We rebuilt Mr [redacted] transmission on his [redacted] but his vehicle has multiple problems First of all his vehicle had an electrical problem The dashboard had several lights on:check engine light, ABS light, turn signal lights on permanently, wipers would not turn off as soon as you turn the vehicle on The two side mirrors were broken off You can definitely tell that this car is not taken care of and he thinks that fixing the transmission will repair all his problems That is impossible The parts for this type of vehicle are very expensive He mentioned that we replaced his cluster, something that we would NEVER do In those types of cars you can't just replace the cluster because if you do the car will not start You would have to take the car to the dealership and have it reprogrammed He is making excuses and wants his car to be completely fixed with just one repair One repair has nothing to do with the other

I would like to reply with that is procedure We offer a free diagnosis to see if there are any repairs that could be done with the transmission externally to fix the issue like linkage, solenoids, sensors, leaks due to pan gasket We road test the vehicle to see if we feel any hard part damage Once we conclude our external diagnosis if the problem cant be repaired then we advise the customer that the problem is inside the transmission and we need to do a RDI - Remove Dismantle and Inspect of the transmission for a small fee usually $ With this diagnosis we remove the transmission out of the car, inspect all parts within the transmissionThis normally takes a total of 5-hours to do Then we supply the customer the amount to repair based upon what parts are damaged and any updates that need to be done for that particular transmission If the customer agrees with the repair, we go ahead and fix it between 2-days, if the customer decides not to fix it we then give them an option to re-install the transmission for another $because it will take another 5-hours to put it back together and install plus fluid, however there is no guarantee it will work the same as it arrived because there are about 100-seals, o'rings and gaskets within the transmission that pop off, break, or melt into the part while disassemble or placing the transmission parts in a box and the vehicle will need to be towed away Repairing a transmission is not like a simple task and not everyone can do it They are trained technicians that work on transmissions and [redacted] , please [redacted] and you will see what we did was protocol Revdex.com also has this procedure listed on there website about RDI's

We did do the work stated by the customer We do not have the equipment to do a wheel alignment Once the vehicle was completely paid for we were going to tell him that he needs to get it done He has not yet paid in full and we did him the favor in allowing him to make payments while the vehicle stays at our shop and this is how he repays us He said it, the car was only test driven for miles and there is no way if they were new tires that should happen I will pay for the two new tires only if he pays me $a day for storage from the first day the car was completed

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] Regards, It does not surprise me of the inaccurate response by the business and its denialFirst of all I did not call two weeks priorI actually drove to his locationHe mentioned that due to the holiday coming up that it would be faster if I came after the holidayMrLuis also mentioned something that my car sat for three months and that was a contributing factor and by my car coming from up north that was a contributing factor all of that is baloneyYes I drove over miles in that [redacted] which now only has 101,miles on it in may It made the trip fine and I had been driving it for over one year and a half here in Houston without any problemsThe brakes went out just three months agoI then saved money to be able to repair brakes in that three month period that it satAlso during that three month period I had a new Brake Master Cylinder put onThe steering was still working then also and If necessary I can provide mechanic info to verify thatMy steering problem happened and was noticed as soon as I pulled off his lotI have military insurance which covers road hazard and the tow company that towed the car to Universal transmission shop never mentioned steering problems to load up on to the bedI can provide information from that company as wellAs far as he not giving me my old parts I asked for them in advance that he put in my carIf the old parts were that bad wouldn't a legitimate and honest shop show the customer the old parts to let them know why they are replacing themEspecially if they claim they give the best service as he did to meHe mentioned something that I said it was sitting for three months and I said there was no rushI am confused as to what he is implyingHe told me it was a three hour jobI waited from 1000am or so until they closed at the storeI called back on Tuesday twice and left a message which they never returned I then drove up there on wendsday at noon to check on my carDoes these actions appear to be the one of someone who says there is no rush or of someone who wants the shop and mrluis to do what he says when he saysIn other words hold him accountable to what his business says it will do.As far as this mumbo jumbo of it is the state law that if a business provides a service to a consumer who does not have a resale certificate of taxes I do not know what he meansIs he saying I need to hold a certificate of taxes? Is he saying he does not hold one? If he does not hold one he did not inform me of this shortcoming before he took my money and did the serviceQuite simply I as other consumers want to know what you did by line item and what you charged me for each item and how long you charged me to do itThis lump some stuff I never heard of and albeit is used to cheat the publicThe brake line pieces cost were under $so I do not see the complicationThe lock nut that they kept was not in the glove compartment and the plastic bag I had it in was empty sitting on the back seatI initially put it in the plastic bag and in the consoleIn conclusion there has been many complaints on this store listed by the Revdex.com I wish I would have looked before I talked to mrLuis and fell for his lying sales pitch of customer serviceI stand behind there was no steering problem before universal transmission worked on my car and have witnesses to testify as suchI stand behind I probably did not need rotors or brake padsThe brake pads I had had a lifetime warranty and if I had the old parts I could have got them replaced free of chargeAs for the rotors again the fact he never put them in the car as I requested or even showed me how allegedly bad they were speaks for itself

