Paid for my premium in November of to start my coverage on January 1st of I paid this premium up front nearly months in advanceThe coverage was not cheap as I needed good insurance to cover my prescriptionsI received different receipts/conformation numbers stating my coverage was paid in full for JANUARY I visit my pharmacy WITH MY NEW CARE SOURCE PROVIDED INSURANCE CARD to pick up my regular prescriptionsThe pharmacist runs my new insurance info and it comes back saying I have no coverageNot no coverage as in no prescription coverage but no coverage periodSomehow care source was able to take my money, send me a confirmation receipt and number, AND send ME an insurance card and not put me in the systemA simple call could correct this issue because I still have my receipt and confirmation number right? WRONG! Care source informs me they have no record of me, wierd because I have record of them taking my money and the insurance card they sent meTo top it off they can't "help" me until they run a search for my paymentCare source's "common practice" for this search is days!! By then my coverage will be up anywayAfter numerous calls and transfers I was told to pay out of pocket and submit the receipts after this has been sorted out and I'll be reimbursedWith no other option I suck it up and pay OUT OF POCKET nearly $for a prescriptiondays later I hear nothing from care source so I call backGood news, they found my paymentBad news, I paid for coverage for the month of December Weird, all my paperwork and insurance card sent from CARE SOURCE specifically states coverage for the month of JanuaryNow I have to wait yet another days for them to investigate this issueThank god I didn't risk another month's worth of premium money on care sourceI dropped them and went with a reputable insurance companyIn the end, after waiting months for countless investigations I was finally told, "You had coverage in January, its too late to submit receipts for reimbursementThey have to be received within days of the months end..." That was itThey stole my money, ran out the clock and beat meI'm out over $because of care source

Problems I've had with this company: -Refund checks (as mandated by ACA) had incorrect account information -In order to get a corrected check, they required payers to contact them -Delayed approval/payment to doctor so long that care provider contacted me for personal payment -Only open for calls during business hours (what about those of us that can't call from work?) -Once I got an associate on the phone, she gave me blatantly information--I was told I could utilize services in another state (still within Caresource services network) even thought I was waiting for the healthcare marketplace to update my resdience information from my previous stateThis was the reason my payment was so delayed for servicei'm not sure because they never contacted me about it -Their online services NEVER WORKDon't even bother trying to pay your bill (the balance shown will be wrong) or checking your claims (if they are listed, the "amount you may owe" will not reflect the amount the company has told the provider that you are liable for) In summaryI am eagerly awaiting open enrollment so I can move to a reputable company that actually provides customer service and actual health insuranceI pay around $a month for health insurance (out of pocket) and have had nothing but trouble with this companyI'm ready to pay more for a more reputable company just to avoid this headacheBlue Cross, Anthem, (anyone else!) here I come

The worse customer service I ever experiencedMember service phone numbers downCan Not even get plan informationCan Not even get a hold of anyone to pay your premiums Why does the State of Ohio allow this to continue?

I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com against Caresource for not paying for orthotics which I am allowed one pair per yearA couple of days later a nice lady named Veronica for Caresource contacted meShe was very professional and within a few minutes the two of us had figured out what the problem wasShe called me back about a week later and all was wellI wished I had spoken to Veronica when the problem had arose instead of the two is that I had spoken with initiallyThanks to Revdex.com and Veronica all is good now

