My deceased husband purchased an year term annuity with [redacted] ; however, [redacted] sold the account to Delaware LifeThe end of the term of my deceased husband's annuity was May 26, On June 3, I contacted Delaware Life and was told exactly what to do to surrender the annuity, which included (on Delaware Life forms) a change of address, an original death certificate, trust information and notarization and signature guaranteeI followed the directions to a "T" and sent Delaware Life the informationAfter several months, I told my broker at [redacted] that I had heard nothing from Delaware Life and he said that [redacted] would resubmit the formsAfter [redacted] submitted the forms and several more months passed, there still was no response from Delaware LifeLast month I called Delaware Life and was told they have not received anything from me or [redacted] and that a new term was automatically started, meaning the surrender value was considerably less that I was seekingI spoke to a "supervisor" and he said my only option was to start all over because the forms have changed, regardless of whether or not I could prove the forms had been submittedHe said the "Death Team" would send me the new required paperwork within to days, and that I would be able to receive the full end-of-term surrender valueAfter not receiving the promised paperwork, I called Delaware Life's "Death Team" and was told that I was provided the wrong information by the supervisor, that I needed to submit two different forms and that because a new year term had now started, I would have to wait until the end of the new term to receive the full surrender value Bottom line: each person I spoke to provided me with different information, all of which proved futileI feel that this company uses administrative delay tacticswith my money

I can't see how Delaware Life could possibly have an A+ rating when they only have negative reviewsI feel they are working very hard at scamming people out of their moneyI have had nothing but problems with this company from the day I startedThey make it very difficult to access money (ignoring my requests) and have all sorts of feesNavigating both customer service and the website are both horribleOn numerous occasions I confirmed when one of my accounts would be of surrenderOn the date they gave me I transferred my money to [redacted] they withheld $ When I logged onto my account to see what the fee was for my account had totally disappearedWhen I finally spoke to someone they had been dishonest about the initial informationI can't believe this company is even legalDo not use this company I cant wait to close my remaining account

It may be time to start a class action law suit against the company They always SAY they "regret" and "want the best...." but, by now, an it would recognize these as just words and nothing more When asked to send my monthly annuity to my home address, they and/or the bank in Mogot my checks for three months and someone (who, no one knows) actually cashed them without endorsement and the bank did not check to see if the checks were the customers, legitimately! I then asked to place them directly into my account (having given them my number only after this happened)It was reported to me, after I duly reported this concern to the company, by a company representative that the "powers that be" at the company said, "Well, they went into someone's account so we won't make it good for the client"....ME! This attitude is both unprofessional and inexcusable! It was not in MY account in the first place because they did not even have my account until I caught their error or scam If they report to the [redacted] what they "did" give me in 'what I was due to pay taxes on to the ***...they will be forcing me to have the [redacted] investigate why I have to say that I cannot sign my as "true" because it will NOT be true I will suggest they contact the company in view of what I must, in conscience, report to the [redacted] about the discrepancy My broker is now attempting to right this wrong and I hope he is able to

Took months to get service on my parents annuity with Delaware life First they stop the monthly distributions which my parents were getting for several years with no problems through [redacted] When trying to call them usual wait time was over minutesThey advised account was under Minimum for distributions? Then when we ask for full Distributions they said they would have to send forms ( forms were not on-line) After we sent the forms they rejected request based on some bank medallion (guarantee) which I have never heard of and said to resubmit forms ( which they did not send back)Had to find listing agent after I threaten to report him to [redacted] he had them send a check with all the distributions, funny the log in stopped working immediately after the check was sent so we could check the service fees and final statement

After my father's passing on 8/20/16, it took months, tons of phone calls, and in one case, assistance from attorneys to obtain payment from this groupAs this company acquired [redacted] and my father's account was handled by his [redacted] broker, it was ultimately transitioned to Delaware LifeAfter the funds were finally settled out to the beneficiaries, then they seemed to have difficulty preparing proper 1099s! More phone callsNow, a full tax year later they have sent letters to all of the beneficiaries requesting a refund of a portion of the distributions due to their calculation errors! This is not an appropriate method to handle errors made on their partAt this point, I have sent out rebuttal letters to the CFO, the Finance Department and Customer Service Department (After an attempt to resolve with customer service in the USThey have outsourced to Ireland, also.)I'll see what happens, but this is truly NOT a company to be trusted with your moneyBeware! Do NOT let your investment brokers or agents do so!

