intention of telling us the parts were only $13? I explained to the customer that it is Unethical to NOT educate the customers on all their optionsAs the professionals, we need to let the customers make the decision on how they want to spend their moneyBut they can’t do that if they don’t have all their options In summary, I spoke to both technicians, the dispatcher and salesmen in addition to the customerIt’s my conclusion that even though we did our due diligence in customer education, we fell short by not writing down the ballparks they were given to the customer We pride ourselves on customer serviceIn the interest of keeping the customer happy, I authorized the partial refundIt is also my determination that the customer worked on their own equipment which voids all warranties and contractsDIY is not ok for HVACAs business, it costs a lot of money to obtain a new customerThe last thing we want is to lose any customer, but, we simply cannot take on the liability of having a customer that works on their own equipmentI am confused as to why the customer is asking for more of a refund after they have already agreed to a resolution

My expansion tank started leaking in the middle of MarchTyler HVAC not only had someone in the office at night who took my call but they arrived promptly the next morning to repair They offered to come out immediately but the boiler was still working so there was no need Great service, friendly and very clean technicians I would recommend Rich's crew to anyone In fact when I have central air installed he will be the first and only HVAC contractor I plan on calling

On 6/I had the company come out to fix an issue with my central air unit leaking The technician came, fixed the issue, replaced a drain pipe, and mentioned that down the line I would need to replace other parts When I asked him what down the line means, he said in a couple years Altogether, the service call cost me $600+ Well, last night (9/18), my central air unit was once again leaking from the same place I also noticed another piece had a crack in it that was not there before When I called Tyler back today (7/19), they advised me that there would be another $diagnostic fee + any other repair/replacement part fees I was shocked In less than months the same issue has arose, not to mention the crack that was not there prior, and the company is charging me again? I asked to speak with a Supervisor or Manager and was told none were available and I would get a call back eventually This is why I am filing this complaint

Tyler is a Bait $ Switch company! I was looking for A/C maintenance and they told me about their Maintenance Plan that cost $more than the $charge, for a year agreement In speaking with their representative, we talked about "system" servicing, which essentially is nothing more than changing the filterWhen the Service man finished, he told me that he serviced just one unit in a house that has two, and that the second unit would be another separate charge The entire hour service call cost me just under $600! I called the company to discuss this and to date have not heard back from them There was no Freon involved, yet this came to $300/hour - - that is ridiculous! Since I was forced to give my credit card to the Service man in order for him to service my 'system', my credit card company would not dispute the charge TYLER IS A CROOKED ORGANIZATION, OTHERWISE, THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN UPFRONT WITH THE TOTAL COST OR ASKED MORE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE 'SYSTEM' What did I actually purchase for the extra $- - the right to a 10% discount on future parts - - what a joke If they were genuine, they would have contacted me back to discuss this!!!!

I contacted Tyler Heating in December of to perform maintenance of my furnaceWork was completed on 12/They came on timeThe technician who did the maintenance stated, my furnace is old and is in need of replacementHe said, the parts are oldAs a result, he saida Sales Representative would call me because it is better to replace the furnace then to buy parts as this timeThere were no attempts by a sales rep or anyone at Tyler after this maintenance, to offer a parts quote or for a sales rep to come to my home to review my old furnace
Our furnace went down on 1-6-We called Tyler Heating and they were very responsive to our call and came to our door within around a 1/hourThe technician reviewed our furnace and came to the conclusion that the furnace requires parts
He said, I should have gotten the parts and I was told I should have and it's my fault that my furnace was downI explained to him, NO ONE from Tyler heating provided me a quoteNor, di

I recently had my oil heating system converted to natural gas and this company did a fantastic jobWhat impressed me was how they operate their business in such an efficient manner; everything went exactly as they describedThe office seems to have a process that they must strictly follow because there wasn't a pause or a delay with all of my phone calls and/or questionsThe actual work was done very well and they cleaned my basement better than the way in which they encountered itI am very pleased and clearly would recommend this company; they seem to understand how a business should operate

