Review: I bought a car from Unique Auto Sales in the beginning of 2015. The car is financed through [redacted]. I lost my job in October of 2015. This has resulted in my payments being behind but I have made the finance company aware of that. Upon last contact with them I told them that I would be making a payment once my husband received his refund check for school (which happened to be TODAY). I am now 2 months behind. Today I get texts from my mother and sister saying that Unique Auto Sales called them. My mother says "Just got a phone call from unique auto sales they say you haven't made a payment in 82 days I asked him not to call me no more". Telling anyone besides the person who owes the debt about a debt is ILLEGAL. I called Unique Auto and ended up speak with the owner and I believe his name is Mike. I questioned why he called my relatives but did not call me or leave a message or anything. I asked if he was aware that talking about my debt to anyone else beside me was illegal. He responds telling me "Well you're 84 days behind and if you paid on time I wouldn't be calling anyone" I told him I'm aware i'm behind and i'm making payment today. I said I asked that you contact me first instead and not share my personal business with people. He said "you bought a car from me, I shouldn't have to call you to pay your bill. You can do what you want but if you have a problem with it then i'll see your [redacted] in court." He then hung up on me. I called back and he picked up the phone and immediately hung it back up. This is SERIOUSLY bad business and I am unable to resolve it with him because he keeps disconnecting my call.Desired Settlement: I understand that references must be provided to the business so that if they are not able to call me they can contact one of my references to be able to reach me. However, it is a violation of the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) to inform anyone else but me that you are calling because I owe. I request that this business DOES NOT contact anyone else BUT ME if the need ever arises again in the future. Please inform them I am seeking litigation for this violation especially because upon discussion, he was blatantly disrespectful, cursing, threatening, and hanging up instead of hearing out my complaint like a respectful business owner and obviously is not taking this as a serious issue.I am sure I am not the only person he has done this to. I will visit every complaint board to discuss these poor, illegal, business practices. Additionally I will be contacting my local news NBC12 "on your side investigators" so that this business will have free publicity.

Review: One hour after driving the car off the lot the car would not start. After two hours it started and the engine light was on and the car began to run sluggish and lost power so when I called to return the truck I was told it was brought as-is and if I returned it he would send it to auction, but bring it in to be fixed so after taking days for them to call me back I took the truck to Nissan dealership and had a diagnostic done and found out the CAT convertor was bad with the left side windshield wiper was broke so while driving the car home it broke down and had to be towed home and the car had not been running for a week. When they found out that I had the truck looked at they refused to repair it and said that was not what was wrong with it and they would not fix it. $8,999 truck, $324 car payment and a $1,600 repair bill to get car fixed.Desired Settlement: Refund or take car back minus the miles or repair the car by Nissan dealership. Pay to have car towed again.

Review: Hello I purchased a [redacted] from Unique auto sales on Midlothian TpK 03/02/2015. They told me to come pick the car up later because they had to put a tracking system on, I went up there later they state that they didn't have the tracking system put on and that when they were driving it lost power. so they called the next day told me it was ready it was ready for pick up so I picked it up drove it, [redacted] called me and told me that I needed to sign more paperwork so I went back up there 03/03 when I got there I told him the car was shaking he told me to drive it a couple of days and if it still does that to bring it back. I was driving it and on 03/06 I lost power and almost got hit I went back up to the dealer told him what was wrong they told me to take it to Power max auto repair because that is who the dealer deals with. Went there after they told me to the owner of Power max told me to bring it back on him on 03/17 it stayed there for a day he stated that it was the transmission and he does not do transmissions so he told me to take it to [redacted] transmission because that is who the dealer works with. Took it there on 03/18 and they still have my truck they keep saying they are waiting on parts. . I had received a call from the finance company and I adv them as too what was going on they didn't not want to put any paperwork in for my loan until they figured out what was going on with my car I had to call them everyday with an update . In the meanwhile the dealer called me on 03/20 adv me to come and sign more paperwork I said for what he said they are switching finance companies he didn't want to deal with [redacted] anymore. So I went up there 03/21 I asked the Sales man [redacted] can I get my money back and what happens If I don't sign the contract he told me to talk to Kirk the finance guy. I spoke to him I said I want my money back he said I could not get it back. New transmission put in truck messing up now motor..I want down pmt backDesired Settlement: I want my down payment back like I requested the following week after I got the car I was not in a contract with a finance company at the time inrequested a refund.....transmission fixed now it the motor...

