Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution...

is satisfactory to me. This business did call me and confirmed a cancelation number and to say that there would not be any charges to my bank account.  Thank you for your help in this matter. [redacted]
Regards,

Dear Sir or Madam:

The
consumer called our answering service on March 16th 2016 to decline the offer
received in the mail and it was immediately cancelled. No charges were
applied.

The
consumer's information was sent to the company as a 3rd party marketing, he/she
could have missed a checked box while shopping online or over the phone. The
company then sends off the letter explaining the membership with the details of
payments and how to cancel if not interested after trying the
service.

In
a case where the consumer would miss the letter, once a charge is applied, the
consumer will get refunded and cancelled once they call the company to confirm
they do not want the membership.

Thank you and we apologize for any inconvenience this
may have caused.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:1) I did not leave a message on the answering machine that I reached on December 31, 2015.  The originator of the letter is lying.  I hung up the phone when I could not reach an actual person.  I only received the call saying that my "account" was closed with Urban eBooks after they must have received communication from the Revdex.com of New Mexico.  I have no idea how they obtained my phone number, and I don't know why they didn't respond to the Revdex.com rather than contacting me directly.2) I did not place any orders with any business that I have not used many times in the past and know to be reputable.  The "third-party" explanation and the implication that I was in some way responsible for generating an "account" with Urban eBooks is another lie.3) The credit card that they appear to have for me was actually cancelled a couple of months ago because of fraudulent charges detected by my credit card company.  I have let my credit card company know about this recent incursion and that Urban eBooks may have been involved or have benefited from the stealing of my credit card and personal data.  I hope my credit card company will investigate this further.4) Urban eBooks has a history of doing the same sort of thing through an address in Florida, and they have been reported to the Florida Revdex.com on numerous occasions (found in computer search, website:  [redacted]).     5) I am convinced that Urban eBooks is engaged in fraud at the very least and possible purchase of stolen personal data or outright theft of said data.  They should be reported to the appropriate law enforcement investigators immediately.  I do not know if the Revdex.com does this or not.  If not, please let me know, and I will do so myself.  If your office knows which law enforcement office should be contacted in this matter, I would appreciate it if you would let me know (if your office will not take steps to report it).I will not accept the business's "response" until they have been thoroughly investigated and found to be innocent of all fraud.
Regards,