My siblings and I were the beneficiaries on my father's annuity which we choose to continue for five years after his deathOne of my sisters called Delaware Life at the five year mark and was sent the paperwork to fill out for the withdrawal and tax withholding optionsShe was told she/we had days to complete the paperworkI subsequently called customer service to understand some of the nuances of filling out the paperwork with several siblings as beneficiaries and learned on that call that six of the seven checks had been disbursed without any paperworkWe received the checks without any information about deductions, tax withheld, etcAfter months and months of phone calls, speaking with countless supervisors and customer service reps, asking over and over again for an understanding of the transactions and running the rampant of emotions trying to get the final check sent, the final check was disbursedHowever, we still do not have a breakdown of the checks and deductionsSuddenly, without warning and without explanation almost five months later, we received a letter from Delaware Life requesting repayment of a portion of the fundsThe letter contained no explanation, no informationWe received conflicting explanations from customer service reps when we called to learn moreWe again requested a breakdown and are still waiting on thatWe received a second notice asking for repayment, again without explanationIt is hard to imagine that this company has the trust of any client or broker since they seem unable to get their stories straight, to follow through on any promise and to even understand what took placeIt would appear that violations of regulations have taken placeI would strongly discourage any investor from purchasing any of their products

Ever since taking over *** Life Delaware Life is terrible Telephone wait times over minutes with no results I have not received a quarterly report in over six months Every time I call, I get the same excuse that someone is looking into the matter, with no results I am going to leave this company The name *** keeps haunting me and I am concerned with how this company operates I will be contacting the Feds

annuity insagent was not responding to my numerous phone calls Our agent, Mr***
***, told my husband and I that if we surrendered some money from our annuity we would not be held to another year term We are in another year term

Terrible and lazy communicationsI feel terribly for their pleasant staff that I have spoken to over the phone, however, this company is terribleMy sister and I had filed for annuity payouts for our deceased father's policy that was taken over by this companyShe received hers; they claim to have never received by request and have escheated my funds to the stateYesWe live in deferent statesThis company does not truly do their due diligence, as if that were so, I would have received a letter warning me that this would happenThe representative "couldn't find the letter that was sent to me" stating they had done thisAs expected, since they did NOT actually send it

My father passed away in March Despite submitting a Death Claim in a timely fashion, Delaware Life has taken many months to begin payment and has made numerous mistakes First they sent me a check for $180,000, which I knew was too much and wrong I called Delaware Life and was told that they accidentally paid me the full amount of my dad's account...including both of my brother's portions...and would put a stop payment on that check Then they sent me a check for $2,200; which seemed like an odd amount to me This time when I called, I was told this check was also issued in error and a stop payment was already placed on the check A week later I received another check for the exact same amount Once again I called and was told the stop payment was made in error so they issued another check Turns out the $2,was RMD (required minimum distribution) and should have been paid They honestly don't know what they are doing Most recently, Delaware Life sent me a 1099R tax form with the incorrect amount They state I was paid $in 2016, but in truth I was only paid $4, This can obviously cause serious IRS problems I've filed a complaint with *** *** ** *** *** and recommend that you do the same I've read the other complaints and I am very concerned!

*** *** got out of the annuity business and unfortunately for me Delaware Life took it overMy financial advisor had to speak to a dozen service reps to finally get the right answersNext was time to start my annuity only to find out the rep used the wrong numbers to figure my monthly payoutSo I'm out xx.x dollars every mont for the rest of my life and they say it can't be fixedStay far away from these clownsIf I could have they'd get a minus black stars

I have been trying to get money from Delaware Life for a long timeI started the process in I have called them 14+ times during this process On February 13th, they finally did a partial withdrawal The deposit came yesterday into the account Yesterday was March 27th, They held the money for weeks after they removed it from my account I had to call every week for a status update The check was in the mail - It never arrived I received two first class pieces of mail from them but never the check Worst company I have ever had to deal with Half truths, inaccurate replies, but always cordial and acting like they care, but nothing could be further from the truth

