I called Window World to let them know we had decided to go with a different company for new siding & replacement of all windows. The woman asked why & I told her it was due to the less than flattering reviews/complaints I had found on line about Window World. She responded in a "snippy" voice, "well anyone with a computer can ruin someone's reputation" and hangs up. By her response, she confirms to us that we made the right decision.

We recently had new patio doors installed. The crew headed up by [redacted] were very professional and knew what they were doing. We are very pleased with the doors. Excellent Job!

Review: Started with a call in Nov. about a window that has fogged up. I was told that they would start the process of the window replacement. With the holidays, I did not bother or worry about the issue until Jan. I did not hear from Window World through Jan. I contacted Window World again in Jan., and was told yet again that a window sash will be ordered and will be contacted when it reaches the warehouse...didn't happen. So, I cantacted Window World again in Feb., asking about the window, and was told then that it had not been ordered, but they will order it. This time they did order it, but it was the wrong size, so they will have to order another one. I was contacted on 4/18 and was left a voicemail stating that the part was coming in on the truck on Mon., Apr. 21 and they would call me to arrangr a delivery date. Today is Apr. 27 and I have yet to hear from window world. Also, on top of the window issue, I had all of my windows wrapped and half of them look dirty where they obviously did not use the correct caulk. They also removed all the drip caps over all of the windows they replaced, leaving the top of the window susceptible to water getting behind the window...the drip edge is there for a reason.Desired Settlement: One of the last times I had called Window World, I verified with them that they guaranty their product AND workmanship, and I was told yes. So all I am asking is that they honor that guaranty and do the job the way it was to be done on day one. I was unaware that the drip caps were removed until years after the fact, and am a little angry they did it without my permission. So I also expect them to replace the drip caps and wrap them...it was what I had paid for.

On behalf of Window World of Richmond, I do apologize for the inconvenience, I do see some confusion with the information given which led to the incorrect items ordered. Customer was visited on April 1st and the correct information was gathered. Our standard delivery for warranty parts is 3-4 weeks. The correct parts are in our warehouse and due to the weather, [redacted] is scheduled for service on May 6th. Window World will be addressing the replacement sash as well as the caulking and drip cap issues. Window World agrees with [redacted] that this has taken entirely too long to rectify.

Window World did not even call me to say they were coming to my house. This was in February 2016 and I gave them my deposit in October of 2015. The gentleman who called spoke broken English, he asked if they could get started until I got home. I said yes and said the siding was for the back of the house for the enclosed porch. When I arrived, the workers were on the side of my house about to take down the wood! Window World did not give these men a diagram or instructions of where to put the siding. I called the salesman and he said, since I was upset, he would come out at the end of the day to check the work. He never showed. Pretty awful customer service all around.

Review: 05/14/2013 ordered [redacted]-7 double-hung windows and 1-Three Lite Slider Swing & Clean from salesman [redacted]. 06/25-Window World installed the windows. I noticed that the slider is not a swing & clean after it was installed. The installer did not notice at all. Called WW-salesman [redacted]-He ordered the swing & clean replacement. I withheld 50% owed with WW approval. 08/02 (approx)- [redacted] at WW called and scheduled an appt for 08/10 to swap out the slider window. 08/09-Received a call from [redacted]-replacement window broken-WW reordering-rescheduled for 08/16. Up to this point I realized things can happen and was patient with WW. 08/16- Swing & clean installed - Signed the release form and paid the remaining 50%. Very nice window. As the installers were leaving and I was seeing them out the door I noticed that the Swing & Clean doesn't match the other windows. The installer said the Swing & Clean does not come in the [redacted]. The Swing & Clean is a 6000 Series and that is why they don’t match. He said to call [redacted] at WW in the morning. (Up to this point, the salesman and installers from 2 different installation did not pick up on or notice I paid for a [redacted] Swing & Clean that didn't exist or if they did, ignored it.) 08/17-Called and spoke to [redacted]- She was apologetic and understood. She will check into it. 08/21-No return call-called [redacted]-She confirmed that the Slider Swing & Clean does not come in the [redacted] just back from vacation-he will call soon. She apologized for one thing after another going wrong. 08/27-No return call- left a message on a recording. 08/30-No return call-emailed WW on their website. [redacted] called and said the owner just got back from a business trip and she will have an answer to my email soon. I told [redacted], that I was very fond of the Slider with Swing & Clean feature. It was their choice to change out the other 7 windows with the[redacted] to match the Swing & Clean Slider and/or offer some sort of compensation for repeated inconveniences and frustration. I advised her I would follow through with my experience to the Revdex.com, [redacted] if I did not receive a response. She was very apologetic and understood completely. 09/22-Still no response received for the [redacted] or anyone at Window World to resolve. So much for the lifetime warranty.Desired Settlement: $800.00 in compensation.

Review: Window installation scheduled for Nov 4 2015, late arrival, left work to be there! They were unable to finish as I had to return to work job taking longer than stated. I kept hearing them talk about making a trip to the dump and another stop. I left -they left. We had a loose arrangement to meet later that afternoon after 4, husband went home waited awhile and left.They called after 5 to say they came by and no one was home but they ask when would be convenient tomorrow, I said after 3 & Jason responded " perfect" we will come back and finish!!

