We purchased a vehicle from Ubersox recently and we did not received a CarFax and still have not received it several days after as promised. Also, we were told there was probably one extra key but maybe at one of the other locations. I have called and left a voice mail 2-3 times and have not heard/seen anything at all thus far.

Review: Sales person stated that used vehicle had not been in accident, when in fact I had found out several months later that the vehicle had been in an accident.

Vehicle was purchased in December of 2014 and when putting on mudflaps (OEM) in May of 2015 it was determined by me that vehicle was in some type of accident. Upon calling dealer to try to work through the issue (May 15th) I spoke to [redacted] whom had said that dealer was "under new management" since the sale and he indicated that they intend to take care of their customers. [redacted] checked vehicle history and reported that yes vehicle had been in accident, and he would have salesperson ([redacted] Trainer) call me before leaving for evening. I did not receive call back.

On May 16th I went to the dealer (located in Barneveld) and approached [redacted] regarding issue. My adult son was with me on purchase of vehicle and also on my visit back to dealer. I asked [redacted] if he remembered, the sale, he said yes. Asking if he remembered him telling me that vehicle had not been in accident, he said he did not remember saying that. My son asked if he remembered him stating to me that the vehicle was driven by an older gentlemen , [redacted] stated yes. Upon completion of sale in December, [redacted] had offered me "20 dollars out of his pocket" stating that "we don't put any gas in used vehicle sales", but he would give me 20 bucks of his own. I asked if he remembered me refusing to take the 20 bucks because I did not want to take out of someone else s pocket. He stated that yes he remembered that. Yet when I asked if he remembered saying (and my adult son clearly remembers as well) if it had been in an accident, he stated no.

During all of this conversation, I kept it professional and to the point. When [redacted] has asked what I was looking for, I stated I wanted my money back as it is unlawful to not disclose (when customer asks) that a vehicle had been in an accident.

[redacted] stated that was "above his pay-grade" and he would need to get his sales manager involved.

Now to this point, I had spoke with [redacted] (on 5-15), whom seemed very sincere and listened to the concern. Also spoke with [redacted] (above) who's interaction was not negative in tone, but very denying in any responsibility towards resolving,

At this point, [redacted] had spoke to sales manager ([redacted] I believe) and they sat down with me at Johns sales desk. From the start of the conversation I was absolutely amazed at the aggressive tone and nature of [redacted], stating that his sales person is not a liar and that I did not ask for info and that I was lying about it. I work in an industry where on occasion I work with customers to work through issues, and through it all it was clear to me that [redacted] did not have the desire to try to defuse the situation and come to understanding and in fact I believe he was trying to intimidate me into deeper conflict, which I refused to do.

Ultimately [redacted] and [redacted] went behind closed doors after period of time came back and showing me the print out of an auto check and offered me a low "trade in" back on the vehicle. [redacted] stated that "the accident was a minor one and really did not look like a big deal". Ultimately [redacted] walked away from table stating that "this conversation is over".

Ultimately, I got the number of [redacted] boss, [redacted]. I called [redacted] and he was not at office, and I did not want to take time during his time off, we agreed to follow up on Tuesday the 19th. [redacted], like [redacted], was interested in hearing the concern and stated they want to take care of their customers.

Upon calling [redacted] on the 19th, we had a conversation regarding the issue. [redacted] was interested in resolving issue, but at that point my concern was more about informing him about the interaction on May 16th. We closed conversation with [redacted] stating to call him in future if he could do anything. I did not go into a conversation about getting my money back , based on fact that I really did not believe that they would take it to that level.

I believe that Ubersox has higher level managers that seem to want to resolve issues and build a positive relation with the smaller communities surround their dealerships. There certainly is still a miss somewhere within the organization with regard to the local management at the Barneveld location.

Ultimately, after spending more time thinking about it, I would like for them to at a minimum offer me full money back OR full purchase trade in on another vehicle purchase. This vehicle has had few (less than 5k) since purchase as it is not a daily driver.

Additionally I believe that they should provide some additional training for local management or a minimum assess the need for this among their growing dealerships.Desired Settlement: Ultimately, after spending more time thinking about it, I would like for them to at a minimum offer me full money back OR full purchase trade in on another vehicle purchase. This vehicle has had few (less than 5k) since purchase as it is not a daily driver.

Additionally I would like an apology from local store manager regarding his conduct on May 16th.