Where shall I start? We bought a CareSource Low Premium Silver policy through the Marketplace, effective JanIt's been terrible from the beginningMy husband called and asked for in-network providers for a certain specialtyHe was given four names and contact informationWell, two of the numbers were disconnectedThe third number was actually the PERSONAL cell of the doctorThe doctor was very irate and upset with my husband on the phone (understandably so), and my husband was apologetic and felt extremely uncomfortable and awkwardOkay, whateverWe were upset, but thought we'd still give it a tryYou can't always predict that the total experience will be unpleasant and unprofessional based on one incident Well, last night, my husband cut his hand; it definitely needed stitches, and he wasn't homeSo he called CareSource and asked what nearby places were in-networkHe stated to the customer service representative that he needed stitchesShe informed him that several clinics in Walgreens and CVS were close to him and were coveredSo, with a gaping and bleeding wound, he drives in rush hour traffic to one of the locationsThey inform him they don't provide stitchesWell, it would have been helpful if CareSource's service reps had known thatIsn't it their job to provide accurate and helpful information to customers who call? So he calls them again, very agitatedHe is informed that a clinic near Community Hospital North is coveredSo he drives, with a gaping and bleeding wound in rush hour traffic, to the clinic, parks and walks insideThe front desk employee informs him that they cover CareSource medicaid and medicare plans, but not the one we pay forAwesomeAt this point, he is beyond frustrated and furiousHe calls me, and I go online to the CareSource website to find a clinic that is coveredI find one [redacted] *** I text him the addressHe arrives there and they say they don't accept CareSource anymore because CaresSource doesn't pay their billsAt this point, he just gets the stitches and a tetanus shotOut of pocket we paid $That is still cheaper that what we would have paid at an emergency roomThat was the whole point of finding an urgent careThese people are total mns who can't even verify the information on their own websiteThese people are completely inept and I don't have any wordsI want my $back

I have never had such a horrible experience with any company in my life! This place is a total ripoffI signed up for health insurance with them months agoThey took the money out of my bank account, I have the bank statements, I also have a printed receipt from themI never received my insurance cardI have called numerous times and spoken to numerous peopleI have gotten the run around for monthsI am now without any insurance coverage because they say my payment has not been processedMy next step is to contact an attorney

I have nothing but terrible thing to tell you about this company My daughter was taken to hospital by ambulanceMy wife call and asks if the hospital was covered in there planProvide said yes Same hospital referred us to see same doctor within net work When health provider said she would be coversProvider called for approval they said that the doctor and consoling was not covered for out patient only impatient will be covedSo now we the parent have to pay 100% of costWhen we called provider to talk to some one we where on hold for minutesI gave upCalled following day still minutes on holdThe big kicker is that they will cover less our deductible if she was admitted then they will coverWHAT A JOKE OF A COMPANY!!!!!! I can see why there net worth is $billon dollarsI plan on sueing them MY ADVISE DONT DO BUISNESS WITH THEM!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a healthcare coverage from Caresources, paid the fee at the same time weeks later haven't heard or receive anything from them(enrollment package)I called the today and after one hour and fourty-five minutes on hold, they told me "your coverage was cancelled days after you enroll for some reason!?"Anything can go wrong when it comes to online transactions but if you someone buys a product from you, pays you, at least you should let them know that they're not covered instead of keeping their money and keepin your mouth shut! Also CALL WAITING TIME is ridiculously long: hour and minutes to hours, and replay ridiculous message every minutes(HOW HEALTH ARE YOU???)- now very If you're Caresource Employee/manager and reading this, Please take care of you customers(which I am no longer one of them) Thank you

Terrible companyTerrible customer serviceYou cannot get a straight answer on the phoneCalling them takes so much energy, that after the call you need doctor to ease the pain from the phone callAfter realizing that the member handbook is not explicit in what's covered, I cornered a call center supervisor to explain itShe said only routine, preventative treatment is automatically coveredEverything else requires a pre-authorization from caresourceThey expect me to remain in pain while they process the request

My wife and I have Caresource Just4Me. We live in Marysville, OH. No one in Marysville will accept it except a [redacted] . We selected it because our longtime physician was supposed to be a provider according to Caresource. Suprise - Nope. My wife had an emergency visit to [redacted] in Marysville. The Caresource handibook says it covers emergency room visits, in or out of network (minus the deductible of $3500). Nope. After fighting with them they covered $916 of a $6,900 bill. My wife also had a colonoscopy for preventative reasons, all in-network. The GI doc removed two polyps for biopsy. Common practice. Will Caresource cover it? Nope. Because the biopsy makes it a diagnostic procedure, not preventative. In regards to consumer advocation at Caresource. Forget it. You'll never speak with anyone who knows anything, nor will you ever speak to the same person twice.

