No stars. Many promises made but not kept. Order wrong from the start with wrong color fixtures being ordered. Lots of delays and worst of all, when final payment was finally done, I was told lap top was "not working" and that receipt and warranties would be provided "immediately after getting back to the office". That was over a month ago and I will have not received receipt or warranties.
Avoid this company.

First I will say that the installation of the remodeling of bathroom was nicely done. My complaint is that the sales rep figured out what the cost would be and we got the paperwork explaining it. Then he called to say some changes were reviewed with his boss, and he could save us some money. That’s a good thing...right?
We’ve made several calls to sales rep to get the revised changes and have not received anything. This is not a good business practice, he told my husband he’ll get right on it to send the paperwork. 2 weeks later we have received nothing. I’m pretty sure they got their money already. Before we even decided to go with the project, I told the sales rep that we have had projects done before and have had problems and didn’t want the same thing to happen with this. He said that BJ the owner stands behind his company. Well what happened??

We ordered the door in april, the door was almost 7k. The first door failed county inspection, waited 8 weeks for the 2nd door, they installed it and it's been a problem since...they chipped the deadbolt and put nails all in the Inside trim, bubbled the outside trim and the weather stripping allows water in..this is suppose to be a solid door!! They have come out numerous times ,which we have to arrange our schedules) to try to fix things and always have an excuse..no one communicates with the techs...they promise to fix things and it never gets done correctly.

Hello, after speaking with the GM it appears that shipment of the new casing will occur this week, and the project will be completed shortly following.

I am rejecting this response because: installer came, placed trim and trim fell off within 2 hours, so now waiting until Thursday the 17th.

Worst company ever. Appointment was made for my installation for July 22 and July 23. Promise on TV commercials says 1, maybe 2 days for installation. I arranged to be off from work for this 2 day installation. After 2 days, work not completed. I arranged to be off from work again. The installer informs me that they do not have the material that I picked out. I should have been informed of this when the appointment was made. I was told that they have a similar color. I called Jeff Fitch and no return call. Work not completed after 3 days. Informed West shore homes that during tear out of bathroom, living room wall was damaged. West shore stated that they would have sheet rock installer and bathroom installer to come August 5th and 6th.Made arrangements to be off for 2 more days to have installation completed. On 4th day, installer works from 9-6, states that he may not be the installer that comes tomorrow. On next day, installer is no call, no show. I called Jeff F and informed him that installers did not show up. I was told that he would call his guys and find out where they were. I asked him to call me back. No return call. I have had 2 companies to come and give me an estimate. Both companies noticed that the p trap was not installed. This can cause dangerous toxic fumes to come into house and kill us. I have lost thousands of dollars by taking off from work for an install that never happened. It is going to cost me thousands of dollars to have my wall repaired and to have my bathroom completed. Also, my toilet was destroyed during the tear out. Worst company ever. They want to charge professional prices, but nothing is professional about this company. They should lose their license for false advertising and for unqualified installers. A 1 is too high of a rating for this company.

Ok I had my 11 new windows and door installed on July 2nd and the crew on the job very kind, informative and hard at work.
Results 1 window came cracked the guys circles it on took pics of it so it can reordered and replaced. The bedroom window cracked because installer tripped and fell on it. So at the end of the day the lead called his manager John had him on speaker and discussed what happened and he was supposedly writing this down and again the crew team member took photos of the window. I asked how long will it take for replacement and mgr on the phone said 2 to 3 weeks. Ok, heard nothing from WSH for a month and get a call last week saying vendor rejecting order and need to have mgr John come out to measure window. Ok this becoming a pain. Mgr scheduled to come out 10am.
NO SHOW and its 1040 and I have things to do so when I don't get a call or communication from the MANAGER that he's running late that's rude poor customer service and I just lost my respect for this company. Mgr calls me at 10 45 saying I'm here and I just let him have it on the phone cause I was gone already.
So my 5 star review I made on home advisor will change to a 2 because of this. Issue still not resolved. The ladies in the office are nice said mgr will be off for a week and he is the only one that can come.
Moral of story don't review a company until all is done. Review the punctuality and work.
I emailed the owner BJ on LinkedIn and I hope he replies back.

