Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The offer that you stating is not 100% accurateWhat I was offered by my Vandergriff salesman was that you would send me the top piece that flew off and that I could drive back to Dallas and have your body man repair the bumper The problem with the offer was that you declined to offer me a vehicle to use while fixing the bumperI was also told the repair would likely require more than one dayI would then be in Dallas waiting on a bumper repair that could take days, missing work and with no transportation and housingThis offer was unreasonable and I had to declineI took the vehicle to Land rover, they said they would cover the top piece under warranty but not the bumperThey also stated that the bumper can not and should not be patched, it should be replacedI would like Vandergriff to cover the cost of the bumperWarranty will cover the top piece and I will pay the body shop to paint and install the parts in Houston Regards, [redacted]

After speaking with the customer, we contacted Hyundai regarding her Sonata and the coupler. Hyundai agreed to cover the coupler under te manufacture's warrant. The customer is satisfied with this resolution

Sir, please look over our response once more. I did state that we would provide you a vehicle to drive. On the matter of us mailing you the top rail parts, you had already stated you had it completed under warranty. The repair may take more than one day however this is all we are offering. Please accept the fact that Vandergriff sold the vehicle as is and you had 4 hours to make certain it was acceptable and signed a document that states it was sold as is. Vandergriff Hyundai has reached out to the customer and has resolved the issue.  The customer received their refund and they were satisfied with the results.

After to speaking with Ms. [redacted], we have agreed to trade her out of her 2014 Sonata once the engine has been replaced.  The engine failed due to an oil consumption issue and is covered under the manufacture's powertrain warranty.  Ms. [redacted] is satisfied and we have resolved...

the issue.

Vandergriff Hyundai has processed the cancellation paperwork for the customer to get their refund.  The customer is aware of this and they are completely satisfied.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. Pre-owned vehicles are sold "as is" with customer signed documents in each file. We sell pre-owned vehicles with flaws every day of the week. We can only assume the customer has walked around and gone over each vehicle (as you stated being...

here 4 hours) before purchasing. With this said we did offer to repair the bumper and cap that flew off the roof here in our shop where we can control the repair and the cost of the repair. Additionally, we would provide you a loan car for local use while waiting for the repair to be completed. I understand your statement of opinion from your local dealer and do not accept the terms. Thank you,Vandergriff Hyundai

I am writing in response to complaint ID 10615578. I personally spoke to Mrs [redacted] in the dealership on May 8th and apologized for the car not being certified as displayed online. I had the car certified at no cost to her and the extended warranty cancelled. I spoke with all staff members involved...

and reiterated our policy to honor all advertised prices.

I am rejecting this response because: I have read your response. I have already proceeded to have my car repaired in Houston. If Vandergriff had offered me that solution initially I would have accepted. However, that was not the case. I no longer can trust you to keep your word and am not interested in having someone with obviously compromised integrity working on my vehicle. I will send the invoice of what I have had to come out of pocket to pay for the repairs. If you truly want to help, you can cover some or all of the repair costs. Regards,[redacted]

The salesperson spelled it out for you in the beginning. I spelled it out for you in each response. The only thing left unsaid until I responded was the loaner car. Your comment about us making it clear is unfounded and expected as you are reaching for anything at this point.Thank you.
