#FEFEFE">We sent the following responseI am attempting a second timeRevdex.comServing Western PennsylvaniaHoliday Drive, Suite 220Pittsburgh, PA To Whom It May Concern, I am writing in response to [redacted] ’s complaint dated 7/8/ [redacted] claims that he gave accurate information concerning his [redacted] Work Truck and would like us to make a billing adjustment Prior to [redacted] ’s appointment we attempted to contact him to get his Vehicle Identification Number in order to take a closer look at his valuation The vehicle and trim with options, in addition to the rare mileage, was uncommon so we wanted to make sure that we had the most accurate price for this vehicle before [redacted] came to the branch Unfortunately, [redacted] did not call us back with the VIN before showing up to his appointment the following day Once [redacted] showed up we were able to obtain the VIN and get his vehicle properly priced through our pricing and remarketing teams As it turns out [redacted] not only entered in the wrong year but also the wrong trim level This made the truck go from an SLT trim to an SL In this situation, we had to drop the price of the vehicle due to its rare nature and lack of significant data In the unique case that we have a vehicle with little to no data to accurately price we do everything in our power to let the customer know before arriving for their appointment Our website clearly states that valuations are provided as an estimate for information purposes only and do not constitute an offer from the webuyanycar.com car buying service to purchase any vehicle Valuations are based on the limited information we collect form you online and market information about your vehicle (which, for some makes, models and years, can be limited) As a result, the valuation may be adjusted ant the webuyanycar.com car buying service’s discretion at any time, including prior to or during our in-branch inspection of the vehicle At webuyanycar.com we pride ourselves in our customer service and a transparent process We buy thousands of cars each week and it is our goal to completely satisfy each customer, by offering a fast, safe and fair way to sell their vehicles At no time is a customer under any obligation to sell his or her vehicle In closing I would like to offer [redacted] a $gift card for his time wasted on the condition that he marks this complaint as resolved With kind regards, Vince A***Regional Vice President - Operations P: ###-###-####C: ###-###-####F: ###-###-####NProvidence Rd Suite Media, PA 19063-

Dear [redacted] First, we are sorry that you lost your fatherI can only imagine how difficult this must beWe are sorry that there was a miscommunication The sale of a deceased person's vehicle is slightly complex because of the paperwork required by regulations. At your request, we did reach out to you and then we missed your return phone callWe continued to reach out to you but haven't been able to reach youI can imagine that you are really busy, so please feel free to reach out to me at any time.Best Regards,Vince A***VP-Regional Operations

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: webuyanycar is a bait and switch companyMy letter proves it and the Revdex.com needs to take a side of either I am wrong or they areIf a company web site offers $17,for a vehicle and when you go to sell your car you get an offer of $11,500.00, then that is bait and switchThe company says the matter is closedI agreeWebuyanycar is a bait and switch company that should loose its Revdex.com rating Regards, [redacted]

Dear ***,We are very sorry that you feel this way and have your car waitingPlease bring back the check and we will take care of youWe never ever want a customer to feel like they had to sell their car to usWe want every customer to be a happy customerOur business relies on having a great
reputation and being ethical. When you completed your online valuation, you didn't complete the questions regarding the cosmetic and mechanical condition of your father's carAs such, and as disclosed on our website, we do an inspection of the vehicle and will adjust the purchase price accordinglyThis is why we want every customer to complete the questionnaire on the website.I am so sorry that we were not able to make you and your dad a satisfied customer and I am very sorry to hear about the issues you are going through at this timeYou certainly don't need any other troublesWe will be waiting for you and get you in and out of the door quickly.Best,Vince A***Regional Vice Presidentwebuyanycar.com

Well they don't buy any car I have a dodge pick up call for the estimate told me they don't do classic cars I said it's old but needs work ask what the milage is told him 278,but the odometer only shows the first numbers because that's all dodge put in there he said he can do anything because can't prove milage well I can help that they only put numbers in the gauge so they lie they don't buy any car