While we're very happy with the end result--our bathtub replacement with a walk-in shower--the process wasn't as great as in the reviews below. I believe we could have had it done less expensively and more smoothly. I usually research things pretty well before contracting for work, but I didn't this time--just believed what they told me up front.

Consumer Contractor Nightmare
To whom it may concern:
The initiation of this letter is out of complete frustration of dealing with West Shore Home and a plea for help. West Shore Home was hired by both my mother and I to install two bathrooms in our Atlanta home for around $14K. What started as a simple 2-Day project has turned into a “3 Month Nightmare”, damaged and abandoned job site leaving my mother and I stranded with the cost of repair renovations to fix their negligence. West Shore has offered to partially settle, however the amount only covers the approximate $14K leaving us with the cost of fixing the property damage left behind. The damage includes but is not limited to property damage, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, personal loss, diminished property value and stress, cost of demolition and finishing the project.
Brief Synopsis of Events:
-April 10, 2019 Initial WSH Salesperson Visit

- April 11, 2019, Breach of Contract. WSH illegally takes $3791.00 out of our personal bank account without permission or our knowledge weeks before even being put on the schedule for installation. Contract says no money down meaning no deposit required. Money illegally taken twice and refunded on two separate occasions involuntarily on West Shore Home’s behalf.

-Day 1 and Day 2 (April 24-25, 2019). One of the installation teams damages the Master Bath by destroying 1960’s tile. They knock a huge hole into MBD wall, vandalized and illegally obtained entry though crawlspace door by tearing off the lock. Left trash inside crawl space area and outside throughout various locations on the lawn. Damaged vapor barrier.

-April 26, 2019. Our Wells Fargo Project Account card charged $9900 and our personal account charged a second time for $3791.00 for a job not completed nor signed off on.

-May 2, 2019. GM Mr. Brian K visits the property for an assessment. I have video of GM promises with his permission given at time of taping. We all agree the 2nd team did a really horrible job which called for complete demolition and removal of tub and panels in MB. Attention and emphasis to fix deficiencies in hall bath as well. We agreed to a resolution to cover the entire blue tile in the master bathroom with waynes coating, new satin nickel hardware valves and curtain rods. There was also a $500 credit for our inconvenience.

-May 22, 2019. Technician begins removing tub, toilets and vanities from galvanized pipes, cutting and capping pipes. Technician is not a licensed plumber.

-June 4-5, 2019. Installation of new tub and panels along waynes coating installation begins in addition to other items discussed. Two technicians onsite.

-June 10-11, 2019. Return visit from previous two technicians to continue on resolution project. At the end of the day job not completed, tub/tub panels install incomplete, waynes coating project incomplete and looks horrible. Craftsmanship is very poor. MB is missing entire window casing along with other missing items in both bathrooms. One toilet installed in hall bathroom and now mysteriously leaking, other toilet never installed in MBA, new hole in master bedroom wall, electrical issues as a result of improper medicine cabinet removal (lights no longer working in MBA) and moving of light switch causing damage to MBA around faceplate, etc. I don’t believe technicians are licensed as plumbers or electricians.

-June 19, 2019. Customer service from West Shore Home calls me to let me know the parts came in and a technician will be able to return to our home to finish on July 15, 2019.

-June 20, 2019. Meeting with GM Mr. Brian K along with my mediator Mrs. Johnson at Houton’s Restaurant at 2pm. Mr. Brian K was given hard copy pictures of the site and he asked what was our settlement number and left immediately.

-June 25, 2019. Settlement offer presented to my mother and I from form Buchannan Ingersoll & Rooney PC from Mr. Thomas *. C. The offer is just to wipe the bill clean. It is a slap in the face.