I was home @2:45 (I1/5]waited until 5 no show no call. On the 6th I waited until mid morning hoping to hear from the company when I did not here, I called.. The receptionist stared they had made several attempts to reach me, I said that is a lie! I want to speak to the manager. Mike answered and we went round and round. He said he could come Saturday but I had a long standing plan that I could not break, he said they were busy the day of the 6th Friday.. And Finally he said Sunday between 7-8 am. I stayed home Sunday morning and as if 9:43 no show no call. I called window world service dept and left a message to that affect. I told them on Friday that if I got no satisfaction that I would call the Revdex.com. I have tools and debris on my deck, metal pieces inside and calking to be done.... Very unhappy. If I have to get some one else to finish the job, my warranty will be void as someone else will not honor anothers warranty. My husband's friend in West Point tells my husband he had the same problem with them and after nagging finally got them back to finish the job...very disappointing! I want window world to honor their commitment and there claims. I can not and will not recommend them. I have already discouraged a co worker from using them, after she over heard my conversation on Friday! Also we are short a screen for a bedroom window.. Said they would have to order it?? Why was it not ordered to begin with? Poor service!

The guys from Window World were very professional. They were here on time. Also, they made sure I understood how to operate my windows once they were installed,and didn't leave a trace of my old windows! I also appreciate the fact that I knew exactly what the cost would be when the sales rep.left my home!

Review: I had contracted with Window World to replace siding that was damaged as well as finish wrapping a window at [redacted]. The salesman and I walked the property and he took pictures of the work requested in May of 2013. They called me with a price and I contracted and paid in full in May of 2013. I have contacted Window World mulitple times as well as sent e-mails to the sales person to ask them to complete the job. As of 5/13/14 the work as still not been done. I was told it would be done on 5/9/14 by a message left on my voicemail by the[redacted]. The voicemail [redacted] left was prompted by another attempt on my part to ask them to complete the work or request a refund. I have contacted Window World at least 10-12 times over the past 12 months. Many times I was told I would get a return phone call and did not.Desired Settlement: If they will agree to complete the job within a specifed time period and do so I will accept that outcome.

On April 24, 2014 [redacted] received and estimate for 6 pieces of siding. He later mailed in the signed contract and paid in full. On June 18, 2013 our siding installer went out and installed 6 pieces of siding at the property. [redacted] contacted his sales representative, [redacted], in April of 2014 and stated that the work had never been completed. This was a siding repair not a full house of siding installation. There were multiple areas of damage to the siding and there was a miscommunication as to which areas needed to be repaired. All repairs have been completed, which was 12 pieces of siding and the wrapping of one window. [redacted] has received what he was contracted for plus additional.

After 12 months and a Revdex.com complaint filing Window World has finally completed the work that they were contracted to do in May of 2013. I am satisfied with the outcome but completed unsatisfied with the company and the process over the last year.

Review: On 9/16/2013, we purchased 6 windows from Window World. We have called them ppn numerous occassions because the windows don't close or lock properly. In addition, they didn't put up a shrudders back to the original position. We have called Window World on numerous occassions and they have either not returned our calls or they have schedule appointment and then cancelled them. The first part of August 2014, they told me that someone would be out to fix the problem, but on the day of the appointment the lady called to say they had to pull the worker for another job. They asked if they could reschedule the appointment and I agree they could do it after we got back from vacation. the August was schedulef on August 14th between 8 AM and 12 Noon. My husband waited all day and knowone called or showed up. I called Window World and told [redacted] about the issue and she said she was helping out and that the mom was at lunch and would call me. I called the office 2 more times and everytime I was told that the mom was on the phone and the owners were out of town. We have a lifetwime warranty on these expensive none functional windows.Desired Settlement: We want Window World to honor or lifetime warranty and fix our window and to put our shrudder up properly.

I purchased 7 Windows from Window World. Four were crank out casement windows. All windows were top quality. The installation team did a great job, were courteous and professional. I would recommend Window world to anyone wanting windows.
One of my window cranks had to be replaced but the technician was very professional and did a great job.

[redacted] and his crew did a wonderful job installing the windows. We were very pleased with the results!!

Review: Ordered 2 windows on 10/20/2015 and when person measured my husband told him that was not the right way to do it.....few days later got a call and said made a mistake it would be $100.more but he would pay 50 of it. Was promised windows would be in no longer than 5 weeks........6 weeks later got call that they were in....came today to install and wrong size windows........called CS manager [redacted] and told him that wanted money back ...$410.50 and he told me he would order new ones and be in 2 weeks....told him I did not want to deal with them now and said he was ordering windows and would mess up our credit if we did not pay for them even ifDesired Settlement: just want our deposit back and that's all.

We recently had Window World install new windows throughout our home. We had excellent service from the Sales Representive, [redacted] to the installers. I would highly recommend their company to anyone.

It was a great pleasure doing business with this company. They were so up beat that it really made me relax. The young lady that set up the appointment was so nice and Joey the sales rep could not have been any better. I felt good about what I brought because he help me all the way in getting what I needed.

I used Window World about 12 years ago for the first time and am currently using them again for another project. They have great products that are an exceptional value. They also stand by their lifetime warranty, which I have had an occasion to use when the glass on a window broke and they replaced at no charge. I am currently having 4 sliding glass doors installed, and they look great! Excellent quality, and the installers are very professional. Window World's price was significantly less than that of another company (who you also regularly see advertising on TV). I am getting ready to order a garage door today and have all the confidence that this will be a great experience as well. I highly recommend Window World!

I have worked with Window world for the past year in the purchase and installation of replacement windows. My salesman[redacted] was professional and easy to work with. He was not a pressure salesperson and was very accomadating when I asked for changes from the standard window. Because I staggered my installation I had two different teams. Both were professional. The team led by [redacted] had to reconstruct a three window opening. They took pride in their workmanship and when it was finished it gave a new look to my house.

I am very pleased with my relationship with Window World of Richmond.