To Whom It May Concern:Enclosed is the copy of AutoCheck performed for the vehicle in question. An accident was reported on 7/29/11. Please notice the GM Certification on 1/31/14. This clearly states the cleanliness of the vehicle from General Motors standards. [redacted] had asked our salesperson, [redacted], out on the lot if the vehicle had ever been in an accident. [redacted] replied he did not know at that time. We have the tools to discover past history of vehicles and the customer did not ask [redacted] to run a Carfax or AutoCheck.[redacted] then pursued a full refund of the vehicle which he had owned for approximately five months. I offered [redacted] current NADA market trade value for the vehicle. He deemed this value insufficient. I believe the amount requested by [redacted] for the vehicle after five months of ownership is unreasonable.[redacted] called [redacted] a liar seven times, and after the seventh derogatory comment I stated "this conversation is over." I hold my salespersons morality in high regard.[redacted]General Sales Manager

Review: This is part of what this company is refusing to do, they misrepresented the vehicle and did not disclose the vehicle had a rebuilt salvage title, there was no window sticker provided. They took my vehicle in for a partial trade, I agreed to less as I thought at the time that I was getting a good deal, and now the vehicle is gone... they r asking more than the vehicle is worth with a rebuilt title, claiming they did not know it was a rebuilt title, but that the vehicle was sold to me at a discounted rate because its a salvae title rebuild.Desired Settlement: I would like them to finance the vehicle at an appropriate price, and for them to honor the warranty that was sold to me on the vehicle, even if they have to honor it themselves. They r refusing to do such, even if I pay the entire amount agreed to, saying its a 3rd party deal and they do not have to and will not honor it.

This matter has been to all types of levels. From Revdex.com, lawyers and DOT. We and the DOT have attempted to contact her numerous times to get her into resign with us as lien holder. There has been no response. Ubersox Auto Group has done everything by the book on this deal after the accidental misrepresentation (long story, but legitimate). Darci has been given the option to return the vehicle or come in and resign. This case is and should be closed on both sides.

Review: Bought a vehicle on 9/12/15, three days after purchase I noticed some noise in the front suspension of the vehicle. Brought it in for a service visit at their sister dealership in Barneveld, WI. and they stated nothing was wrong nd charged me $71 for that evaluation which I believed should have been free since the vehicle was bought a week and a half earlier. So I had to bring it to my normal mechanic for a second opinion and he found that the vehicle needed brakes, rotors, alignment and strut replacement, this correct evaluation costed $104. Dealership finally agreed to service vehicle at the Platteville dealership and was promised by the general manager they would make things right with the vehicle. They did replace brakes and rotors but still refused to replace struts and alignment which is causing uneven wear on my tires now and I have to take it back to my usual mechanic to get it fixed properly and at my own out of pocket expense.Desired Settlement: Take vehicle back and refund my out of pocket expenses.

Review: I bought a 2013 Dodge Avenger for $13995 on 04-25-2015 first off I had to put air in the tires daily. When I took it in they did replace two of the tires and told me I need to buy two more before winter. However within a couple of months my flashers started coming on on the inside and outside of the car for no reason while driving down the road. took the vehicle back into them and they told me it is an after market remote starter that is the problem and it isn't under warranty. They never told me when they used the remote start as a selling point that it was aftermarket and not under warranty. Also they told me the contract I was buying for extended warranty was for 100,000 miles but that isn't what I was sold. Instead for $2500 I received in the mail a warranty for 24000 miles . I was told they would be repairing the hail damage that was on the car when I bought and once again this is something that didn't happen. Please help I am at ropes end here with them.Desired Settlement: repair the issues the vehicle has and also give the warranty the salesman sold me.

