I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.? For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards,? [redacted] In regards to the owner's response I think it's a huge cop out? I even called them and left a message about putting a complaint in and nothing? Their inability to followup on any call or stay in touch with regards to when they will arrive is crap? The season is busy for many, that doesn't excuse not following up with a call? That doesn't excuse the fact they never showed when they were suppose to and never bothered to call? That doesn't excuse the fact that they failed to ever mention that "air conditioners" are a priority? How about a priority is getting the the next customer they promised? They purposely blew us off as far as I am concerned? Not ONE attempt to reconcile the complaint after leavingt a message? Poor customer service and I will continue to advertise NOT to do business with them? We are well educated, reponsible individuals who ask for nothing more then common courtesy and respect? They displayed neither? Thankfully, we found someone else who showed that and was very thorough in completely what we ask which was a simple installation of a heat pump and pool pump?

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.? Regards, [redacted] ***

We are sorry for any confusion regarding this invoice.? The cost of the part installed was $plus tax.? There was also a trip and diagnostic charge and tax which made the total $517.32.? Because we want to keep our customers happy, we are willing to give the trip and diagnostic fee refund to the customer which is? $+ $tax which equals a refund of $106.92.? Once the charge clears we will immediately give a refund to the customer.? Going forward we will have to request all verbal? consents be? confirmed? by text or email to avoid this confusion.?

The attached invoice which the customer received, states there is a year parts and labor warranty from Northern only in the terms and conditions section As stated previously, our company purchases parts from wholesalers and this cost for the part includes installation of the part, picking up the part from the wholesaler, and warranty for one year for the part We are unable to refund any portion of the line item that the homeowners wife agreed to and signed on the invoice and paid

We came out to Mr*** residence on June and found the heat pump working to factory standards. The heat pump was fairly small for the pool and we mentioned that may be why it is not heating as fast as they desired. We came back out again August 7, and reevaluated the
call due to the customers request. There was a call into *** *** Tech support while on site. The tech gave all information regarding air temperature, water temperature, high side pressure, low side pressure, suction temperature, temperature drop from air temperature through heater output air. According to the *** *** technical support the heater was working as designed. The second call was a courtesy call and no charge to the customer. Attached are both calls invoices and the factory Technical Support Email confirming the above statements. There was nothing else we could do for this customer. We did let the customer know they could call *** *** directly and discuss further. Mr***h declined and demanded we come onsite and call together. The team has done all it can do for this customer. The next steps would be for the customer to contact *** *** directly with their concerns

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. First of all, to our recollection, WE asked them not to come until the next day as we were experiencing a warm spell for a few days and it was NOT an actual emergency. We knew that there was already a $trip charge for the system evaluation and wanted to save the additional "emergency" charge(s), which is ridiculous for a 5+ mile trip but we get that it is a "normal" chargeAlso, how/why is it the consumer/customer's fault if they have to go to get a "universal" part which should be on their truck as it is "universal" which we are pretty sure means it fits on any furnaceLastly, where in the bill does it state that there is a "one year warranty"? *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** They used to be a good place to call for
service but of late something has changed and we feel they are taking
advantage of the consumer/customer. Perhaps, they feel that there are
no REAL repercussions for this type of business behaviorRegards, *** ***

We received a call by Mr *** Monday Feb 19th in the evening with a no heat call. We offered to come out that night however mentioned the trip and diagnostic fee was $more for evenings and we could save him some money if he could wait till first thing in the morning. He agreed.
We came out to his home Feb 20th in the morning and it was diagnosed that he needed to replace his gas pilot ignition control module. His wife was home and we replaced the part and did a cleaning on the furnace along with the recommissioning and safety check as shown on the invoice. His wife approved and signed the invoice and paid the bill. When Mr *** called later the next day to inquire about the part cost, we told him that the cost was not just for the part but included installation and warranty for the part, along with the acquisition of the part that was not on our truck. The team had to go to the local wholesaler to pick up this part for Mr Irwin. The part is warrantied for one year along with labor. This cost was included in the part line item. Mr *** stated he could purchase the part cheaper online however as stated that would not include installation or warranty. We cannot purchase parts online due to the immediate needs of our customers. We work directly with wholesalers. Also, the trip and diagnostic fee is standard and as discussed with Mr *** the day before is normally $but would have been more if we had to go in the evening to his home. We tried to save what money we could for Mr *** at the time. When we spoke to him on the phone regarding this invoice, he did not state he was unhappy with us or the work at the time. He seemed satisfied with the answer and then proceeded to file this complaint. We cannot sell our parts installed for the same price as the ones he found. There are too many costs that are associated with this installation that online companies or even ***'s do not have

We are so sorry to hear that this customer was upset due to the inability to get them a quote in a timely manner. As the Northern Comfort Heating & Cooling team hits the spring/summer season, the calls that come into the office increase substantially. At this time the call volume
was over calls per day during working hours. Our team needs to triage the calls making the most critical ones top priority. When the temperatures increase, the top priority becomes air conditioning as many customers deal with allergies and have health issues if they don’t have air conditioning in their home. The secondary priority becomes the pool heaters which calls were also coming in heavily due to the holiday and summer season coming up. One of the standing procedures is that the Northern Comfort team informs their customers to not take off from work, and that they will receive a call when the team is one hour away to service. This way it does not inconvenience the customer and they can continue with their daily plans until a schedule has been locked down with this call. If it is not acceptable, we reschedule with a better time for both. We cannot hold a strict schedule due to the call volume mentioned aboveWe always strive to give great support and service to our customers and we are terribly sorry this was not resolved at the time for this customer. This was a bad situation however, due to the many calls coming in the owner may have not have been as professional to this customer, and for that he is sorry. We hope we can assist this customer in the future if needed

The attached invoice which the customer received, states there is a 1 year parts and labor warranty from Northern only in the terms and conditions section.  As stated previously, our company purchases parts from wholesalers and this cost for the part includes installation of the part, picking up the part from the wholesaler, and warranty for one year for the part.  We are unable to refund any portion of the line item that the homeowners wife agreed to and signed on the invoice and paid.

We are sorry for any confusion regarding this invoice.  The cost of the part installed was $380 plus tax.  There was also a trip and diagnostic charge and tax which made the total $517.32.  Because we want to keep our customers happy, we are willing to give the trip and diagnostic fee...

refund to the customer which is $99 + $7.92 tax which equals a refund of $106.92.  Once the charge clears we will immediately give a refund to the customer.  Going forward we will have to request all verbal consents be confirmed by text or email to avoid this confusion.