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I do not accept the response from the dealer the contract states that if im not in a contract that I have allotted time to return the vehicle get full refund of down payment . When I originally requested a refund I was not in a contract the first finance company [redacted] never put the paper work throug then I was asked to fill out more paper work for the new finance company credit acceptance corp. Dealeship stated I could not get a refund therfore I signed the paperwork for CaC inc.

Review: On Saturday February 20, 2016 I purchase a [redacted] from Unique Auto Sales. I paid $1600 down. Included in the price of the car I paid for an extended warranty from a 3rd party vendor which covers any major mechanical problems. On Monday February 22, 2016 after one full day of driving the vehicle the transmission went out. I had to have the car towed to Moore Cadillac on West Broad St. where they confirmed that transmission needed to be replaced. I contacted the dealer concerning this problem and he stated he just had a transfer case put on the vehicle a month prior. So he agreed to pay for the diagnosis fee which I needed in order for my warranty company to do the needed repairs. He did, but he also took possession of the vehicle and took it to another repair shop which he did not give me the name or address.

After calling the dealership the salesman told me Moore's Cadillac wanted too much to fix it so they took it somewhere else. I asked how long before I receive my vehicle back and was told they would contact me. It has now been over 2 weeks, no vehicle, no money, no correspondence. I've already contacted the finance company and was told they would try to mediate the issue. I contacted the warranty company and was told they would not cover any of the claims on this vehicle due to the timing of the mechanical defect. They suspected that dealer knew that the car had preexisting problems. On yesterday March 7, I contacted the dealership to find out a status on the progress of the repairs and was told "they are working on it and if I had a problem with how long I could pay for the repairs myself" and he hung up on me. I called back and he didn't even answer the phone.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a full and quick refund and reimbursement for any rental car fees I incurred while being without a vehicle due.

Review: The first day I got the car it broke down. I put down $500.00 dollars in which I asked him if I could getback.the boss/owner told me no cause he lie to the bank told them I put down $1000.00 dollars and he wanted his 500.00 from me he gave the bank .Unique auto sales had to get the car towed back to the shop which they did they kept the car for 3weeks when I will call them his worker would tell me they working on the car so when I call back the boss answers the phone I ask him when the car would be ready he said my worker been out of work for 3weeks with a toothache and I need to bring him 100.00 before he do anything to the car,so my daughter pick the car up for me and I put it in the shop paid 500.00 to get it fix I have my paperwork and where I got my car fix at said they don't know how this car pass inspection cause the break line wasn't hook up right and front brakes was on wrong and now my 30day tags run out on 7/3 after they had my car this long time they will not give me more time he said when he get his 500.00 dollars and 50.00 more for late fee that's when I can get my plates for me car. I've never been treated like this before . I really do feel like this company needs to be checked into so others won't have to go though what I've been though with this company. Dear Ms. [redacted], Ms. [redacted] purchased a 1999 [redacted] on 6/3/13 and the vehicle was sold "AS IS", please see the buyers guide and bill of sale that is attached to this letter. She also signed the delivery confirmation that states nothing owed or implied and that nothing has been promised to you that has not been put into writing. Please find the invoice from [redacted] date 5/16/13 that shows the vehicle passed a Virginia state inspection, so if she has any issues with the brakes she needs to take it up them.