-July 12, 2019 Reached out to West Shore Home to file a complaint against insurance company and all request denied and ignored. Refusal to provide certificate of insurance from attorney Mr. Thomas C and customer service representatives. Account flagged. No cooperation.

The property was taken off the market for the bathroom renovations to add value and still remains off the market because of the new damages and incomplete project. West Shore Home has abandoned this project and expects us to pay the unexpected astronomical cost of putting it back together. We are stressed beyond any imagination. After being ripped off repeatedly in the past from previous contractors, we looked to the media and saw ads of this company running all day on multiple channels. We trusted it was a reputable company. We tried a joint agreed upon resolution to overcome the obstacles due to technician’s negligence and ended up in worse shape than we started. What was suppose to be a simple two day job has turned into a 3 month nightmare holding my mother and I hostage and stagnant demanding we pay our own ransom to be free. It is unfortunate this assignment was given to technicians who were not skilled. We have no desire whatsoever to be on the news personally for it is embarrassing and will add more hardship to our lives. However our goal is to expose this company and to show other consumers how to protect themselves from being hurt like we are. In addition, we feel this will force WSH to provide consumers with a better contingency plan in the event of unforeseen damage. It will also allow a platform for others to step forward in the event they too have e

West Shore Home Response • Aug 30, 2019

Ms *** purchased two bath remodels from West Shore Home (tub/shower area only). She gave a deposit to her sales representative at the time she signed the contract. When West Shore Home returned to complete the installation, she was unhappy with the work performed. West Shore Home installers and technicians returned several times to try to make the customer happy and even gave free upgrades outside the scope and area of the original job. Unfortunately, though West Shore Home was still willing to keep working on her bath to bring them up to her standards, Ms *** instructed us not to return to her property. Rather than allow West Shore Home to return to complete roughly $15,000 in remodeling work, representatives (daughter & friend) of Ms *** summoned our General Manager to a local restaurant and demanded a $75,000 payment to resolve the issue. She demanded the money be in her accounts by noon the following day. Due to the nature of her demands and the tactics employed, West Shore Home felt it prudent to involve outside legal counsel. All communications with Ms *** and her representatives are being handled by West Shore Home's legal counsel.West Shore Home has refunded Ms ***' deposit in full and has agreed not to charge for any work done on her house. She has not paid West Shore Home anything, and West Shore Home will not pursue payment in any amount.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:West Shore Home damaged our home and is trying to evade accepting respoonsibility for this hardship created for my family. Their business practices are not ethical and unscrupulous and they need to be exposed for their wrong doing. Please see attached proof of facts. Our contract clearly states on page 1 of 78 there was never a deposit required and NO MONEY DOWN. We never willingly gave WSH any deposit nor would we have given WSH a dime two weeks before a job started. We acquired financing with their preferred bank and was approved for 2/3 of the amount. The balance was to be put on our personal account upon completion. West Shore Home never completed the install nor do they have a certificate of completion. They illegally charged my account on 4 different occassions and we had to fight to get our money properly refunded. WSH along with their legal counsel Mr. Thomas C have denied access to filing a claim against their insurance company. Please see email where Mr. c outright refuses to allow us access to filing a claim. In addition, we received a copy of the alleged certificate of insurance certificate to find out it was expired which is fraud in my opinion. West Shore Home damaged our home leaving us with several repairs due to unlicensed and unskilled employees causing Diminished Value. The GM and my daughter were on amicable terms and the meeting was not much different than the last, just in another setting. At the time the only estimate I had in hand was for $45K which included demolition of the bathroom. No reputable contractor is willing to go behind WSH to ensure the quality of work WSH had done. The $75K represented the $45K quoted from another contractor to repair the bathrooms, plumbing, electrical and damage caused to master bedroom along with outside. The amount also covered the $13,791 for the WSH bill due for an unfinished job which left $16, 209 for stress divided by two people. We have driven over 15 roundtrips at 100 miles a each to oversee this long drawn out process. What started out as a 2 day project has turned into a 5 month nightmare. West Shore Home needs to be hald accountable for their actions. In addition they need a better contingency plan in the event they damage another consumer's property. Only licensed and skilled plumbers should be handling cutting galvanized pipes and moving electrical outlets.

