United Movers Group, Inc. Reviews (23)

Would you please send the copies of the text messages with the driver to [redacted]unitedmoversgroup.com? They were not attached in the initial complaint to the Revdex.com.

First of all, Ms. [redacted] has listed a purchase price and disputed price, which is incorrect because she never moved with us. Secondly, we informed Ms. [redacted] that we cannot service the move for the price that she wants because we are an honest moving company. We will not lie to our customers just to...

make a sale. I would like to apologize if the client didn't receive a call back. Patrick informed the client that he would call her back IF he could do the move for the request price, so apparently there was some type of miscommunication. When Ms. [redacted] called us back and we informed her that we couldn't move her belongings for the requested price, she pulled up our Revdex.com page and demanded that we do it at the cost she was requesting or she would make a review. We believe this is extortion: Posting a complaint to get the move price you want. Again, unfortunately, we cannot service her move at the price she wants. Lastly, all of our phone calls are recorded and are available if you would like to review them.

After reading the complaint, I have to say most of the information is false. Yes, Ms. S[redacted] paid a deposit of $735 to have us move 518 CF of her belongings from Columbus, OH to Beverly, NJ, with a pickup delivery window between June 10, 2017 and June 11, 2017. And yes, after the client gave us...

her inventory of 52 pieces, she was given a Binding Moving Estimate of $2,100. Please see enclosed e-signed Binding Moving Estimate for your reference. The customer states, “My June 11, 2017 move with United Movers Group occurred with no communication from them the before or during to provide a moving time or contact information for my assigned mover.” We spoke with the client on Friday, June 9, 2017, at 4:28 PM EST, and informed her of her pickup date and time. Client also called the day prior (Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 2:10 PM EST), requesting pickup information, and we informed her that we would be calling her the following day to provide her the information. I have enclosed a call log, with dates and times, and also have call recordings of each and every phone call that takes place in our office. They can be available anytime at your request. Client also states that our driver, Ozzy [redacted]), showed up in an unmarked moving truck and without any paperwork or identifying information on him to show that he was employed by United Movers Group. Ozzy showed up in a white moving van with our DOT ([redacted] and MC number (MC-[redacted]) clearly displayed. He also had our moving contracts (Bill of Lading (BOL), Insurance Option Selection, Interstate Revised Written Estimate, Packing Materials, and Post Services Contract Order Form) with him, as does every driverb at every job. Every contract listed above has our company information, address, phone number, DOT # and MC # listed in the top left hand corner. Also, Ozzy is a full-time employee. He is not a subcontractor nor has he ever been. If you need any documents or proof that he is a full-time employee, please let me know what you need. Next, again, when client called us and gave us her inventory list, she had 52 pieces. When we arrived at the location, the client had a 65% increase in items. However, we were only going to charge her 55% more because we know how stressful moving is and items can sometimes be missed or overlooked, when providing an inventory list. If you do the simple math, from the numbers the customer provided, you will see the percentages that I’m providing are correct. Customer is aware of our cancellation policy, which is clearly listed on the e-signed Binding Moving Estimate. After sending a driver and helpers to the location, fuel costs, materials, labor costs, and missing the opportunity to move another client during this time slot, we lost much more than the client’s deposit. If you have any further questions or concerns regarding this matter, please feel free to contact us anytime.   Sincerely,     Nicole D[redacted] President, United Movers Group, Inc.
