ID# [redacted] This letter is in response to a complaint referenced by ID [redacted] According to the guest her Ford Focus has had multiple issues with the transmissionThe guest brought her vehicle in on October 5, stating the vehicle would not go into reverse and that it would not accelerate over mphAt that time Elmore Toyota provided a rental car, at no charge to the guest, and sent the vehicle to Ford to have it inspectedBeing that we are a Toyota Dealer we do not have the ability or authorization to perform warranty work for another vehicle manufacturerThe Focus was sent to [redacted] where they verified the issue and replaced the ECU, rear main transmission seal, and the dual clutch assembly under warrantyIt appears that the vehicle had a similar issue in January of and the guest took her vehicle to [redacted] Ford in Torrance and they again replaced the dual clutch assemblyIn reference to the radio issue, we would recommend that the guest have the vehicle inspected by a Ford dealership since they would be able to minimize any time needed for repair or replacement seeing that they would have the ability to procure necessary parts directly from Ford Elmore Toyota contacted both [redacted] and *** [redacted] Ford Torrance and verified that the above stated repairs were performed, minus the radio since it has not been inspectedWe were also informed that this is a common issue with this vehicle and that Ford is aware and has a longer warranty than on the dual clutch and control unit [redacted] has informed Elmore Toyota that if the guest would like to take the vehicle in to them they would gladly inspect itIf the issue persists, and is verified, they can install another dual clutch if needed

The customers APR is .9% I don’t know what the issue would be on thatWe have a copy of the Vietnamese contract with all of the our paperwork, so it was in the deal, I’d be happy to send them another copy(our system print out copies of the contracts, one for our files and one for the customer) The year Autocare maintenance is complimentary and given to all new car customers through Toyota, yes they have it

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.The resolution by Elmore has only been resolved 50% The $promise to credit my Toyota Finicial Credit balance has been performed by the dealership As part of my overall complaint of Elmore's business practice requiring me to cancel unwanted add on options has not yet been deposited in my account I was promised a day to week processing time to complete the refund of my wheel and tire warranty program Now days later my account has not yet been credited the $add on fee for the wheel and tire warranty that I have canceled My cancelation of this wheel and tire warranty was submitted the same day that the $refund agreement was reached.If I had not filed this Revdex.com complaint about being overcharged for my vehicle I would have never known that Elmore informed True Car buyer service that the price they sold me the Prius C was in fact $less than the actual price they sold me the car So, as far as True Car was concerned they were under the impression that Elmore honored their promise of selling me the Prius C at a reasonable price, but in fact Elmore deceived True Car saying that I saved $when in fact Elmore was taking my $and pocketing that $Thankfully I took the time and energy and filed my Revdex.com complaint I got the $Elmore had been keeping from me Although I have now received the $I would have NEVER received my $had it not been for my persistence and the filing of this Revdex.com Thanks for the help and making Elmore credit the money that should have been mine the day of the sale.Now I wait for my $refund of the cancellation of the tire and wheel warranty, and until I receive that credit, this case will still remain openAm I happy with the resolution of my complaint? Well, I can live with it, but Elmore has made me aware that Elmore is in business solely to make a profit without any concern for honest truthful business practices Regards, [redacted] ***

[Everything that Elmore Toyota has said was a lie, they are trying to do a covof the actual story that has happenedFor one the 3rd party company(wheel part out in Santa Ana) did not say that they wanted to repair the lightsThey specifically said to go back to the dealership to ask the dealership to order new lightsElmore is one of the most corrupted company I have ever dealt withNot only do they try to cover up their stories, they also disclosed private information on a public website about meThis company needs to be rechecked before allowing to sell to the public, the whole management department needs to be retrained]

I tried to call Carlos back several times and he was unavailable-with a customer or in a meeting per the rep I spoke to I would like a complete refund and the money from my coverage that was supposed to be used towards my service can be used towards the services provided.

[The following is my response to the businessAlthough the response the business gave is true, the business selectively left out the facts that I was the one that had to personally resolve and drive the issueAt first, I had called Elmore Toyota for my initial complaint and asked to be called back by the service department managerI never received a callIn response, I had to call Elmore Toyota again and eventually was able to reach the service advisor who was the subject of my complaintAfter my stern and vigorous response to the service advisor, they told me that the claim was not going to be processedElmore Toyota is not apologetic and continued to press that I should not complain since the insurance company "wants" people to claim these repairs and that is ok since the repair is "at no cost to me"Elmore Toyota ignores the fact that this deceptive practice is a form of insurance fraud and that it affects everyone insurance rates since they are taking advantage of an insurance benefit which raises rates for everyone. By no means was this an issue that Elmore Toyota wanted to resolve- I had to continue pressing on to get any resolution.I also lodged a complaint with Toyota CorporateI received a message from Toyota Corporate that they contacted Elmore Toyota and that they would give me a call to discuss my complaint by a certain dateThat date has passed and I have not received a call.]

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Perhaps the person taking care of this case is not serious about resolving it at allDetails about my visit to talk with regional manager are in my first complaintI'm writing it out again here.I feel deceived and I came back to Elmore Toyota the following day to review this, and to offer to pay off in cash the original amountI talked to the manager that dayHe printed out a summary of my purchase for discussionI went over the calculation with him but he refused to listenAll he did was pointing to the summary and said that everything was very transparentThere were things going on hereFirst, I did not get to see the contract until after I signedSecond, the APR calculation was way too misleadingHe just kept saying that there is nothing he can do, that summary was faxed to Toyota, and that everything was very transparent about my purchaseHe said that “they didn’t even sell you Toyota care”Now I’m not sure if I have the year / 25,miles complimentary maintenance anymore.By that time, it’s pretty clear that the manager refused to do anything about thisI was thinking about what I could possibly do next when he suddenly got up and said that he’ll be backWhen he’s back, I asked to see the paper again because I was not sure about the calculationHe said that he disposed of that and there is no way I could see itThis is “transparent” beyond imaginationTo end our discussion, he told me that the salesman told me everything, it’s my fault for not listeningIn addition, if I did my research, I’d know that the invoice price is not highThere is no way to disprove his first statementHis second one, however, to his surprise, I showed him the printout from *** and *** right thereKBB showed $28,- $29,range, and Costco $29,at the timeThis manager just stared at me and said that my price "was not high, it was really not high, and that there was nothing they could do, OK?"To sum up, regional manager refused to answer my question regarding misleading calculation from Elmore Toyota and the promise of free alarm setupHe then then blamed me for not listening (which I cannot prove nor disprove) and for not doing research (which I disproved him right away by showing the current fair purchase price from multiple websites).I am saying this again explicitly: I am NOT happy with my purchaseI am very dissatisfied with the way Elmore Toyota conducts business and handles complaint.Let me know if this is clear to you, and whether you have good faith this issue

Elmore Toyota called and left a message for the Service Director at Huntington Beach Ford on the week of August 22nd requesting information regarding the vehicleThe Service director at Huntington Beach Ford called back and left a message stating that the vehicle was done and had already been picked up by the guest

Unfortunately Elmore Toyota can not respond to this complaint. Ms*** has stated she is seeking legal counsel
We would only like to respond that we did nothing wrong and that her deal was not profitable

Our Service Director spoke to the guest regarding the charge in questionHe explained that we did perform the service that was recommended on a mileage basisThe service that she had a coupon for was for a different mileage interval and Toyota said that even though it was out by mileage, it would still be honoredThe guest can still use that service in the future and we are willing to give the guest a $refund for any misunderstanding or miscommunication
