Used this company to list my timeshare points for rentI would recommend making sure you have a renters agreement after you make the booking and are paid for the rental I did this just to have peace of mind despite the resort requiring a credit card from the guestsEverything worked out as planned, will definitely use again

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Universal Resorts Exchange knowingly and willfully did not fulfilled its obligations in renting my timeshareAlthough your contract states that URE does not represent that it has any specific buyers/renters for my unit, [redacted] sales pitch led me to believe that he had renters waiting in line to rent my timeshare [redacted] 's main concern was if I wanted to rent my timeshare , how many points did I have available and how he could rent my timeshare within daysThere was no mention of availability , expiration dates or alleged advertising on various search engines, network sites or partnering agentsAll the advertising language in your contract was never mentioned as a factor in finding a renter for my timeshareIn fact, I was so impressed with the sales pitch that I did not hesitate to send a check to you to start the process When [redacted] verbally stated that he had customers waiting in line to rent my timeshare it was contradictory to your contractOnce URE received my check and cashed it, that's when URE hid behind its written contractThis is my last attempt to resolve this allegation at this levelPlease be advised that I will consider litigating this allegation up to and including court action.Regards, [redacted]

Mr. [redacted] entered into a contact with our company for us to market his timeshare property and or RCI points affiliated with [redacted] for rent on January 28, 2014. Our company has been actively marketing his property as per our contract since that date. Our... [redacted] has been in contact with Mr. [redacted] on 4 separate occasions and have presented three different rental offers to him on two different occasions. Further per our contract we DO NOT require our clients to contact us every 6 months or 180 days. Our marketing programs are based on 90 day intervals and we have been continuing to market you property since bringing it on for the advertising. The following dates and notes outline our correspondence with Mr. [redacted] . On February 22, 2014 Mr. [redacted] contacted our office to get a update on the property. Mr. [redacted] was informed that there was no activity on the marketing of his property yet but it was still early in the process and if he did not receive offers within 90 days, our company, Universal Resort Exchange would continue marketing his property and we would pay all advertising expenses until he does receive acceptable offers. On May 6, 2014 Mr. [redacted] contacted our [redacted] to find out how the marketing was progressing. Mr. [redacted] was upset that the offers were taking longer than expected and inquired about the marketing after 90 days. Mr. [redacted] was informed that we were paying for all of the marketing costs and would continue to work on bringing him rental offers for his timeshare and or points. The [redacted] confirmed with Mr. [redacted] that he currently had 170,000 RCI points and could be used in any location. Our company understands and acknowledges that this contact was taking longer to fulfill than initially expected and as a courtesy for this Mr. [redacted] 's listing was also upgraded to our featured listing to expedite bringing him offers. On June 17, 2014 Mr. [redacted] was contacted by our [redacted] because we received a rental offer on his property. The offer was for $1,200 and were for the following JUly 26, 2014 - August 2, 2014 at Coral Sands Resort in a 3 Bedroom unit. A copy of this offer can be provided and was submitted to our company through our website as a result of our marketing. Proof of these offers can also be provided upon request ( we will not copy and past due to personal contact information of the interested parties). On December 17, 2014 Mr. [redacted] contacted our [redacted] to find out if there were any other offers on his property. Mr. [redacted] was informed we did not have any more offers for his property at [redacted] *** but we did have 2 offers for him for a rental in *** [redacted] for the following. Renters were looking for the last two weeks of January 2015 in the [redacted] , [redacted] area. Mr. [redacted] was instructed to contact RCI and check on availability and book the weeks if they were available with his RCI points. After checking with RCI, Mr. [redacted] informed us there was no availability at that time in the [redacted] area. Proof of these offers can also be provided upon request ( we will not copy and past due to personal contact information of the interested parties). Our company has been in contact with Mr. [redacted] through out the entire length of our contacts and have provided multiple offers to him. It is out of our companies control if the time that is being requested by renters is not available through his resort or his bank and exchange company. However, per our contract we will continue to market Mr. [redacted] 's property for the rentals until further notified or requested to stop. Universal Resort Exchange understands and acknowledges that it did take longer than initially stated to bring renal offers to Mr. [redacted] for his property but by no means was Mr. scammed. It also troubles our company that despite us doing everything we could to fulfill our obligation to Mr. [redacted] which included, upgrading his property to our featured listing program, paying all marketing expenses beyond the 90 days and continuing to aggressively market his listing (WHICH RESULTED IN BRINGING Mr. [redacted] multiple rental offers, which was was stated to him that we would do both verbally and per our contacts) That a complain against our company was still filed. It is completely out of our control if the resorts are fully booked. Again despite this we will continue to market Mr. [redacted] 's property per our contract. We would also encourage Mr. [redacted] to contact our [redacted] so we can continue to work with him and bring additional offers to him. Universal Resort Exchange [redacted]