I met with the We Buy Any Car rep at the Coraopolis, PA location on Feb for the purpose of trying to sell a car that was inherited from my mom upon her death Upon inspection by this rep, it turned out that the car has severe rust damage to the undercarriage With my wife and I sitting in front of the rep, he called his "pricing" guy to see what they would be offer When he got off the phone, he said $scrap value would be the best they could do I told him that I would be back in touch as I wanted to weigh all options The rust damage was confirmed by my mechanic so on Feb 29, just two days after meeting with this gentleman, I called to see if the $offer was still on the table He responded by saying that he did not quote $and the best he would be able to do is $ Needless to say, this is not the way to do business so we are going to donate the car to charity I will never attempt to do business with this company again and would not refer them to anyone

Great outcomeWe are buying his car and he is very very happyWe always want to do the right thing

Dear *** ***,I am sorry that you were not happy with the amount of money we could give you for your carWe can only give you an accurate value for your car if you disclose all of the issues in our reconditioning wizard onlineYou didn't disclose anything at all about the condition of your
car.We pride ourselves in being transparent and thus we called you before you spent your time driving to our location, so that we could make sure we knew exactly what was wrong with your car, since you didn't disclose anythingAfter getting the full details, we were transparent on the amount we could pay and explained the fees to youYou will also note that every single page of our website discloses our policies and fees and how we can only give you an accurate value if you tell us about the condition of your car.As such, we are already doing what you are suggesting as a resolution.Kind regards,Vince A***VP-Regional Operations

Just stopped in to get a estimate on a vehicle for sale and had an awful experience trying to get information...Appraiser Craig was incredibly condescending in answering my questions and seemed quite annoyed by me asking if he could give a more concise estimate rather than one he "guesstimated." Retorted he's been in the business for so many years, blah, blah, blah - not the right way to deal with customers especially when they have right to ask for something more formalWould not recommendShould not be difficult to ask for information so that customers can make a proper and informed decisionCompletely Appalling!
Branch Location: Butler Plank Road, Glenshaw, PA UPDATE - CLAIM BY THE COMPANY THAT I WAS NEVER THERE - UNACCEPTABLE & UNBELIEVEABLE
I was just there with my husband, Zachary, this afternoon and spoke to a representative on the phone who then put us in touch with Craig at the location address noted aboveWE BUY ANY CAR took down my legitimate review on their Facebook page citing that I was never there or a customer SHAME ON YOU for telling a lie and saying otherwise to try and manipulate the reviews

RE: ID

Dear ***,
I am writing in response to *** ***’s complaint dated 2/21/15. *** booked an appointment for her
*** *** on 2/9/for 2/21/15. Ms
*** claims that we had an “estimate error” on our website that reduced the
price of her vehicle “up to 34%.” While
researching her valuation it turns out that Ms***’s vehicle was involved in
an accident and was reported to *** AutoCheck on 1/10/(see attached). The accident history reported in 2012,
unfortunately, has an adverse effect on the value of her vehicle. The reduction in price is more commonly known
as “Diminishment of Value”Please see the attached information*** can also
speak with her insurance agent about “Diminishment of Value” Basically, the Dealers that buy our cars will
not pay as much for a vehicle if it has “Accident History” reported on either
an *** AutoCheck or *** report, regardless of the level of information
provided on the report As a consumer,
if you found out that a car you were going to buy was in some sort of accident,
would you be willing to buy that car or pay as much for that car? You might just
decide on another car on a Dealers’ lot that didn’t have “Accident History”
This often times makes these cars very difficult for Dealers’ to sell and thus
they must reduce the selling price of the carNewer car’s value drops
significantly more than an older, less valuable, carAs such, the accident
history adjustment will vary based on the value and condition of the car we are
assessingAs such the estimate may change based on these factors once we
inspect the car at our branch
To ensure that we are 100% transparent, when a customer
checks a box on our website that an accident was reported on the car, a box
pops up to notify the customer that the value of the vehicle may change at the
branch upon inspection due to this accident history
Our website also clearly states that “valuations are
provided as an estimate for information purposes only and do not constitute an
offer from the webuyanycar.com car buying service to purchase any vehicle. Valuations are based on the limited
information we collect from you online and market information about your
vehicle (which, for some makes, models and years, can be limited). As a result, the valuation may be adjusted at
the webuyanycar.com car buying service’s discretion at any time, including
prior to or during our in-branch inspection of the vehicle. At webuyanycar.com we pride ourselves in our
customer service and a transparent process.
We buy thousands of cars each week and
it is our goal to completely satisfy each customer, by offering a fast, safe
and fair way to sell their vehicles. At
no time is a customer under any obligation to sell his or her vehicle.”
We are sorry that
the experience was not what you had expected
With kind
regards,
Vince A***Regional Vice President - Operations

