unwilling to send the tapes back. It is obvious from our reviews going back 10 years that we work with our customers should any issues come up. In fact we have never had a single complaint in over 10 years. So, we are willing to work with this customer as well. But, we have had a few customers order our service, copy the DVDs or BluRays and then ask for a refund. So, we are willing to refund this customer if they send the BluRays back. We want to make sure they have not been copied. If they have been copied we cannot issue a refund. If they have not been copied we will issue a full refund.

More importantly there was a "video calibration" message added to the finished product. I did not make any copies and will return the DVDs at my expense for a full refund of $239.00. When the business refunds my account I will consider this complaint resolved.

Brad and the team at Video Conversion Experts did an excellent job scanning my family's Super 8mm movie films to 1080p .AVI files for editing! Their sprocketless scanner did the best possible job handling my film's sloppy splices and torn sprocket holes, short of hand-aligning each frame individually, which would have taken forever, and their Auto Color technology masterfully compensated for my vast in-camera differences in the film's color and brightness, resulting in scanned images that in many shots look BETTER than how I remember the film looking when it was projected! As a professional cinematographer myself, I'm extremely critical of image quality, and I'm aware of the pitfalls and limitations of converting film, a medium with wide exposure lattitude and dynamic range, to the more limited medium of video, and these transfers continually exceed my expectations. VCE's online ordering service and shipping using [redacted] is smooth and timely as well. Wonderful operation! Fantastic!

Video Conversion Experts did an excellent job in transferring my 40+ year old super 8 films. The 2k transfers resulted in an image resolution that (in my opinion) matches or exceeds that of the original film elements. I was absolutely amazed by the quality and expert service. I highly recommend Video Conversion Experts. Don't trust your valuable film and cherished memories to a "drug store" transfer service-- go with the Pros...!

What a fabulous business where memories can be restored and cherished for their customers!!! I had my Daddy's old 8 mm film from 1963 and 1964 restored. After my parents died, I had old boxes of film and no way to view the contents. Although Daddy wasn't the best photographer and his movies weren't perfect, the folks at Video Conversion Experts combined the old reels and made a flash drive that enables me to once again see my parents as young vibrant people going about enjoying vacations in Ireland and at the beach and the fun we shared as a family. You can't put a price on the moments in time that were returned to me. I still get emotional just thinking about how they restored my memories. I can't say enough about the company and the work they did for me. They were kind enough to talk me through the order process and returned my film and flash drive in a very prompt manner. Their work is amazing, considering what they had to work with (53 year old improperly stored 8 mm film). Thank you Video Conversion Experts for a wonderful, excellent job.

We've used Video Conversion Experts twice for converting our home movies to digital. Our son is in the video business and selected VCE from their website after seeing their depth of services and the control we could have when selecting exactly what we wanted. Our most recent order contained 8mm films that were up to 70 years old. We were afraid that much of the film had become too dark to see, but we were amazed at the quality that we received on the digital file. The ordering process was smooth, we were notified when the order was received and shipped, and delivery was as promised. As for customer service, when our computer had a problem copying the last 5 minutes of the file, VCE immediately sent those 5 minutes from their backup file. A positive experience from beginning to end.

WOW! That was my reaction when I viewed the 2 minute 16 mm film to DVD conversion VCE produced for me. The 1952 film that I submitted was horribly underexposed. I already had the film converted at my local [redacted] and could barely make out the images. I found VCE through an online search and decided to give conversion a second chance using a professional service. I was amazed and overjoyed with the results from VCE. The color and detail exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend VCE and have already recommended them to famiy and friends.

I recently had Video Conversion Experts transfer almost 5,000 ft of 8mm film taken from 1943 - 1957 to DVD. After a lengthy phone conversation with [redacted] (who patiently explained the process and answered my questions), I chose the Pro HD scan. The end result far exceeded my expectations. Even though the film had not always been stored in ideal conditions, they did a wonderful job with the transfer and restoration. The color portions are amazing! The service was very prompt (less than 2 week turn around) and highly professional. They took extreme care with our precious family memories and I highly recommend them to others.

I had this company turn 7 8 mm reels from 1949 through 1960 into dvd's and files to be edited later. I used their high end process and was moved to send them an appreciatory email. Here is an excerpt:

A family member recently send us a DVD she had made somewhere that was converted into AVI format from old Super 8 movie film. We were excited to receive it, since it's been over 45 years since we were married and we had no idea anyone had filmed parts of the wedding. The unfortunate part of that story is that the quality of the movie transfer was terrible!

I have a fair knowledge of video editing, etc. and after ripping the video from the DVD, went to work. I tried everything at my disposal.... but the results were more than disappointing. The initial segment of the video had that terrible blue, overexposed look and the balance of the footage was terribly underexposed.... to the point where faces were mere silhouettes and couldn't even be recognized. It was obvious that not only was the Super 8 film suffering from 45 years of aging.... but because the wedding was held outdoors, in the evening, the photographer either lacked experience or his camera was less than adequate... or both.

Because of the sentimental value of the film.... I decided to see if there was any hope of recovering these precious moments in our lives. That's when I came across VCE. After reading other reviews and considering other companies.... I decided to send the film to VCE for conversion. My only, simple request was to correct color, brightness and contrast as best as possible.

The results were far better than I ever would have expected. The color corrections were excellent and contrast and brightness was such that all of the people in the wedding party were not just recognizable, but clear and bright. It is evident from the VCE results that the previous DVD transfer had been done by automated machine with zero personal attention.

Prior to submitting my film Brad was so helpful to answer numerous questions. I credit those answers as a great start to help me prep the film, know what & how to order, most importantly what to expect.

I requested the highest quality restoration (2 k) with noise reduction & stabilization & (for my 1950 - 1960, 8mm film) the results are just as I had hoped. The video example on their website is a fine example of my results.

I had 7 reels of 16mm film from 1947- 1964 digitized. I had never done this before and as the process isn't inexpensive I called for information and some hand holding. My point of contact, [redacted], was exceptionally helpful and very professional. He answered all my questions and guided me through the processing/product selection. He saved me some money by suggesting that certain options were probably not necessary and also suggested I might consider others that that turned out to be worthwhile. The end products I selected; both BluRay and .avi are better than I expected from 67 year old films. I just never expected them to be a clear and crisp as they are. I spent weeks editing a multitude of 7" and 5" reels of my deceased father's 8mm movies from the 50's - 70's to get just the family content and sent three 7" reels with about 1000 ft. of film to Video Conversion Experts. I ordered the highest resolution available and an additional file that could be edited which necessitated buying an external hard drive. The work was completed expeditiously and the quality was excellent. It's my understanding that they clean the film before recording and I'm sure this added to the excellent results. I have more film to convert and can strongly recommend Video Conversion Experts for high quality conversions to DVD.