I had a great experience with Universal Resort ExchangeThey helped me with every detail of my tripI will definitely use them on my next vacation and time share!!

Before I signed up with Universal, I was told my time share would sell within daysWell, it has been almost a year and I have not had one offer
Every time I call to leave a voice message, their outgoing says it will contact me within one business dayNow I truly feel they are ignoring the phone calls I have made to them in the past two monthsThe last time I spoke to an actual human was four months ago and they stated they will move me to their "premium" list at no cost to me since it is taking so long to sell
Guess what...still no offers and still no response

Mr***,
We most definitely are interested in bringing you offers for the rental of the property and will do everything within reason to come to a mutual resolution and provide you with the services that you paid our company to doWe do have a few questions and would like to address your concerns appropriatelyHave you listed your property with another company? We are confused as to where the days that you mentioned came from in your original complaint As well as the date stated on the complaint of February 2nd, 2014, your contracts reflect a signature date of January 28, which is when the marketing began
We are not disputing the fact that you are a client with us, we just want to make sure that there is not any confusion between what our company has told you and what someone else you may have paid to list your property has said
Your Concern Of Notifying Us Every days Regarding The Marketing
We require our clients to contact us every days for the following reasonsTo make sure all contact information is current and correct
To confirm the amount of points or weeks that are available as this fluctuates from owner to owner and the property, we are marketing needs to reflect the most current informationWe do have clients that end up using some or all of their points or have let friends/family use the weeks therefore we will know exactly how many points and what weeks we should be marketing If we do not have accurate information, typically there will be issues with booking your weeks with offersYour Property Was Inactive
Your property was never inactive and has been listed on our website and marketed since January 28, The correspondence dates were all within days of each other and your property was upgraded to our featured listing program which stays active and does not require notificationYou listed your property on January 28, upon receipt of signed marketing agreementsOn April 22, 2014, we informed you that we were marketing the property, but had not offers as of yet ( Property was still active inside days )
On May 6, 2014, we spoke with you again regarding the rental of your points and you expressed your frustration at the time that it was taking too long to bring you offersIn order to expedite the process we upgraded you to the featured listing program at no additional expense and confirmed you had 170,RCI Points (Property was still active as previous update was on April 22)
On June 7, 2014, we contacted you with an offer that resulted from our marketing for Week at $1,dollars for the dates of, July 26-Aug for *** *** in *** *** (Property was still active)
On December 17, 2014, we contacted you with offers regarding multiple rental weeks for the last two weeks in January in *** **( Property is still active )
Property is still active and can viewed at ***
Concern About Availability With RCI and Expiring Points
We understand you are concerned that all offers that were made on your property were asking for availability within a 4-week period however, we do not know and cannot control what offers are made on your property and for when Your offers were also for different size units and in different locations There is no way our company would or could know what RCI or any resorts availability is currently of for future dates We have had RCI clients book vacations within days and we do understand your frustration, but we cannot be responsible for lack of availability at your resort or through your exchange companyWe will be more than willing to start marketing your property for the rentals for dates that are further out Our company was making an attempt to get your weeks booked and rented as soon as possible as you expressed, you were unhappy with the length of time that it was taking to receive offer, in addition to points expiring as you mentioned We were never provided with any dates for the expiration of your points and would like to request this information so we can execute a effective plan of action and resolutionUniversal Resorts Exchange Plan of Action
Universal Resort Exchange will continue to list your property on our website per our contract that was entered and agreed upon on January 28, 2014.
We would like to work with you on your current point total so that Universal Resort Exchange can market your points specifically for specified dates that we would like to determine with you Doing this will drastically reduce the issue of availability at the resort or your exchange company but again there is no way for us to know the availability of any resort or exchange company in advanceWe hope that you find this plan of action acceptable, as we cannot issue a refund for the service being we have been actively marketing your property and have brought you multiple offers WE WILL CONTINUE TO WORK FOR YOU AND BRING YOU ADDITIONAL OFFERS FOR FUTURE DATESRegards,

