Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:1) I did not leave a message on the answering machine that I reached on December 31, The originator of the letter is lying I hung up the phone when I could not reach an actual person I only received the call saying that my "account" was closed with Urban eBooks after they must have received communication from the Revdex.com of New Mexico I have no idea how they obtained my phone number, and I don't know why they didn't respond to the Revdex.com rather than contacting me directly.2) I did not place any orders with any business that I have not used many times in the past and know to be reputable The "third-party" explanation and the implication that I was in some way responsible for generating an "account" with Urban eBooks is another lie.3) The credit card that they appear to have for me was actually cancelled a couple of months ago because of fraudulent charges detected by my credit card company I have let my credit card company know about this recent incursion and that Urban eBooks may have been involved or have benefited from the stealing of my credit card and personal data I hope my credit card company will investigate this further.4) Urban eBooks has a history of doing the same sort of thing through an address in Florida, and they have been reported to the Florida Revdex.com on numerous occasions (found in computer search, website: [redacted] ) 5) I am convinced that Urban eBooks is engaged in fraud at the very least and possible purchase of stolen personal data or outright theft of said data They should be reported to the appropriate law enforcement investigators immediately I do not know if the Revdex.com does this or not If not, please let me know, and I will do so myself If your office knows which law enforcement office should be contacted in this matter, I would appreciate it if you would let me know (if your office will not take steps to report it).I will not accept the business's "response" until they have been thoroughly investigated and found to be innocent of all fraud Regards, [redacted] [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, the consumer must give a reason why they are rejecting the responseIf the consumer does not provide a reason if he complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]

I am rejecting this response because:what they are doing was not requested.  They had my credit card information, opened an account with my credit card and was going to charge me for something I did not request or desire.  Had I not noticed this, and how many people will not, how long would they have charged me.  Do the math, how many people will pay this charge and never know it, probably hundreds.  I did not check a box requesting this;  why is anyone required to check a box not to receive something you did not ask for.  I would think this would be one of those easy cases to put a stop to an unlawful practice.
