Mrs [redacted] vehicle has been repaired and she states the vehicle is running well per my last follow up with herIn addition Volvo has provided Mrs [redacted] with an extended warranty

Customer was reimbursed for batteries that the extended warranty does not coverReimbursement was a gesture of goodwillThere will be no further reimbursement

Customer has been offered two months payment reimbursement and an accessory of his choiceCustomer has excepted the offer and is happy

Customer needs to work directly with the dealership as the manufacturer does not directly diagnose vehiclesAs for the current repair needs, we cannot guarantee any owner that any vehicle will be free from repair or component replacement, especially as the vehicle ages and becomes subject to more wear and tear

I am rejecting this response because:The answer provided is inconsistent with the report provided by the dealershipIn the dealership report brakes were in "amber" or "warning" areaAnother item which was in this "amber" or "warning" area - tires (which are not covered by the warantee) - I was advised to immediately replace themHowever for brakes, which are covered by the warantee, Volvo is saying I do not need to do anything untill they go in the "red" or "fail" zoneI think this is wrong and unsafeAs a result I disagree with Volvo's response

Their answer has nothing to do with my complaintVisit to *** Volvo has nothing to do with my complaint, other than they noticed that my air filter was not replaced for over yearsAnd this fact of air filter not being replaced for over years is a root of the complaintAnd, they are factually incorrect stating that filter was replacedFilter in question is still in the carAs per your recommendation, I escalated this issue to the NJ Attorney General consumer protection bureau.

because:As Bay Ridge Volvo clearly stated in their report, 5mm is a "caution" status and when it will be 3mm, it would constitute "failed" statusDriving with failed brakes is unacceptable.In addition, on the other item from the inspection that was rated as "caution" and which is not covered by the warranty - tires - dealership advised that I need to immediately replace the tires.So it looks like if item is not under warranty, the advice is to replace the item when it is "caution" (which really means "about to fail very soon")And this makes perfect sense.But for items that are under warranty, they want item to fail before replacing itAnd waiting for the brakes to fail before replacing them is not acceptable.As a result I reject Volvo's response

Mr***' XChad partially clogged sunroof drains which ultimately led to the cabin air filter getting wetThe cabin air filter was not replaced because it was dirty; It was replaced because it got wetThe warranty and records information booklet indicates the cabin air filter should be checked every 15,miles; this is not covered under the factory scheduled maintenance and is at the customer's request/expense

Customer will be provided $reimbursement check from Volvo Cars USA, for not receiving $gift card for test drive

In response to the above named complaintVolvo will continue to honor the warrantyVolvo is not in a position to repurchase this vehicle

Upon inspection of the brakes at B[redacted], the rear brake pads measured 5mm of depth, which is still a functioning brake pad depth and does not indicate operation failure. The Safe and Secure warranty covers replacement when the brake pad depth measures below 3mm. This warranty expired on this vehicle on 07/04/2016

Volvo declined replacing engine as vehicle is well beyond the warranty parameters.  Volvo offered to financially assist customer to a new car and she declined.

Customer has never contacted this office with any repair concern. Vehicle is a 2013 not a 2012. Have opened a case to review. Will send follow up as soon as more information becomes available.

I am rejecting this response because: I believe that Volvo SHOULD and WILL take the car back. Due to difficulties with Albany and...

Wrappinger Falls Locations I now have to travel 2 more hours out of my way for the incompetent and ignorance of Volvo and them stating that it is impossible for the cars to have electrical issue since they are the #1 CAR ON THE MARKET! I do not want this car, I will take it back to HVV and leave it there and ill send Volvo Corp the Bill for my LOAN! This is very unacceptable, I tell everyone I can to STAY AWAY FROM A POOR MADE CAR COMPANY! I'm Glad ford got rid of them they would have lost a lot of business. MY grandfather a ford retiree is right, BUY AMERICAN not an expensive overly price piece of junk!
