I am rejecting this response because: I only used ity once and it was my understanding that the .95 cent was for a one time search.. as stated before I only searched one time so why would I pay a monthly fee for in accurate data. and somthing I used only once?

Review: I used this "service" to search for my half-brother's phone number so that I could contact him and let him know that our sister had passed away on the 8th. They did the "preliminary" search, came up with the right name, location and age and I clicked on the button that said "That's The One!" That sent me to a page where I had to choose which service I wanted..one-time only info, a "trial" membership or a lot of information I didn't need with a full membership which I can't afford. When I chose the cheapest option and gave them my card info, I was sent to a page which listed every person by a similar name in the same state BUT the one I needed. They had the right one so I question if that was an effort to get more money from me. I am also demanding that they delete my email and credit card information. My level of trust for this business is low to none. That is really bad service and smacks of a scam.Desired Settlement: Either give me the information for which I paid or refund that $1.95 and delete my credit card and email from their records. Nothing else will be required.

Took a trial membership to get one complete report on a subject. Paid my 95 cents and clicked on the report. Got a response I could have gotten from Spokeo for free, no personal information on my subject, just a list of people with the same name. Clicked on my subject and a second payment page came up requiring another $39 bucks to get the complete report. These are very creepy folks. Don't use them.

Review: On August 5th, 2015 US PEOPLE SEARCH.com was delivered a certified letter with return receipt from my attorney demanding that my personal information be removed from their companys data bases and that a letter of confirmation be returned to my attorney stating that this request has been completed. As of today they have not complied with this request.Desired Settlement: I would request that US PEOPLE SEARCH.com comply with the request that was provided to them in writing on the above date and send my attorney the letter of confirmation as soon as possible.

Review: I was ripped off and then told by sales rep that I had greed to pay for a wrong answer. I never clicked on any of their eroneous options listing wrong results. I discovered after my payment that they excluded that same name for the person I had agreed info for. I was purchasing an address search on a person I knew, just to test their accuracy before I would do a background check. They did show this person with middle init. and his relatives and many places he lived and owned property. This person has since passed away and is the only one with that middle initial within that region. I had seen his name in public records search and shown it also by this search site, yet the actual data is unavailable to them. They took my money anyway, after giving me a list of other people with same sur name and diff relatives BUT I never chose any of the eroneous options thrown at me. I never recieved any service, so should not have been billed. I then attempted to get my money back since I never used the service by rejecting the wrong data. It is also false advertisement to show that persons full name (hes notorious) and not actually produce any data for him. Yet I did NOT find out until after my payment was submitted that they would not have his name in their list of choices then offfered. Their list just did NOT include that same name I had paid them for. They also still show his full name for a background report for purchase, yet I see they will not be able to give his info. The fact that I did not click on any of the results they gave me, means that I did not receive any service from them. I would not have submitted my payment except for seeing his name with middle initial and his same relatives listed as an option before payment is received just its not an option after they get your money.They need to refund my money and remove names of people that have been deleted from their system as well since false advertisement by not producing the data.Desired Settlement: correct their practise to not list people on their site if those people have been deleted or opted out of their database.

Review: This business does not abide by 15 U.S. CODE 8403- NEGATIVE OPTION MARKETING ON THE INTERNET. They do not send courteously emails, stating your card will be charged recurring fees. They sneakily hide it in their terms and conditions, without ever mentioning the recurring charges again. EVERY company I've worked with that enrolls you in this "membership style" sign-up format ALWAYS has notified me of recurring monthly charges.WARNING!!! Don't work with them!Desired Settlement: Already sent a certified letter to the corporate office, no one responded. I would like the justifiable amount of $249.50 placed back on our card.

records show that an order for a search was conducted by the customer on 3/2/2011. At that

time they had a choice to accept a special discounted price available with a

monthly membership or the full price for the search without membership. The membership option was affirmatively

selected by them on 3/2/2011. That membership

provided a three day trial to try our services.

Our membership service provides unlimited searches and other features

for a monthly fee. This is clearly and

conspicuously disclosed on the initial order selection page. Then the consumer is provided with an entire

section outlining the terms of the membership which again clearly and conspicuously

states that after the initial trial, unless the consumer cancels the service

the service will continue monthly and the card they provided will be charged

until they tell us to cancel their membership to avoid future charges. The user is then required to check a box stating "Yes, I agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use and understand that unless I cancel during my free trial period, my card will be billed $24.95 each month. I may cancel at anytime."

Given that

members can conduct unlimited searches for a monthly membership fee our terms

do not allow for any refunds and simply allow members to cancel anytime to

avoid future charges. For the period of their membership the customer was charged

each month. During that time, our customer service was available to take the cancellation

at any time. In February of 2012 the membership failed to renew because the funds could not be verified and no charges have occurred since then. We did not receive a

contact from the customer until 8/6/2014, almost four years

after the membership was initiated and over two years after the last charge occurred. They will be responsible for the monthly membership fees from March 2011 to Febuary 2012. In conclusion, per the terms agreed to and the amount of time that has passed, the charges cannot be refunded.