I contacted West Shore Home to have an estimate given for the removal of a garden tub from my bathroom. They sent out a Sales Rep who told me the tub removal and "repair" of the remaining space would cost between 2-3 thousand dollars. While he was here he asked if I'd like to add a shower upgrade. I was told the work would be at a total cost of $7.790 for both and in writing I was told that would include plumbing cap-offs, hole closures, subfloor, drywall, tiling and paint plus fixtures. I was to provide the paint, the tiles, and the paint brushes. I was scheduled for Feb. 28th, 2019. I was told the job would be complete within 48-72 hours. The team showed up Feb. 28th and removed the tub and put in a walk-in shower. They left and nobody came to finish up anything else. They left a floor opening and 5 cats escaped. West Shore sent out a trapper. It took 5 days to recover the cats. I have hounded West Shore Home and they told me someone was coming to "finish" the job. I was told if I dropped the subfloor requirement they could get someone out to "finish" the whole job in June. If I did not drop the subfloor requirement they would need to have a Construction crew come who are booked until October. I said I'd get someone to do the subfloor & plumbing for me, and ergo they are obligated to do the drywall, painting and tiles in June. There was no miscommunication. Someone came today 6/25 (4 months late) and said they are only here to do the drywall. I called the tradesmen Group to schedule a Floor Tile and the same guy that told me if I dropped the subfloor request it could get done without waiting for a Construction crew/October, is now saying to replace floor tiles I have to wait for a Construction Crew which are unavailable until October. I should have contacted you in March when they did not finish in the first place. Have an email I can fwd to you unable to upload. Wrong format.

Had a tub to shower conversion done in Aug of 2018. Had issues with the shower from day after install. First it was shower doors were scratched and hung crooked. The cam back out replaced doors but a day later the were still crooked and leaking water. Then the caulking was very messy and unprofessional looking. Once again someone came out and fixed that. Then more problems with the shower doors since hung crooked. More leaking from sides, handles, and now the bottom rail. Water has leaked all over my floor damaging my bathroom vanity. I call and call now and get the run around. They sent someone out again finally who only caulked around the door which obviously did NOTHING to fix it. I called again and nobody returns my calls as promised. I have had to call so many times and speak with so many people. They finally sent another guy out who is supposed to be a supervisor type and he made all these promises last week that this would get taken care of quickly and apologized for how we been treated. Tell us buy a new vanity he will reimburse us IMMEDIATELY. And also promised replace entire shower doors. Well here we are 6 days later. I here nothing. I have to call yet again to see what's going on. Now I'm told they dont have these doors in stock and will be a couple weeks meanwhile the water continues to leak all over my bathroom floors. We went ahead and bought a new vanity we couldn't afford but since he promised to reimburse us we took the money that was in savings for another issue only to be told he needs approval from the GM. He never mentioned needing any approval when he promised a quick reimbursement while he was out here. We even made sure to ask how long it would take to get reimbursed. He said he'll come out with a checkbook or mail it whichever we prefer soon as we give him receipt. So now we are out $600 for a vanity and still water leaking on our bathroom floor!! Absolutely disgusted with this company and its terrible customer service! This shower is supposed to be guaranteed for LIFE!! Nothing but issues and not even a year old!!

West Shore Home Response • Jul 26, 2019

we have already given this customer the money he requested to replace the vanity. We’ve had him on and off the schedule to replace the door but he keeps calling in to cancel and reschedule.

Responding to Complaint: ***After speaking with out general manager for that region, we discovered the source of the problem was the bottom door track. We replaced that part and the leaking has stopped To the best of our knowledge the issue is now finally resolved. Josh WCHIEF ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

I am rejecting this response because:

Regards,

***
The door is still leaking to this very day. Your welcome to come by anytime and see it for yourself ANYTIME! MY FLOOR IS WET EVERY DAY. Nothing is fixed. I got tired of calling to report the issue and nothing being done to fix it properly. My floor tiles are now being damaged due to water leaking out and laying on them.

