Universal Plumbing & Sewer

This company exploit people by charging very high price. For a simple 2 minutes leaky faucet repair in my home, they charged $250!!!

Steven was Field Service Rep with Universal Plumbing. He was very personable, efficient, and knowledgeable of the work to be done. Two pipe replacements and installation of a garbage disposal. For the amount of work the price was reasonable. I would recommend him and have him back for further work for sure. The reason that I rate 4 versus 5 stars is that I responded both in writing and verbal to Universal with specifics of statement of work, yet Steven was unaware of the scope when he arrived, it had not been fully communicated.

Jonah and Paul of Universal Plumbing have provided excellent efficient service in helping complete an earlier project that was delay by our township requirements. I would definitely recommend this company.

Called Universal when we realized we had a problem with the basement drain. The technician, Jonah was extremely helpful. He had to come out twice only to find I have a broken pipe. He did not do any unnecessary work and charged me fairly. He was very polite and informative. I would highly recommend Universal Plumbing and Sewer (Clinton Twp MI) to anyone.

Great job. Mark was very nice, profession and explained everything. The job was complicated but he finished it and I am very happy with my new dishwasher. This is the 4 time I hired this company, 3 times Mark was the serviceman. He is very good.

Steven V. was our field tech and arrived promptly. He was able to diagnose the problem and do the necessary repair in no time.

Universal Plumbing & Sewer did an outstanding job on installing a gas line to a vent free gas heater. All done in 1 day. I would definitely call for their services again.

These guys are the best - I had an excavation done 8 months ago and was very concerned when the top-fill suddenly subsided after a heavy rain, but Joey H came out and scoped the line for me, explaining to me how the work was done and demonstrating how the flow was being properly directed through the line right to the clay tap. This put my mind at ease, and, he did this follow-up inspection for free as a customer service after obtaining the approval of the owner.
(I should add that the original work itself was done at the most competitive market rate after getting several quotes. I will continue to recommend Universal to my own clients when they need a professional!)

Today my basement flooded and I called Universal Plumbing & Sewer. They sent out a young man named Joey H. . He got the job done in no time at all and gave us a lot of helpful tips. I would use this company again. I hope all their employees are as nice and helpful as he was.

I am very please with my service. I had a kitchen faucet installed. Adam was very friendly. He was prompt. Adam worked very neatly. I would definitely use again!

I had a backup in my sewer line and needed it snaked out I called Universal Plumbing & Sewer, Inc and they sent out Joey he was nice and got the job done and the price was very good I will hire them again if I have any plumbing issues

joey H was great came right out and fixed my basement drains very nice guy and did a great job he was very clean made no mess I he explained everything to me and the price was great I highly recamend them to everyone

Joey from Universal did a fantastic job of helping us on New Year's Eve. Bad time to have your basement drains back up; couldn't find anyone to come out after several calls. Universal answered the phone with a real person, ETA 45 minutes, came in 30.
Unclogged the sewer and made recommendations for future prevention. Although I paid for emergency service, I think it is appropriate and fair for what I got, and I would do it again if needed. Joey was polite, smart, hardworking and a pleasure to meet.
I can't say enough great things about this experience, which could have been much worse. I would recommend Universal to my family (already have) and especially Joey.
He is an asset to the company and represents them very well.

Joey H. did a fantastic Job on our Install - very professional and polite. Also willing to answer questions - I would hire him again. Also his apprentice helper Chip was a pleasure to deal with and should have a future in the plumbing business.

We had a hose that cracked under our sink, and we had a real mess to clean up in the kitchen and the basement. The person I talked to on the phone was very professional and gave me an appointment for the next day. Paul came at the appointed time and took care of our problem in a very timely fashion. All is well and we are very satisfied.

This is a follow-up to my initial review on 11/15/17 which was for the initial work scope assessment the previous week. On the days of 11/14 and 11/17, the actual tasks at hand were completed. The initial part of the project being the sump line inspection and clean out via the hydro-jet, which was successful in resolving the blockage as was originally estimated by the ability to partially flow, but not a guaranteed solution, as was originally discussed with me. The second part was repairing the line breakage at the exit of the house between ground level and the 90 at the bottom to the horizontal run. The overall extent of this damage was unknown until the camera / hydro-jet portion of the project was completed. This part of the job was completed on 11/17 at which time the overall job was completed.

Overall, Joey H. and his team performed the tasks very satisfactory and within the time estimates provided. Discussions as to explaining the tasks at hand, risks, and rough estimates of potential what-ifs were all reviewed during the initial work scope review, and then ongoing into the second and completion phase of the job. Timeliness, given the time of year, was taken into consideration and met through the completion of the job.

Even though I was concerned with going into this project from the onset, I was very pleased and comfortable throughout the completion. I attribute this to the willingness of Universal's Joey H. to convey his knowledge based on his experience, inform me of the tasks and risks, and keeping me advised of his findings and solutions to resolve the matter. Based on this, I would highly recommend Universal, and intend to utilize them in the future should plumbing needs arise.