THEY TELL YOU ONE THING THAN DO ANOTHER I WAS TOLD A MONTH AN THEN GET A BILL FOR TRIED CALL THEM AND GOT NO AWNSER I WOULD"NT RECCOMEND THEM TO ANYONE

There website will not allow me to list my doctor on the account My doctor is on the aproved list Monday I called after pm and went through the computer after minutes just to find the office is closed Tuesday I called and after being on hold for minutes I had to hang up to recharge my phone I called again later and I am still on hold after minutes I am begining to think no one works there they only process payments

Though there was nothing special about their benefits compared to other carriers on Marketplace I went with them for best price for what I wantedI regret itThe last three months were horrbleCouldn't pay onlineWas told three different balances in a matter of a week, and customer service was horrible

The worse customer service I ever experienced. Member service phone numbers down. Can Not even get plan information. Can Not even get a hold of anyone to pay your premiums. Why does the State of Ohio allow this to continue?

I have been with CareSource Just 4 Me for two years now, and I'm still not convinced that they are a real insurance company. They have no clue what they are doing. They literally screwed up every possible thing they could when they initially set me up as a member. And trying to get them to fix their mistakes was like pulling teeth. Their invoices never make any sense, and there is seemingly no way to get your questions answered. I called to ask a question about my bill, and after waiting 43 minutes on hold to talk to a person, the representative had absolutely no answers for me. So I asked if I could be transferred to the billing department. Her response: "We don't have a billing department." Seriously??? I asked, "What do you mean you don't have a billing department? I am receiving bills. Where are they coming from?" She just repeated herself. And she couldn't even pull up my last invoice on her computer so that she could see what I was referring to. So then I asked, "Can I fax or scan and e-mail you my invoice so that you can see what I'm seeing?" Her response: "We don't have fax and e-mail." [redacted] My next question, "What legitimate insurance company doesn't have a fax and e-mail???" She didn't answer, she merely offered me a physical address (a P.O. BOX) where I could MAIL my billing question and wait for the polar ice caps to melt to get a response. Unbelievable! So, there is no customer service, period. The only positive thing I can say about this company, is that the plan I'm on is very good about paying for my prescriptions. so sign up at your own risk and expect frustration.

Where shall I start? We bought a CareSource Low Premium Silver policy through the Marketplace, effective Jan.1. It's been terrible from the beginning. My husband called and asked for in-network providers for a certain specialty. He was given four names and contact information. Well, two of the numbers were disconnected. The third number was actually the PERSONAL cell of the doctor. The doctor was very irate and upset with my husband on the phone (understandably so), and my husband was apologetic and felt extremely uncomfortable and awkward. Okay, whatever. We were upset, but thought we'd still give it a try. You can't always predict that the total experience will be unpleasant and unprofessional based on one incident.
Well, last night, my husband cut his hand; it definitely needed stitches, and he wasn't home. So he called CareSource and asked what nearby places were in-network. He stated to the customer service representative that he needed stitches. She informed him that several clinics in Walgreens and CVS were close to him and were covered. So, with a gaping and bleeding wound, he drives in rush hour traffic to one of the locations. They inform him they don't provide stitches. Well, it would have been helpful if CareSource's service reps had known that. Isn't it their job to provide accurate and helpful information to customers who call? So he calls them again, very agitated. He is informed that a clinic near Community Hospital North is covered. So he drives, with a gaping and bleeding wound in rush hour traffic, to the clinic, parks and walks inside. The front desk employee informs him that they cover CareSource medicaid and medicare plans, but not the one we pay for. Awesome. At this point, he is beyond frustrated and furious. He calls me, and I go online to the CareSource website to find a clinic that is covered. I find one. [redacted]. I text him the address. He arrives there and they say they don't accept CareSource anymore because CaresSource doesn't pay their bills. At this point, he just gets the stitches and a tetanus shot. Out of pocket we paid $272. That is still cheaper that what we would have paid at an emergency room. That was the whole point of finding an urgent care. These people are total mns who can't even verify the information on their own website. These people are completely inept and I don't have any words. I want my $272 back.