We have not received one offer in over a year THEY DO NOT return phone calls
STAY AWAY, DON'T PAY

Mr***,
We apologize for the miss spelling of your name but we do have it correct on your contractsThe only reason we said, we thought you had us confused with another company is in your initial complaint,You first said you payed us $and then you paid us $1,We were simply going off of the information provided by you We never charged you $for our marketing services nor did we understand where that figure came from., hence our confusion
Mr***, we spoke with your wife on the following dates 6/10/giving her a update, on 7/21/she spoke with Customer Service and mentioned she had left a message for ***, who was informed was not in the office and to contact customer service with all questions, on 8/25/we spoke with your wife again giving her a update on the status of the marketingWe also made adjustments to the listing and we as well emailed her a recap of the conversation We have attached a print up of the email itself since you are disputing we never spoke or returned a phone call to you or your wife
We do understand your frustration but our customer service department has been in contact and has spoken with your wife on several occasionsWe are still marketing your property and will continue to do so until you do receive acceptable offers per our contracts and guarantees that you signed and agreed to.
Our ultimate goal is to bring offers to this client and will continue to work diligently on this propertyWe will send all offers that are made on the property once they are receivedWe will will fulfill our obligations per our contracts to the client
Sincerely

Universal Resort exchange helped me get out of my timeshare at *** *** *** in Kissimmee FlI was getting really frustrated with the timeshareMy husband and I bought it last year so it would force us to take a vacationWell we tried booking it for our family to go to California, Hawaii and of course our home base at *** *** and we were unsuccessful on many occasions and it made me want to scream! I didn't know what to doI went online and found Universal Resort Exchange and finally someone was able to help meThank you so much for making our nightmare endWe are now timeshare free and I will never do that again! Yes we definitely recommend this company

Thank you so much for your companies guidance and expertise My husband and I are relatively new owners and were completely clueless on how to use our ownership

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: Universal Resorts Exchange was correct about one thing, their contract was a day interval and not a months or days as I had previously stated in my complaintIn the past year, I had conversation with Universal Resort Exchange four times and, I had to initiate of those phone callsThe contract stated that they would advertise my timeshare for a period of days and, after that I would have to notify them if I wanted the advertising to continueWhen I called *** ***, they informed me that the contract would be placed in an inactive status until I called themUniversal Resort Exchange knew my timeshare had not been rented so why was there a need for me to call and remind them of the statusAfter all I am the one who paid URE $to advertise my timeshareUniversal Resort Exchange was very familiar with RCI practices and, they knew there was no way a client or myself could get into a rental property within a small window of 4-weeksAll of the rental offers that they sent to me was approximately days before check inI don't think URE is interested in renting my timeshare because they are still trying to solicit new clients while old clients are still waiting for their timeshare to be rentedSince signing into contract with URE and waiting for them to rent my timeshare, I have lost 85,points which equates to several weeks of vacation that I could have usedThere are more negative than positive complaints about this company and, I truly feel that I have been scammedI am requesting a full refund plus interest

Excellent Company!!!! I listed timeshares with them for rental and the saleThey handled the advertising and we were also provided with a rental kit that included letters notifying our Resort and Exchange Company of our intentions as well as a sublease between myself and the renter We had bad experiences in the past trying to rent our timeshare and although their services are a bit pricey, not having the stress of having to find renters and having documents provided to protect us and gave us piece of mind Thanks Again!!!!"

