My experience is similar to the others on this siteTrying to get my deceased father's annuity set up, and have not heard a word from the company in monthsCustomer service cannot help, evidentlyThey took the money and the paperwork and have disappearedWill get my money out of there ASAP and advise everyone to avoid them if you can

I can't see how Delaware Life could possibly have an A+ rating when they only have negative reviewsI feel they are working very hard at scamming people out of their moneyI have had nothing but problems with this company from the day I startedThey make it very difficult to access money (ignoring my requests) and have all sorts of feesNavigating both customer service and the website are both horribleOn numerous occasions I confirmed when one of my accounts would be of surrenderOn the date they gave me I transferred my money to *** they withheld $ When I logged onto my account to see what the fee was for my account had totally disappearedWhen I finally spoke to someone they had been dishonest about the initial informationI can't believe this company is even legalDo not use this company I cant wait to close my remaining account

This company Delaware Life is the worst financial company I have ever come acrossThe customer service is a total joke, you can not speak with any supervisorI was forced to contact the ** on MA just to force them to supply an end of the year statement for our tax reportJust crazy how poor the service isNow I'm going through it all over again for the statementJust AWFUL

This is by far the WORST financial company I have ever dealt with My dad closed his annuity in February 2017, and died in May I have been trying to obtain the proceeds for my mother ever since It is August Today I called to get a status based on forms we completed and express mailed August I was told they needed to be re-done because my mother neglected to enter her birthdate on one I feel the company is simply hanging on to her money for its own investments Terrible, terrible company AVOID!

After phone calls regarding a 1099-R form that was initially never sent and then incorrect, there is still no resolutionPromised phone calls confirming the correction never occurredThe phone representatives who, surprisingly, are polite and attentive did send me to a supervisor who was dismissive, apathetic, and unwilling to give me a time frame as to when this correction would be completedExtremely incompetent and unprofessional service

As I write this review I have been on hold for min, should have plenty of time to finish!! Last week same process simply to request a copy of a statement for taxes which like last year and the prior year was not sentCustomer service is just shy of rude and after being passed around like a pint bottle for several minutes I hope to finally get what I need BTW still on hold, just awful.,

My parent company was brought out by this company, since then, they failed to notify me (according to contract) regarding my renewal date This is the second time of this failure ...sighting an "administrative oversight" While considering if I should renew, I called the company three times trying to decide, getting through to a live person is ridiculous and to make matters worse two out of the three times in talking to their representatives, I have received conflicting information Does this sound like a company I can trust?

It may be time to start a class action law suit against the company They always SAY they "regret" and "want the best...." but, by now, an it would recognize these as just words and nothing more When asked to send my monthly annuity to my home address, they and/or the bank in Mogot my checks for three months and someone (who, no one knows) actually cashed them without endorsement and the bank did not check to see if the checks were the customers, legitimately! I then asked to place them directly into my account (having given them my number only after this happened)It was reported to me, after I duly reported this concern to the company, by a company representative that the "powers that be" at the company said, "Well, they went into someone's account so we won't make it good for the client"....ME! This attitude is both unprofessional and inexcusable! It was not in MY account in the first place because they did not even have my account until I caught their error or scam If they report to the *** what they "did" give me in 'what I was due to pay taxes on to the ***...they will be forcing me to have the *** investigate why I have to say that I cannot sign my as "true" because it will NOT be true I will suggest they contact the company in view of what I must, in conscience, report to the *** about the discrepancy My broker is now attempting to right this wrong and I hope he is able to

Took months to get service on my parents annuity with Delaware life First they stop the monthly distributions which my parents were getting for several years with no problems through ***When trying to call them usual wait time was over minutesThey advised account was under Minimum for distributions? Then when we ask for full Distributions they said they would have to send forms ( forms were not on-line) After we sent the forms they rejected request based on some bank medallion (guarantee) which I have never heard of and said to resubmit forms ( which they did not send back)Had to find listing agent after I threaten to report him to *** he had them send a check with all the distributions, funny the log in stopped working immediately after the check was sent so we could check the service fees and final statement

Run, don't walk away from this Company My Mother who is was forced to start taking payments from her Delaware Life Annuity Since we started discussions with them in August 2015, we have been unable to come to an agreement on the basis for the annuities Delaware Life insists there is no basis, but cannot explain given the information that we have given them how that is possible In October my mother sent tax withholding information and set up the first withdrawal She received the payments on November 5, but has never received a statement indicating whether the instructed tax withholding was actually made She did not receive the required form on her annuities that was due 1/31/ She only received her December 31, quarterly statements on June 23, 2016; they did not indicate any payments to her or for taxes had been made in the last quarter of On April 18, 2016, I had an extensive discussion with a Representative who could not explain why at that time my Mother had received neither her December statement nor her She assured us that Delaware would resolve this expeditiously Didn't happen On June 23, I spoke with a Representative and a Supervisor as to the incorrect December statements and the missing 1099s He assured me that this would all be corrected by July 1, Didn't happen Yesterday, July 5, I spoke with the same supervisor who could not explain why his promised resolution had not occurred I asked to speak with his supervisor He claimed he could not put me through to his supervisor and that indeed he could not tell me the name of his supervisor He did promise a manager would call me by the close of business yesterday Didn't happen On June 23, the Representative said she was emailing me a representation form as we spoke Didn't happen This trail of lies and broken promises still has not been resolved and we have been unable to file my Mother's taxes

