Wayzata Nissan, LLC Reviews (32)

I have been receiving spam emails from Wayzata Nissan for weeks. As recommened in the emails, I have repeatedly replied with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line, but continue to receive the spam. The last time, I replied and warned the company that I would file a complain with the Revdex.com if it continued. A couple days later, I received another one, and continue to receive them every few days.

This is for a 2007 Jeep Patriot purchased from Wayzata Nissan in August, 2016.
Problems with the car:
• Understood the car was sold “as-is” but there were glaring problems and with the safety issues alone, the car should have never been sold in this condition.
• Wayzata Nissan sales guy said all sorts of things, but suspect he was lying when he said the vehicle was “going to the auction the next day”. Follow-up service to get the tabs promised was not acceptable. Promise to provide a second key was rejected, claiming this was not discussed.
• My son, who is 17, was most likely preyed upon as an easy target to sell this car to, as he was treated in ways an adult most likely wouldn’t have been. To add to this, my wife had to go down to help close the deal due to work commitments I had. We all know how car dealers (especially used car salesmen) handle women customers – this combination was perfect for their used car sales person to unload a vehicle that had significant problems that a competent service department would have found on an inspection.
• Dealer did not provide a paper copy of the inspection report, despite this being requested. Some lame excuses provided.
• The “Inspection” done at Wayzata Nissan was very, very poor. Some obvious things needed to be done (brakes). But after we got the car, began repairs and discovered very obvious problems were missed:
o Tie rod was very loose on the front driver’s side – there was mention the tie rod was probably bad, but the level of movement was extreme – this alone was a major safety issue and the car should have NEVER been put on the lot to be sold. Our mechanic who is a suspension expert confirmed this and was disappointed a car like this would be sold like this.
o As the tie rod was being replaced and torqued to specs on the steering knuckle, the steel cracked. When replacing the steering knuckle and CV axle (due to rust, not able to get the nut off), found the anti-lock brake was not functional, this should have been caught and is another Safety issue where this vehicle shouldn’t have been put on the road. The anti-lock worked on the other side, so an uneven match that could have not gone well during the winter.
o Rear passenger wheel bearing was shot, very easy to tell when the vehicle was put up on the jack and the wheel moved back & forth during the check. The significant noise from the rear was greatly reduced once it was replaced.
o Rear differential was leaking, very obvious when looking under the vehicle, again, no mention of this and it most likely needs new seals
o Transmission – Service department did not check fluid levels (car has no dipstick) and on a follow-up inspection with a competent service department (Jeep dealer), a noise was detected during the road test and the transmission most likely will need to be replaced.
o Check engine light that was on – we knew from this original inspection the downstream O2 sensor had to be replaced, but wound up needing to replace the upstream O2 sensor and the light was still on (and still is). The advanced diagnostic done at the Jeep dealer said the catalytic converter was good and it pointed to an issue with the fuel filler and possible leak there. Again, just the basic diagnostic was done, should have noted more potential issues than just a sensor replacement.
o Tires – Incomplete inspection – the proper inspection showed the tires were cupping due to bad alignment and two of the four rims are cracked. This has also been a major source of noise. Had the alignment checked when looking for replacement tires and found the vehicle is badly out of alignment, explaining why tires are cupped and more road noise.
• In the past, I have bought used cars from dealers and generally have had favorable results. This experience with Wayzata Nissan is the worst I have had and it was exacerbated by a salesperson taking advantage of my son and wife to unload a car that really was unsellable and should have never been put out on the lot due to glaring safety issues. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone, for used or new cars, as they cannot be trusted and are not concerned at all about safety or customer service, especially to teenagers and women. Stay away from this dealer!

I had a wonderful experience working with Alex Z[redacted] at Wayzata Nissan when purchasing our car. He was very professional, helpful, knowledgeable and kind. We look forward to purchasing more cars and sharing his information with our friends and family!
Thank you Alex!

I bought my Sentra from Chris Miller 5 years ago!! He and all the others there are so helpful and knowledgeable. Have worked with Chris Miller, Tom, and Colton, they are all always more than happy to help answer questions. Steve and Liz have always taken care of me in service. I would happily do business with Wayzata Nissan and Chris again. 103,000 miles and still going strong.

I had an excellent experience with Matthew B*** at Wayzata Nissan. I am looking to buy very soon and I will be going there to see him. Thank You

I have a great experience at wayzata nissan with the salesperson Molly G[redacted] she really understood my buying needs was low pressure and an absolute blast to work with I would request her for anyone in the market looking for vehicles

I was in the market looking for a different car. I didn't really know what I was looking for. I went in to Wayzata Nissan and Paul B. helped me and he was very knowledgeable about all the cars and I am very happy with the Altima that he helped me select.

Its been a few weeks of blessed silence, but the spam from this dealership has begun again. Do NOT give this business your email address, you will never hear the end of it.

We have received the customers request for a refund on their Service Agreement. The refund process typically takes about 6-8 weeks to complete and is calculated on the pro rated usage based on time and mileage. The amount the warranty...

company came back with was $530.25-$50.00 Cancellation fee which leaves $480.25 for refund. This amount was based on the cancellation date you provided us in April. Due to the long wait time Wayzata Nissan will pay for your cancellation fee of $50.00. This will bring your refund total to $530.25. We Thank you and hope we can do business again in the near future.
Please call us with any questions.

I met with the customer and she had some concerns regarding the lender (Nissan) used to secure financing. There was a dispute over money owed on a previous lease and some concerns over outstanding payments on a new vehicle. I connected...

with the lender and shared the customer concerns with them. It was our understanding the lender was going to update the account to reflect zero dollars owed by the customer and the same time update the credit reports as requested by the customer . I've forwarded the contact information of a person at the lender the customer could speak directly with in case there were more questions or concerns. It is our understanding that the customer and lender are now in contact and the customer requested letter from the lender is in the process of being sent out. We have already compensated the customer about $450 in an effort maintain customer satisfaction with Wayzata Nissan over this dispute with the lender. We are truly sorry about any inconvenience experienced with us or the lender and hope to do business again in the future.

I have been leasing cars with Wayzata Nissan for 3 years now and have had nothing but the best service and experience. My sales rep, Chris Miller, goes above and beyond to make sure my car needs are met. The entire staff makes me feel confident in my decision to use and continue to use Wayzata Nissan. I never leave feeling as if my needs were not met or unhappy with my experience.
