Window World of Fairmont Reviews (24)

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved Regards, [redacted]

Mr [redacted] purchased windows from us on July 25th, we installed windows on October 10th, one window was measured incorrectly and had to be reorderedAccording to our records we called on November 7", December 18, and January 9" to try and set install of the new window so that we could complete his job and collect the final balance of $3,We finally received a call back on January 9" and at that time he told the Office Manager that we took too long and he found someone else to do the window and that he was not paying anything because he could not rent the house and lost money and at that point hung up on herSo at that time she spoke to the installer that put the first windows in his house and he said that Mr [redacted] was not there when he completed the windows so he could explain the one window that was wrong and that the deduction of remove and reinstall of the awnings would be deducted from his final balance because they did not do themThe installer also state that the house was completely gutted from his remodeling and there was no way he could have rented it at that time So it seems to me that we tried to calf and set up installation in November when the new window came in and he never would return our calls to set up a timeAnd that if he was so worried about that one window why he never called the officeMaybe because he knew he owed us a balance on his contact? I will be more than happy to settle with Mr [redacted] I will deduct half the window price ($100.00) and refund him his RJR awning charge of $But I am not so sure that if the house had been gutted and all of this remodeling being done that all of the trash left was Window World's; however I will refund him $ on the disposalLeaving him owing Window World a balance of $2,991.50, and we will call it even and he will have his warranty on the windows we installed However if I do not receive payment by the end of March I will turn it over to collections

The handle has been fixed on his sliding patio door, as for the carpet we told [redacted] that if he got someone to fix the carpet we would reimburse his the costWe do not do carpet and I am not sure why he was told that Window World would handle the carpet after the installation of the sliding doorSo once he gets back with us we will send him a check to pay for the carpet to be tacked downIf you have any questions please contact me at [redacted]

According to our records Mr. [redacted] signed the contract on October 4, 2014. At that time we estimated installation to be 10 to 12 weeks; he signed the contract knowing we were running... behind on installs. The Office Manager has notes that she tried to contact Mr. [redacted] on December 16th to set for install because we were going to be in his area but he was not available. She explained to him that we would try to set again when we were in the area. We have Mr. [redacted] on the schedule for installation on Monday 16th.

We are running extremely behind on installations at all
0.35pt;">of my offices at this timeI spoke with *** *** and we Installed her windows the job is complete and paid in fullIf you have any further questions please contact me at ***

The original estimate on their job was on September 12, I show that they purchased in June I am not sure of what happened during that time frame; these are the only notes that I haveHowever, I do recall the first time
I spoke with *** was regarding her credit card being run twice; I found the mistake while doing my online banking and immediately refunded her credit card for the amount ran
Typically the installation runs to weeks from purchase as stated on the back of their contractThey were installed during that time frameI do understand that there was confusion with the office staff on the date set for installation of their windows and I spoke with them myself and we got a date set for installationI not only apologized for the misunderstand that occurred but gave them a discount as well
The job is complete and a completion form is signed and the account is paid in full
I would like to state that I have all new office personnel and they have made some mistakes but they are learning

According to our records Mr*** signed the contract on October 4, At that time we estimated installation to be to weeks; he signed the contract knowing we were running behind on installsThe Office Manager has notes that she tried to contact Mr*** on December 16th to set for

I have looked into our contract for *** *** and these windows have not been installedI have called the daytime phone number on the complaint and left a message to set up installationlam not sure why
this job has not been installedBut once I contact *** *** we will set a date for installation