Used this company to list my timeshare points for rent. I would recommend making sure you have a renters agreement after you make the booking and are paid for the rental. I did this just to have peace of mind despite the resort requiring a credit card from the guests. Everything worked out as planned, will definitely use again.

My parent's had a timeshare in Weston FL for many years, but as they got older they were unable to use it as often. After the maintenance fees kept climbing despite the fact my parent's were vacationing less frequently due to health issues, I decided to help them find a way out of it. After several failed attempts to sell it through Craigslist and eBay, I did some research and found Universal Resort Exchange. I decided to move forward with the company after speaking with Mr. [redacted]. He was extremely professional and thorough. On top of the fact he was able to sell the property quicker than I imagined, he treated my parent's with the dignity and respect they deserve. I recommend this company, but more importantly Mr. [redacted].

Complaint:[redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I do not have this business confused with another. I am outraged with all of this. I am in business for myself, and if I acted like this I would be out of business. First these people do not even have the correct spelling of my name. Also. isn't it funny as soon as I file a complaint somebody attempts to return my phone call. My wife has tried to contact [redacted] [redacted]) numerous times with no luck. Either he was out, just left or no answer at all. I did not return a phone call that they made to me yesterday for two reasons: I got home from work after the hour they said they would be in the office and there would have been no sense arguing over this with them. My wife has written down that they said a 90 day guarantee from these people. Why would we have thrown that kind of money at something if there was not a guarantee? In my business, it's common courtesy to give updates or suggestions, these people never once called and suggested or gave us any updates on what was going on. At one point I thought they fell off the face of the earth. Their should be a law or some kind of example should be made of these types of businesses and their practices. Like I stated before we are out 1000.00 which I have taken right from my credit card statement on 4/15/14.
Regards,
[redacted]

Our representative told us it could take 60-90 days for us to receive offers on our timeshare. It was definitely more around 90 days. The title company we chose in our home town delayed it even longer but did complete everything. I would recommend finding a title company that does timeshares routinely.

On April 11, 2014, [redacted] and [redacted] retained our marketing company to advertise their timeshare for the rental and sale. We have been advertising their timeshare  ([redacted] [redacted] ) and can be seen on our website at www.urexchangeonline.com. They signed our marketing agreements ,...

agreeing to the terms and conditions and acknowledging the marketing of their property. No where in our contract does it state we are going to "sell" their timeshare in 90 days.  We market their timeshare for the rental/resale, as we are strictly a advertising company. The customer stated in the complaint they paid us $800 dollars to advertise their timeshare but it goes on to mention the fee was $1,000 and they have not received any correspondence or returned calls from our company. I believe the client has our company confused with another company that they hired.  We charge a thousand dollars for our services and we have spoken with the clients on 3 separate occasions since they hired our company to advertise their timeshare. Emailed the client on 8/25/14 and left a message returning a call to Mr. [redacted] at 2:45 pm.

On 6/14/14
We informed the client that their had been some activity but no formal offers were made on their ad.

7/21/14
We informed client that we were still marketing the property and to call customer service with any questions. We did renew the listing for another 90 days at no additional charge per our contract.

8/25/14
We spoke with Mrs. [redacted], who was upset that their timeshare had not sold yet.  We went over sales prices, upgraded them to our featured listing program and emailed them [redacted])  a recap of the conversation and services we have provided. We have documentation of this email and can be provided if necessary.

10/6/2014
Mr. [redacted] left a message this morning before our offices, were open and we returned the call at 2:54 pm and their was no answer. We left a voicemail and the client has still not called back or emailed us.

Universal Resort Exchange has and is still fulfilling our advertising obligation as stated in the contract. We have spoken to the customer on 4 separate occasions and been in correspondence via email and left a voicemail today.

Again, the client's complaint states they paid us $800 and has received no services or call backs from our company, which is completely false. The customer may have us confused with another company as we have been in correspondence, our fulfilling our obligations per the contracts they signed and do not charge $800 for our services.

Phone records documenting the calls and email correspondence can be provided if necessary to refute clients statement of we have not returned a phone call or been in contact with the customer.

Regards,
