This review is long overdueWe met Bill Feilen from United Construction in March while he was building a home in Imperial BeachWe needed much renovation to the outside of our home which included wood framing, windows, new outside covering for our fireplace, stucco, and painting of our two story homeHe provided a detailed description of the work to be done, which also included clean-up Despite the delay in rain, the work was completed in a timely manner Bill was very professional, easy to keep in contact with and kept us updated on the project One year later, we are still very pleased with the renovation he and his company completedOur home looks like a new home We highly recommend Bill Feilen and United Construction

United Construction did an excellent job on our remodel and room addition project here in La Mesa His "hands on" attention to the details really helped to achieve a quality job United Construction helped plan our room addition and layout and offered great ideas such as the vaulted ceiling and the electrical layouts which proved to be very convenient now using our house Bill himself was on the job regularly and his crew was courteous and trustworthyThe project was timely, the only delays were on our part as the homeowner trying to make decisions on changes, once we say some of the workBill actually drew up sketches, and built a small model and sizing of doors and windows to help us decide on some changes Bill also had sub contractors such as the plumber and stucco person who we have hired separately since then for other work because of thier quality work and good pricing We are now saving our money to have Bill start a new project for the kitchen remaodel and have no doubt that Bill will do the workHe is the only one we trust in theis crazy marketBe careful out there, because there are rip offs trying to fake being a contractor and some even have licenses that should because of thier shady business practices and poor quality wor, In summary, Unbited Construction was HANDS ON and GOOD QUALITY

United Construction did not meet the basics of the contract he drew up such as; used inferior materials after he was paid for quality material He would not show up for work for days and days even two weeks at once Would not respond to calls, double charged me for work such as, double charged me for patio, for foundation I paid him for a completed deck I got none He cussed at me, he yelled at me, he would throw his telephone, he would turn up his radio so loud I couldn't hear myself think I am a senior citizen and a widow, Christian woman and THIS was how I go treated

Bill (owner of United Construction) remodeled the restroom in my dental practice and did a wonderful jobHe utilized the limited space to the max, used quality materials and did everything in a timely matterWill definitely use him again in future projects, I recommended him highly

I have used United Construction for the past years, since we moved into our present house Bill Feilen and crew have remodeled my kitchen from start to finish United Construction replaced all of our existing sliding doors with new ones that are energy star efficient They have replaced everything for us from new bathroom fixtures, plumbing, electrical, dry walling, repairing existing leaks, heating units, AC tile work and new fencing Bill and his crew are always prompt, professional, and knowledgeable And if at any time I call Bill for our remodeling needs he comes right over (even after hours) to go over plans and optionsWhen I decide to tackle a DIY project and mess it up, I can call United Construction and Bill comes over to repair my mess Bill goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable throughout every phase of repair, construction and remodeling, always getting the job done right! My husband and I have used United Construction for several projects at our home Our projects included a square foot family room addition, master bedroom walk in closet, full bathroom remodel, moving out a wall in living room, patio cover and square foot deck Each project was handled professionally in a quality workmanship manner We were always kept informed of any unexpected and/or uncontrollable delays We have been so pleased with our experiences we have referred United Construction to several friends and family members

We have used United Construction for a few different jobs Bill Feilen is very good at what he does We had a Remodel to our home to convert and add an Income Property 1BR unit We also had a few smaller jobs to our own home His knowledge and expertise was very helpful in making design decisions His workmanship was very clean and we were pleased and satisfied with all the work he did for us

The job was to replace a rickety, old, termite eaten stairway that was the only entrance to my attic apartment. My house is over 100 years old and of the classic "craftsman" style. The final product is not only beautiful, but a safe and secure stairway to a beautiful deck. This has given so much pleasure to me and my family. The addition has been literally life changing. His crew is also very competent, polite, punctual and hard working. I would recommend him and would love to be able to use him again in the future. I became aware of United Construction as they had done work on three other homes in my neighborhood. After obtaining a quote, I had them do a major renovation to my 45 year old home. My experience was so positive, I recommended them to friends on several occasions and also had them perform work on my daughter's home. The workmanship was excellent and performed in a timely manner. Their personnel were congenial and professional. Any changes that occurred during construction were handled in a professional manner at very reasonable prices. Bill did a family room+master room+kitchen for us nine years ago and we were very pleased with his work.
