Mr [redacted] Thank you for reaching out to notify us of the situation regarding your claim It our goal at CarSure to provide our customers with exceptional customer service and to ensure that when those unfortunate events happen and your car is in need of repair, that the policy operates as it shouldOne of the primary qualifications for a claim to be paid is for that claim to first be pre-approved by the administrator The reason the policies have this provision is to ensure that the repair facility you choose is performing all necessary repairs as well as charging their customers appropriately for the repairs being completedCompare the pre-approval with the administrator to having a medical procedure pre-approved by your insurance carrier – it’s somewhat standard practice.That being said and understanding the situation you have been dealing with, our Head of Customer Service contacted the administrator directly with a request that they [redacted] an exception to this pre-approval provision From the $that the facility charged, your claim is being covered accordingly: $for parts and labor + $for the diagnosis - $deductible = total payout of $ We typically see the cost for alternators for your vehicle ranging anywhere from $to $for the part itself It appears as though your repair facility charged $for the alternator which is well above what is covered for that specific part, which explains the difference in claim payout You should have already received that check in the mail for $as it was mailed on 2/9/In the future, please contact us prior to any claims submission to ensure we can do our very best to minimize any potential out of pocket costs that may occurWe apologize for the inconvenience and frustration that you’ve gone through during this processBest of luck to you in the future! In response to the case listed above, we at Repair Defense Network (the marketer of the policy) contacted the administrator
(underwriter who handles claims) about the claim filed on the 23rd SeptemberThe repair facility did call in the claim to American Auto Shield (administrator) for a check engine lightWhen the inspector went to the repair facility, the repair facility was unable to show any failure with the vehicleWith the repair facility not being able to demonstrate a failure they could not move forward with the claim
The fee charged to the consumer from the repair facility was for a diagnostic testThose are covered under the policy in conjunction with a failureWith the shop not being able to duplicate the failure, the diagnostic test as not coveredAs it stands, this claim is still in an open status and if the shop / consumer can show a failure, the claim could proceed
At Repair Defense Network, we strive at providing the highest level of customer serviceWe have no say in the adjudicating of claims but want to make sure the customer is satisfiedWe have done as requested and cancelled the policyA refund check for 100% of what was paid in will be sent to the customerPlease let us know if we can assist any further

As such we are uncertain as to whether Ms*** may have received multiple offers from multiple providersAdditionally, the fact that Ms*** indicated that she received multiple inbound phone calls to her telephone number leads us to believe that Ms*** has directed her complaint to the wrong company. We say this because Repair Defense Network does not make any outbound sales calls. Rather the only sales calls Repair Defense Network handles are those in which individuals call into our company expressing an interest in the services we provide. That said our company wishes to address Ms***s concerns.
