BE SURE TO DO YOUR ONLINE RESAERCH ON THIS COMPANY! they operate under several business; xout, proactuve,wen, IT cosmestics and OTHERS! BEWARE of the company poilicies! They are currently under investigation regard their BUSINESS PRACTICE with the FTC! They state that a person signs up on enrollment wjen they make the FIRST transaction HOWEVER according to MY SALE RECIEPT IT STATES NOTHING ABOUT AUTO SHIP!!!! It has business practices that those pop up ad "FREE" boytle of some crap and then 15days later their charge you some ridiculous price? Remember those? EXACTLY the sales concept of THIS COMPANY Guthery Rinker!!!!! And ALL their businesses!

This company shipped products to me and billed me for products I did not request.

Told the salesman on the phone that I didn't want further shipments until I tried the product. Tried it and it's horrible for my hair. Hair limp and can't do a thing with it!!
Now I have a whole new box of junk I won't use and don't want. I will cancel my credit card to avoid paying for a lousy product that I said very clearly I didn't want automatically shipped until I knew whether or not I like it.

Be VERY cautious with this company! The charge your card even though you have called and told them YOU ARE NOT ON AUTO SHIP! THEY TELL YOU THAT YOU OKAY'D THE AUTO SHIP WHEN YOU SIGNED UP!!!! WHY WOULD ANYONE SIGN UP FOR AUTO SHIP WHEN THE PRODUCT HASN'T EVEN BEEN TRIED!!!! They also sell YOUR EMAIL!!!! so you start getting a gazillion spam email! proven as I created the email just to order this [redacted]! shady shady shady business practices!!!!

They do not respond in a timely fashion.
I placed two orders.
After 30 days I was charged over $100
They continue to deny that they messed up and never gave me notice that I signed up for a replenishment program (I have a screenshot of the form that they say shows that I will be charged 30 after initial shipment. It did not. They fixed the form error several weeks later, but I got the screenshot before they did).
They caused major overdrafts on my account and made me late on several bills.
They did not refund shipping for the illegally charged and shipped products.
I ordered January 30th, 2015. It is now May 22nd and they still insist that they did notify me.
They say that one order was placed over the phone. It was not. Both were online.
One said they will refund my shipping on one order for 3.99. There were TWO orders and the shipping was 11.99 each.

What a sorry company. They over send product and when you want to cancel, they hang up on you or ignore you completely. I have had to cancel credit cards to keep this company from illegally charging to my account. If I know a product is distributed by Guthey Renker, I WILL NOT BUY IT!!

This product should be BANNED! It has made my hair fall out horribly throughout but SEVERELY through the crown area. That is so far....it's STILL falling out!!! My scalp is itchy and tingly which I confused as helping my hair and my hair is dry and brittle. DO NOT purchase this product and if someone gifts it to you, say no thank you!

I called and requested that they cancel my account because I was not pleased with the product. They sent me a product after I asked to have my account cancelled- and I found out when I saw I was billed for it. It arrived 2 days later.

I sent back the whole shipment, unopened. They insist they never received it. (even though it was in the original box with their address on it) and charged me $134 for it

This company operates like Book-of-the-month Club, a fact I did not understand when I signed up. I took advantage of their 60-day return policy to send the products back and cancelled my account. Despite the cancellation, they continued to bill me. I made the purchase in February, cancelled in March, and was still receiving bill in May. Exasperated, I contacted my credit card agency to dispute the charges. Finally, in June, the company credited my purchase, 3 and a half months after the purchase. Unfortunately, the 2 charges I disputed ended up as credits as well. I notified the credit card company which reinstituted 2 of the charges. Thus, 5 credits + 2 charges = a zero balance. Except Guthy-Renker couldn't quite handle the math. They continued to bill me and threaten collection agencies.

In July I sent information to their accounting organization via fax. They would not provide any direct contact with accounting, only a fax number. Did the bills and threats stop? Nope, they kept on coming.

Finally in September I spoke with someone in Customer Service who was finally able to understand the problem and fix it. I will wait until next month to see if the dunning letters continue.

Please do your research before purchasing anything from this company or any associated company. The marketing is deceptive and borderline scam. They send you a one month supply of products with lots of "free" one month trial products and then send you a 3 month supply 2 weeks later. If you open the box, you can't return the product. They only charge you what a one month supply would cost as a reoccurring charge so you have no way of knowing that it is a three month supply unless you open the box. It's a sleazy way of doing business. When I called to find out why I continued to be charged after cancelling my membership and returning the product I was hung up on by the customer service representative.

I ordered Wen hair Care in May 2015. I called to put a hold on the next order due May 28th but the order came anyway and my account was charged. I called back June 2 to cancel and received a Email confirming the cancellation request. June 29th another order was sent and my account was charged. This is the third time customer service has not done their job. I just spoke to a supervisor and am hoping the matter will be resolved. This is a scam. It seems You can not cancel the charges coming out of your bank account. The product itself is also a scam. My hair is frizzy and does not feel clean. DO NOT ORDER FROM WEN

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service, products, and policies. They trick customers into enrolling into a scam that automatically charges your credit card for products you have no idea you signed up for and do not want. They should have a very transparent and clear opt-in option for enrollment, but they don't. Then their customer service reps are so unfriendly...their bad attitudes most likely come from the fact that they have to deal with angry people who feel duped by this company. After a frustrating experience with a customer service rep, I asked to speak with her boss and was put on hold for more than 15 minutes, until I finally gave up and hung up. NEVER AGAIN. BUYERS BEWARE!

I have been using Proactiv for quite some time and it's been working but I have too much of certain products and not enough of others. Hence, I logged into my account to adjust the delivery frequency and take some products out of my kit. However, I have not been able to access my account for over a week. The chat function on the website doesn't work so I wasn't able to get any help there. I then emailed customer service and although they were able to identify the problem, they didn't fix it. Instead they advised me to call in, which I did. The phone rep wasn't able to assist me either and told me to call back another time. So, I have emailed them once again asking for help. Since their phone hours are limited, I can't always call in for help, get left on hold, only to be told that they cannot help me. I don't have time for this, as my husband and I both work full time and have two young children at home. I am very upset with their level of professionalism and find this whole situation unacceptable, as I pay good money for these products. A loyal customer should not be treated this way.