Hello,I will be very brief with my response; I cannot waste much of my time responding to someone's inaccuracies and lies. Our service technician was dispatched to perform a preventative maintenance on the oil-fired boiler. Upon arrival he asked if there were any issues with the heating
and she said "no". He began doing the maintenance, quickly replaced the oil filter and noticed the burner did not have a strainer installed on the pump (it was removed). He changed the burner's nozzle and blew out the oil line. The boiler was started and inspected. The sight-glass was hard to peer through but while operating, it appeared the 'fire box' was leaning and/or damaged. He had the homeowner come to the basement and showed her the sight-glass. She did ask "What was that loud noise"? Our technician was unaware of any loud noise and claims he didn't drop anything or understand what loud noise this woman was referring too. He began removing the boiler's door to show the firebox's true condition. Once removed, he discovered the entire fire box crumbled and had glowing embers of soot all around and as they fell out of the boiler, they caught on fire. He retrieved and discharged his fire extinguisher to remove all fire and any hot embers. The entire boiler was loaded with soot and in terrible condition. The boiler was 20+ years of age and he recommended getting a new price for a new boiler as well as provided her with a price to repair and clean the system. The boiler was unsafe to operate and shut down as a safety measure. The homeowner did not provide an answer as to what she wanted done. Our technician left the house and within fifteen minutes the homeowners alleged brother phoned our office and began threatening our installation supervisor. He mentioned he would leave negative reviews online along with other demands. Our installation supervisor told him he needed to learn the facts prior to making a decision on the matter. The 'brother' continued with his threats and abusive language and eventually hung up the phone (he hung up on us). Within an hour, we received a terrible online review of our company. This review also consisted of inaccuracies, lies and malicious intent. Within a few hours or less, our installation learned all the facts pertaining to this case. He called *** *** *** and explained the situation. *** *** was polite and understanding. We offered a price to replace the firebox ONLY (not the other repairs originally quoted earlier in the day)! *** *** agreed to the repair and the price of $575. We ordered the part and it was expected to arrive in two days; we expected to make the repair the day it arrived at our office. We offered space heaters for their house and agreed to them. Later that day, we were in route to bring the heaters, called ahead (at 8:PM) and informed *** *** we were on our way. *** *** then refused the space heaters. The following day, *** *** phoned our office and declined the already scheduled repair. We endured a restocking fee, shipping charges and had to alter our service technician's plans to accommodate this repair. Now, we face a bogus Revdex.com claim and will not nor cannot refund the monies we collected for a service we provided. It may be hard to understand that a functioning heating system was shut down after we inspected/worked on it but this does happen more than people are aware. We often find equipment in deplorable and unsafe condition and must be shut down (ask the gas company how often they do it; it happens all the time). Please contact me should you have any questions

Tyler Heating and Air installed a Furnace, AC, and Water Heater in 2015, approxfor $10k In the system broke down due to incorrectly installed exhaust pipes It was fixed but only after multiple days without heat in mid November In June the water heater malfunctioned and is currently not working The day the water heater went out I called Tyler to come and fi it since the heater is still under warranty They agreed to do so only under the condition that they charge a $diagnostic fee and labor They scheduled an appointment to fix the heater, but then canceled that appointment (unbeknownst to me) after I threatened to call another company I waited all afternoon on June for them to arrive and then had to call them twice for them to tell me that no one was coming at all This is currently the 3rd day without hot water in my home This company has hung me out to dry

Tyler Heating came to clean our heating ducts and do an annual check of the heating system Stanley, the tech, was very professional, polite and worked efficiently (completed the job in about an hour) He explained everything that he was going to do prior to and what was completed afterwards He even put on booties when he walked inside our home
We did end up needed additional service but Stanley was not able to locate the part in stock so he will return to install once the part is back in stock

The noise I heard came from the basement and I'm sure of itYour employee from last year said we could get at least another or years out of it with maintenance as well as all the other boiler inspectors who had to come after you guys left it in the shape it wasHad the fire wall been broken he would have noticed that first and showed me before replacing any nozzle since all you have to do was open the little slot to see that and it wasn'tYour tech is lying to not take liabilityA discounted price your tech quoted me for the repair for the fire wall another oil company reputable said that's a huge differenceIt since has been fixed and is operating just fine as it was prior to you guys coming outShame on me because I thought you guys were honest from the having you come out the year beforeWhat I wanted was my $back a contract I cant use nor would I every with this companyWhat pissed me off is the entire time your sales tech was trying to scare me into saying once we do fix this then this is going to go, and then this and then he's lyingOh yeah and then you guys said the guy last year didn' do a good job and this one did when they both work for your company its sad that's how you operateI want my money back! I' so glad I didnt proceed with the work from you guys and my furnace has been fixed but I'm horrified by the experience I had with you guys. Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:

I've been working with Tyler Heating & A/C for about a year and a halfDuring this time, they installed a new *** Infinity A/C and just finished installing a *** tankless water heater in my homeFrom start to finish, the Tyler crew did an amazing jobThey were professional, diligent, clean, and they took the extra time to help me understand how my new systems workAny questions, or small issues that arose were quick answered and resolvedPricing was fair- they weren't the highest, or the lowestIn addition to new installs, they've also been helping maintain my existing (2008) boilerThey even drove miles to my house at 10pm on a week night to resolve our no heat issueand didn't melt my credit card as a resultWhen I go high efficiency, I know who I'll be callingLastly, the whole team is pleasure to deal withFrom initial point of contact, (Robert in sales) to office and scheduling (Cinda and Jenn), to the guys physically installing the product (Donny, Vinny, Jason and Chris)All great people, in my bookHappy to be contacted as a referral*** **

I called Tyler Heating because my air conditioner wasn't workingThey said they fixed it but its making a lot of noise nowAlso, I have cats in my house and the repair man they sent is allergic so they had to send someone elseI wasted half of my day waiting on them to send a new person outI paid the charges but would like a refund for my wasted time and non fixed air conditioner
