It is now Christmas Eve and I have not received a denial or acceptance letter or phone call from UNUMI did receive a letter in the mail that just notated they received my Revdex.com complaintI have been off work since 10/30/and have not received a denial or acceptance letter from UNUMThey say they are still reviewing my caseWhen I signed up for this extra insurance I was promised that I would not miss a checkThis is a lieAll of my coworkers are taking note of my saga with UNUM and are very unhappy that I am being treated this wayTheir claim is that they are waiting on documents from my family doctorMy family doctor was treating me for pain and referred me to a specialistThis is not a pre-exisiting conditionI cannot receive any assistance from my local government agencies because I have not received a denial letter

My complaint was closed and unresolvedThe business said they cannot discuss Insureds and I understand laws like HIPAA and FERPA are in place regarding one's informationMy complaint was not resolved and this company in my opinion has stolen money from meThey lack regard for any customer service and refuse to make things rightI immediately informed them that I did not want their services and never heard backI moved and all of my mail was forwarded to meI find it extremely doubtful the one piece of mail that was not forward to my new address was from this company Trying to put the blame on the customer is ridiculous.If permission needs to be given from me to contact *** ***, Manager, Complaint Resolutions, please let me know what needs to be doneI have added this address and any from Revdex.com to my contacts list to be sure I am alerted once I receive an email.

This company makes it so hard if not impossible get a legitimate claim paid. They always ask for more and information to avoid paying the claim! I filed a couple claims back in March- and first they said they didn't receive my fax with all the information they needed on those claims (I spent like $11.00 to fax them). I spoke to a representative in June and I told him what I sent and that that is perfect and that is all I would need to resend to receive payments... When I called back I was told I need to go to the ER and have the Dr. write a hand written detailed report of the visit!!! I sent ALL (pages) of the DETAILED paperwork that the hospital had for that ER visit. The ER said they DON't ever do what Colonial Life is asking for... Which makes total sense to me!!! As for my chiropractic claim they told me the same thing. They also told me they deal with many supplemental insurance companies all the time and the information they gave me is always sufficient for those companies. I feel that Colonial Life goes way out of their way to make it nearly impossible to get a claim paid. This has costed me A LOT of my valuable time to keep jumping through hoops and always being told I need to send more information!!! I am very frustrated and upset.: I would like to be paid immediately on the claims I submitted.
