business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I see they backdated the date they removed the charge but at least it was finally removed before they sent it to collections (I received a final notice...this was going on since Oct/Nov 2017)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This response is not true. I have my phone documentation showing that within a hour of the service man leaving I called saying it was not working. The service man was rude and stated thats not my problem. If at the time of service he would have said it can't be fixed I would have went with replacement.I purchased 3 window units totaling $900.00 to replace air system, I have the sales receipt from Lowes. I called them to tell them I put a stop payment on the check. I, in good faith, sent a new check for $200.00 to pay for the $199.00 services call certified mail because I could not get to sepak with someone. My phone never said it can't take calls. I am a psychologist, I have emergency cases, my phone needs to take calls. I also called several times (phone record to show and the women I spoke with documentated). He called back twice while I was in session, I called him back ASAP and got his voice mail. I do not find them honest and reliable anymore. I can't trust them to service or replace anything for me. They are admitting they didn't fix the unit. Why should I pay for anything more than a service call. They are taking advantage of a senior citizen and that is disturbing. I do not accept their response and now they are lying as well. Wow, what a company.

we processed a check and put it in the lobby for pickup.  i believe it was picked up in early december.

I am including a transaction analysis since the last time Mr [redacted]'s account had a $0 balance on 9/24/14. price of Kerosene this year was $3.899 per gallon compared to $4.799 the prior year. Many customers with outside tanks request Kerosene instead of fuel oil because it burns cleaner and will not gel up in an outside tank during the cold winter months. As requested I have also included the last delivery of Propane for review. We do not feel as if we have done anything wrong or unscrupulous, the account was set up as requested by the customer, and our prices were much lower this year versus the prior year. No payment was made in the month of February and this is what generated a call from our credit department. Spoke to customer on 3/15/16. I apologized and took full responsibility for our delivery mistake. I gave her option of paying for heaters in exchange for giving them to us or receiving an additional credit of $0.75 per gallon, customer opted for the credit. I suggested that Peninsula install 1 more...

tank, current usage warrants additional storage, current capacity is only 100 gallons, there would be no additional cost other than product cost to install the tank.

we are happy to reschedule the appointment  to install your propane service. or credit the charge and remove our tank. just let us know how you wish to proceed.

resolution is satisfactory to me.  Thank you for your help with this matter. If you didn't get involved, I am sure this would have never been resolved with them.Biggest issue was no communication whatsoever, two days of missed appointments, after we had to call them multiple times to schedule, more than three weeks after the initial visit. Two days, no show no call for scheduled appointment. We had to call them back again, in which time a qualified and knowledgeable technician came out and did the job to our satisfaction.I guess the lesson here is that you have to file a complaint with the Revdex.com to get them to show up.

I have reviewed the response made by the business and do not accept it at this time.  First, they are showing a origional copy which is crystal clear where as...

I have  the bottom copy of multiple copies which is extremely faint  and cannot read it.  Second,  first line of agreement  states that contract is between them and myself.  Third I did not agree to a  service contract and it was never mentioned to me when the salesman was here at my house and want it removed from my bill. Corrected bill I requested did not reflect this only backed up the statement to include a prior transaction.  I do not want  to be charged for this from that company in the future as I will contact a reputable company to take care of my Air Conditioner as needed.  I want the fact that I dont want this service contract nor will I be charged for it in the future in writing and part of a resolution.  Fourth, I have no problem  paying this bill thru my own  bank, and will not have nothing to do with Wells Fargo Bank for personal reasons. I have already been to my bank and as soon as this resolved I will be sending in full payment to peninsula Oil.

[redacted] Mr. [redacted] owns one of our Club Memberships which affords him an annual tune-up of his boiler.  During our inspection, the Technician discovered cracks in the fire box.  He informed the occupant and told her he was going to “red tag” (placing a red tag on the unit) the...

boiler.  Red tagging a combustion appliance requires notice to the occupants of a potential unsafe condition.  The unit is normally turned off and the occupant is notified.  This is an industry standard operating procedure when cracks are found in heat exchangers or fire boxes (combustion chambers in heating units).   The American Gas Association (AGA) and the Gas Appliance Manufacturer’s Association’s (GAMA) position is that any crack in a heat exchanger or combustion chamber constitutes a defect and requires replacement.  After telling the occupant, she immediately made a phone call.  Unbeknownst to us, she was the tenant and the call was to the landlord.  Our Technician explained to Mr. [redacted] the condition of the boiler.  The Technician told Mr. [redacted] (and the tenant) that there were cracks in the fire box which could create a hazardous condition of CO (carbon monoxide).  We never told either one that there was CO in the house, only that there was potential for the condition.  Court cases have held that HVAC Companies are required to notify building owners and tenants of unsafe and/or potential hazards.  The boiler is 27 years old and we gave Mr. [redacted] a range of prices to replace the boiler.  We contacted our Distributor (R.E. Michel) who explained to us that parts were no longer available.  Given these facts we notified Mr. [redacted].  As he describes it, he had someone else look at the boiler and found no cracks.  We subsequently sent another Technician to the residency, using a HD camera took pictures of the cracks and we sent these to Mr. [redacted]. The technician’s analysis showed 50 ppm (parts per million) of CO at the boiler.  This level is greater than the amounts allowed by NIOSH, The World Health Organization, ASHRAE and Fire Departments.  He had someone else take care of the boiler.  There are some repair methods that can band aid a “fix”.  However, most of these methods are not approved or recommended by manufacturers.  A major component failure of a 27 year old appliance should be grounds for replacement.  Once again, some courts have ruled that landlords have the legal responsibility to notify their tenants of potentially unsafe conditions.  Once again, neither Mr. [redacted] nor the tenant were told that CO was in the house.  We gave Mr. [redacted], two professional low level CO Monitors to use in the house to reassure the tenant. These monitors start recording CO at 5 ppm.  Notification of unsafe conditions does not, in any way, approach the use of “scare tactics”.  The facts are simple, the boiler is 27 years old and had a major component failure.  We did our professional due diligence and notified the effected parties.   After the conditions as stated above were discovered, we did not finish our tune-up pending a decision by Mr. [redacted] as to what he wanted to do.  He chose to allow someone else to handle his situation.  We would be willing to refund the money he paid for his Club membership of $200.

We do apologize for the confusion and the delay. The service club membership was removed from this customer's account on 1/2/2018. If there are any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to call [redacted]Thank you.

I apologize for us missing your appointment. we will refund your money in full.  [redacted]Owner

We are requesting to look at the system to be sure it is not working as the customer states, and if it is not working we will attempt to fix, if it cannot be fixed we will make the requested credit.

Late fees have been removed and statement fee option has been removed from account, automatic credit card payment is turned on. The $11 monthly fee is a recurring monthly charge to read the meter and to offset system maintenance expenses, everyone in the community is billed this fee regardless of...

propane usage.Customer service manager left message for the customer 5/31 and no return call has been recieved

home owners own their own tank and the oil in it.  if they decide to discontinue oil they can give it to a friend, hire a waste oil company to remove it, or as a courtesy we can come and pump it out for a charge.  it is a complex job that takes time and equipment....

no matter who does the work, it is possible that the job will cost more than the oil is worth.Tell us why here...
