Universal Resort Exchange Reviews (26)

Thank you for the helping me with my timeshare. Rental was easy, overall good experience and would recommend.

This company contacted me regarding a offer to rent my timeshare. They advised me I would receive my 2 week rental payment within 90 days. They advised the necessary payment I needed to send was to cover insurance cost, etc. My 90 days past so I contacted them to find out where my payment was......???? Their response was that I never received an offer from them! Then how & why did I sign a contract? They promise a refund within 10 days of reviewing the contract. Since signing the contract electronically, I have been contacting them for a copy I NEVER received. Well, out of the blue, now that the contract has expired, I just received a copy. Wow, these people are a business?
These people are MISREPRSENTING THEIR SERVICES ADVERTISED! They have violated my rights and should be reviewed by the Attorney General

Universal resort exchange helped me rent out my timeshare in New Jersey. I highly reccomend this company.

I was contacted by Universal Resort Exchange about renting out some of my unused time. I was interested since I had time that was going to expire. I was very hesitant at first cause of the fee, but at the end of the day they fulfilled there end of the bargain. Only problem I had was trying to find availability at the resort which is always a headache. After that everything went accordingly. Thx [redacted].

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Universal Resorts Exchange knowingly and willfully did  not fulfilled its obligations in renting my timeshare. Although your contract states that URE does not represent that it has any specific buyers/renters for my unit, [redacted] sales pitch led me to believe that he had renters waiting in line to rent my timeshare.  [redacted]'s main concern was if I wanted to rent my timeshare , how many points did I have available and how he could rent my timeshare within 90 days. There was no mention of availability , expiration dates or alleged advertising on various search engines, network sites or partnering agents. All the advertising language in your contract was never mentioned as a factor in finding a renter for my timeshare. In fact, I was so impressed with the sales pitch that I did not hesitate to send a check to you to start the process.  When [redacted] verbally stated that he had customers waiting in line to rent my timeshare it was contradictory to your contract. Once URE received my check and cashed it, that's when URE hid behind its written contract. This is my last attempt to resolve this allegation at this level. Please be advised that I will consider litigating this allegation up to and including court action.Regards,
[redacted]

Mr. [redacted] entered into a contact with our company for us to market his timeshare property and or RCI points affiliated with [redacted] for rent on January  28, 2014.  Our company has been actively marketing his property as per our contract since that date.  Our...

[redacted] has been in contact with Mr. [redacted] on 4 separate occasions and have presented three different rental offers to him on two different occasions.  Further per our contract we DO NOT require our clients to contact us every 6 months or 180 days. Our marketing programs are based on 90 day intervals and we have been continuing to market you property since bringing it on for the advertising.  The following dates and notes outline our correspondence with Mr. [redacted].
On February 22, 2014 Mr. [redacted] contacted our office to get a update on the property.  Mr. [redacted] was informed that there was no activity on the marketing of his property yet but it was still early in the process and if he did not receive offers within 90 days, our company, Universal Resort Exchange would continue marketing his property and we would pay all advertising expenses until he does receive acceptable offers.
On May 6, 2014 Mr. [redacted] contacted our [redacted] to find out how the marketing was progressing.  Mr. [redacted] was upset that the offers were taking longer than expected and inquired about the marketing after 90 days.  Mr. [redacted] was informed that we were paying for all of the marketing costs and would continue to work on bringing him rental offers for his timeshare and or points.  The [redacted] confirmed with Mr. [redacted] that he currently had 170,000 RCI points and could be used in any location.  Our company understands and acknowledges that this contact was taking longer to fulfill than initially expected and as a courtesy for this  Mr. [redacted]'s listing was also upgraded to our featured listing to expedite bringing him offers.
On June 17, 2014 Mr. [redacted] was contacted by our [redacted] because we received a rental offer on his property.  The offer was for $1,200 and were for the following  JUly 26, 2014 - August 2, 2014 at Coral Sands Resort in a 3 Bedroom unit. A copy of this offer can be provided and was submitted to our company through our website as a result of our marketing.  Proof of these offers can also be provided upon request ( we will not copy and past due to personal contact information of the interested parties).
On December 17, 2014 Mr. [redacted] contacted our [redacted] to find out if there were any other offers on his property.  Mr. [redacted] was informed we did not have any more offers for his property at [redacted] but we did have 2 offers for him for a rental in [redacted] [redacted] for the following. Renters were looking for the last two weeks of January 2015 in the [redacted] area.  Mr. [redacted] was instructed to contact RCI and check on availability and book the weeks if they were available with his RCI points.  After checking with RCI, Mr. [redacted] informed us there was no availability at that time in the [redacted] area. Proof of these offers can also be provided upon request ( we will not copy and past due to personal contact information of the interested parties).
Our company has been in contact with Mr. [redacted] through out the entire length of our contacts and have provided multiple offers to him.  It is out of our companies control if the time that is being requested by renters is not available through his resort or his bank and exchange company. However, per our contract we will continue to market Mr. [redacted]'s property for the rentals until further notified or requested to stop.
Universal Resort Exchange understands and acknowledges that it did take longer than initially stated to bring renal offers to Mr. [redacted] for his property but by no means was Mr. scammed.  It also troubles our company that despite us doing everything we could to fulfill our obligation to Mr. [redacted] which included, upgrading his property to our featured listing program, paying all marketing expenses beyond the 90 days and continuing to aggressively market his listing (WHICH RESULTED IN BRINGING Mr. [redacted] multiple rental offers, which was was stated to him that we would do both verbally and per our contacts) That a complain against our company was still filed. It is completely out of our control if the resorts are fully booked.  Again despite this we will continue to market Mr. [redacted]'s property per our contract.
We would also encourage Mr. [redacted] to contact our [redacted] so we can continue to work with him and bring additional offers to him.