Review: Before winter break (December 2013), I needed an oil change before driving back to my hometown (over 200 miles away). I was serviced at Ubersox on December 6, 2013 for "Lube/Oil/Filter Oil Change". On the drive back, my check engine light came on. I continued driving until I got home, and then called my local mechanic to schedule an appointment on January 17. Their diagnostic check concluded that there was too much oil which caused the excess to back up and clog my solenoid filter, causing the malfunction. They drained the excess oil which filled approximately 2 inches of a gallon milk jug. My mechanic also noted that the drained oil looked "rather dirty" for having in recently changed. I kept the receipts from my mechanic and Ubersox, the milk jug of excess oil, and the damaged filter. When I returned back to Platteville, my school work was rather busy and stressful, so I finally returned to Ubersox on May 14, 2014 at approximately 1:00 pm. When I told the service desk worker (never got his name) my predicament, he said that it was too late to do anything. He is quoted saying, "If you went to McDonald's a week after to tell them they shorted you a cheeseburger, they wouldn't be able to help you, and neither can I." He followed up by talking to the mechanic there to confirm that Ubersox had no problems with oil changes, relaying the message, "we have electronic guns that fill up the correct amount of oil, and no one else has had a problem," "it could be your car's fault, because GMC's are known to have anti-freeze to leak through the gasket into the oil," and "having too much oil would not cause such a problem - it would just get emptied out anyway. And if there was too much oil, your car wouldn't have been able to drive out of the shop." Without any help or reimbursement, I just walked away to avoid any conflict that might arise.Desired Settlement: Mistakes happen. It's when one does not take responsibility for their mistakes that disappoints me. All I ask for is to be reimbursed for the improper oil change and the cost of the solenoid filter.

Good Morning,

Review: My husband had purchased a new vehicle from here, so we decided to go back and get one for me. I had emailed our salesperson explaining our entire situation regarding my husband being off work for 6 weeks and that we were trying to get things back on track and we didn't have the best credit. I received an email that the $1,000 down would be no problem and they knew exactly what we wanted (brand new Jeep) and I explained on my occasions that my current vehicle was negative by at least $7,000 and this salesperson said it's not going to be a problem and we WILL BE APPROVED! They called and said to get there by the end of the month to get the best deals, so my husband called to find out some figures even though income wasn't an issue and he proceeded to tell my husband that they couldn't do it with the negative equity in my car. I have all emails that state we are approved no matter what and that wouldn't be a problem. I wanted to trust these guys as they were very positive and then we get all excited for nothing. You can't run a business like that and due to this, I've turned 2 people away from going there.Desired Settlement: I want it to be explained how this can happen and would be happy to forward ALL emails stating I was guaranteed to be approved to the manager. I don't want to be contacted by phone as what I would say is not nice. Just an email from the manager/owner how they practice this way. I'm ok getting told no, but being told everything is approved until the minute we are about to take our 1 1/2 hour drive is extremely unprofessional.

Response:

We have responded to the customer via e-mail like she requested and are waiting for a response back. As of right now, our salesman state that they were never approved because of the inequity in the trade and would only be approved with a substantial amount of money down.Thank you,[redacted]General ManagerUbersox Auto Group

Review: The purchase of a new Dodge Ram 1500 truck. that after buying the truck found that damage to the truck that included ( dent, cracked paint, rusting metal) had been cover up by a plastic trim piece.Desired Settlement: The understanding was that I was buying a new 2016 dodge Ram 1500 truck. ( not a damaged 2016 dodge truck that would have to go back in to have repairs done. I want what I paid for, a undamaged new 2016 Dodge Ram Truck. This dealerships solution to getting me what I paid for is to fix the truck, trade it back in for the same undamaged truck, plus give them $6000. Are you kidding me!!!!!!! I want what I paid for a new truck it just that simple.

Review: Me and my husband applied for a truck. About two weeks later, I checked my credit report and seen ubersox ran my name 38 times at different bank locations.. 5 times per bank! Each credit inquiry takes a hard hit on my credit. If the bank said no the first time, they are not going to say yes the 5th time!!. I am very upset. Those inquiries are going to stay on my credit for three years. I should be taking them to court! I called and asked them why did they do this, all they said was.... "well we tried to get you a loan". I said but that many times at the same place? No response...Desired Settlement: I would like all of those credit inquiries off my credit report asap!! I would also like to be compensated for this disaster! It don't hurt them, it hurts my name! I was trying to rebuild my credit. Not destroy it!

Review: Have taken the car in several times before for different things they have a limited lifetime powertrain warranty and requires that they do preventative maintenance to keep warranty in place. I took car in for an oil change and tire rotation. I decided to put an x and also scratch oil filter and put an "x" on front driver tire rim to see if they were roatated as I questioned the time before if they had done it. I went in and paid the bill of $49 for oil and tire rotation both marked on bill. I took car home opened the hood and the filter was still marked as I had done it before so filter was NOT changed and I was charged. Also the "X" was still on front driver side rim. So tires were not rotated. I have a picture of this on my phone. It is illegal to charge someone for services not performed! I brought this up and was told by ownwer MIke Ubersox that he has nothing to do with service and he has to take the word of his techinician over mine. I couldnt believe what I heard. I also have three witnesses to this ordeal. They refunded the $49 however how many unsuspecting people are they doing this to.Desired Settlement: I would like the Powertrain company made aware of what they are doing, as this is fraud and a huge intgerity issue. Would like an explaination of what you do and list on your site what they did.