My deceased husband purchased an year term annuity with *** *** ***; however, *** *** sold the account to Delaware LifeThe end of the term of my deceased husband's annuity was May 26, On June 3, I contacted Delaware Life and was told exactly what to do to surrender the annuity, which included (on Delaware Life forms) a change of address, an original death certificate, trust information and notarization and signature guaranteeI followed the directions to a "T" and sent Delaware Life the informationAfter several months, I told my broker at *** *** that I had heard nothing from Delaware Life and he said that *** *** would resubmit the formsAfter *** submitted the forms and several more months passed, there still was no response from Delaware LifeLast month I called Delaware Life and was told they have not received anything from me or *** *** and that a new term was automatically started, meaning the surrender value was considerably less that I was seekingI spoke to a "supervisor" and he said my only option was to start all over because the forms have changed, regardless of whether or not I could prove the forms had been submittedHe said the "Death Team" would send me the new required paperwork within to days, and that I would be able to receive the full end-of-term surrender valueAfter not receiving the promised paperwork, I called Delaware Life's "Death Team" and was told that I was provided the wrong information by the supervisor, that I needed to submit two different forms and that because a new year term had now started, I would have to wait until the end of the new term to receive the full surrender value Bottom line: each person I spoke to provided me with different information, all of which proved futileI feel that this company uses administrative delay tacticswith my money

Having a lot of difficulty getting money that is owed to me from my deceased uncle's annuityAlso, how can the Revdex.com rating be a C+?! When out of reviews are negative....is this the new "common core" math?

I received an incorrect 1099R and have spent over 1/hours on the telephone trying to get it corrected It showed over $15,000,of income as taxable that is not This is the end of an annuity contract and the majority of it nontaxable It still has not been corrected despite conversations with different employes

I have an annuity that was taken over by Delaware Life several months ago Since the change, I have had issues with receiving my monthly disbursements The first check they were to send me didn't show up within two weeks of the date it is supposed to be cut I called the customer service number and, after being on hold for more than twenty minutes, I finally got a live person I was informed that the check had been sent, but they would stop payment on that check and issue a new one I waited for a week for that check and called customer service again After another twenty minute hold I was informed the second check had not been sent, but they would send it the next day I finally received that check, after I had received the following months check
I moved two months after the change over and called to file a change of address I started getting correspondence from Delaware Life at the new address, but my checks were still being sent to the old address I called and discussed this with a representative who informed me that it would be fixed I continue to have problems getting my checks delivered to my new address and every time I call there I am having to wait on hold a minimum of twenty minutes to talk to a person When I tried to talk to a supervisor, I was put on hold and after fifteen minutes the line went dead
I did receive my January check at my new address, but today is March 11th and I am still waiting for the check that was supposed to be issued on February 26th When I called about this check on March 7th, after a FORTY minute hold the person I talked to informed me that the check had been returned to them When I asked why, the representative asked me what my address was I responded by asking what address it was sent to She told me it was sent to the old address I asked to talk to a supervisor and after fifteen more minutes on hold I explained to him what the situation was He informed me that he would make sure that all the proper forms are filled out and that we wouldn't have any more problems I asked that they overnight me the check and they agreed He told me he had to fill out a couple of forms and that he was putting me on a brief hold Ten minutes later he came back on the line and told me had two more forms to fill out and that he was going to put me back on hold I said I didn't want to be put back on hold due to the chance of being cut off again He said he would keep the line open while he filled out the other forms Five minutes later I got cut off
On March 8th I got a call from them asking me what address they were to send the check to This meant that they still don't have the problem fixed and they still haven;t sent the check I was informed that the check would be sent overnight that day I did not get the check the following day and when I called on March 10th I was informed that they didn't know if the check had been sent or not, but that they would send one out that day Today is March 11th, I am still waiting to get a check that was issued on February 26th and I am beginning to wonder if I will ever get this check or any others in the future

This is the worst institution, I have had to deal with in years They repeatedly have never met my needs, or done anything to correct the problems I have had, because of Delaware Life You will sit on HOLD forever, and they continuously send personal information to incorrect addresses There is absolutely NO trust to be given to them What a horrible institution and employees I have went through multiple employees over the past years, not one of them has ever followed through with what they said they were going to do

Delaware life is the worst financial company I have ever experienced I inherited an annuity and it took months, multiple phone calls and emails to just get the accounts funded due to a computer problem In I took money out, the company didn't take out the withholding, sent me a stating my taxable amount was and them changed it on 3/ The phone system is hard to navigate, the people answering the phones have no information and no one calls you back The only reason I still have an account with this terrible company is due to the tax hit if I remove my money

People answering the phone are pleasant but beyond that; horrible company every dealing I've had with them over the last years has been handled unprofessionally and questionableThey don't follow through on anythingDifficult to get your money at the end of an annuityI've been promised tax forms that I should not have to request for over a month

The company deposited a large sum of money into my bank account and a year later demands repayment

I have been trying to get my father's annuity for over months First, had to submit paperwork a couple of times because it kept getting lost Finally all good, and when I call have they tell me they are working on it, but 'behind' Losing my patience with them