Have been trying to collect a life insurance payment for at least month with this company I have sent in every piece of paper they have requested only to have them ask for information that I have sent to them at least 5x's prior They are obviously playing a game with my family's money We have even sent in signed paperwork via certified mail multiple times to Delaware Life and they still send letters saying that they did not receive these items It is unbelievable that they can be this incompetent They are clearly trying to deceive there clients and hold onto payments that are needed after a love one has died To even place more damning evidence on their manipulative payout strategy my uncle had exactly the same problem with this company In fact, when they finally sent the check after 10's of phone calls, mailings, arguments and so on they mailed him another DECLINE LETTER the day he received his payment he received the decline letter Truly a awful company to deal with Each time you call in you deal with a completely different person who has no access to any of your information you have sent

Delaware Life is a horrible agency to work with They have not paid out on my annuity months after submitted my claim! Every time I call, I'm told that the payments are with the actuary department and should begin within two weeks Nonetheless, It's now months later and....NO PAYMENTS!!! No one seems to know what they are doing at Delaware Life Avoid them at all cost!

Delaware is acting in bad faith by delaying monthly beneficiary annuity paymentsThese payments should have originated in October Beneficiary received only one payment in January (back payment) and has not received any further monthly paymentsBeneficiary has contacted representatives for Delaware approximately timesEach time beneficiary is advised that the company is working on payment schedulesBeneficiary has requested an e-mail address or direct phone number of upper management and has been denied this informationBeneficiary is unable to receive information regarding the delay

My father passed away months ago with a life insurance policy with Delaware lifeI contacted them on 7/17/to inform them of his passing and begin the claim processI was told it would take business days to receive the claim forms and to this date 8/7/I have not received themI called them back 8/6/and 8/7/to try to get an answerBoth times they acknowledged my initial call on 7/17/but could give no explanation for the delay or provide information on when I will receive the formsI appreciate your help with this matterMy understanding is these situations should be handled in a reasonable amount of time, I do not think this is reasonable

My dear aunt passed away in September After her death, I received notice from Delaware Life that she had left me an annuity I was never told how much at first, but finally was told the total amount and then said that I wanted monthly installments until with the State Withholding of 5% and the Federal of 15% I have never dealt with a more inefficient, incompetent company in my entire life First of all, the company is based in Topeka, Kansas, but if you have a question regarding your annuity, it goes to these nice little ladies in Ireland, who do not have updated information on your account After making many many calls (over 10) I finally was able to speak with a supervisor who was going to straighten out my account since all of a sudden, the taxes were incorrect and they insisted that they were correct It is like dealing with someone from the *** *** when you deal with this company I feel that the Revdex.com is aware that other people are also having issues So far, my annuity started in January 2017, February's amount was incorrect, March - July was correct and I thought we were on the right track Then in August I received a large amount check but deposited it thinking it was correct They stopped payment on that (afterwards we found out someone had compiled all the payments I had received and issued a check Then I received another check for August and it was stopped after I had deposited it After thinking we were getting things resolved, I have not received the correct amount since Nothing has gone right with this account and I am still waiting to hear back from the supervisor who tried to help me I would give them a star Worst company I have ever dealt with

I am sending this on behalf of my MotherMy Father had an annuity through Delaware LifeHe passed away in February, 2016, and my Mother continued receiving monthly payments through September of 2016, at which point the payments stoppedShe had received a letter the previous month (August) requesting clarification of distribution option as well as an original death certificate for my FatherThe letter also stated that the policy/account had been placed on inactive status until such time as the requested information was providedThe information was subsequently provided, but not to the satisfaction of Delaware LifeSince then, all efforts to rectify the situation and re-activate the account have proven to be a seemingly endless and futile exercise, as well as a source of immense frustration on the part of my eighty-four year old Mother, who is reliant on the annuity funds as part of her retirement incomeEach time we send newly requested information, Delaware Life comes back and e

My family has been trying to resolve a payout with Delaware life for over months (death benefit from our mothers anunity) We keep getting the run around We have spoken to multiple supervisors and keep getting the same story and apologies They keep sending us notices that our paperwork is incomplete When we call (and wait an average of minutes on hold), we are told that everything is in order and the payouts will be processed We've been told this different times