We have on file giving you a day warranty Unless you have another paper that is what stands [redacted] is not my facility and can price any job anyway they want to Some reasons is there are new parts, rebuilt parts, and used parts Technicians all get paid differently The time you bought your vehicle to my shop verses when and if you took your vehicle to another shops vary because when I touched your vehicle, I priced a transmission that has never been rebuilt and automatically have more wear and tear verses you taking it somewhere when the transmission was already rebuilt you are going to have less damage and less wear and tear therefore your price should be lower or given a better warrantyThese are a few examples why transmission cost differentlyPlease give me an invoice where you state you have a one year warranty and we will repair your transmission according to your records

I am sorry that your vehicle is not working properly We supply all of our customers with a copy of the invoice which states the warranty at the time when the vehicle is picked upI was informed that you and your wife came in and we test drove your vehicle and concluded that you had an electrical issue with your vehicle The cluster on the dashboard is shorting out and we supplied you with another invoice that states $1,with a days warranty I will be looking into this a little further Thank you for your comments

I did pickup my car on this past Thursday but I had to get it towed back to the shop on this past Saturday two days after I picked it upI don't fault the owner because the car was not test drivenIt's there now to be looked at throughly and hopefully it'll be in driving condition when it's done. Again we did not misdiagnosed the vehicle We have written consent to perform a RDI He only paid for an RDI

We picked up her vehicle to do an external diagnosis on the engine. When the vehicle reached us, the top half of the engine was already dismantled. This vehicle was sent somewhere else to diagnosis. We spoke to her asking permission to do an RDI(Remove, Dismantle, Inspect) on the
engine. It took her a couple of months to give us that authorization because she was going through family issues. Our conclusions and quote was given to her. She declined all repairs. We tried to set up for her to have the vehicle towed to her house. We were running out of space and did not want to be responsible for her vehicle any much longer. She never set up the pick up of the vehicle. We then suggested that we would tow the vehicle back to her house for a fee. She never paid us the fee. The only part of her engine we have is the block. She has all the other parts of the engine in her possession. We had no place to leave the block, only on the ground near the vehicle. We could not fit it in her car because it could break something inside and did not fit in the trunk. We still have her block in our possession.. Please make immediate arrangements to pick it up within the next days. If it is not picked up within the next ten days, I am relieving myself and my shop of all responsibilities of that block. We are opened Monday - Friday 8-and Saturdays 8-1. Please pick up your block within the time period requested... As far as her social security card, we did not see it. Maybe check in your house. Thank you in advance for your cooperation

You have the right to your opinion and with your decision in taking this matter into court Maybe the judge can explain to you what I already did We must do an RDI before giving you a price to rebuilt

The RDI that was done is procedure We have to look inside the transmission in order to find out if there were damage parts We tried to repair it without the transmission being removed however it could not be done I am not sure how long you drove your vehicle but with the intense damage I think it may have been at least two days Transmission damage can happen quickly I am sorry you feel that was but you did give us consent in doing an RDI and that is all we did per your request
