We appreciate the time you have
taken to speak to us today regarding your cash back rewards. To confirm, your
[redacted] Cash Back Rewards was posted as pending on March 9th,
2017 to your Upromise Rewards account. Traditionally it can take up to 90 days
to fund...

to your Upromise Rewards account depending on the posted date and the
next invoicing date. We also confirmed that we invoiced this in April and that
the [redacted] Cash Back Rewards will fund by May 1st,
2017 to your Upromise Rewards account.
Once your cash back rewards have funded,
you can request a withdrawal check to be sent to your registered mailing
address found on your Upromise Rewards account. It can take up to 45 days to receive
the check depending on when you submit the request. We do process withdrawal
checks once a month, on or about the 7th of each month. Submit your
request before May 7th, 2017 and your check will be sent to you that
week.We also appreciate your feedback
on areas of improvement, and will keep this in mind for when we make changes to

[Upromise.com sent me an email with exactly same content.    Actually when I registered the account,  I read the membership agreement carefully.   It is impossible to check the shopping terms and conditions link because nowhere to find this link when I registered a new account.  I believe nobody will read the whole website when he registers an account.    Most of my previous transactions through Upromise were confirmed and funded.    It means Upromise already got money from these merchandises.    I used Upromise frequently in 2016.    Upromise never told me about my activities.    It just terminated my account when I wanted to claim my money.   This is a chatting company.   Stay away from it.]

I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved. I would still urge Upromise to make sure that the cash back offers that appear after clicking a particular vendor actually match the terms and conditions in force. The utility of the Upromise portal is minimized if users have to double- and triple-check the qualifying features for each merchant and are unable to trust that the offers they see aren't expired, ineligible, etc.

We apologize for the length of time it took to
research why your [redacted].com purchase did not show up for the cash back reward,
and understand how frustrating waiting can be. It is certainly not our default,
nor in our best interest, to not give cash back, or slow the pace...

back posts. We did escalate your transaction to [redacted].com on 11/28/2017 when you
sent it to us, however, [redacted].com did not recognize the order id sent to us. We
re-escalated your transaction with the receipt you kindly provided to us in
January, and [redacted].com has recently provided the approval for the 5% cash back
reward that they were offering at the time of purchase. You will see this
appear in your “Transaction History” within 10 business days.
Again, we apologize that your [redacted].com transaction
did not post automatically to your account. This could have been for several
reasons including, but not exclusive to, completing the purchase in a window
not original to the search, or toolbars (ie [redacted], [redacted]) installed
preventing us from tracking. Please keep these in mind when making purchases
through the Upromise website in the future.

Appreciate you reaching back out to me about your
complaint. I apologize for any confusion that may have been caused when
speaking to our representatives regarding your cash back rewards. I will review
the recent calls into our call center for additional training...

opportunities.
As a newer [redacted] Upromise [redacted] holder you
may be unaware of how exactly cash back is earned.  When you use your
[redacted] Upromise [redacted] and shop through the Upromise Online Shopping Mall
the rewards are broken down into 3 separate transactions:
First you receive the
base reward from the merchant. Typically, with Travel it can take up to 90
days to see this on your Upromise account.
Second you receive 1% of
your total purchases completed with your Upromise [redacted] at the end of
your monthly billing cycle. For you this shows up around the 10th
of each month that you earned in.
Finally, you earn the
remaining 4% bonus cash back 10-12 weeks after the initial base reward has
been credited.  
I have confirmed with [redacted]’s that the 4% bonus
for your [redacted].com and your [redacted] transactions had already been approved
and sent to post to your account this week. Information on our contribution
timetables can be found online by clicking the “When will I see my cash back?”
link once you log into your Upromise Rewards account. 
I hope this answers the questions you had
regarding your cash back. If you have any additional questions regarding
payments that you mentioned in your email to me, please let me know and I will
be sure to get a [redacted] Upromise [redacted] manager in touch with you. If you
feel that you are still missing a reward from a transaction, please provide me

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response cannot be deemed either satisfactory or unsatisfactory in reference to complaint # [redacted]. I can accept the response when the transactions are posted to reflect $21.51 in total rewards for the [redacted] and [redacted] purchases ($17.36 remaining to be posted if nothing else on the account changes). I am happy to follow-up in the next 30 days to confirm when the $17.36 in additional rewards are posted and the that the existing $2.51 rewards on 11/17 and the  $1.64 rewards posted on 11/08 remain on the account. The credit card account referenced is maintained by a separate
company, and only provides you with additional ways to earn cash back with
Upromise. This means that you do have an active Upromise rewards account
currently. As you are requesting to terminate your Upromise rewards account we

communicated your concerns with our partner. [redacted], like many of our partners,
generally does not start the research process until the 45 day posting
timeframe has passed. This unfortunately caused a delay in getting a response
to you in regards to your rewards. [redacted] has recently reach out to us with an
approval, and has rewarded your account the $111.00 for the lines you activated
with them.

in the Upromise service is subject to the Member Agreement. By enrolling in the
Upromise Service, you also acknowledged that you have read...

We have identified your account, in conjunction
with an additional account, as being involved in a pattern of purchases from
Upromise merchant partners for the apparent purpose of resale or commercial
purposes. This was later confirmed with the documentation sent to us, which
included invoices from the additional account confirming that these accounts
have been used in an attempt to circumvent the terms of service.
In
accordance with the Upromise Shopping Terms and Conditions (the “Shopping
Terms”) eighth bullet down, purchases of products, services sold or promoted
for resale or commercial use of any kind are not eligible for contributions,
and your abuse of the Upromise service in this manner constitutes a violation
of both the Shopping Terms and the Upromise Member Agreement (the “Agreement”).
In addition, this activity also violates the terms and conditions established
by several Upromise merchant partners, including without limitation, [redacted],
[redacted], [redacted], and [redacted]. This information can be found
in the “Offer and Details” link for each merchant partner.
Accordingly, pursuant to Sections 12, 13 and 16 of
the Agreement, we reserve the right to rescind Contributions and to bar further
Contributions to, and terminate your membership if we believe in our discretion
that you are abusing or have abused the Service, including, without limitation,
by engaging in fraudulent activities. As part of the member agreement you also
agreed to forfeit any and all Contributions in the Rewards Account should we
believe in our discretion that you have abused the Service.

to 30 days to post to member’s accounts. 
As a newer member, we want to make sure that you are fully aware of how
to properly utilize...

our online shopping mall. I have attempted to contact you
twice at the phone number you provided, in order to go over your online
shopping habits to verify that the following steps are being followed.
1. Click on the Online Shopping tab on the Upromise website.
2. Find the store you'd like to browse and click the link on
the Upromise website.
3. If you aren't already logged on, you will be prompted to
do so at that time.
4. If directed by the Upromise message to make your purchase
with a registered credit card, you must do that in order to receive cash back.
If not, complete the transaction as you normally would, (for In-Store
Retailers, make sure you pay with a registered credit or debit card).
 Be sure that you have not clicked off that site to any other
company site. If you do, Upromise will not be able to track your purchases and
you will not receive cash back.
 When you follow these steps, your cash back should be
processed and posted within the given timeframe.
We understand that it can be daunting to have so many
options for merchants and that clicking back and forth through browsers is a
normal web surfing activity that can negate receiving your Upromise rewards so
as a courtesy we have adjusted your account for both your July, 29th
transaction and your August, 10th transaction.
