I contacted [redacted] to address the broken disc that was in a DVD set he purchased from PBS. I informed him that we called PBS to see what we could do for him and they asked that [redacted] call them directly. He said he did call them but never received any resolution from them. I did contact...

our buyers at Acorn who agreed that we will send [redacted] the disc he needs. I explained that we acquired Acorn Sept. 1 2017 after he purchased the set from PBS which is why we thought PBS should handle the situation. I apologized for any inconvenience or frustration this has caused.

I spoke with Ms. [redacted] who was under the impression that because she used a 10% off discount on her initial Book A Month orders that that same 10% discount would automatically come off all her Book A Month orders for the next 12 months. I explained these orders are auto filled and our system can not automatically apply the 10% off each order for the next 12 months. I proceeded to explain that I could give her the 10% off each order in one lump sum of $16.38 which is 10% off the purchase price of $163.83. She agreed to that and the amounts were credited back to the credit card used on the four orders. I apologized for the bad customer service she received previously when trying to speak to someone to straighten this issue out and gave her my direct contact information should she need anything else in the future.

I would like to first apologize for the delay in getting the refund to Ms. Richter. A refund check was mailed out on 1/31/2016 in the amount of $19.95 for the merchandise. A second refund will mail out on 2/14/2017 in the amount of $8.99 for the shipping paid on the original order....

Again we are sorry for the delay.

We have checked the order and see the at it arrived on December 22. As token of apology for the order being delayed we have refunded the shipping amount of $8.99.

This is in response to the customer complaint by Ms[redacted]. Ms[redacted] states that in December of 2016 she called our company to place an order and that there was never a mention of the VIP Insider service or charge. Ms[redacted] in fact agreed to the program when she placed an order on our web...

site not when she called in to order. Her original order was placed on the web and when it did not ship out Rush Delivery because the items were on backorder she called us. The original order was canceled and she placed a new order with our phone rep. When her web order was canceled it does not cancel the VIP membership that she agreed to. Ms[redacted] would have received an email thanking her for joining and at that time she could have called VIP Insider to cancel. Ms[redacted] states that she was "surprised that this was automatically done when she placed the order". It is not automatically done. The customer, after they have read through all the information and agree to the program, clicks a box to join. The [redacted] is a separate company of which we, and numerous other retailers, are a part of. It is a rebate program. It appears that Ms[redacted] has already called the VIP Insider and canceled the program and will be refunded. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused Ms[redacted].

Since the filing of this complaint earlier this morning I have received a reply from Signals indicating that they are going to refund the shipping charges.
