Ms. [redacted] has an appointment at 1PM today to have her oil pan replaced at no charge today.

[redacted], the District Manager for this location has left a couple of messages with [redacted] & [redacted] and is awaiting a call back from them to discuss this further.

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. . 
First off, thank you to VIP Tires & Auto for responding so quickly. I appreciate their time and Mr.[redacted]'s time in looking into this matter further. I want to point out that I was not aware of the part being from ** Auto before I had my car serviced. As I mentioned previously, [redacted] only assured me that the part would be a [redacted] brand (OEM), which is why I agreed to have my car serviced at their location. I have included the email between me and [redacted] as an attachment for your reference. I did not find out that the part was from [redacted] and not [redacted] until after the issue was identified. Even when I first inquired about the part, [redacted] gave me a completely different part number (SAC-033081) than what Mr. [redacted] eventually confirmed to be the right one (**ssp01234). This lack of consistency in the information I was being provided is what further increased my concerns in the quality of the VIP Tires & Auto’s services. Furthermore, I want to correct the ** Auto part statement included in the response from VIP Tires & Auto. The ** Auto part representative provided the following statement “These parts are new aftermarket parts that are made by various vendors and backed with our Lifetime warranty. These parts are built to the same quality standards as your original equipment and will fit and function the same way." I have included the e-mail between me and the ** Auto part representative as an attachment for your reference. As you can see the ** Auto representative is stating that the part was built with the same quality standards and will function the same way as an OEM, but the part is still not OEM or [redacted] as communicated to me by [redacted]. I also want to add that accusing the mechanic in RI ([redacted]) of knocking the alignment out of place is not professional or necessarily accurate. Nevertheless, [redacted] was more than willing to fix the alignment but physically couldn't with the parts that were installed by VIP Tires & Auto. Therefore, I had no choice but to return to VIP Tires & Auto to make the appropriate repairs, which they did by installing additional parts (camber bolts). I asked on numerous occasions how VIP Tires & Auto was able to align my car without the camber bolts originally, but never received a straight forward answer. I would like to be refunded $413.31, the full amount difference in the price listed online ($231.95) and what I paid ($645.26). ** Auto part’s provides free standard shipping (as indicated on their website and in the attachment I provided) and I made it clear there was no urgency in repairing my vehicle so it was unnecessary for VIP Tires & Auto to pay a premium for shipping costs. I also want to reiterate that had I known the part would come from ** Auto and was not [redacted] I would not have agreed to have my car serviced at VIP Tires & Auto, I would have taken it to the [redacted] dealership and paid the premium price for genuine [redacted] parts.

The district manager for this location ([redacted]) states he spoke with Ms. [redacted] and only quoted 2 tires at that time.  One tire needed to be ordered in.  When the car arrived the rear tires were 7-8 32nds and did not need to be replaced.  No drop off form was filled out when Ms....

[redacted] left the keys the prior night or morning.  When we called Ms. [redacted] for approval on the ball joint we quoted her the new price for the added parts and it was the amount of $550.14.  4 tires without installation was $43.05 plus tax.  Installed it would have been $548.00 without alignment.  The original amount quoted on the phone with Ms. [redacted] was $380.67 for two tires and alignment and tire protection.  He has also left messages with Ms. [redacted] after receiving this message both on 9/1 and 9/2 and has yet to receive a call back.

The Manager of the Old Town VIP, [redacted] contacted Mr. [redacted] and offered to order a new part and replace it at no cost.  Mr. [redacted] was satisfied with this offer.  After a couple of days after the repair, [redacted] followed up with Mr. [redacted] to ensure...

that everything was satisfactory in which he was told that everything was operating normally and is very satisfied.

Following statement is from the Store Manager of this location:  "After I found out what had happened when [redacted] had come in I called him immediately.  I explained to him that I was the Service manager of the location and wanted to know what had happened and what I could do to take care of...

his issues.  [redacted] and I agreed on a solution entailing him coming back in to the store and talk with me only.  he agreed and when he came back for his appointment I personally did the work on his vehicle.  I exchanged the bent wheel with another and installed it on his vehicle.  [redacted] and I then inspected the new product to ensure that everything was in order and that he was happy with the service and resolution.  [redacted] said that he was happy with the way I took care of the situation and that he would be returning as a customer again.  As of the interaction that [redacted] and an employee had on social media, per [redacted]' request I had it removed and appropriate actions were taken with the employee.