Ms.[redacted] also signed a promissory note for for $500 that was due on 6/17/13. Now she owes an additional $50 late charges. In bold print it states that her tags are not paid for and will not be given to her until the note is paid in full. I will giver her 5 days from the date of this letter to to pay the note in full or it will be forwarded to my attorney [redacted] for collection and he usually charges around $2,000.00 for these types of cases. Unique Auto Sales cannot and will not be held for any repairs after the vehicle has been sold. I asked Ms.[redacted]'s several times if she had any questions during the delivery of the car and she replied "no, not at all" and thanks us several times for helping her out because she didn't have any other means of getting a ride to work. The owner/boss has stated the car was As Is when the car he sold me broke down less then 3 hours of purchased when I call them his worker told me they will get the car towed back to shop in which they did to fix it and when they realize the car had all these problem the owner didnt want to pay for it.I talk to his worker he told me to bring in 250.00 on 500.00 cause he know I put the car in shop,he would give me more 30day tags because they had the car about 3weeks and when I spoke to boss that was another Lie,as for as State inspection I contact state police.I just never work with Bad Car Dealership like this in my life.I guess this don't bother him cause the bank paid him and his car working.This was just Bad deal I hope No one else have to go through this.

Review: I have been dealing with this company for about a month. I've made my first payment and havent received my tags and the loan company is who I am making my payments through but they are telling me two entirely different things. Im confused and need clarity and help lots. I brought the car as is and it broke down a day after I purchased it. I fixed the car got it back running and now unique is telling me I owe them more money for a down payment. I don't know where this is coming from but there not giving me tags to my vehicle. Review: I purchased a [redacted] from Unique Auto Sales 12/13/13. February 4, 2014 the car broke down. Took the car to a [redacted] dealership. There was a crack in the transfer case. I called the dealership. The sales person told me to call the warranty company. Although the part was on the covered orates portion of the warranty. They said it wasn't covered because of the bolts. The [redacted] dealership also found seized bolts in the exhaust manifold, cracked motor mounts and the right fronts axel sleeve seized. The warranty company said they do not cover rust or bolts. I calked Unique Auto Sales and was told by the salesman that they would check into it. Called back and asked to speak with the [redacted]. The salesman that answered said the [redacted] was at lunch. The salesman I purchased the car from had quit that morning. He suggested I email the [redacted]. No response. I called the [redacted] back. Told him about all the things wrong with the car. He said that that is why there is a warranty. I told him about the warranty not covering rust and bolts. I asked him if he could assist me with getting a different car. He said I can not help you. I asked if the inspected the car. He said that they had. I told him that you sold a car that was rusted and missing bolts. I told him that I would contact the Revdex.com. He hung up the phone. He will not take my calls. I am stuck paying a car note for a car that is falling apart. They were rude and take advantage of women buying vehicles.Desired Settlement: I want my car replaced with a vehicle that has been thoroughly inspected. Same car note.

[redacted] has a service contract thru [redacted] not Unique Auto Sales. That is who she needs to contact concerning the issues with her verlicle. She also singed the buyers order that clearly states in BOLD type "FOR "AS IS" SALE ONLY: I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD "AS IS" WITH ALL FAULTS AI\ID IS NOT COVERED BY ANY DEALER WARRAI\JTY. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE DEALER IS !\JOT REQUIRED TO MAKE ANY REPAIRS AFTER I BUY THIS VEHICLE. I WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR ANY REPIARS THIS VEHICLE WILL NEED."

The car I purchased from Unique Auto was inspected by a [redacted] dealership. Upon inspection, they informed me that the rust caused the screws to break. Unique Auto also knows that screws are now covered by the warranty they provide. I asked Kirk if the under carriage of the [redacted] was inspected. He said yes. Did he knowingly sell a sub par vehicle? I am still making payments on a car that is falling apart. I think it is terrible for them to take advantage of buyers who come to them, thinking they are going to be treated with common decency. I was sold a lemon. They are using their As Is notice to unload this car. It really should say buyer beware. Would they treat their own family this way? If this car was inspected, he should not have even sold it with the rust issues.

I would not recommend this dealership to anyone they will get you into any car you want drive it off the lot it breaks down bought warranty they pay nothing not even 2 weeks I gave the truck back I'm not dealing with that mess and they will not get the rest of deposit