Dear ** ***,I am so sorry that this happened to youWhen you called on the 25th, another associate from a nearby branch took and made a mistake and failed to pass the message along to SteveOn the 26th, the Branch was closed as it is closed every TuesdayHowever, Daniel called you back
based on your messageDaniel did not know if the car had been picked up as he was at a nearby branchWhen Steven returned, he saw in our system that a call was made to you and thus thought the issue was resolved, without digging into the details and following up with DanielI spoke with Steve and he was very apologetic that he dropped the ball and his Area Manager spoke with him in detail on how we can do better. Unfortunately, once the car is picked up, which is always within hours, we are not able to recover itemsWe always try but we are told that all items are removed from the vehicle and disposed of as they get so many items that are left in cars that it would be difficult to manage a lost and found systemCustomers often leave their ** *** in there car and we are never able to recover them but we try.I will reach out to you by phone today to rectify.Again, our sincere apologies.Vince A.VP-Operations

September 15, Dear ***,
Thank you for connecting me on the phone with your daughterAfter speaking with her, we cut a check for the $difference and put it in today's mailAfter speaking with her, we believe that the difference
between your understanding that the payment would be for $450, and the actual payment having been $150, was due to language differencesRegardless, we spoke with our branch manager to make sure that we always present a written offer, with a full listing of items that need to be reconditioned on the vehicle, to ensure that we are on the same page as our customerWe don't take the word "scam" lightlyHonesty and integrity are of the utmost importance to the future success of our businessIf you have a chance to read our Trustpilot reviews as well, you will see how many people feel that we characterize these traitsWe are glad that we were able to resolve this issue to your satisfactionThank you,

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:in the business response they cite the correct fact that I made several errors in entering the information. This is why I had the manager of webuyanycar, Dana A[redacted] do another evaluation while I was there. When Dana entered all the correct information, his value on the price of my truck was $17,300.00  Once again, this was the senior branch manager that came up with this quote-while I was in his office-after he had done a complete evaluation of my truck. Therefor the price should have been very close to a correct quote if their web site is even close to correct. Dana offered me $11,500.00 and told me I should accept his offer, and not have to drive home. This is clearly a bait and switch. A high offer to get the client to come to the office, then an offer of nearly six thousand less to buy the truck. When I told Dana that this was a very large difference in what was quoted and the price he offered, he said"You can not believe our web site"  That is an exact quote of what the manager told me. If clients can not trust the web site, the web site should be updated. If low miles on my truck could throw off their quote-then, again, update your web site. To use a web site that quotes $5,800.00 difference on a $17,300.00 is simply bait and switch tactics.  If webuyanycar wants to resolve this dispute, they should improve their offer to come closer to the price their web site , with the managers assistance, quoted to me. If they want to stay firm on their offer-then they need to admit they use bait and switch tactics to do business. I did not expect to get $17,300.00 for the truck. I did expect to get a fair offer based on the price that the company web site gave to me.

Sir,Depending on what time of year you choose to sell your car, the value will vary. The car market is seasonal (spring and summer markets). Regardless, your valuation was not $6,000 over two years. Cars depreciate and the more miles you put on the car, the more the value decreases. Also, you never...

brought your car in for an inspection over the two years, so it is unfair of you to say that it was worth $4,000 or $6,000.The values given by [redacted] Book did not take into consideration your accident and the significant damage to your car.A dealer will tell you that they are giving you more for your car but then take advantage of you on the purchase price and add on items (e.g. warranty, etc). If you visit our website, you will see the research study performed by USC that proves that dealers take advantage of consumers by playing the shell game. You don't need to take our word for it.You state that other websites talk about us having a bad reputation. This is completely false. If you visit [redacted], you will see that we have a 9.2 consumer rating over thousands of reviews. No matter what business you are in, there will always be someone that doesn't agree with you and wants to be heard. We love having feedback like the Revdex.com, as it helps us get better at what we do. We would love to give you more money if your car didn't have all of the issues.  You didn't tell us about all of these issues on the website. We can only given you a valuation based on the information you provided to us.Thank you,Vince A[redacted]VP- Regional Branch Operations
