I am dissasasifed with this solution because when contacting this company for a refund I could not get ahold of them for over daysI had to call into the claims department and be transferred over to a representative just to be able to speak with someone from the right departmentI did not call after hours each time I called all hours of the dayThis business is a scam in my opinion and there are a lot of other complaints about this business onlineI only received a refund once contacting my credit card company to dispute the matter and then this company didn't even respond to my knowledgeI am fortunate that my credit card company did give me some releif by issuing me a creditI do not want anymore money from this business I just want other people to know to be aware of the unprofessional games they will play once a person is a customerAnd speaking of people claims I filed I did that whole heartdly to get the business' attentionWhom I finally appreciate hearing from

I received communication from Mr*** at Vehicle Protection Department and while he is correct that they eventually did admit they weren't calling on behalf of Acura, it took me asking the different people I spoke with several times to obtain that information. The last person even implied they were calling on behalf of Acura when I asked how they obtained my VIN. It was their knowledge of my VIN that they implied they were legitimately from Acura. If they are so confident in the way the call was handled, then they should post the call or provide me with a copy or transcript of the call. They made no mention in their response of stopping the practice of referring to their products as "warranties" when, by legal definition, only the manufacturer can use that label, further adding to their misrepresentation. They also cannot possibly be intimately familiar with the policies of every dealership to know if every dealership would accept the agreements they are selling

Upon time of sale, our sales representatives do ask multiple times throughout the sales call, if the vehicle in question is not a salvaged, branded, or have a rebuilt titleBecause titles of this nature do not qualify for coverageHowever, after time of sale if your vehicle transitions from a
non-salvaged vehicle to a salvaged, branded, or have a rebuilt title, it is the vehicle owners responsibility to inform usWith this situation, Vehicle Protection Department was not aware of the vehicle being a salvaged title until, the vehicle needed a repairWhen the policy was sold, the consumer ensured that the vehicle was not a salvaged title vehicleBased off the information given to us by this consumer we started a policy on a Ford Taurus on 5/25/The consumer has paid a total of 1127.92, eight payments of $and one down payment of $after the sales representative waived $from the total cost of the down paymentThis totaled amount is not $for a disputed amountAs stated previously if the vehicle transitioned into a salvaged title after the time of purchase the customer should have informed usThere is no entitlement of a full refund, this customer must follow the cancelation instructions and submit a letter of cancelation to cancel the account properly for a prorate refund amountAll prorate refunds are based off time and miles, please refer to your policy booklet for cancel instructions and for additional information on your possible prorate amountThe consumer is more than welcomed to give our customer service line a call at 800-949-8255, we will also have a representative reach out to the consumer

The complaint was resolved. Thank you

This customer, was sold on 6/made contact with our company on 7/10/via voice mail, angry with our company because he had to leave a voice mail during our off business hoursWe called him back several times however no voice mail box was availableWe were successful in talking with him about
cancellation on 7/31/Despite the fact that his day review period had been over; we extended the possibility of a full refund owed back to him, rather then the prorated refund he should have been entitled toShortly after it came to our attention that Mr*** then filed a complaint with "The peoples claim" demanding that our company owes him $for "emotional stress" along with his down payment amount of $and the first installment amount of 130.23. He also submitted a complaint to the Revdex.com on 7/31/2017, and also charged back his account for the down payment of $and first installment of $on 7/31/Mr*** is no longer entitled to refund of any sort, because he charged back both charges with his bank, this has been resolved between merchant accounts

Vehicle Protection Department has issued a full refund to Mr***The down payment has been issued back to the payees card in the amount of $99.00, receipt attachedThe remaining amount of $for the first monthly installment has been reissued to Mr*** address by checkWe
apologize for the billing issue and consider the matter resolved upon Mr*** receipt of the remaining $Please let us know if there are any questions or anything else is needed

I told *** that I would take the complaint down when I received my refundAfter calling the 800# multiple times over the last weeks and leaving multiple messages, his was the first call I received back from this companyAfter I got his number off the Revdex.com pageI filed the review and complaint before I spoke with him, so it didn't come afterwardsI explained to him that I spent several hours trying to reach them to get refunded for a service contract that I cancelled in the first days and never should have been charged forI called *** a couple of times, and they tried to reach this company on the 800# getting VMWhen I called *** to resolve through them, they were unable to reach them as wellSo his representation of me being the 'only' one who can't get through is incorrectIn late March, I did finally get through after about consecutive calls and listening to ringing for seconds before getting VM, and spoke to a rep who assured me they would send a check for $438.96, which has not been receivedTHAT is why I call them liars in my complaintWHEN I receive my check for 84.99, and the refund to my card for (rest coming from ***) and not just a receipt of my first $payment, I will remove this complaint and amend my reviewAt this point this is what I wantI should be refunded for the hours I spent trying to resolve this, but I guess that's not importantAlso, I received ONE phone call/VM from *** on May after he received this complaint from the Revdex.comONE, not multipleI have not had time to get back to himAfter wasting hours on the 16th on this issue, I've been tied up trying to get caught up on my real workIt is their responsibility to get back to me quickly, not mine to get back to themSince I never ever heard back and on any of my multiple VM's to the 800#, I truly didn't think quick response was an issue with them

Ms*** contacted us 05/16/requesting a refund and for her down payment and first monthly payment and her down payment of $paid to us was refunded immediately, receipt emailed to her, a check is being issued by finance for the first monthly payment of $We have thousands of
active contracts with hundreds of customers calling in each day, we cannot determine why this customer would not be able to get throughRegardless Ms*** was refunded and sent the receipt as requested, customer also expressed she had left a bad review on the Revdex.com and would remove it when refunded, but has filed a complaint insteadCustomer has been called multiple times and left a message on this date but appears unwilling to communicateWe respectfully request the complaint be closed as customer's request was completed, documentation attached