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is [redacted] and I am the Sales and Service Manager at Ubersox Predriven were the alleged fraud was completed. Our service department opens at 7:30 am at which time the technician reports to work but I do not come in till 9:00 am. The customer's car was on the lift when I came into work that morning being worked on. I immediately went over to the sales department and began my day. Later I noticed a customer walking into the service department so I walked over to help out with the billing. He asked if the car was complete. I asked the tech and he replied all he had left to install the oil sticker. I proceeded to bill the customer for services rendered. Later I received a call that he was in our Platteville location claiming we had not completed the work. I immediately confronted my tech, who I might add has nothing to gain by not doing the work, if he had done the work. He explained how he dropped the cover under the car to get to the oil filter, drained the oil, replaced filter, rotated tires and lowered car down to top off fluids. I have never had any reason from past work completed to question my employee. I feel that he is telling the truth. The customer did not once contact me with the issue, if he had I would have instantly put the car back in the air and investigated the complaint. He took the car to Platteville where the work was completed again free of charge and I personally ripped up the check he wrote us to try to keep him satisfied. Again, after working with this tech for the past few months he has not done anything to make me think he did not complete the work. We are one of three Ubersox dealerships and we take pride in everything we do for our customers. We live in a small community and one unhappy customer has a powerful effect on our businesses reputation so we take this accusation very seriously. Effective as of this week every new oil filter installed will be marked with the technicians initials and date installed so we hopefully will not have any more confusion. This case has been closed and remedied within our organization.

Thank You

Sales and Service Manager

Review: purchased a 2007 ford f150 from ubersox contacted [redacted] Sales person whom cell phone number is [redacted] the truck I was originally after was a 2005 blue f150 after getting approval from my bank the sales team lied to me and told me that the truck was sold and that they had the 2007 available that they received as a trade in I called back later that afternoon and spoke to another sales person gave a different name and was told the blue truck is still available . the 2007 king ranch truck had 106,000 miles and they wanted 17,000 for it after hearing the price and already having an approval from the bank I decided against it. their sales manager [redacted] informed me that he could take 2000 off to make the deal taking the vehicle to 15000. I then spoke to the finance manager Aaron johnson who sold me an extended warranty for 2000 stating that if I didn't get the warranty my APR would be 10% and by getting it I could go to 8% after agreeing and purchasing the vehicle it was due to be delivered to my home in galesburg illinois. Sales person [redacted] called and to give me instructions on the delivery and informed me that once I look it over if I have any issues to call him. once the truck arrived to my home I noticed that there was a huge rip in the drivers seat the length of a dollar bill I went to review the pictures that [redacted] sent of the truck and they was a seat cover over the drivers seat hiding the tear I attempted to use the sunroof and noticed it was broken and when I went to use the drivers window it would not roll back up. I then called [redacted] who apoligized and informed me that this would be taken care of. after three days of not hearing anything I called and informed [redacted] the sales manager of what was going on he claimed to be hearing these issues for the first time and instructed me to take the truck to my local dealership and have them send the bill . after doing so I waited and called daily to get a status along with emails being sent. finally today I was able to reach [redacted] whom informed me that I wasn't buying a new truck and that he has other customers and the most he could do is send me a check for $500 the sun roof repair along is $1750. I told him I was not being treated like a value customer and that I will be seeking legal actionDesired Settlement: I would like the sun roof repaired , the seat repaired and the window switch repaired

Response:

We contacted [redacted] and offered a $400 check to be cut to him for his inconveniences on the truck he purchased. Typically a truck of this age (8years) and mileage (120ish thousand) with know safety concerns when it was ran through our shop wouldn't qualify for any type of warranty through our store... Also, it's not typicval that a customer would believe any type of warranty would come with a vehicle of this age and mileage. We explained this to Jason and he wasn't very happy with the conversation. Our dealerships position on this matter is firm and we believe more than enough was offered to this customer, given the circumstances of the vehicle and the perameters of the cutomers budget.[redacted] FurrerGeneral ManagerUbersox Auto Group