Mr*** purchased
windows from us on July 25th, we installed windows on October
10th, one window was measured incorrectly and had to be reorderedAccording to
our records we called on
November 7", December 18, and January 9" to
try and set install of the new window so that we could complete his job and
collect the final balance of $3,We finally received a call back on
January 9" and at that time he
told the Office Manager that we took too long and he found someone else to do
the window and that he was not paying anything because he could not rent the
house and lost money and at that point hung up on herSo at that time she
spoke to the installer that put the first windows in his house and he said
that Mr*** was not there when he completed the windows so he could
explain the one window that was wrong and that the deduction of remove and
reinstall of the awnings would be deducted from his final balance because they
did not do themThe installer also state that the house was completely gutted
from his remodeling and there was no way he could have rented it at that time
So it seems to me that we tried to calf and set up installation in November
when the new window came in and he never would return our calls to set up a
timeAnd that if he was so worried about that one window why he never called
the officeMaybe because he knew he owed us a balance on his contact? I will
be more than happy to settle with Mr***I will deduct half the window
price ($100.00) and refund him his RJR awning charge of $But I am not
so sure that if the house had been gutted and all of this remodeling being done
that all of the trash left was Window World's; however I will refund him $
on the disposalLeaving him owing Window World a balance of $2,991.50, and we
will call it even and he will have his warranty on the windows we installed
However if I do not receive payment by the end of March I will turn it over to
collections

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Although the response states the work has not been completed, I am doubtful that any calls have been made to my daytime phone number, especially since they have called me prior and since I have active voice mailI have even called ***, their main installation manager on his cell (which he gave me) and left him messages on his voice mail on separate occasions, 9-weeks apart.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Ok.   So my problems are these.  They charged me to haul away the old windows and screens, I have to look at my invoice but it was like 40 dollars a window to haul it away because of the lead painT.   They ended up leaving every lead painted window screen (bigger than the window on these old windows) and many window parts/glasses that I had to take the dump myself.   It was like what they could take and sell (in good shape ) that happily took away but stuff with no value they just left it there for me to deal with but still charged me.  Then let's get to the capping.    They told me, and charged me, to remove the awnings and cap around them, as they said many times, to make it look nice.   They actually charged me on the invoice for removing the awnings also, and it wasn't cheap.    But when they got there they didn't take the awnings down just did the cap up to them which isn't going to work over years water can get down in that metal and will rot the window frames if the awnings leak, and they do it's a 100 year old home! They charged me for capping a really large window in the front and they spliced two pieces of metal which u can see an obvious joint right in the front of the house on the largest window.    3 of the screens have holes in them and still do.    Plus they drug their feet so long on the main kitchen window I got sick of waiting 6 months for this and just had my contractor do it.    He told me that he has had a lot of problems with this company also, and the quality.   The lady lied to me and told me she tried to call me 3 or 4 times to install after saying that she didn't earlier.  I asked her to simply prove to me that she did, her phone company will gladly print out an outgoing phone call list at no charge and prove that she did indeed call to schedule but she didn't I have had renters waiting on this house for nearly a year because of their shannanigans.   I lost several months of rent due to them blowing me off like they did.    Now they want me to pay them for the window they didn't do, the capping on that window that they didn't do, the removal of that window that they didn't take, they want me to pay for the removal of the 20 some windows that they didn't take away all the windows, pay for the removal of the awnings that wasn't taken off, and pay for a poor at best capping job that as they told me will look excellent.    As u can understand I am not paying all this as they ripped me off here.    they refused to replace the screens that have holes in them, and this has just been a horrible experience that has caused me to loose my tail on rent and having to deal with this.    From her last message on here she said she is sending me to collections, which I have yet to get one statement from her!    But I will take this to small claims court if needed as I have many pictures , written statements, video surveillance of the install from my office right next doors camera that shows the house and the install clear as a bell and the failure to haul off the items just set them in a garage and forget them!     If she removes all the capping bill that wasn't done correctly under the awnings, and the larger panel of windows where they just spliced two pieces together where u can see a huge joint, take the haul away bill for all the windows, take off the window that I didn't get and the screens on 2 I know have holes in them I would be happy.    But that is nearly all I owe left after what I have already paid!   This place for anyone reading this is a bait and switch tactic built place.   THEY SAY 185 dollar windows then sell u everything under the sun that should come with the window! Sorry so long
Regards,
[redacted]