Terrible company. Terrible customer service. You cannot get a straight answer on the phone. Calling them takes so much energy, that after the call you need doctor to ease the pain from the phone call. After realizing that the member handbook is not explicit in what's covered, I cornered a call center supervisor to explain it. She said only routine, preventative treatment is automatically covered. Everything else requires a pre-authorization from caresource. They expect me to remain in pain while they process the request.

Problems I've had with this company:

-Refund checks (as mandated by ACA) had incorrect account information
-In order to get a corrected check, they required payers to contact them
-Delayed approval/payment to doctor so long that care provider contacted me for personal payment
-Only open for calls during business hours (what about those of us that can't call from work?)
-Once I got an associate on the phone, she gave me blatantly false information--I was told I could utilize services in another state (still within Caresource services network) even thought I was waiting for the healthcare marketplace to update my resdience information from my previous state. This was the reason my payment was so delayed for service. i'm not sure because they never contacted me about it.
-Their online services NEVER WORK. Don't even bother trying to pay your bill (the balance shown will be wrong) or checking your claims (if they are listed, the "amount you may owe" will not reflect the amount the company has told the provider that you are liable for)

In summary... I am eagerly awaiting open enrollment so I can move to a reputable company that actually provides customer service and actual health insurance. I pay around $300 a month for health insurance (out of pocket) and have had nothing but trouble with this company. I'm ready to pay more for a more reputable company just to avoid this headache. Blue Cross, Anthem, (anyone else!) here I come.

I just received my 4th identical welcome packet in one month ([redacted]) after I've renewed for 2017. Yet I haven't received my December invoice, which should have arrived 3 weeks ago. What a waste of paper and postage! When I call to complain locally or to headquarters, I have to give a half dozen items of info to prove who I am, and then no one has the foggiest idea how to fix it anyway. If CareSource can't handle a simple customer mailing database and it's invoicing process, how can they possibly keep our medical records in order?

Paid for my premium in November of 2015 to start my coverage on January 1st of 2016. I paid this premium up front nearly 2 months in advance. The coverage was not cheap as I needed good insurance to cover my prescriptions. I received 2 different receipts/conformation numbers stating my coverage was paid in full for JANUARY 2016. I visit my pharmacy WITH MY NEW CARE SOURCE PROVIDED INSURANCE CARD to pick up my regular prescriptions. The pharmacist runs my new insurance info and it comes back saying I have no coverage. Not no coverage as in no prescription coverage but no coverage period. Somehow care source was able to take my money, send me a confirmation receipt and number, AND send ME an insurance card and not put me in the system. A simple call could correct this issue because I still have my receipt and confirmation number right? WRONG! Care source informs me they have no record of me, wierd because I have record of them taking my money and the insurance card they sent me. To top it off they can't "help" me until they run a search for my payment. Care source's "common practice" for this search is 30 days!! By then my coverage will be up anyway. After numerous calls and transfers I was told to pay out of pocket and submit the receipts after this has been sorted out and I'll be reimbursed. With no other option I suck it up and pay OUT OF POCKET nearly $900 for a prescription. 30 days later I hear nothing from care source so I call back. Good news, they found my payment. Bad news, I paid for coverage for the month of December 2015... Weird, all my paperwork and insurance card sent from CARE SOURCE specifically states coverage for the month of January. Now I have to wait yet another 30 days for them to investigate this issue. Thank god I didn't risk another month's worth of premium money on care source. I dropped them and went with a reputable insurance company. In the end, after waiting months for countless investigations I was finally told, "You had coverage in January, its too late to submit receipts for reimbursement. They have to be received within 90 days of the months end..." That was it. They stole my money, ran out the clock and beat me. I'm out over $1200 because of care source.