We hired Shore Wood to complete the shower portion of our total remodeling project. Unfortunately, the glass company responsible for the wrap around damaged the back wall. Getting Shore Wood back out to correct the problem took a month! They were going to apply the new wall on top of the old one but I deemed this unacceptable and improper corrective action, so the wall was completely ripped out and a new one installed. Once done, I found a chip missing from the new wall, when asked what should be done... No response.
The material used for the knee wall is/was not at all durable.... Due to the need to redo the back wall, I able to change it to granite.
I definitely do not recommend this company.

I had a tub to shower conversion done this week. Rusty G. did an excellent job. He was professional and kept me aware of everything going on. He worked in a timely manner and completed the job leaving the bathroom clean. He was well mannered and I appreciated his efforts very much.

J. W

Adam B. was a great installer. Finished installation in 2 days. THANKS!!

Poor reaction to an issue with installation of shower doors. While complete satisfaction was assured including a lifetime warranty, I cannot get any action (except promises) on a problem with the doors. Other than a suggestion that I go to *** to fix the problem myself, and a visit from the salesman with more promises, I have had no help. I was told that a registered plumber would check the work. That has not happened The problem is minor. I cannot understand why the reluctance to fix it. I hope it is not because of our advanced age that we cannot get help. Could Their promises just be a scam?

West Shore Home Response • Dec 10, 2018

Hello,

As I understand it, Jason and Brian have both reached out to *** and are in the process of resolving this issue. We have ordered new parts and will be re-installing them as soon as they are in and we can find a great time to head out to her residence.

David W, our installer did an outstanding job. We had two bathrooms remodeled. The first was a large garden tub and stand up shower converted into one large shower. The other was a tub/ shower converted into a shower. David answered all questions asked. He worked diligently everyday he was here. He is very skilled in his job.

William Barnette was very professional, timely and did an absolutely beautiful job with the custom shower installation. He's quite an asset to the Brytons Home Improvement family. I'm very very pleased & will refer others to Brytons without hesitation. EXCELLENT JOB!!!

I had a tub converted to shower a couple of weeks ago. Jeff A was my installer. He was so personable and super professional! He and his asst. worked from the moment they arrived until the moment they left. Jeff explained exactly what they were going to do, kept everything amazingly clean, and made adjustments and repairs as needed during this 2-day job. The result is beautiful! I couldn't be happier and highly recommend Jeff and this company!!

I would like to really thank Bryton's for the excellent way they handled my remodel. I would like also thank MITCHELL P, he was the installer. From the time he arrived, he started working and didn't stop until end of day or job finished. This guy is a real professional in all matters. Thank you again, Mitchell for the excellent work. Beautiful job. When I need remodeling I will be looking at Bryton's.

I am very satisfied with the work the installer David W did to my bathroom. He put a lot of pride in his work and enjoys what he does. If I decide to have my other bathroom remodeled I would like for him to be the installer. I was comfortable with him being in my home. Anytime I asked questions he had no problem answering them.

Nezzie B.

The installer Brad M came to my home to covert my tub to a shower, he was polite and worked had, the job he did was great both my wife and I love the way our new walk in shower looks. If we have any other bathroom work done we will contact Brytons Home Improvement, and we will request they send out Brad to do the install.

I had 12 windows replaced in a 90+ year old home. The salesman Jason was pleasant and not high pressure. I didn’t expect to purchase windows that day but the window he showed was a good match to the woodwork in my older home and I decided to pull the trigger after years of shopping for the right windows. Installers Brian, Tyler, and Mark were very efficient and answered all my questions. One window was missing a weather strip which Brian noticed and did a work order to have it replaced. I do love my new windows and are easy to operate. I am glad I went with West Shore Home and hopefully the windows will perform as good as they look. Certainly not cheap but they did a good job
